Warehouse, Block Away

"Oh. As with any war with guns. There will be deaths." Makalia spoke softly, stamping her feet lightly to keep warm, but not to draw undue attention to themselves. "You have a name?" She turned her attention to Tomblyn. Looking him over head to foot.

Scrabler stood at the vent and was intrigued at the sound of a new comer. he turned his eye to a weird looking thing that had ears like an animal and a fluffy red tail. but was human and animal, Scrabler had never seen such a creature and his camera eye whizzed closer and saw his other comrades talking to it. Scrabler lumbered over and butted in, "Oh the fight, its going to be awesome, blood spurting, flesh bubbling, and bones exploding. are you going to take part in the battle?"

Warehouse, Block Away
"Sorry, I should have introduced myself earlier." He held out a slender hand to the girl and gave an awkward half-grin.
"Ardane, Tomblyn Ardane. Traveling technician and repairman for all things that are mobile." Geez, formal much?
Alas, that's just how he introduced himself in that moment and to everybody else. Either way, he seemed friendly enough despite being very socially awkward. Then again, who wouldn't be? He literally just walked into a war situation.
Turning, his eyes met the appearance of the tall android and his ears seemed to twitch with disgust
"N... no. I don't like getting into fights unless I have to."

Warehouse, Block Away

"I'm Makalia." She sated simply as she gave his hand a quick shake and turned back to watch the ensuing battle. "Explosive specialist. It'll be safer back here. I don't take unnecessary risks, myself, unless the pay is very good."

Warehouse, Block Away
"Nice to meet you, Makalia." Tomblyn dipped his head and turned his attention back to what would soon be a war zone.
Explosives? Wait, who's paying her? I probably shouldn't ask, but... A low grumble from his stomach reminded him that he had been living off of dehydrated foodstuffs for too long. He felt as though he didn't eat actual food soon he would shrivel up and die. Pfft, nah, he wouldn't do that. If anybody knew Tomblyn well enough, they'd know he would just deal with it after whining for a little bit.
"Speaking of pay, might I ask who is requesting your service?"

Warehouse, Block Away

"Port Authority. Blasting away the ice to get to the permafrost to lay in the base for the new spaceport." Makalia spoke. "What's your gig?"

Warehouse, Outside
Ace seeing Scrabler hobble off face palmed himself in his mind. "Hey as much as I would love to hear what your doing over there I would like to have my back-up nearby when this stuff goes down." Ace whisper hissed into his comm. "Anyways boys you've kept me waiting here for quite some time. I am getting quite impatient I demand to see your boss this instance other wise I will take my business and go!" Ace shouted looking as much of a very powerful pissed off business man as the next guy.

Warehouse, Block Away
"Well, you see..." Seeming ashamed by how he would respond, his tail drooped down and his gaze went to the ground.
"I'm kind of a vagabond. I just wander around seeing if somebody needs help repairing a vehicle or something. It's honestly pretty hard sometimes." Tomblyn looked back up at Makalia.
So, basically what he was saying was that he was a traveling salesman, but for repairs.

Warehouse, Block Away

"Could always try Port Authority. But the pay is crappy at first for the fist few months. Then if you know your stuff...." Makalia shrugged. "Make decent money. If you stayed in the company tents. Save a bit of creds. In no time you'll be set. Be able to live decently."

Scrabler ,hearing it speak, was also interesting to him. It spoke normally as a human but appearance was not of one. Scrabler about to say more heard Ace's call. he simply shrugged and said "Oh well, 'tomblyn'." said scrabler hardly pronouncing it right, "it was nice meeting you possibly you tech skills could come in hand." Said Scrabler comically Disconnecting his mechanical skeleton hand and waving it about. he clicked it back into place and stalked back to his positon. Dear Lord what was taking those boys so long? I have places to be (not really) and things to do/loot. his grill mouth sent thin spirals of steam from the hot inter-workings of his body, creating an eery halo of fog about him. well at least I can scraped all this gore off my self, he thought. flicking out his knife arm, he began to peel gooey blood from his metal ribcage and flicking it unto the ground.

A Few Blocks West of the Warehouse

Meanwhile, a few blocks away, a rental car finally pulled up and it's occupant, an oversized ID-SOL, began to crawl out, rubbing his arms and breathing between his hands alternately to keep warm in the too small sweater he was wearing, as he pulled out his field medic pack, and checked the load for his pistol, flipping the safety off, and turning the magnetic accelerator on.

"Well then, it's settled. Up we go, Arccos. Come on." Rosemary began to slink her way around as she tried to avoid taking the attention off of Scrabler and Ace. She began to eye the warehouse for any quick and reasonable way for the two to climb up to the skylights. Maybe a pipe they can shimmy up from or just some convenient architecture designs that allowed for some climbing.

Her eyes eventually locked themselves onto some convenient spots that would allow for an ascension upwards to the skylight.

"There. Hurry up." Her voiced beckoned the Freespacer to her, her finger pointing to the vague spot that would be their ticket up. She began to ascend upwards slowly. Rose was slightly worried that the noise created from the climb would transfer through the wall and give those on the inside a head's up. Nonetheless she continued to climb carefully, her rifle draped around her via sling.

Dipping his head with a small smile, Tomblyn stood straight again.
"Thank you for the suggestion, Makalia, but I don't like working for companies." He yawned, allowing a few of his sharp teeth to be seen as he did so.
"Last time I worked for a company I was brought into... a rather unpleasant situation." The young man shuddered, making his fiery tail poof out.
Another shudder went down his spine, but this time out of displeasure. If there was one thing he disliked almost as much as being near a war or in one was when someone would say his name correctly. It wasn't even like his name was that hard to pronounce, and yet it always seemed as though somebody just had to mess it up. Or worse, call him Tom-cat.

Warehouse, Block Away

"Looks like the show is about to start," Makalia spoke pointing out the one that was making her way up the side of the warehouse. "I wish you a lot of luck, Tomblyn." Turning her attention to focus on the developing senerio.

Warehouse, Outside
Ace took a step back from the group of thugs. "You do realize I coulda been followed right and we've been out here for what like an hour and you still haven't even said anything to me if this is how tight your security is then I would like to trust my supplies in more capable hands. Now you have five minutes before any one whose been tailin me probably catches up and I don't want to be outside when that happens!" Ace made a signal for Scrabler to start. "If they aren't already here." Aries had finally broken through the system and activated a false alarm at one of the booby-trapped entrances.

Afraid he would be spotted if he waited for Cyrus, Corgan made his way to the large vent. A large fan spun lazily inside the vent, the blades rusty and heavily corroded. It would be easy enough to slip past the blade. He jumped up, grabbed the edge of the vent, and pulled himself up. The fan moved so slowly he only had to step over it. He turned back to give Cyrus a thumbs up before continuing.

While the opening was large enough that he didn't have to crouch the passage quickly grew smaller. It was not built for people to travel through after all. The half ID-SOL had to kneel to continue. He pulled the Vibro blade from its pouch and slowly made his way into the ventilation system.

Scrabler now standing in a pile of dry blood and still fresh meat, was now bored. he was curious to lay inside of the warehouse. The air duct he was to fire into must look down into the inside if only he could go in and not make a loud racket. he then hatched a plan. "HEY TOMBOLIE, I GOT A JOB FOR YOU."

Warehouse, Outside
Ace dropped his voice so that the thugs would not hear him. "For the love of...stop butchering that poor man's name . I mean I knew you were stupid but not to this degree."

Arccos didn't exactly like this plan. People were going to get shot, or burnt or worse. But then, given a position on the roof she did know her legs were sturdy enough to not break leaping down from there... Always keep a way out in mind. This woman... Rosemary? She at least seemed to know what was up. Better her than the others she'd had to deal with so far. She nodded, keeping quiet. Moving low and fast to get closer to the wall, before silently tugging at her gloves to make sure they were in order and commencing climbing the wall.

And she did it fast, her lightweight cybernetics and their associated strength letting her climb up towards the roof in leaps and bounds. Luckily the distraction was holding...

Another message in text only was sent, telling Rip the general direction of the warehouse from where he'd parked, giving him an approach route to get there without being seen at the front. "Keep unseen." was the gist of it.

Warehouse, Block Away
The young man dipped his head with a smile before he officially gave her a 'thanks' in response. To be fair, this was the first interaction he had with anybody and it wasn't for business. It was often so rare just to meet someone who didn't want him dead or use him for work right away (although he didn't mind being put to work if it meant food in his belly).
"Thank you, Miss Makali-" Now for once, war wasn't what made him irritated.
It was Scrabber, once again pronouncing his name incorrectly. The fur on his ears and tail rose like the dead on Halloween and his pupils dilated. Damn, he is not reacting well to this...
