RP: YSS Resurgence Resurgence of Yamatai - Mission 5: Expanding Horizons

Back aboard the Resurgence...

Zanven decided to stay back at the shuttle bay and get some additional flight training done at a simulator. His time spent at the advanced training facility left him feeling as though he had left what he truly wanted to do behind. He was quick to adapt to other fighters than his Nodachi, but after a few hours of dogfights he was bored and as such he ventured towards the gym area to get some exercise physically as he found his head drowned with thoughts of what to do next...

Aboard Nepleslian ship SS Spark

Sanda was only half listening to the chatter going on between her teammates, although Frank's comment about people not using kinetic firearms made her stop in her tracks for a full two seconds. Didn't he realize that the GP-2 in his own hands was a kinetic weapon? Shaking her head Sanda continued to inspect the hanger for possible targets. She remained silent as she moved away from the group to inspect possible ambush points. Once she was sure the hanger was secure she would rejoin the others in trying to find a possible entry way into the ship.

The team was in the shuttle bay of the private Nepleslian research vessel SS Spark, which was adrift in orbit over a partially-habitable machine world in a distant star system called Tr'Pocka. As they emerged from the shuttle they had discovered evidence that a firefight had broken out on the ship for reasons thus far unknown. The shuttle bay had lost atmospheric containment and internal gravity.

Cassie drifted towards a large interior hatchway, pressing her armored hands on the door's controls, which didn't respond. She started looking around for an emergency release, which she found. Soon she was slowly opening the hatch by turning a large bar in a keyhole-like slot. The air from the other side explosively puffed out with a large hiss sound and brief cloud of fog but only more a moment. Thankfully there was another hatch beyond which allowed them to use this as an impromptu airlock into the ship's interior passageways. "Ready," Cassie told the other team members.

After checking that the rest of the hanger was secure, Sanda took up a position beside the door as Cassie opened it. She waved the other team members through before asking Cassie, "Should we leave someone to guard the shuttle with Beryl?"

Yayoi nodded her her head and followed Cassie, and Sanda all the while keeping her eyes on the look out for danger, a habit she picked up on Hanako's world. She'd took her position opposite Sanda and held her Rifle ready. Once Sanda waved them threw she waited before she followed. "might be wise" She replied, Once more she found herself impressed with Sanda.

"She'll be alright," Cassie said. "Beryl, if things get sketch just take the shuttle back out into space." Cassie noticed there was a ton of communications interference. "Did you copy?""

"Copy, be prepared to leave if needed," Beryl replied through alien static.

Cassie, with her rifle slung over her shoulder, started cranking the hatch door closed on the shuttle side, making sure it had a good seal. Then she started working on the interior one.

Yayoi continued moving forward as she took in everything around her.

Sanda took a moment to pause and attach her bayonet to her sub. The 16 inch blade gave Sanda extra reach if it came to close quarters combat.

Zanven was on his way to the gym as he continued to pour over mission details while walking. He was unable to immediately react when the order was given due to an issue with his previous "save data". But now that it was fixed he was just waiting for orders as usual. He did message the captain and inform him of the backup data being up to date and that he was cleared for active duty once more. He rushed back to suit up and once he was ready he was in the co pilot chair for the mission. Once everybody was off he continued to get the live feed as he listened for additional orders. He heard some talk about guarding the shuttle and for the first time since the mission started Zanven acknowledged as he brought a rifle up and stepped out into the hangar bay. "Brax here, I will keep an eye on our shuttle. Be safe out there everyone." He said as he continued to watch the area.

The team walked through the now secure internal hatchway and into the main corridor. It was clear from the amount of smoke billowing from various bulkheads and interior areas of the ship that a sizable firefight had occurred on board some time earlier. They saw several Nepleslian corpses, and even some burnt-out armor, strewn around. A few crates and assorted equipment were also damaged from various impacts and blast. There were several bodies missing the head. There was no trace of anybody living so far, at least not inside of the ship.

Cassie approached one of the rooms that looked like it had been the galley. There was still evidence of a firefight, but no bodies. Her eyes scanned the room; all she saw was some scorched food and some overturned tables. "What the heck happened here?" she asked out loud. "These Nepleslians got killed by melee weapons," she added, trying to scratch her head but just bouncing her glove off her helmet with a dull metallic thunk.

Sanda's weapon was up sweeping the room. She wasn't disturbed by the corpses. She had seen them before. She stooped next to one and examined the wounds to the body before gently closing the eyes of the dead man. She checked the man's pockets for some form of ID.

Yayoi crouched down to one of the bodies while closing the eyes of one of the dead she turned her attention to their injuries she hoped to see if she could discover what killed them.

Sanda discovered that the man was apparently a private military contractor for a company called Nepleslian Frontier Acquisitions and his name was Robert Ghent, of Funky City Nepleslia, and he had a level 3 clearance on the ship with this ID card. He was armed with two handguns, and an automatic shotgun which had been emptied. He was dressed in military fatigues and had been killed by something that had inflicted severe slash damage. It didn't look like he had died that long ago.

Sanda turned to Yayoi and asked. "Blade, is this the kind of wounds Rixx give?" Yayoi being the authority on the subject since she had fought the disgusting creatures for over 2 years on Hanako's world.

"Yes," Cassie said. "But if it's Rixxikor, where's all the shit? Why haven't they eaten the bodies?"

Zanven began to scan the hangar, looking for something that may have been missed from the first sweep. There was nothing out of the ordinary...ordinance and some food stuffs when something felt...off...

Zanven's eyes caught a glimpse of some movement on the ceiling near a ventilation system.

"the fuck." He caught something move near the vent on the ceiling. It was the same door the away team moved through earlier and he immediately pointed his rifle up as the bright LED light bathed the area around the vent in heavy light. There was an ominous feeling causing the adrenaline to start pumping.

Yayoi glanced over to Sanda then back to the wounds "yes it looks Rixxikor to me, but Cassie's right, why haven't the bugs-" She got distracted by the light and glanced over "see something?' she asked hoping beyond hope that they werent too late, or that what she'd seen on hanako's world wasnt here.

Suddenly Zanven was pushed off his feet by a hulking mass of metal and glowing mist, a vaguely humanoid construct made of thousands of shifting machine parts. Blades burst from its sides and stabbed at him with incredible speed.

"shit! Contac.." he was in open radio chatter, his feed being transmitted to the bridge and to Beryl as the blades shot forth, stabbing at the man at an incredible speed. He rolled to the side before somersaulting backwards towards the shuttle. He felt the blood pumping as he breathed in sharply. He dropped the rifle and was about to tell Beryl to leave when he heard the rounds being shot. A blade grazed against the helmet and he gasped but immediately moved towards his rifle. "Beryl get the hell out of here!" Zanven said as he immediately grabbed his side arm with his off hand and fired a few rounds.

Yayoi stood up swiftly and powered her rifle, and prepared herself for combat.

"Contact. Resurgence we have enemy contact." Sanda radioed the ship as she was moving. Talking did nothing to slow down her rapid movement as she raised her weapon and began shooting.

"Shit, am I supposed to just go?" Beryl said. That's what Cassie had told her, but she didn't feel right just abandoning a teammate in trouble. "Damn," she said, grabbing her NSP and shooting the thing on Zanven until she saw another one of them coming at her and she slammed the door controls and rushed to the cockpit, launching into space. "I'm so sorry Zanven," she said, not feeling right about it even though those were her orders.

Yayoi spoke "yes go! we can't afford to allowing whatever the hell this is to get in the shuttle. She followed after Sanda as she too began shooting at the floating blades. She didn't want the creature getting to the ship either which if it had intelligence it might be able to.

he heard the apology and emptied his magazine before holstering his sidearm. Was this fucking insane...yes, but he was there now and as the shuttle pulled out he backed towards the door of the away team as he shot at the blades being fired back at him. "Good thing I got that backup straightened out.." He said as he tried to focus, he could do this in a fighter...it was time he showed what the training he took was worth.

The creatures in the shuttle nimbly maneuvered in microgravity and were all over him, attacking with stabbing blades and trying to fuse with his armor, which was starting to cause errors it its systems. It was like touching them was spreading a computer virus to his armor suit.

Cassie ran back to the airlock and started cranking the hatch open as fast as she could so that Sanda and Yayoi could get back into the shuttle bay to help Zanven.

Yayoi waited while trying to control her impatience at the fact that her comrad was trapped

Seeing the errors popping up in his HUD he knew there was likely little time left. He prepped to throw some ordinance. The door behind him swung open and in a moment he 3knew that there was reprieve. "Watch out, their messing with my suit. Tossing a grenade!" He said as he said a small warning and pushed for the door while throwing the grenade as hard as he could before detonating it between the two creatures.

As soon as Cassie had the airlock door open Sanda began to fire at the creature closest to Zan. Her cyberntic targeting allowed he to make pinpoint shots.

Once the doors were open Yayoi gunned her gun's firing at the creature so fast she was certain that her gun would shatter.

Delmira would fire on the same target as Sanda having appeared next to her fellow soldier. Her aether beam saber rifle spitting out shots at her target.

As the creatures were hit, chunks of damaged material would fall off them in chunks only for new material to surge up to those places and replace them with new material. The constant motion of their shiny and minicule machine parts almost gave them a liquid-like appearance. Under the increased fire from the away team, they retreated for the moment into the vents. Another pushed past the team and went into the ship's interior, attempting to drag Cassie along into the ship. Cassie started screaming as she was grabbed by the neck unexpectedly. She fired her wrist cannons into the thing repeatedly trying to get it off.

Zanven fell into the airlock and brought his rifle up, only to be knocked over as one of the creatures barreled through the door towards the interior. On his back he saw the creature attempting to drag Cassie off. "Fuck!" He muttered and rolled and started to shoot until his magazine was empty. Zanven was aiming for the arm that had Cassie.

Sanda activated her bayonet's Aether blade and slashed at the arm gripping Cassie.

Delmira turned and powered her aether saber rifles blade and stabbed at the creature her shoulder mounted shotgun popped up to aim at the creature.

Yayoi activated her hidden blades and began using them to slash at the creature"get your fucking hands off her you damned piece of crap!" She said with more righteous anger she'd ever felt

Damaged, the creature dropped Cassie down the passageway and dove into an access hatch which led into a maintenance tunnel.

Sanda was right behind the thing but couldn't follow it safely into the maintenance tunnel. She blasted at it with her sub until the thing was out of sight. Bitting back a curse that the thing got away before she could kill it she swung back around to the group. "Alright people, regroup and stay frosty."

Delmira fired her shotgun when the beast dropped Cassie. She moved just past Cassie and proved cover for Sanda with her Aether saber rifle.

Yayoi dove to grab Cassie and held her close as she watched for the creature.

Zanven stood up and reloaded before turning back towards the hangar and once it was deemed clear he closed the door once more before moving to regroup with the team. He eyed them as the creature got away...he was mad they couldn't stop it then, but...he was at least glad that Cassie was saved. "Thanks for the save..." he said as he was quickly going through subroutines in his armor, the damage was enough to damage some life support systems.

Sanda glanced at Zan and Cassie but mostly she was focused on her surroundings. "You two ok?" She asked. She tired to update the Resurgence but was having trouble getting through.

Cassie rapidly pulled the last of the discarded parts of the creature off her neck like it was a bunch of cockroaches, cursing and whimpering and checking her neck. "I think that thing messed up my armor's computer, I'm not getting any communications or telemetry from the Resurgence anymore," she said.

But it wasn't just Cassie. They were cut off.

Hearing that Cassie was now having issues after the attack Zan was running diagnostics, soon he was getting the same errors as he sighed. "Glad you are OK Cassie, and yeah Sanda I will be fine, just minor damage to the armor, but I have nothing in communications either."

"Any idea what the Infierno fresco those things were?" Sanda asked. Her motion tracker was set to max and she had both her sub and her shoulder weapons scanning her surroundings. She wished that Koyama was there. She'd know what the hell those things were. Or even Mochi.

Delmira's ears twitched inside of there armored sheaths on her helmet the short neko was using her armors external audio to listen for sounds of the creatures while remaining vigilant. Her leg mounted mini missiles popped into ready position and her shotgun was scanning around.

"Never seen anything like it," Cassie replied to Sanda. "Some kind of AI robot constructs, maybe?"

"Whatever the hell they were...They seemed to have some sort of basic knowledge and self preservation protocol when shit hit the fan for them. However, case and point. we are now in danger, and without a way to get backup or find out what is going on outside...we need to find a way to stop them before we can get communications back to go back to the ship." Zanven said as he checked his ammo, looking at the sensors that DID work, he was able to at least realize there was oxygen. He would pull his helmet off to examine the damage, the gouge marks and cuts from the blades were deep, but nothing that would destroy the arrays in the helmet. He saw Sanda scanning the area and then spoke up as he put his helmet back on. "How far did you all get in here anyway?" He asked as he readied his weapons for further combat and made sure he was ready to go as he scanned the corridor as well...keeping an eye on the vents as that was how this all started anyway.

A knock would sound from the other side of the airlock. "They seem to have missed me May I enter?" Frank asked while checking the sheild cloaks remaining energy. he didnt think he had been missed if he had to guess the cloud of robotic mist as these things were had probably known there were there upon entering the ship. In fact when Zanven was attacked by one Frank was busy with one as well having belived he gave it the slip after it used the same knife trick on him and ripped apart his gp-2. if and when the door would open 1 of the 20 mini missle pods slots was empty and still at the ready as frank held onto his heavy armor rifle in his hands.

Hearing the knock, Zanven would swing back towards the airlock door as he brought up his rifle once more. He was about to ask what to do before Frank's voice could be heard on the comm once again. He looked at the others and wanted to make sure everyone had their helmets on. "One second Frank, making sure environmental hazards won't fuck us over." He said as he was making sure his systems were in check, he was sure he was the only one to really pull off his helmet and afterwards he would let the man in and quickly shut the door behind him and lock it. "Good to see you are still kicking! How the hell were you not fucking rushed like I was?" He asked with a tone of annoyance, but regardless he was happy that Frank was back with the team.

Frank points to the mini missile pod on his back. "Their smart enough to retreat and regroup so their sentient but they are also smart enough to not target the guy with about 20 missles to burn threw." Once things had settled down a bit. He looked around.

"Look we don't exactly know what those things are but if we're tossing two cents around I think they are nanotech. Further more we know explosives are a effective detergent as bullets don't seem to offer the same effect." Frank added

Aboard Nepleslian ship SS Spark

Once Frank had rejoined the group, Sanda had everyone move. The main hallway near the hanger was too constricted with too little cover to be a good place to stand around and talk. The galley where they had been examining the bodies before Zanven got jumped seemed as good a place as any to regroup.

As they reentered the room, Sanda did a quick sweep to make sure it was clear. Once she was certain it was, Sanda said, "Cassie and Zanven, double check your armor is still functioning properly. We don't know what kind of damage those things can do and it'll be good to gather all the intel on them and their capabilities." She looked down at the bodies again. After seeing those things in action, she could now see how they had swept through the room and taken out the crew. Every spent shell casing and every blood splatter told a story. Put all together and it was as if Sanda had been there to see the battle play out. It hadn't been pretty, but the ship's crew had fought back like the Nepleslian Bastards they were.

Sanda was of two minds. Part of her wanted to have the team hold here while she and maybe Yayoi tried to recon the rest of the ship to check for survivors or intel. Gutsy, more like reckless. They had no idea how many of those things there were. Their best bet would be to head for the bridge as a group, providing cover. She had found a key card on one of the bodies so hopefully that would provide them access to the bridge.

"Cassie," Sanda said after she was sure the Heisho had run another check on her armor. "I think we should move on to the bridge." She held up the key card and continued. "From the bridge we can gather the most intel on what the ship is doing out here and what has happened to it. We move out together, me or Yayoi taking point, the rest of you covering us. We run into trouble, we kill." Even though she still had her helmet on there was no mistaking the smile in her voice. "At least, that's my suggestion."

YSS Resurgence

Mochi had spent most of this mission up on Deck 1, running scans and data down from the Combined Sensor Dome which was only a few steps from the Science Lab. Euikoshi had filled in on the Bridge in the meantime, as had now become the norm. Mochi's thoughts were that there were usually enough officers on the Bridge and there was more he could do as the CSO up here.

Once the Away Team were beginning to board, the Elysian made his way to Deck 2's Monitoring Room, which he hadn't much use for up till now, given it required SPINE to be used as a secondary Bridge. Luckily, some of his recent adaptations were coming in handy. It was an odd experience, using SPINE, that reminded him of back when he was a Minkan. Kind of freaky, but it allowed him to monitor things more easily as the Away Team progressed. SPINE even allowed him talk to the other Bridge crew as if he was in the room.

However, once the communications were cut off from the boarding party, the situation was looking to deteriorate very quickly. "Captain, if we've encountered unknown hostiles, we don't know what their capabilities are- I'd recommend training our point-defence turrets on that ship in case anything comes out of the bay doors." He could see why past officers he'd known were so in love with SPINE, it really was something else.

"Once they get back we should quarrantine them until we're sure no biological or computer virus jumps over. In the meantime, would you like me to scramble a relief team to try and regain contact? We might be able to catch the hostiles in a pincer movement?" While speaking, Mochi tried to focus their scanners on punching through the hull of the Nepleslian ship, so they could at least see where the Away Team was. However, he made sure to keep an eye on wide-band sensors for any ships that might be sneaking up on the Resurgence.

Frank let out a sigh as he thought of possible problems and solutions for those problems. "Cassie promission to make my way to the engine room and attempt to take it out? my reasoning is even if we take the bridge if they rerout the power we are probably screwed as they can do a lot more damage from there." Looking around to the others in the squad. he would add. "Look I got ammo and experience to Attempt this however its statistically a better option then sending two people. if it gets two hairy I can double back."

Aboard Nepleslian ship SS Spark
Yayoi kept her habitual looking around as Sanda spoke. She heard the voices of the away team ad processed what they were saying. She took note of franks appearance and found herself wondering if he had been attacked too. She thought that both the Bridge and the Engineering section were good choices for destination. “Either ay, I think we may have found what killed them, unfortunately I don’t know if its Kuvexian or Rixxlor made, though I have seen what they are capable of. I’d recommend we try reestablish communications and guarantee the ship. Where ever we are going, keep all eyes and sensors in case of trouble. Speaking of, any one confirm on what hurts the creatures?”

HEaring the order from Sanda he made another array sweep as he watched his HUD go through all the startup checks for his power armor. As he said before once it got to communications there were long range errors for his comms, but local channels still worked, and then finally his life support systems came up with an error message and showed there was a percentage drop in oxygen available. "Looks as I said before, long range comms are offline, and life support was damaged. Which means if we run into somewhere without oxygen I may start to run low, so if there was a way to repair that I should be golden, for now though I am ready to go." He reported as Frank and the others spoke, it seemed as though there were three paths; Taking out the ships engines, going to engineering, or going to the bridge. It would either be time to split the away team or tackle each objective collectively. There was more firepower that way, but they would be slower..."If I may interject, I could go with Frank to help cover, or be ready to go to the bridge to try and see what I can do to pilot the ship." He was confident in his words , but still wanted to hear what was going to be happening from Sanda.

Frank turned to hear Zanven out but upon finding out his life support was damaged He let out a audible sigh and went to grasp the bridge of his nose only to have his hand hit the faceplate. "As much as I would like your compony Zanven I think you would best be served if you accompanied the bridge crew." thinking briefly and taking things into account he gave a separate suggestion. "Okay how bout this, if we have any engineers with us might I request one goes with me to the engine room once the power is kicked back on those things will most likely be very pissed however it would allow bridge team to redirect the power to communications to get a better single out to the resurgence. its going to be risky but I feel its the best shot we got to at the very least warn our forces."

Thaddeaus made his way to the front of the group. He so far had been hanging back partly at the request of Mia. She did not wish to become a widow so soon, even if this was the entire reason he didn't want her getting involved with him. Since to die in battle was a good way to go but that would have to wait for another day.

He slowly raised his hand as he walked up to Frank. "I may not have the title of engineer but I have done well to read up on the matter in great detail." He paused before he continued. "These things are for sure not going to like the systems coming back online but this is our best option." Thad had experienced wild things during his last mission so these things was par for the course. He just hoped they wouldn't find the queen in the engineering bay. "And as always, I brought loots of explosives to give these things a really good time." He could not help but grin.

Sanda had given her recommendations so she stepped back from the group to let them discuss what they should do next. There was way too much discussion going on for her liking. Instead she took a moment to try her coms to reach the ship. Nothing. She ran a diagnostic, her coms seemed to be in working order, but nothing was getting through. She tired several channels but came up with nothing each time. "Ok, ¿así es como va a ser?" She had learned a few tricks over the years. One of the things they taught you in Ranger school was how to get a signal out if you were being jammed. It wasn't recommended except for emergency situations because it wasn't a secure line and your enemy would not only hear it, they could easily trace it back to where you were. Course that wasn't much of a threat to them. It wasn't like the enemy didn't already know they were there or anything.

Sanda selected an open channel and began to pulse out a message in dots and dashes. This way, even through a jammer, the attempts would be heard as short or long bursts. Sanda's message was simple, as not to over complicate things. Thunder to Resurgence. Unknown Hostiles Engaged. Zero Casualties. Attempting to take bridge. Standby. After sending the message she paused a moment and tried again. She continued to send the message while she scanned her surroundings for possible attackers and took another look around the room. She spotted a terminal in the corner. There didn't seem to be any power running to it but she might still be able to pull a map of the ship up or something.

Frank looked to thad held before Holding his had out to Thad. "then lets you and I show these buggers why its a bad idea to piss off two half ID-sols." Frank stated in admitting he was a half ID-Sol before becoming a minkin. Looking to the rest of the unit he points to him and Thad. "Me and the big guy here will pull a distraction while a combat engieneer gets the power on for the bridge team to send a comunication line out."
Looking to Cassie. he rubs the back of his head. "whatever you decide to do though, be carful." Frank said softly to her.

Thad could not help but smile as he watched Frank get sweet on Cassie. It was nice to see things have worked out well. Thad reached over and gave Frank a pat on the back of his Mindy. "Come on boss, lets go send those things back to the dark ages. I am sure you have have much better things to do than playing with bugs." Since he was in a Mindy, he sent over a winky face over to Frank. It was time to get this show on the road and see about getting power restored.

Sanda's hand was a mere inch from the terminal when she suddenly brought her weapon up. She looked around a moment, slightly confused. She had felt such a premonition of danger. She began to lower her weapon when her motion tracker started to ping. That was it. It was time to move.

Sanda spun around and looked over the away team, assessing each member's strength's and weaknesses in a glance. They had two objectives. Take control of the bridge and get the ship's power back up and running. That meant two teams. Split up the Rangers. Sanda would head for the bridge, Yayoi Engineering. They should also split up the Heishos, and since Yayoi was already heading to Engineering, that put Cassie heading to the bridge. Maximus claimed to have some engineering background and as no one else had volunteered he was their only option. Frank had already volunteered to go to Engineering so that was an easy one. Zanven was a pilot, so he would be the only one who would have any idea what was what on the Bridge. That just left Del. It was divided evenly already with three and three. Which group would need the extra firepower? Probably Engineering. Larger space, harder to lock down. Send Del to Engineering.

All that flashed through Sanda's mind in an instant. Out loud she said quickly but calmly. "Blade, take Frank and Del and cover Maximus while he gets the ship's power back online. I'll track down the ship's Bridge with Cassie and Zanven and see if we can't signal the Resurgence and try to lock these things out. Keep in contact." Her motion tracker pinged again and Sanda spun around bringing her Sub up and began to fire at an open hatchway. One of those things had rounded the corner a half second after Sanda had pulled the trigger and had walked right into her deluge. The creature took the fire dead one. Overwhelmed, it quickly went back the way it had come leaving what seemed to be several small piles of glowing remains like before. Sanda turned around. "Move it people!"

Team 2, heading for the Bridge

Sanda moved forward in a half crouch, her weapon was raised and sweeping the area before her. She held up her hand to signal the two behind her to hold a moment. They had come upon an intersection and Sanda wanted to check it before moving forward. She activated her stealth mode and disappeared from sight. Slowly she moved forward and stood with her back against one wall right up against the turn. Slowly she checked one way then the other as far as she could see. Nothing. Motion tracker was quite as well. She then moved into the intersection and moved to the right. She went a short way down that hall but didn't see any contacts. She also didn't see any indication that this was the way to the bridge. She moved back to the intersection and tried the left side. This way also looked clear and there was a sign that signaled the bridge was that way. Sanda waited another count of 10 to make sure there was nothing around before going back. She turned off her stealth mode and signaled the others to move up.

Delmira nodded her head. "Copy." she said over the groups coms. She looked at Thad and while things may have soured between them she would do her best to be professional and hopefully not get him killed, not that death is very permanent. She checked over her weapons and ammunition, her shoulder mounted shotgun was down one round but she could work with that, she did load up on other weapons after all. While she wasnt attacked she checked over her own armor just in case. "Ready when you guys are."

Zanven took a quick look around, and after being rejected he understood why he was not going to engineering, but he was just trying to help as much as he could. When the order was givven that they were to move to the bridge Zanven replied over the comms "Copy." It was right after Delmira spoke to Thad and Frank, They had their orders and it was time to move.

Following his team to the bridge he was taking the flan position to cover their backs as they moved from corridor to corridor. They were steady and moved in a pattern that spoke mountains to their training. Everyone was keeping to themselves, only calling out when needed. When Sanda gave them hand signals to wait, Zanven posted up and waited patiently. All in all it was deathly quiet...a thing that would normally be eerie, but on a ghost ship it was...even worse. "Sanda, once we get to the bridge it will be paramount that we go through the captain's logs. There should be a way to access them at the bridge, but we are going to need to find the body first...biometric locks might at least be the least of our worries." He said as he kept his eyes ahead.
