Before the landing

He heard Thad getting to work on getting her helmet off, and he had to admit, it was a gruesome sight, but he at least had some medical experience. He switched the controls back to auto and went to the first aid station and grabbed the auto-injector and Anti-inflammatory medication. "Del, I am sorry I did not bring Poppy, but we should have all been seen before going back into the main area of the ship...so breaking orders? What orders? Also...you kind of needed the pickup...or would you rather just be uploaded into a new body once you died?" He said rather bluntly before injecting her with the medication. After the initial dose was administered, he went back to the med kit and grabbing a vial of endurance. "This should at least help with the pain until we can get you to Poppy." He would say as he injected her with it at her neck again near the first injection site. Once he was done he would dispose of the used canisters and look up at Thad, concern in his eyes after what he had seen, but he kept it together as he went back to the flight controls, radioing the bridge once more. "Brax here, once we have landed, we are in need of a stretcher and prep med bay for Delmira...the armor is...well it will need some work to come off. Please advise, I have administered Anti-inflammatory medication and Endurance for pain management and to keep her upright." He said as he continued to monitor the ship.

Sanda smiled as she finished the set she was on. She was glad that Yayoi hadn't left. "Sure." Sanda said as she sheaved her blade before unstrapping it from her leg. The thought of just attacking Yayoi with the blade to test her crossed Sanda's mind but she decided against it. There were too many regulations about live blade training and Sanda wasn't in the mood for it. Safety regulations also dictated that you should have a sharp weapon on your persons during sparing because in the heat of a match the reflex to grab a weapon on you was too much of a risk.

After setting her blade aside, Sanda went right at Yayoi. The two had done a lot of sparing since they had met up. Yayoi was typically faster, Neko reflexes and all that, but Sanda was tenacious and could take many a hit and still keep going. At Giretsu school, Sanda had learned many a new technique and could move much faster than before. It still didn't match that of a Neko, but it wasn't so obvious as the first time they had spared.

After several minutes of lighting fast sparing they separated to catch their breaths. Between breaths, Sanda asked, "So what's going on Blade? You don't seem quite yourself after that last mission?" Sanda got back in her stance and motioned for Yayoi to come at her. "You want to talk about it or keep going?" There was a slight taunt to her voice.

Dojo

Yayoi had been correct it was better to fight a real live person than a punching bag. A living, breathing being can react and make it harder. She knew that while Yayoi was fast, Sanda was durable, so she wasn’t as worried about hurting her too much. It was the thing she liked about Sanda, her strength, and also her personality. Though in truth Yayoi wasn’t sure about her feelings, true feelings regarding Sanda, but one thing she did know was that as a fellow Ranger, and Giretsu-trained comrade. Yayoi thought of Sanda as a sister, though she wasn’t sure if she should say that.

She stepped back as they caught their breaths, heavy breathing left her before quickly becoming normal calm breaths. Sanda started talking and, of course, she would ask about how she was doing. Sanda has been training with her for a while. She knew when Yayoi was hiding something, faking it. They couldn’t have trained and fought alongside each other, and that did not happen. Yayoi chose not to reply and instead she charged forward, bringing her right and left fist up to perform a double jab at her.

She thought of putting her in a rear choke hold, but she waited for her opportunity.

Dojo

Sanda was forced back several steps by the sudden charge. She had half expected Yayoi to talk, not attack. Sanda smiled to herself, but not for very long. She was too busy fighting off Yayoi's attacks. The two woman weren't holding anything back. Sanda could feel that in Yayoi's hits. The two attacked, parried and countered so quickly. In a normal sparing match the goal was to bring your opponent to the ground where you had control. Then you'd let you opponent up and go again. There was no stopping in this sparing. You stopped when your opponent tapped.

Sanda had Yayoi on the defense when the Neko broke the Nepleslian's grip and got around behind her. The choke hold was the last thing Sanda expected. She had let Yayoi get behind her and that could be fatal. Sanda managed to get her right hand in between Yayoi's arm and her throat. Using the enhanced strength of her cybernetic arm Sanda managed to get her chin down protecting her neck. Sanda had a few inches on Yayoi and used them. She got her feet under her and lifted Yayoi off the ground. Before the Neko could user her hover ability's, Sanda tucked and rolled the Neko off her back and followed up with a headlock of her own. However Yayoi broke away from it and escaped.

After that both woman seemed to come to an unspoked mutual agreement to pause and regain their breath. Between breaths, Sanda said, "Ok girl. Out with it." She had her eyes closed as she tried to regain her breath but opened them to continue. "What's bothering you? We've worked too long together for me to tell something has got you worked up. I think it runs deeper than just the misión de mierda we just had." Sanda looked at her friend with real concern. "Come on girl, it's me. Your fellow Ranger and Giretsu. If you can't open up to me who can you open up to?"

Sanda fought hard, impressing the Neko once again as they sparred. She knew the goals of a typical sparring, but she wanted to try and make this not so typical. She hadn’t tried to take her down, she held back from that. Though certainly wanted to get her in a hold of some kind to see if she could and it turns out she had been able to do so. But Sanda had escaped the hold, surprising her. This surprise allowed Sanda to get her up, and had managed to get behind her again before she escaped.

The Neko found herself breathless, so she didn’t move to attack Sanda allowing the other to catch her breath again. It seemed that Sanda refused to give up on asking how she was doing. She couldn’t help but chuckle at her stubbornness. But she thought of Sanda as her sister, and indeed they both were Rangers and Giretsu. She sighed “Shitty mission is right, ” she said finally, after a few seconds as she straightened herself up.

“I’m such a shitty Nito Heisho. It isn’t even funny. In the last mission, it felt like our weapons weren’t effective against the abominations, just small tiny pieces of them, not whole parts, not even themselves. Maybe my sensors were screwing up even then. Then in the Engineering room, Frank got compromised by those shit-cans, and got dragged into the vents, and had to sacrifice himself, and I’m hoping to anything that the ships attack destroyed those things, but then Delmira stripped out of her Mindy, and went after him, to secure his body or something but does the Nito Heisho in group order her back? noo, she did not, she was so damn distracted! It was just like back then on Hanako’s world!” She said, slumping to the ground to sit, while crossing her legs.

“There was a mission back there, where I had been so distracted that I actually got captured, and so did a few people I was with. We tried to put up a fight, but one by one, they died, and were brought to him” he said, indicating with a thumb to the punching bag that looked like a Rixlor. “I hate every one of his people, but him, he was the first one for me to specifically hate more. He.. he likes to eat..” she doesn’t finish “and one time, he brought me to the table so I could watch helplessly as he... “ She closed her eyes a moment. “Fortunately, they hadn’t realized that the limb you saw me using when we met, had a hidden weapon, so while they were distracted by the spectacle, I managed to get free, and with the Neko equivalent of an adrenaline rush, I butchered the entire hive with the other prisoner's aid. The last I saw of him some angry prisoners were saying hello.” She finished speaking to let Sanda process the words she was saying.

“In case your wondering about that” She indicated to the dummy” It's therapeutic to punch him repeatedly, I got the ship’s fabricators to make it. Though I think it displeased some technicians, one even asked why I would want something so stupid looking to be created.” She said.

Sanda listened to Yayoi speak without much comment. Until she had finished by talking about the dummy punching bag. That made Sanda smile. "It is pretty ugly."

Sanda rolled her neck around and let out sigh. "The galaxy is a pretty rough place. Most people just want to live their lives in peace. Raise a family, run a business. That's why we're here. Our job is to protect those people so they do have safe lives. But we're not all powerful. We can't always keep everyone safe. We just do our job to the best of our ability." She rolled her cybernetic shoulder around like a windmill. "Every mission you go on is also not going to go exactly how you plan it. That's why they train us so much. Del and Frank, they knew the risks when the joined the military and when they went on this mission. You can't beat yourself up every time something goes wrong on a mission. That's what being a good Heisho is. Learning from what has happened and moving forward."

Sanda untied her hair again and retied it back into a tight pony tail. "I feel like I'm rambling, but I think we both know what I'm trying to say." She looked back at the dummy punching bag. "We can't go back and change the past, as much as we'd like to... My advice, get rid of it. You don't need to keep that monster's memory alive. And look, if anytime you want to talk, or just want someone to listen and be silent, I'm here. I like to think that you can come to me if something is bothering you and I believe you'd do the same for me if I was struggling with something." Sanda smirked and added, "I ain't big on all that touchy-feely stuff, but I'd even be there to give you a hug or a shoulder to cry on if needed. But don't tell anyone that and por todo lo que es santo don't ever let Maximus hear that!"

Dojo
Yayoi listened as Sanda first commented on the dummy’s appearance and her agreement with the technician who commented on it. It must really be bad if they both didn’t like it. But as Sanda spoke to her, she found that Sanda was correct. Del and Frank signed up for the military. They knew the risk, and she remembered they will be back very soon.

She glanced at the dummy and wondered if its presence was doing more harm than good, before glancing at Sanda as she continued to speak. Sanda thought she should get rid of it too, so she had a feeling she should. “You're right, of course, ” she said finally as she got up from where she was sitting. “I’ll get rid of that thing, and of course, I promise not to let Maximus hear that,” she said to her as she stretched her arms before speaking.

“Tienes razón, por supuesto en todo lo que dijiste, supongo que estaba bajo presión, antes tenía que cuidar a mis hermanas pequeñas a medida que pasábamos por el entrenamiento y ahora estaban todas separadas y tengo nuevas personas a las que cuidar. Hablando de Hermanas, Sanda pensé que deberías saberlo, para confirmar, pero me gustas como lo haría una hermana.” She waits to see her reaction.

[ooc: I tried a translation site not sure if it was correct but
Translation: You're right, of course, in everything you said. I suppose I was under pressure before I had to take care of my little sisters as we go through training, and now were all separated and I have new people to look after. Speaking of Sisters, Sanda I thought you should know, to confirm, but I like you as a sister would. ]

Deck Two, Hallway

After a long, arduous battery of negotiations, the tired-looking First Officer had returned. She had traveled in comfort. KFY produced one of the fastest civilian ships on the market, after all. At the airlock, she’d spared a moment to pass a few words to the escort that had attended her. Placing her hands on the biceps of one of the white yukata-clad and red hakama guardians. The taller Nekovalkyrja looked down on her charge, showing a complex mixture of emotion. This was a private thing, almost intimate in a way known only to those who lived amongst them.

Koyama had switched back to her Type-42 Bodysuit just before arrival. Finally, free of the garb she had been forced into wearing for the IRC felt good. The feel of the uniform tightly conforming to her body providing some measure of comfort. It had gone well enough they had tested her nerves to their limit.

Dealing with the various races within the sector. And a few outside of its confines. At least that had been fascinating. In-between sessions, she had taken the time to mingle. Some of it was still a blur. Well, a lot of it was a blur.

The rolling suitcase barely made a sound on the deck as the airlocks closed. The ship detached and made ready to be on its way. Once clear enough, there was a brief blue-white flash of light as its Hyperfold engines engaged. Heaving a sigh of relief the intake of recycled air and innate sounds of the Fuji-class Gunship was an added comfort to the stressed Neko’s return.

Koyama sent a brief message to the captain. Asking him if he desired her to return to duty immediately while she almost stalked down deck two’s hall with the suitcase.

Sanda's head snapped around as Yayoi began speaking in her heart language. It took Sanda a moment to remember that Neko's had digital brains and could download things like languages. But she still appreciated the gesture. Smiling, Sanda put an arm around Yayoi. "Sí, somos hermanas."

After a moment though, Sanda scrunched up her nose and pushed Yayoi away; just like a big sister would do to her little sister. "Alright. One of us stinks. Lets hit the showers then write up our report. I'm sure the Captain is very anxious to read our report on what happened."

When she saw Sanda’s reaction to speaking Sanda’s language, Yayoi actually almost smiled as she found amusement in the reaction. She felt great pleasure when Sanda also confirmed that they were indeed sisters. One didn’t go through battle and not feel a bond of family with another person. To feel her hugging her even just one arm felt good to her, but of course, she just had to act like a big sister and push her away.

“One of us stinks? I don’t know, I mean you got as good as I gave; shouldn’t it be both of us stink?” Though it was true the captain was waiting for their report, and now that she felt better she thought she should work on her report. She wasn’t looking forward to the tongue lashing.

Delmira grumbled but the pain subsided at least for now. She would be pretty placid while the pain medicine kept her going. Now that she was in a temperature controlled ship she could feel the effects of her injuries. She purred softly and closed her eyes even though the Endurance would keep her awake she could at least relax while the shuttle was heading to land.

SHUTTLE BAY

Poppy arrived in the shuttle bay with an anti-gravity stretcher. "Keep her in her suit for now," she directed the away team. She leaned over Delmira and assured her, "You're going to be okay, I'm going to give you something for the pain," she told her. "We'll get you free of that suit once we get to the medical lab."

"Oh thank god." Delmira said when she was transferred to the stretcher. If the situation wasn't so serious it would almost be comical given how she almost looked like a bug frozen in place. "I look forward to being free of this suit."

Once Delmira was moved, Poppy carefully brought her up to the medical lab where she would hook her up to a supply of hemosynth and then began cutting the suit away slowly. "Do you want to be awake for this or just wake up fixed?" she asked the infantry neko. "I am probably going to have to remove and replace skin with an artificial replacement."

"i wouldn't mind being asleep for this one." She said honestly. "I think i took a healthy dose of radiation as well."

"Alright, I'll see you again soon," Poppy said, using a computer terminal to administer a Nekovalkyrja sedative through the hemosynth stream. After Delmira was out she began the gruesome repair work.

Thad had tagged along with Del to the medical bay. He figured that maybe he could be of some help. Granted this was after he removed his armor. He waited for Del to wake up after being put back together.

"Unless you have a medical emergency, leave," Poppy told Thad. "We've been through this before. Also this will take a while." She paused her work on Delmira to stare at him waiting for him to leave. He could see her gloves were caked in ashes and blood.

Thad rolled his eyes at her but did listen. We went out into the hall and waited.

BRIDGE

Captain Aoba had Kalena scan the wreckage of the SS Spark and, satisfied, turned his attention to the machine planet below. "What kind of away team can we send down there?" he asked Mochi and Yayoi via wireless.

Yayoi blinked as she got a call from the Captain "Well, a lot of the Power armor is damaged or destroyed, I'm not sure what we can send down there."

"Find out and get back to me," Aoba told her. "I don't want to linger here longer than we need to."

Yayoi nodded "copy that."

Mochi seemed unusually on edge. Ordinarily the Elysian was quite confident and controlled in whatever the situation aboard might be. However, right now his sunburst wings were audibly rustling, almost like a nervous tic.

Mochi tap-tapped on the XO's station, as if that would calm his nerves. "Well, Captain. In all honesty I would advise against it on principle. The likelihood is that whatever we encounter down there, it could cause crew members we send to be stranded."

The science officer spoke a little quicker than usual. "Ordinarily, our equipment is advanced and robust enough not to be affected by most first contact experiences. However this 'digital virus' and the extent that its effects could be felt when exposed to a whole planet of the virus.. It could annihilate whatever it touches."

Mochi paused and added, "If you're adamant about sending people rather than probes to test.. As far as we know, the pod still exists down there. Maybe having whatever Mindies or crew we send broadcast that same signal could help? That's a big maybe. We might rattle the hornet's nest whereas a single pod is small enough to go unnoticed."

"Good thinking," Aoba nodded. "Rig the ship to emit that jamming signal. We'll do a low pass and see if we can find these Nepleslians and extract them without landing the ship or anything with a computer. If needed, maybe we can use one of the STVs. They're a very basic vehicle with not a lot of 'brains' to take over and the tires will keep them main vehicle from touching the surface and provide electrical insulation."

Mochi nodded quickly at the Captain's approval. "Aye, sir. I'll set it up." With that, the firebird darted out of the room, no doubt to dash around and do what was required.

LOWER DECK

Yayoi turned to look at Sanda and spoke "come on, the captain wants me to figure out who'd be available for another mission, this time to the planet below.

Sanda nodded. "Aright hermana. Lead the way."

Yayoi nodded her head and began leading the way to the Armor bay.

ARMOR BAY

Cassie peeled the manufacturer stickers off a mint-condition Mindy M2-4 power armor that was as close to her size as she could find. Norita had literally pulled it from a crate in the ship's armory. It was sized for standard Nekovalkyrja but Cassie was a catgirl too, just a different variety. She pressed the controls to open it up and then began getting suited up for combat. "Nice to meet you, new AIES," she told the computer as its voice started reading out menu options in her helmet.

Yayoi entered the power armor bay, and immediately she spotted Cassie there, and nodded to her "new Armor?" she asked her and then glanced to the other bays. "how many are available?" she asked

Sanda did a quick visual scan. "Looks like our suits are still here and in working order." She let Yayoi know. "Me and you are fit to go. Cassie you good?"

"I'm always ready to serve the Star Army," Cassie nodded, giving a thumbs up. "It wouldn't be the Resurgence without random suicide missions and extreme danger."

Sanda smiled. "I know you are, just making sure after that last mission you were good." She pulled up her coms. "Zanven." She paused and through gritted teeth said, "Maximus, are you available to go on a mission?"

"Dude, what if Zanven's fighter is our extraction somehow? Eh...then again maybe just one of the newer shuttles with the side loading doors," Cassie pondered.

Yayoi went to her bay, and immediately she exchanged the weapons for something of a higher tier then the ones before. She didnt want to take chances this time. She wanted to make sure she could end the threat before it gets her or her comrades.

Thad was not super happy to be getting called on a mission. Though he might as well do something while he waits for his friend. It was not like he was able to do anything other than hold down the floor. "Sure Sanda, I shall meet with you shortly." He replied back over comms.

Cheilith armed herself for the mission.

Sanda cringed a bit as Thad called her by her first name. They were not on a first name bassis. She ignored it and got herself ready. Since this was a planetary Sanda was leaning more towards her beloved Daisy.

Yayoi stared silently as she pondered if the weapons she chose were the correct ones to use.

MEDICAL LAB

As Poppy worked on Delmira she began to give voice commands to the computer to recall Frank's DNA and body scan files, as well as his most recent mental backup image. She set the medical lab's hemosynth tube to start 3D printing a new body for him and readied the memory transfer unit to put his mind back into the new body when it was done. In about 20 minutes she was dragging Frank's nude body across the medlab to the transfer unit's table. "Shit, I should have had Thad stay for this," she growled under the weight. Meanwhile Delmira was now free of the suit and looking worlds better although covered in a patchwork of artificially printed replacement skin like a mild, cuter version of Frankenstein's monster. Once they were both done, Poppy woke them up right away.

Delmira groaned a bit. "Is my tail still attached doc?" She sat up a bit "Oh shit i forgot, Shosa Aoba needs to know but when i went for Frank with my electronics off the things ignored me."

"Yeah," Poppy said. "You're stoned on pain killers but you can move and even go on duty if you must," she told Delmira. "Don't overdo it," she laughed. She checked on Frank, grabbing a towel to hand him in case he wanted to cover his junk.

Frank would wake shortly taking the towel, "what happened, why am I in the medroom and naked?"

"Why do you think?" Poppy laughed. "Rise and shine, big boy," she told him.

"Right thanks Doc," Frank said sighing "Cassie's gonna kill me" he said aloud thinking he did something stupid to get himself killed. "I'm going to go get dressed and check up with her."

Delmira will get dressed and she will head out to hallway and see Thad. "The captain needs to know that when I got Frank I had all my electronics off and they ignored me, either I was lucky or they didn't care."

TR'POCKA SYSTEM - MACHINE WORLD SURFACE

Three Nepleslian mercenaries fired into the bushes from behind cover, trying to keep away the hostile robots. "LOW AMMO!" one of them shouted.

"Shit! It's been an honor captain."

BRIDGE

Cheilith was still trying to figuire out where she fit in the Star Army, so she was taking some shifts on the bridge.

"Do you want to get the STV ready in the cargo bay?" Aoba asked Cheilith? The plan is to extract the Nepleslians and get out as fast as possible," he told her. He turned to Gabriela, "Take us down into the planet's atmosphere, low enough to drop the STV off the cargo ramp. Skim the surface but don't touch anything. Head towards the Spark's escape pod."

"Aye captain," Gabriela nodded. The Resurgence looked epic as it came down out of the sky surrounded by orange flames, looking like it was going to hit the planet but then flying over the mechanical surface and into one of the habital zones.

"Aye, my armor is still intact." Cheilith said, moving towards the doors and to the armory.

Armor Bay

Frank made his way to the armor bay now that he was back in clothes. "Howdy everyone I'm alive again."

Delmira followed Frank. "Guys when I went for Frank I had my electronics off and either they ignored me or it didn't see me or I was just lucky."

Yayoi glanced at Frank, and gasped as she saw him then Delmira. She was surprised to hear what Delmira was saying. "good to know" she said.

Cheilith went to her armor, and slid into the warm embrace. She did a quick check to make sure the weapons were ready to rock and fourished her massive sword.

"Infantry team, please proceed to the cargo bay," Kinie announced over the intercom system.

Frank walks over and attempts to give Cassie a headpat, "Sorry if I might have worried you."

"do we have another suit for me or even better a M-19 Ryoko i can use." Delmira asked looking around.

"Are you saying that we should leave our PA on the ship?" Sanda asked. It made a kind of sense.

"Fuck no," Cassie said. "Armor up. See you in the cargo bay," she said.

"I got vetoed it seems" Delmira said. "I don't think so but you have had ranger training."

Yayoi thought Delmira was right, Rangers didnt really use armor too much. "we'll have to be careful about our armor then, strategic" She said before

Sanda snorted, she'd have taken her chances without armor but Cassie had given the order to armor up. She quickly jumped into her Daisy suit with her usual loadout.

Yayoi jumped into her own Daisy with her new enhanced loadout before heading off to the Cargo Bay"

CARGO BAY

Sakuko hit the cargo bay door controls, and the ramp slowly came down with a loud hydraulic growl, revealing the ground speeding by below the ship. It looked very close.

Cheilith looked out, "Let's do this!" She said.

As the ship arrived near the site of the escape pod, Cassie spotted numerous robots closing in on a small group of what looked like Nepleslian marines who were pinned down. Cassie grabbed a length of cargo strapping from the cargo bay wall and clipped one end to a deck hardpoint and the other to her armor's butt pack, making her way down to the end of the ramp with a plasma rifle in her arms. Once she got there, she laid on the end of the ramp and started shooting at the robots as the ship began to circle around.

Cheilith took the opportunity of them suddenly ducking behind cover to jump out of the ship, landing in their midst in a three point pose. She started her own battle music as she launched herself at the swarm of robots.

Frank walked down the ramp both shoulders of his Mindy loaded with mini missile pods. "heavy support Frank the tank reporting for duty." Frank said over the comms.

Sanda looked down the open ramp at the ground below. She studied the layout quickly then signled Yayoi. "Blade! I see survivors down there. Hop in one those STV's and lets go get them while the rest lay down covering fire!"

Delmira looked at Sanda. "I'm going to be to big so i wil cover you guys from range and then fly out of there."

Yi nodded her head "got it" she said and hurried to the STV activated it and rolled out of there like Rambo, making her way over to where the Nepleslians were.

TR'POCKA SYSTEM - MACHINE WORLD SURFACE

"Holy shit, it's the STAR ARMY!" one of the Nepleslians shouted, pointing at the gunship circling them overhead. Sprays of energy bolts poured out of the ship from the anti-fighter turrets on the ship's underside, creating a dazzling display of firepower.

"We're not out of here yet, keep fighting!" another said. "Last mag!" He kept shooting at the swarm of robots.

Sanda hopped in the STV and quickly plugged into the vehicles radio. She began blasting music as loud as it would go. "ALL ABOARD! HAHAHA!" and gunned the engine. The STV shot out the open ramp, fell to the ground then started charging towards the Nepleslians.

Yayoi moved into one of the gunner spots and watched as the ship gunned down the robot aliens.

Cheilith moved swiftly from robot to robot, her giant sword cutting them down with ruthless efficiency. She teleported around every few seconds, swiftly and smoothing causing chaos wherever she went.

Spotting the monster truck, the Nepleslians instantly knew this was their ride. "GO! GO! GO!" the Nepleslian captain shouted. He and his two surviving men scrambled for the back of the STV and climbed up onto it as soon as they could.

Frank would walk over to the bottom of the ramp. "After this Cassie I wouldn't mind having a discussion with you." Frank looked forward towards the robots taking up a fighters stance frank began letting off 10 or so mini missles guiding them to the various robots pinning people down watching as the explosions go off.

Delmira would fire her howitzer off into the distance obliterating something in the distance. "Yeah im keeping this." she fired her particle rifle laying down cover fire for the STV's

"Welcome aboard the Crazy Train!" Sanda yelled as her passengers climbed in. "Man that gun and hold on!" Sanda gunned it as the back towards the ship.

Yayoi actually grinned under the helmet as she watched for the robots from the guns.

"Thunder to Resurgence! We got our passengers! We need you to get a little lower so we can get back on." Sanda shouted into her com over the blasting gun and music.

Frank would provide cover with overwhelming missile barrages on the enemy robots "I almost feel bad for them if this wasn't so cool. Tax payers money at its best right?"

Just then, Zanven's huge fighter swooped in low and lowered a set of hooks to attach to the STV's large airlift points on the front and back of the vehicle.

"That works too." Sanda laughed. She felt like a maniac. She hadn't felt this way since before Giretsu training. It felt good to go a little crazy. She felt like a Nep.

Delmira let loose a volley of over 100 hundred missiles into the horde of monsters and her howitzer fired again. She would fly up into the air with her thrusters when Zan's fighter was ready to go. She would land directly into the hanger of the Resurgence.

The Resurgence soared up into the air again, rapidly moving away from the ground, with Zanven's fighter following behind carrying the STV below. When they were in a safer place higher in the sky, Zanven moved the STV above the gunship close enough that everyone on it would be able to jump into an open hatch on the ship's top side. The entrance took them into the ship's observation dome area.

Sanda killed the music and jumped back into the Resurgence. She removed her helmet and smiled at the three Nepleslian survivors. "Itto Hei Hoshi, Star Army Rangers. You guys okay?"

"I don't think I could have dreamed of a better birthday present," the Nepleslian captain said.

Sanda smiled and bowed with a flourish.

The M19 folded into a more compact form and folded over to open up and Delmira got out. "This is mine now."

Once everyone was back on the ship, Zanven released the STV to tumble down to the surface, as a measure to avoid possible contamination. It pancaked.

When the mission was over Delmira went to her room and was thankful she shared it with no one else. The neko made a nest in the neko nest that was in the middle of the room and collapsed laying on her stomach after removing her shirt. She enjoyed the cool air on her back and lounged lazily closing her eyes and giveing a soft purr as she drifted off to sleep.
