RP: Bloody Claws Second Period - A Trip through Adversity

Cy'jiro was expecting retaliation, but taking on a laibe with a sword was not going to be easy by any means, even if he was skilled with it. He did have one advantage however. He kept his body low, and kept all four feet on the ground as best he could, keeping his center of gravity low to keep from getting pushed back. In fact after holding a moment he began to push forward. He might not have been a passing swordsman, but he could make up for his lack of talent with the knowledge he had from his diligent studies.

Rachel ears twitched at the sound behind her of creaking wood, With no time to turn around, she dropped low and did a backwards somersault to see who it was as she kicked out her feet at the person low to knock them off balance, aiming for the shins.

The Laibe grunted at the fact he was being pushed back, a prospect that was unbecoming for a Laibe given they were taller and - supposedly - stronger. The student dog their feet into the floor, positioning them to help slow their movement, and then began to push hard against Cy'jiro's sword, all the while another person appeared behind him and took aim toward Kit'suki, using Cy'hiro as a kind of 'shield' to possibly prevent them from firing back before pulling the trigger. Cy'hiro would feel something hot pass a few inches above his head - not aimed at him of course.

Aka' dove away from the shot, and hid behind a discarded crate before she returned fire, avoiding Cy'jiro and hitting the doorframe above.

-Rachel-

There was a loud 'whomp' as the person she kicked hit the floor on their back - hard - followed by a subtle curse as they laid their dazed. It was the student council VP, the person hadn't at all expected Rachel to be there, let alone, hear them coming.

"You're dead," Ra'chel spoke softly, aiming her weapon at the student council VIP at point blank range, yet out of the VIP's reach with any limb or tail. Quickly making sure the weapon was set on stun, she fired into the chest area of the Student council. Giving him the 'kill' shot that couldn't be denied by anyone. "Sorry," She stripped the student of his/her weapons. Not even his/her lucky pocket knife was left behind. "I played on the streets of my hometown." Then scampered out of the room, silently moving with practiced ease to go find Bu'lla, her erstwhile teammate and class clown.

Kit'suki was suprised how well the ther was handling himself right now but with luck they should be able to dispatch him like this. They were flanking him and both in melee with the student. If the other was going to strok at him it was fine. He waould focus on his gaurd trying to block and parry with any blows that mght come his way. If the attention were to stay on him, then surly Cy'jiro would have prime opertuinty to take the student from behind and Vice Versa for him.

Should he find himself once more attacking from behind his cuts will be low aiming for the legs to take them out. It would require attention to avoid and with attention taking from the frount his fellow student just might get the blow he needed. This was his Stradagy in the fight. Defend when attack, aim for foundation if the heat was moved to his comrad

Barn

Cy'jiro was putting his all into pushing back, but his poor physical ability was starting to show. The sudden sound of a gun going off near by and the bullet whizzing past his body startled him though and while the Laibe was pushing Cy'jiro suddenly jumped back pretty far on reflex. He just wanted to clear himself from the sudden surprise attack as quickly as possible.

Ra'chel

The VP grumbled as they laid there, sprawled out onto the floor, with their HUD flashing the words: "You are dead!"

Sword Fight!

Cy'jiro's sudden back jump caught the other Laibe off guard, causing them to miss their strike but quickly recovered and took up a defensive position while the other council member crouched near the doorway and took aim at Cy'jiro and fired once.

Vin'cent recoiled and hid behind the cover he had used in the street, rubbing his face as he continued to mentally remind himself of the circumstances he found himself in. "Stop panicking. It's just a sim, you're not really hurting anyone... Oh, who am I kidding, it's precisely that kind of sim!" His (un)inspirational pep talk was interrupted when he heard sporadic gunfire and the sounds of a melee fight nearby. "Okay, you can do this. Just aim and shoot, fire in bursts, aim for the upper body. Simple." He stood up and pushed himself towards the building the sounds of fighting seemed to be originating from, rifle stock pressed firmly against his shoulder. "It sounds like the enemy is committed to the fight up ahead... So, perhaps they can't react to someone flanking around." With that thought, Vin'cent opted to flank around the building, looking for an entrance on the side or opposite from the entrance Aka and Kitsuki used to enter the building, ready to fire into any hostiles he encountered.

Ra'chel moved through the building quickly to the lower floors to see if she could find Bu'lla and maybe join up with the rest of her classmates. She had the first confirmed 'kill' of the encounter between her class and the Student Council. She gave a soft "yip" and refocused herself after a moments of elation of surviving.

Kit'suki had hopped to use the moment that the counclemember was offgaurd to strike hoping to at the very least disable him even if not take him out. Right now he had the fact that the sword fight made it hard for the second enemy in the building to shoot withouthitting the other. He tried to let his foot work heel him from being in a clear shot hoping someone would rush in and help him before it was a full out two on one. He had wished Cy'jiro hadn't suddenly lept away as he had as they originally had a huge ad vantage and now he was left with the two alone as he at lest tried to move away from the second council man during the fight, hoping Aka or Cy'jiro would hurry to his aid

Bu'lla easily snuck closer and notched an arrow into his energy bow, once he was close enough he listened for a few seconds to try and guess how far away the voices were from the door and how many of them. Then, with a powerful force he went major league door-kicking, raising his bow at the occupants of the room.

"SURPRISE FUR BAGS!" He shouted as he kicked the door in, hoping to scare them with just a little more intimidation.

Yep, from the sounds of it. Bu'lla had done perfect in giving away his location. She chose a more stealthy route of approach to catch any stragglers of the opposition coming to join in the fight that was making a ruckus to wake the dead and draw attention of everyone. Non-combants reacted like they would always do... get away from the violence. Those looking for a fight would be drawn to the action.

Ra'chel moved in a circular route around the peripheral of the building that the fight was in, to catch the opposing team members unaware and take them out one at a time.

She smiled as this brought back fond memories of her more youthful nature running with the school gang she belonged to when she had time for herself to get out of the house.

Kit'suki, Cy'jiro, Aka'

The shot from the other team impacted Cy'jiro on the shoulder, disabling his left arm and rendering it incompacitated for the rest of the fight. From her location, Aka' leaned out and fired two shots, one hitting the door and casting wooden splinters everywhere while the other knocked the one who had fired at Cy'jiro flat on their ass, knocking them out temporarily but rendering the fight a three on one; with her team being the ones with the three!

Ra'chel

Going around to the otherside proved both a good idea, and also a bad idea, the good thing about was that she could see weapons fire coming out of a doorway and someone standing near it - a bad idea though because it was crowded with non-combatants whom hadn't run from the fight but instead were just standing there in 'awe'.

Bu'lla

Bu'lla's attempt at intimidation had worked, one of the councilmen who had been in the back of the other two to cover the rear was indeed caught off guard, dropping their rifle in surprise but quickly switching to their side-arm and taking aim.

However, before anything more could be done, there was a loud 'beep' and the innercom came online. "Match Time Expired!" the announcer shouted, causing Aka' to look at her watch - she hadn't even realized how much time had actually passed and assumed that it had only been half an hour but in reality they'd expended the entire time; the Kit sighed heavily and stood up from behind her cover. "Darn," she said and looked at the roster to see who was still left and whom had been knocked out.

It wasn't exactly something she wanted to see, out of thirty of their classmates, twenty eight had been knocked out in the match - and this against a group of only eight students. The girl rubbed the back of her head and noted that a lot of those who had been knocked out ran alone or choose to go to the outside of the city. With the match over, the map now showed the positions of the student council; including the red X showing the one that Ra'chel had taken out, seven of their members were still left; two of which were just on the outskirts of the town while four were in the town, which of which were in the building they were in right now while another had been on the opposite side of the building vs where Ra'chel was, which meant this person was probably trying to do the same thing that Ra'chel had been.

When the buzzer sounded and everything froze. Ra'chel knew she was the only one with a confirmed 'kill' of her class. Her eyes sparkled with delight as she kept her expression neutral as she viewed the holographic display of where everyone was at and their status according to the computers that ran the scenario.

She sighed as the more militaristic side of her upbringing had shone forth. Even with the competition with her joint sister Kata, she had won a few rounds against Kata. But more often than not, she would lose to Kata'nova's superior skill and training, where she focused more on technology.

Kit'suki had kept up his sword fight with the other classman. He continued to try and find any opening he could with the situation still one on one. But when one of the other's hand been knocked down he thought this would be the chance. Hopefully Aka or Cy'jiro would help flanks this guy. He thought he saw and opening and moved to take advantage but before he could swing his blade the match came to an end. He gave a soft pant as his heart was still pounding his body still hyped on the adrenalin. He Sheathed his swird and gave a polite bow to his opponet and then headed to find Aka. "How did we do?" hr asked as they had been busy with this group the whole time

Kit'suki, Cy'jiro, Aka'

Cy'jiro took a hit to his left forepaw and fell over from loss of balance. He wasn't considered eliminated, but he had to take a moment to bring himself up. Without his left forepaw he was a bit off balance but there was still one opponent left. Or at least there was before the timer had rung. With the match having reached it's end he groaned, able to use his leg but still a little sore from the hit. He limped over to Aka and sighed. "I get the feeling we did not get the results that were expected of us."

Bu'lla stared at the councilman who had dropped his weapon, his bow still notched and taut. His eyes glanced outside and then he loosed the energy arrow at the unfortunate student council kit.

"Whoops, I let go." He blatantly lied before spinning in place and leaving without further ceremony.

A mighty whooping was coming for the badly timed referee of this match-up. One of large proportions.

Vin'cent came to a stop just in sight of a member of the opposing team, though the match ended before he could follow up. The kit tipped the hat he had donned at the beginning of the match, before looking at the roster in curiosity. "We got completely annihilated. Not surprising, honestly. We knew it would be a tough fight and most of us didn't really want one in the first place." Regardless, the medical student decided that it would be best to meet up with the closest class-mates, who happened to be Aka' and the rest of her group. He rubbed his neck as he silently entered the building, looking as miserable as he felt.

Cicero watched them with interest from the side lines. Making a mental note of all there skills and weakness if it was shown. When it was over he was allowed to lay down as he waited for them all to group up, so he was laying down peacefully as he wait.

"Bastard," said the councilman who had been shot by Bu'lla, the man stood up and removed the holographic arrow from his armor and tossed it aside - when it hit the ground it shattered into dozens of pixels.

Aka' turned toward Kit'suki. "We lost almost half the class in this skirmish, against only five? six people? I'd say we didn't do very good," although Aka' knew that the vast majority of her classmates were very new to this stuff and had never taken part, with that thought in mind she said. "All things considered, I guess we did decently well, we did make till the buzzer," she smiled weakly and looked toward the door where she saw Vin'cent walk in.

"All contestants please head to the centre of town, repeat, all contestants to the centre of town," an announcer spoke through the rooms innercomm.

Aka' cocked her head to one head, motioning toward the door. She wasn't entirely sure what was about to happen next - but knew what she was going to do when they back to the class-house.
