RP: Bloody Claws Second Period - A Trip through Adversity

Kit'suki began to scan the area of the downed tree. He was skeptical that there was a random Program for trees to fall but then again this was using holograms. "Aka, do you want someone to check out what caused that noise? If their preparing somthing it mihgt not be a good idea to just let them finish it"

Aka' was about to respond to Kit'suki when another noise got her attention; the sound of running footsteps from somewhere nearby. "Check it," she said to Kit'suki as she pressed herself further against the wall and readied her weapon, whatever the sound was - it was getting closer to the team.

In the hosue that Bu'lla and Ra'chel were in, a silenced shot punched into the wall - grazing Bu'lla's shoulder by a mere fraction of an inch.

Observation Lounge

Meanwhile, a group of military officials watched the skirmish; they were all sitting in chairs and had drinks in their hands. The group watched with curious eyes that stared toward a map that showed the entire battlefield and the locations of all of the participants.

Kit'suki nodded as he tried to pinpoint the source of the running as he moved to check out where the noises were coming from or what was making them for that matter. He tried sticking to cover as best he could or sticking low to the crops of the farmland where able to trying to use his display to locate the areas the running noises were coming from and if it was coming to the group or his relative area he would try to make some sort of ambush if he could remain hidden

Ra'chel heard the shot punching through the wall. She fired back just off-centered to where the shot came from. She moved quickly to another location and peeked out the window to see what the commotion was all about and who shot at Bu'lla.

Cy'jiro tensed at the sound of footsteps and readied his own weapons. He had never really engaged someone in combat before. He went through the basic sword training he was expected to do as a child, but never anything more than practicing forms with a partner, he wasn't sure if his attacks would land, but that was what this training was for so he was going to give it a try.

Vin'cent's breathing visibly heightened as he nearly began hyperventilating at the sounds of combat nearby, though he quickly regained control of himself. He pressed his rifle against his shoulder as he quickly moved to support Kit'suki from a distance. He kept a respectable distance away from the other student, trying to stick to cover whenever he could. In the event of contact, the nobleman was hoping that he would be able to prevent an opponent from attacking Kit'suki from the rear or produce a higher display of firepower.

Bu'lla looked down at the noise in the wall, and to the window, back to the hole, and to the window. And then he dived for cover and crawled his way to the stairs.

"So we got a wisecrack here, eh." Bu'lla said angrily as he crawled. "Alright, keep him occupied here. I'm going to go take care of him."

With a heave Bu'lla ran up the stairs, up up up, until he reached the roof, leaving a rock in the door so he could get back in if need be. He peered over the parapet stealthily, furrowed brow black eyes and creamy snout peeking over the brickwork, looking around to make sure no one else had had his bright idea as well. And for any powerlines or street signs he could tightrope across to the other side of the street above the crowds.

Ra'chel just flicked her tail in acknowledgement to Bu'lla, but he was already gone. She could hear his soft foot falls fade as he climbed higher. She moved to a new window and looked over the crowds below across to the building on the other side of the street.

Kit'suki/Cy'jiro/Vincent

The sound of the steps stopped suddenly, this was followed by a shuffling noise; a moment passed before a door - something that hadn't been obvious due to how flush it was against the wall - opened suddenly in front of Kit'suki, the business end of a rifle poked out into the clearing.

Ra'chel/Bu'lla

The weapons fire stopped, at least briefly, until the wood right beside Ra'chel splintered from weapons fire - diespite the splinters being nothing more than holographic illusions her suit still registered a light injury to the right side of her face. From above, Bu'lla would notice that whomever had fired, had done so from across the stone clearing - crowds of people ran in all directions.

Farm

Hearing the sound of the door opening Cy'jiro very carefully poked his head out to assess the situation. Of course is necessary he moved himself around the cover to keep the cover between him and whatever it was. "They must know this map really well." He whispered over the radio as he prepared his rifle.

City

Ra'chel yipped softly at the simulated injury as she rolled under the window to the other side. Coming up , prepping to her weapon. She radioed the rest of the class. "The building to the left of where me and Bu'lla entered. At least one, possibly more are entrenched."

Once she was set, she returned fire. One shot to each side of the window directly across from her.

Vin'cent's eyes widened as his vision zeroed in on the open door and the rifle barrel that was now sticking out of it. Without thinking, the kit began spraying in five to eight round intervals, not quite hoping to hit something as much as to simply coerce the other party to simply go away, as he was currently informing them. "Just go away, I do not wish to injure you!" He shouted, even as bullets left the muzzle of his own rifle. Upon hearing the click that signalled the end of the magazine's usefulness, the young noble leaned back into cover and fumbled around with his new mag, trying rather ineffectively to reload.

Kit'suki watched as his heart pounding in his chest as he saw the barrle of the rifle sticking out og the door. For a breif moment all of time had stopped and he swore he could hear his own heart beating. But nothing had happened. Who ever it was hadn't seen him at all luckily as he stayed low and then slowly drew his sword at the ready. He would have to bequick on this. All he needed to do was take the person by suprise and hopfully rush them and put his sword into them. Ofcourse it was all simulated but it woulsd registar as a kill for them. He didn't know how many werre in therre so he would have to think on the fly if this worked. He readied himself at last took one deep breath to ready himself.

Sadly his plan would be completely torn apart by Vin'cent spraying fire at the doorway. This would normally have been fine and a perfect cover but with all likely hood Vin'cent had succeed in missing the target all together. He even screamed out trying to scare them off. He didn't know if Vin'cent was insane or what but now the enemy would be more alert if Kit'suki didn't act now. He drew his pistol now with his free hand and tried to fire into the door way. Unlike Vin'cent he severely hoped he was hitting something. But he also used it as a means of allowing himself to move to cover as well now that his plan had been altogether crumbled for stealth. He would try to move to Vincent's current location if he could if not he would take cover wherever he could fined it getting on the comms again. "A-Aka.. We've got hostels here I'm not sure how many but Vinc'ent and my self have engaged them." he said hoping that Vincent's outburst hadn't given them away too much before the rest of the enemies merged on to them

Ra'chel/Bu'lla

The splintering of wood caused whomever it was that had taken a shot at Ra'chel to stop, whomever it was moved away from the window. For a few moments it was quiet, the only sound that could be heard was the light pattering of rain again the house's roof and eves, then the crack of door could be heard; but it wasn't across the street or outside - it was 'inside' of the building this time.

Kit'suki/Cy'jiro/Vincent/Aka'

"Shit!" someone shoutted as the weapons fire from Vincent caused the wood to shatter and break apart, a number of rounds ended up hitting the door and splintering it as well - luckily as it was in the way, the only injury Kit'suki suffered was a grazing on his left shoulder and a light wound on his lower left leg caused by a chunk of the door coming off. The person whom had been opening the door quickly ran away, although this was followed a second later by a loud 'thud' and someone shouting 'ouch!'.

Aka ran up behind Kit'suki and knelt down beside him, then glanced toward Vincent. "Stop firing," she radio'd to him and looked at the door - it was a mess. "Let's go," she motioned for them to enter the building with her.

Thankfully Kituski managed to get into cover ust as soon as Aka got up to him. They were not currently getting any return fire so he didn't know if that meant the enemy was hiding or had been taken out of the fight. He nodded as Akasignled to fallow her in. He switched back to his sword more comfortable with it than with fire arms. He gave her a nod when he was ready to nter. steeling himself up incase he needed to charge the enemy with his balde. Hopfully they had the enemy out manned and could over whelm him or them.

Bu'lla nodded to himself, stepping back from the ledge and giving himself some running space. With a few quick breaths he did a sprint start, pounding across the roof and leaping over the edge. He threw his whole body into the jump, flying like a hurtling furry meteor, over the crowds, above the street, through the air.

He smacked straight into the holographic window. The holographic window was hard...

Bu'lla "lay" spread-eagle'd against the third story window, he loud out a groan as he twitched.

"Windows shouldn't work like that..." he complained.

However the movement of his cheeks broke the surface tension between his body and the window, and slowly from the face down he started peeling off it. Bu'lla looked down at the street and back at the window, mouth twisted in disgust at this second betrayal.

And then he fell.

Pumping his legs against the building next to him he leaped back towards his original building and reached out with a paw, catching a ledge just in time and swinging in through an open door back into the building, foot paws passing inches from the pavement (actually it was more like a couple of feet due to his height). Swinging up and around into the ground floor.

Farm

Cy'jiro rushed in with Aka' drawing his sword since it would prove more useful than a rifle in the confined space. Once inside he quickly looked around for whoever it was in there and closed the distance as swiftly as he could, trying to put the blade to their neck and hold them down to force surrender. This was a simulator, so they wouldn't hesitate to take someone down with them, so he didn't want to risk they would surrender just by encircling them.

Ra'chel gasped as she saw Bu'lla fall. She broke cover and poked her head out the window to see Bu'lla disappear into the building, a feat of acrobatics that wowed her speechless and forgetting she was in combat. He was plain amazing.

Bu'lla

The inside of the room that Bu'lla landed in was devoid of any life, although it was obvious someone had been in there not even a minute earlier - there was a broken chair on the ground and foot prints in the saw dust that showed that whoever was there had freaked out and ran. There was noise on the far side of the noise, the shuffling of feet and words being spoken, it was beyond a closed door.

Cy'jiro

There was a loud 'clang' as Cy'jiro's blade was meet by another, the flash of steel against steel and teh cascading torrent of light reflecting off the blades as they came together. The person there stared Cy'jiro in the eyes, it was the council treasurer and now they were pressing their defense, pushing the sword hard against Cy'jiro.

Ra'chel, Kitsuki, Aka'

The roadway below was now quiet, Ra'chel couldn't hear anything more than the chirping of a distant bird and the sound of two cats fighting in a nearby alley. Although, if she was paying attention enough, she'd probably hear the creaking of wood from behind her....

When Aka' saw Cy'jiro rush into the building, she broke from her cover and gestuted for Kit'suki to back her up. She rushed in and was there just in time to see the two swords come together, but with no means to get a shot off, the Kit made her way over to a cabinet to take cover just in case anyone else came in.

Kit'suki saw the flash of swords as well as he fallowed Aka in as back up. He was trying to keep himself calm knowing Aka needed him to be as focused and alert as he possibly could. He saw Aka taking cover, she didn't have her sword out she was ready to cover at a range. He however, did have out his sword out and would press a two man advantage with the current engagement moving to flank the Council member. He would attck for an opening in the side if he could, and even if the other was going to try and focus on him, then Cy'jiro would have an opening as well He figured the oppent only had the options of surrender or "Death" in this situation. Still that was no reason not to be weary. He was aware the other could try and take one of them out first to lower their teams numbers as well.
