I like this a lot, I'm just mulling over whether I want to give a new color to the Star Army Uniforms (I've been trying to reduce the number of colors lol).

I think making it a Medical MOS would be a good way to file it down. That or you can do the ol' patch or pin method if you still want a way to distinguish between a regular medic and a mental health professional at sight. It works well enough in the MOS' I've made

Like, rather than the standard medical shoulder patch you could have a slightly different one :)

I’m ready, willing, and able to change the article once we decide. I have no strong feelings. I’m pretty sure Thia will look good in the uniform no matter what color the panel is.

I think it needs to be distinct from Medical. Troi didn't wear what Crusher did.

I think we need some more like internal distinctions with medical officers anyway
You can feel free to take inspiration from how I did internal distinctions in SARA, SAMP and SASO if you'd like. Having just two makes things a lot easier though so there's probably a easy solution somewhere between pins/patches and panels - if Yuuki thinks a different panel colour is needed after all that's valid too.

It's very hard to decide whether it's about medical care (teal) or care for soldiers (pink). But caretakers are kind of like space maids or butlers or shopkeepers or groundskeepers or laundry people. They help mental health with their services but they're not necessarily actual mental health people.

A good real life example is @Deleted User who counsels people in bad situations in real life for the Red Cross - and the current Star Army Star Army medical logo is a nod to the Red Crystal that is a non-religious alternate symbol of Red Cross/Red Crescent.

Based on the above, I'm going to go with medical teal.

that's not fair that stupid captain made her wear it lol

I don't remember which season the mean captain is from!

The mean captain that came in when Picard was doing secret ops with best boi Worf and Crusher coincided with her taking command of the ship and feeling unprepared for it. Because of those feelings, she took the officer's test and wore the uniform the mean interim Enterprise captain had ordered her to wear only after becoming a bridge capable officer... Many things were lost but you could see her life path a little more clearly once she put on the official uniform, I think. Sitting next to Commander Ryker as his number one in Lower Decks, you see the years of professionalism have done that part of her very well. Medical. (Edit: Sometimes you have to spell Riker's name wrong to remind him he's not best boi. And by Troi being number one I don't mean XO, I mean number one lady)
