Haruto elected to take advantage of Ryoko's situation and add insult to injury, giving her a quick flick on the ear. "Thenk you so mach for elaborating my question for me," he said, crossly. "I think we have all been inlightened by your listing of what we all had in mind when I asked." He turned and bowed to Akina. "I apologise for the display of petulance, Teisho, but I felt it necessary."

The aide perked up at the Taisho's call for her. "Hai Shimizu-Taisho," Honoka answered happily, her mind already reaching out to start thinking up an appropriate letter to request what the Taisho wanted. Better sooner than later.

"Hmm, Shimizu-Taisho, it's only the red color, right? That's all you want customized?" she asked just to double check, before Honoka took another bite of food, still slightly distracted by the craziness of the group.

Faye blushed lightly, looking into her drink. Oh... it's nothing Akina.. We'd better get that replacement soon... to keep my end of the bargain. The Neko tried to gulp a lump in her throat down, but it seemed to stay there for some reason. Swishing her lemonade a bit, she quietly sipped some more.

Don't worry so much, Faye-san. Akina thought back, distracted by the antics of her staff. She started to laugh, politely at first then a bit louder when Ryoko slammed her head into the table let alone her bodyguard taking swats at her on top of it were a bit much.

I think I outdid myself this time, Faye-san. The Taisho added when she had calmed her laughter. "Red with the Shimizu clan mon stamped on one of the forearms. We can make the rest of the modifications here, Hakumei-juni." Wiping at the edge of her eye, still feeling amused the woman simply changed the projection behind her back to that of the nebula.

"It's fine, Haruto-hei. Remember to be as proactive about your other duties. The tourney will be to commemorate the new colony we'll be building here. Consequently each of you will be offered a home, or share one with another person on the staff near the Shimizu Clan estate. I might hold a design contest for the house itself. That is my thinking right now. The primary tool in the tourney will be power armours, and SASI will sponsor prizes and manage other donations. I've decided I want to participate as a team. There will be one atmospheric battle or two but primarily we'll be doing no gravity unless it's an indoor event at the colony, like a duel. We'll be in team events, but I'll get into more of that when the colony has begun being built. We still have a lot of work to do."

"It is, though something to be thinking about." With that, Akina went back to eating and waited for more questions.

Gently rubbing her forehead, Ryoko poked her tongue out at the Helashio. The Taisho had not chewed her out for inappropriate behaviour; neither had she expressly ordered the young neko not to set up any kind of gambling system, in fact, by not ordering against it, she had given tacit approval.

The Taisho's next words caught her by surprise. They were building a colony out here? She would be offered a home, or share one? Sharing could be fun, depending on the other staff member. The chance to design the Taisho's home - that could be fun... She hadn't even realised that the Taisho was from a clan. Ryoko made a mental note to start some research before she went to sleep.

She understood the end of the Taisho's explanation perfectly, namely because it echoed something she had heard a couple of times back in training. The whole principle of 'fun comes after work' was something she still struggled to believe in although she had gotten remarkably good at doing a good impression. Might as well find out how bad the situation was...

"Pardon my ignorance, Taisho-sama, but how much work do we actually have to do?"

"Ah, hai hai Taisho." Honoka immediately went back to her work in her head, trying to finish up the letter. She tried to ignore the fun of the surrounding stuff for at least a little while so that she could do a good job on the request form, but was failing rather horribly as she kept stopping mid-sentence in her mind.

Besides the others, there was also the excitement of doing the tournament distracting her. It'd been so long since Honoka had been in a power armor, but she was going to make sure she was, if she had any choice in the matter.

Akina nodded to the operations specialist when she set her chopsticks down. She had finished her food already, and stopped to sip from her tea when she explained. "A lot. I hope you didn't think this was going to be an easy assignment. There are crews counting on this flag. Tomorrow, when our guests are aboard Spirit City we're leaving E2. Irim don't just disappear." The Taisho set her tea down, and waved off the sprite when she approached to refill the cup. "I think it's time I went to my quarters, any of you are welcome to join me for drinks if you don't have other plans for tonight..." She let her words hang, then pushed her chair back and slowly stood up.

"If you haven't had a backup recently I want it done before you all report in tomorrow, your duty station assignments will be waiting in the morning."

Looking up from her list, Setsuko eyed Akina curiously for a moment while she polished off the last of her rice, and eyed the food the Taisho had eaten, just to make sure that the pregnant woman had eaten enough and propperly.

"I can't, Shimizu-Taisho. I've gotta do medical check-ups on Haru-Haru and Ryo-Ko-Ko, and do the Soul backups. Faye-Faye is dismissed, since she was just transferred into the NH-27." The black-haired medical officer explained as she shooed off the sprite that came to take away the CO's dirty dishes while the half-mad scientist gathered them for herself. All the food traces on the bowls, glasses, and chop-sticks would be scrutinized and examined back at the medical centre to make sure everything was 200% healthy for the Taisho and her children.

Having been halfway towards jumping at the Taisho's offer of drinks in her quarters, Ryoko slammed her mouth shut and frowned for a few seconds. No, Setsuko-chan was right... There were specific regulations covering medical examinations upon transfers. She wasn't sure that she wanted a backup of her made. What would happen if it was mistakenly used before she died? Then there would be another of her running around and Ryoko just did not need the competition.

Still, orders were orders. There would probably be other opportunities to explore the Taisho's quarters and at least this way she could take some time to learn more about her situation after the doctor was finished with her...

"Deepest apologies, Taisho-sama, but I must go with Setsuko-chan, so I shall have to pass on your kind offer of hospitality."

I will try not to, Akina-sama, Faye replied with a silent nod. She smiled before continuing, Yes, I think you have.. quite a bit so, I believe. The aide watched Ryoko and Setsuko get up to leave silently waving to both of them. What else was there to do at such a time?

Haruto continued finishing off his mean for a few moments until he realised he was being referred to. "Haru-Haru?" he asked, looking a bit bewildered. He hastily ate the rest of his meal and downed his tea, then bowed to Akina. "If you will please pardon me, Teisho," he said. "I imagine is better to deal with this now than later."

Honoka finished up her meal along with the others, still content with just listening. She had mentally sent the request, and was rather surprised that she got a reply back so quickly. Apparently it was approved.

Shimizu-Taisho! The request was sent in and it was accepted! the aide sent telepathically with a hyper tone behind it, before forwarding the information to the Taisho. Apparently the alcohol was affecting her a bit. Honoka smiled happily since she didn't goof that up somehow.

I was intending to have them complete those come morning, but I'll not embarrass them until the second day on their decorum and conduct. Come on, Faye-san. The Taisho informed her personal aide of that matter, then smiled at Konoka. "Good work, they're moving fast for me aren't they? My stomach won't fit in the thing anyway right now."

"Good evening, everyone." Akina dismissed the staff casually, walking for the door with her aides and into the corridor outside on their way to a lift. "I think that went very well, antics aside. Remind me to always feed Hakumei-Juni here liquor when we're having a difficult spot diplomatically, all right?" Amusement piqued in the woman's tone while she walked slowly through the ship.

"See you later, Shimizu-Taisho!" The doctor called as the CO and the two aides left the dining room for the officer's private quarters while she finished off her own lemonade and turned her gaze towards the two unlucky new crewmembers who, as fate would have it, had an appointment with the mad scientist in the medical bay!

"Come, come, Haru-Haru, Ryo-ko-ko!" Setsuko said eagerly as she grasped Ryoko by the furry ear, and Haruto on the tail and firmly pulled and tugged on both as the very short and runty NH-29 attempted to forcibly bring her two newest "test subjects" towards the lab/medical bay.

Oh and Mishima-hei...no removing or dissecting his tail. Akina thought to her after she was already out of sight.

The massive command vessel was fairly quiet, in comparison to the bustle that accompanied shift change being over for the primary crew. The other shift was on duty, and the Nadare was under the watchful eye of spirit city as well as the portions of the 4th Fleet that was not on assignment to patrol the large cluster of systems that made up the Bard Cluster and beyond.

The fleet waited until the top of the hour, and began moving into formation for the memorial that would take place the next morning. Someone had beat Akina to her quarters, and had stocked the small bar on the main entertaining level of the five deck tall living area, and set her violin case open for the instrument to breathe in it's temporary home.

Faye nodded silently before walking with Akina. A few thoughts ran through the Neko's mind, but none of them really stayed. She noted that a sprite came along after they left to pick up the aide's mostly finished drink. A slight smile crept onto Faye's lips as she kept pace with the pregnant Taisho.

"Hmmm? What do you mean feed me liquor??" Honoka asked, pouting and lightly nudging Akina. Quite obviously, even with the semi-small amount of the poison in her system, she was losing a bit of her manners, among other things.

With a slight spring in her step, Honoka followed after the Taisho.

Having turned to watch the Taisho leave with her two quiet aides, Ryoko was thoroughly unprepared for the undeserved assault upon her already abused ear.

In sheer surprise, she allowed herself to be pulled several paces by the diminuitive medical attaché. Catching herself before she could rip her ear out of the other Nekovalkyrja's grasp, Ryoko focused her mind on her inertia field and lifted herself a couple of inches off of the deck and matched her forward speed to that of Setsuko.

Owww, Setsuko-ko, that hurt! she telepathically grumbled at her abuser.

Haruto was not so subtle. "Grargh!" he cried as his tail was grabbed, following along and desperately lashing it out of Setsuko's hand. "That hearts, you know!" He gingerly rubbed his tail between his fingers as he walked along.

"It does not, it does not!" Setsuko argued as she grasped Ryoko and Haruto's uniforms instead to tug and pull on as she continued to drag the two poor new crew members towards her domain in the medical bay where she would examine and diagnose the two.

"In you go!" Setsuko exclaimed as they reached the med-lab, and now, instead of pulling, she grasped different parts of their bodies (namely Ryoko's chest and Haruto's head) and began to push them inside, ignoring the looks she got from the gathered sprites and other medical staff.
