so what I am thinking is mozu are sort of a stealth interceptor/fast attack thing depending on loadout
Super Kawarime are more or less workhorse air superiority fighters
would variable frames be like mechanized infantry who get to the battle fast and fight dismounted?
so that would give a combined arms doctrine of something like
Mozu come in low fast and hot, out of orbit and over the horizon to do hits on air defenses, sensors, command and control
Super Kawarime establish no fly
Big Bois come in fast and hit the ground running, do what needs done on the ground? Are like giant pa infantry for assaulting capships?
If you guys wanted to fly an early production model of the Sparrowhawk IIY, there's details on it in a post in SYNC. If The SAoY also wanted to use the non-NDC-specific variant of the Banshee that omits some of the more sensitive NDC equipment and electronics, the Crown exists and could work though it's obviously not fitted with as many standard SAoY systems as the Sparrowhawk IIY. I'm sure that Noval is willing to sell but that's more a Whisper question. The first thing is up to @Alex Hart heh.
For miltech stuff, Noval would ask and yield to whatever the NDC says. No reason to mess up a good business relationship. I do like the idea of taking the IIY, since Argyle is coming from the NDC.If you guys wanted to fly an early production model of the Sparrowhawk IIY, there's details on it in a post in SYNC. Thankfully, that's only a concern for the Crown. The Sparrowhawk Whisper wants to use is produced in Yamatai, and uses standard Yamatai parts with the exception of the prototype sensor/ECM package, engines/powerplant, and plasma repeaters. The head lasers would probably be replaced with Yamatai equivalent systems, and the missiles that don't have Yamatai equivalents (the standard and long range models) are easy enough to fab onboard ships. The biggest thing to remember with something not produced by Yamatai is this is thousands and thousands of light years away, possibly months at full burn wide open FTL.
