OOC Notes
Open RP that was long ago announced.
A quiet woman slipped amongst those gathered. Her pale skin almost made her blend in against the background of marble that ran through the Mining Guild Head Quarters. A pair of contacts she had put in beforehand had protected her sensitive red eyes from the bright lighting that seemed to pervade throughout the entire environment, for which she was grateful. She was not quite sure what she was here for, yet. What she did know was that whatever had possessed her to wear a suit a suit that matcher her obsidian locks in color would have to be dealt with, because it certainly was not a wild night and chacelle at fault for this. Her slender ears twitched as she heard someone introduce themselves as Rocko. After a few rapid blinks she spoke, "Oh. Uh. I am Othari. I do not believe we have met." she said with a warm smile.

Rocko nodded in acknowledgment as Othari introduced herself. "Well, a pleasure to meet you, Othari. Welcome to the Mining Guild Headquarters, and of course the Mining Guild itself. Are you here to join our ranks, seeking employment, or perhaps you're here out of curiosity?" he inquired, as he smiled at her, hoping his furry appearance didn’t trouble her.

Othari folded her arms across her chest in a pondering manner, one finger tapping her chin while she looked around. "Hmm," she thought for a moment. "You know Rocko, I came out of sheer curiosity. Though I am open to what possibilities lie ahead." She relaxed her arms, sweeping a strand of black hair behind her pointed ear. Othari had immediately felt comfortable around the Mining Guild prospector, he reminded her of her fuzzy teddy bear at home. "Would you mind telling me a bit about the Mining Guild? That might help me sort out my curiosity!" she said with a tinge of intrigued excitement.

Rocko's eyes lit up at Othari's interest in learning more about the Mining Guild. "Absolutely, Othari! The Mining Guild is an organization dedicated to the extraction and processing of valuable resources from asteroids, planets, and other celestial bodies across the galaxy. We have a history of providing employment opportunities for miners, engineers, security personnel, and various other roles within the mining industry, and in particular the Mining Guild," he explained enthusiastically.

"We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability in all our operations. Our members have access to state-of-the-art equipment and training programs to ensure they can carry out their tasks effectively and safely," Rocko continued, his passion for the guild evident in his words.

"If you're intrigued by the idea of exploring new frontiers, uncovering precious resources, and being part of a close-knit community, then the Mining Guild might just be the perfect place for you to discover new adventures and opportunities," Rocko concluded, giving Othari a warm smile.

As Rocko finished speaking, he lead her towards the reception desk, Othari would notice he flickered a little as he went. “Hey there, my new friend here needs a visitors pass, think you can get them one?” She asked one of the ladies, in the reception area of the Mining Guild headquarters.

The lady at the reception desk glanced up from her terminal, offering a polite smile. "Of course," she replied, her fingers already moving across the keyboard. She glanced at Othari, then back at Rocko, noticing his slight flicker.

"Alright, just need a few details," she continued, directing her attention to Othari. "Name, affiliation, and reason for the visit?"
"Her name's Othari, and she's curious about the Mining Guild, dont worry, i'll be her guide!" Rocko said with a friendly smile.
The receptionist nodded, quickly typing in the details. “Curious about the Mining Guild, huh?” She glanced up at Othari with a welcoming expression. “Well, you’ve got a good guide in Rocko here, though—” she paused for a moment, eyes flicking to Rocko’s still flickering form, “—let’s just say things are never dull when he’s around.”

She reached under the desk, pulling out a visitor’s badge and scanning it against the terminal. A soft chime confirmed the pass was ready. “Here you go, Othari,” she said, handing over the badge. “This will give you access to the common areas and some of the observation decks. Rocko will be responsible for showing you the rest.”

As she handed the pass over, she leaned slightly toward Othari and added in a low tone, “Just a heads-up, Rocko’s flickering usually means he’s up to something fun—or risky. So keep an eye out!” She winked before returning to her work.
Rocko laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "No risk today, I promise. Just giving Othari the grand tour!"

"Oh!" Othari exclaimed with pleasant surprise. "My that is quite interesting!" she followed up, Rocko's enthusiastic passion for the Mining Guild had started to become infectious. Indeed she was quite intrigued by the idea of exploration and new opportunities. She gave him a friendly smile in return to his, "I am starting to think that the Mining Guild might just be a good fit for me!"

With a bit of pep in her step she followed Rocko to the reception desk. The flicker that was evident as he led her gave her the feeling something potentially mischievous was afoot. Her red eyes alight with anticipation while she readied herself to answer the receptionist's questions. Instead Rocko, her cheerful guide answered and she nodded her head in agreement with him. "I am. Rocko's enthusiasm and passion has made me very curious about the Mining Guild."

"Thank you!" Othari chimed, extending her hand to accept the badge. Deftly she affixed the badge to the lapel of her suit jacket. "I will be extra sure to keep an eye out," she said with a wink to the receptionist. "We will be extra safe, promise!" she said while she thought about crossing her finger, that same look in her eyes quite evident. Whatever would occur on this grand tour, she was certain it would make for some fun stories in the future. "Ready when you are!"

Rocko beamed at Othari's enthusiasm and eagerness to explore the Mining Guild. "Fantastic! You've got the spirit of an adventurer, Othari. I have a feeling you'll fit right in here," he said warmly. With that out of the way, They set off on the grand tour of the Mining Guild Headquarters, Rocko began pointing out various areas of interest, sharing stories of successful mining expeditions, highlighting the advanced technology used by the guild, and introducing her to some of the friendly faces they passed along the way. Rocko seemed to have a good relationship with the employees, and oddly he seemed to know everyone.

He suddenly stopped and with a smile he pointed at a screen. “Ooh, look the advertisement of our newest drones are being shown, that ones the Pathfinder Exploration drone, that squid lookin fella goes out to the systems, scanning for minerals, and ore. And, Oh! The Echosails advertisement drones, those are the biggest work forces of our new fleet of Merchant-class ships. The Marketing Division is looking of possible crew for them.” He commented.

"Thank you Rocko! My ysi would be pleased to know that I am representing their phaloam and nathaul well," she said cheerfully as she followed him for the rest of the tour. She was rather fascinated with his stories of mining expeditions, uttering a few "Oos" and "ahs" when eventful highlights came up. The differences in advanced technologies captured her interest, it was so fascinating yet different from what she had known throughout her past. Each friendly face that she was introduced to helped her warm up to the idea of venturing out from the Cienori ysi to seek adventure with the Mining Guild. It presented a whole new set of adventures and opportunities to make new friends. Othari was amazed that Rocko seemed to know everyone, a testament to the comradery within the guild and Rocko himself.

Lost in the enjoyment she was jarred by the sudden stop, she managed to stop her self just short of bumping into something. A few strands of black hair flew in front of her face as she looked on, completely oblivious to their presence. "Wow! Those are, wow, just wow!" she was sucked right in, her red eyes sparkled with excitement as she watched the advertisements. "Do you think they will accept a Norian onto the crew?" she asked Rocko wishfully.

Rocko chuckled warmly at Othari's enthusiastic reaction to the drone advertisements. "I've seen folks from all walks of life finding their place within the Mining Guild, Othari. I believe your background as a Norian won't hold you back; in fact, it might bring a fresh perspective to the crew!" he reassured her with a smile.

“in fact, the Mining Guild are looking to recruit and invite members of your people to join up. “ Rocko said with a smile.
As they continued the tour, Rocko shared more insights into the different departments of the Mining Guild, showcasing the diverse range of opportunities available. From mining operations to fleet management, security to engineering, there seemed to be a place for everyone with a spirit of adventure and a willingness to work hard.

Othari's eagerness to learn and explore was contagious, and Rocko found himself thoroughly enjoying showing her around the headquarters. He appreciated her company and her genuine interest in the workings of the guild. As they reached the end of the tour, Rocko turned to Othari with a grin. "Well, Othari, what do you think? Do you believe the Mining Guild might just be the next great adventure for you?" he asked, eager to hear her thoughts.

Othari was extremely excited by the opportunity Rocko presented her. She was so glad that they would not only let a Norian on their crew, but that they were actively looking to recruit more! A prospect that her ysi would be most delighted to hear. "I will inform my ysi that you are looking to recruit more Norians!" she said joyfully. In general most of them loved adventure, pioneers into the unknown or new and abnormal journeys. The prospector's smile reassured her that they would be welcome with open arms, should they choose to join.

She listened so intensely to Rocko's description of the different departments that her ears twitched occasionally, which is when she noticed the stray hair in her face. Deftly brushing it behind her ear with her right hand she continued listening as if nothing had happened to interrupt. "Hmm," she pondered. "I think the Mining Guild would be a great fit! The exploration team sounds right up my alley, do members of the exploration team go out on the Merchant-class ships? If not I could study really hard in another area to become helpful there," she paused and looked towards her guide. "What do you think?" she asked thoughtfully wondering what steps to take next.

Rocko nodded in agreement with Othari. "I'm sure your ysi will be pleased to hear that. We value diversity and the unique perspectives that individuals from different backgrounds bring to the guild," he said warmly.

As Othari expressed her interest in the exploration team, Rocko's smile widened. "The exploration team definitely get to go out on the Merchant-class ships sometimes. Atleast that’s one plan, since the Merchant-class ships are meant for selling starships the Mining guild wants to sell and other technology. The Exploration teams responsible for scouting new mining sites, conducting surveys, and seeking out valuable resources. It's a thrilling role for those with a sense of adventure," he explained, happy to see Othari's excitement.

Rocko listened to Othari's concerns about fitting into the exploration team and pursuing other avenues within the guild. "I think your enthusiasm and curiosity will serve you well, Othari. Whether you decide to focus on exploration or explore other opportunities within the guild, I have no doubt you'll find your place here. The Mining Guild values dedication and a willingness to learn, and I can see you have both in spades," he said with a supportive nod.

"If you're interested in joining the exploration team, I can introduce you to some members and give you more details on how to get started. What do you say we head over to the Exploration Department next? or if it’s the Merchant-class ship, actually now that you mention it, we could see if they might be willing to take you on the Celestial Aisles," Rocko suggested, eager to help Othari take the next step in her Mining Guild adventure.

Othari's eyes widened when she received the communication from her father. "Come home." She knew he only used that kind of short communication with her if there was something emergent. The young explorer respected and trusted her father completely. Othari's eyes went back to normal as she looked to Rocko. "Rocko, I am so sorry. I have to cut this trip short. Something has come up at home. I will not be able to join the Mining Guild at this time. You have been such a gracious host, but I must go."

With as much speed as she could without causing a scene, Othari returned the visitor's badge to the front desk receptionist with a warm smile. Then she left the Mining Guild Headquarters and headed back home. There were things she needed to take care of with her ysi, what exactly she did not know. Those two words sent her thoughts wandering, "Come home."

As Othari swiftly departed the Mining Guild Headquarters, Rocko watched her go with a mixture of understanding and disappointment. He had enjoyed showing her around and was genuinely excited about the prospect of her joining the guild. However, he knew that family always came first, and her sudden departure was likely due to a pressing matter that required her immediate attention.

With a nod of farewell to Othari in her absence, Rocko turned back towards the Mining Guild lobby, his mind already shifting to the tasks ahead for the day. As he continued his duties within the bustling headquarters, the memory of Othari, with her red eyes filled with curiosity and determination, lingered in his thoughts. He hoped that she would find the answers she sought and that perhaps, one day, she might return to pursue her dreams of adventure within the Mining Guild.
