Henako turned round, it looked as though it was all over. Henako turned back round and faced Carlos. "Well, I think we are finished. Not much else to do. He is right you know, it is lucky we got out of it." He smiled, "Thats three time for us now Carlos. What next?" He bowed his head and laughed to himself.

"AI, what order's do ou have for the infantry of this ship, apart from standby?" He looked up when he said this, he wasn't sure why, but he did. Then he looked back down at Carlos. "What are you going to do?"

Carlos snapped his medic bag shut and tilted his head up as he listened to the PA sysem. Whew, all done and no casualties? That was rather lucky, if he did say so himself.

Another pouch from his medic bag was opened and a crumpled packet of cigarettes was removed, one taken and put to his mouth, the other offered to Henako with a smile "I'm gonna have a victory smoke, join me yea?"

Arild stretched his joints, which all clicked. It felt good, but he wasn't sure that medicly it was the best thing to do. He yawned, and looked around. Strange that no-one else had come to the bridge during combat, he'd done well by himself, but there should have been a pilot, a weapons officer, and others. He hoped that a medic, or the most medicly trained of the crew, had at least been in the medical bay.

Straightening his clothes to near perfection, Arild resumed his military posture, and proceeded to the mess. He was hungry, fatigue presumably going to kick in after the adrenaline had dispersed.

"AI, what is the current status of the ship?" He asked as he walked.

"Shields are down to 50%, We obtained some structural damage, suggestion to seal off deck, section 3 due to possible hull breach, and structural integrity is weakened in other areas. There is also an error in the power grid I am attempting to fix. We have also lost 3 of our tertiary turrets."

"Very good. When will the ship be fully operational?"

"Currently impossible to say. Full damage assesment will be with you within an hour."

The roof of the corridor that Henako and Carlos where in didn't look all that secure really.

Henako looked at Carlos, and then dwn to the smokes. "No, I will pass this time. Although I do have to say it's tempting. Ye laughed. "You hungry? I could eat anything, and more." He was that hungry, but the cigarette was more on his mind. Oh, one won't hurt. No, they are bad for me, and i gave up.

He suddenly realised that maybe he should have been at the bridge. He was incharge of all the infantry. Though he didn't know how many that was. "AI, was I meant to be on the bridge during that last fight?" Henako frowned, and then looked back at Carlos. "You know, they are really bad for you..." He smiled at Carlos.

"Affirmative. When in doubt, officers go to the Bridge." The AI responded, "Your role was either directing the troops, presumably from the bridge, or in the absence of any other, weapons control. I was too busy to comunicate with you in the fight."

A part of the ceiling collapsed with a crack, blocking of one end of the corridor and letting out a shower of time slivers of perfect iron erupting, now released from the huge stress they had been under. For perfect Iron to have cracked the damge to this area of the ship must have been great. The slivers might cut, but where unlikely to pierce flesh, causing flesh wound at the worse, unless it caught a vein, or eye or something.

"Attention, the area you are in is extremely delicate, the wrong movement could cause the collapse of more of the passage way." The AI's voice resonated down the hall.

"Sir, Deck 2, Section 4 has gone through partial structural collapse, aftershocks of the attack. Santô Juni Henako Kusati and Nitô Heisho Carlos Carlos Luera De la Vega are trapped in a high danger area."

"Damn." Arild reversed midstep, and headed to the area outlined by the AI.

Henako dived forward, taking down Carlos with him. He wasn't sure what had happened but the ceiling had just collapsed. He wasn't sure if they had been hit my a torpedo or something. He turned round from his position on the floor, they where trapped, and pieces of iron where falling on them. he covered his face, and looked towards Carlos, forgetting the he had just dived at him. "Sorry Carlos. Dam my reactions." He laughed a little bit. Then as he looked around he realised they where trapped. There was no way out. "AI what can we do? It looks as though we are trapped." He was still covering his eyes and face. This is odd, seriously odd. What the hell happened?

"Be carefull not to make any exsesive movements, the rest of this passageway is under exsessive stress as a result of the ceilings collapse, others will be here to help soon." The AI responded.

Arild paused in his step, making a ship wide broadcast, "Can anyone who is free and available make there way, carefully to Desk 2, section 4, ask the AI for more details. No more than five people, sorry."

He continued untill he got the section himself, standing at the end of the corridor,

"Hiya boys, you hold still and we'll get you out, don't you worry." Why he was slipping into a drawl he had no idea, it just seemed natural for this sitation, "Don't make any wild movements, according to the AI, your standing on a piece that is somewhat more stable than the rest, you can walk around that bit, mybe three meters in each direction from where you are, but I wouldn't stand on the rest if I where you." Arild spoke norally for the rest.

"Shit!" he called out as he was taken down by Henako, clattering to the floor with him, his bag sliding a few feet away from him.

"Dios mio...thanks for the save, man. Ugh..." He slowly sat up as the ship's commander spoke to them, looking over at him with a bemused smile.

"Oh, is that all? Fuckin' space cave in..." he slowly, carefully pulled his medic bag back to him and produced two more cigarettes, again offering one to Henako...the other two had been smashed into fragments of faux-tabacco and paper. "I know its bad for me and you, but we might be pulped right about now. Emphysema is the least of our worries."

Henako laughed. Stay still, now that is a clever idea "Go on then, may as well there isn't anything else to do." He reached over and took the cigarette out of Carlos' hand. "Cheers." He smiled.

"How the hell did this happen?" Henako shouted out to Arild. "Did we just get hit?" He wasn't sure what had just happened, as it happened so fast. He waited for Carlos to light the cigarette. This could be a while He was sitting crossed legged on the floor, and wasn't going to move, as he did feel like dropping a floor.

Looking up from her foraging, Masako could only blink before rushing out of the galley. "Jôtô Heisho Kurohoshi reporting," she said to the AI. "Inform Bard-Taisa that I am heading over to the damaged section with extreme caution." the small neko said before pausing slightly.

"Also, Confidence, please direct me towards the nearest storage area for rescue equipment necessary to reach them," she asked hurriedly.

"There is a cargo bay with equitment in it down the corridor to your left, second door." The AI said, "It may have something in it that you will find usefull."

"Jôtô Heisho Kurohoshi is heading over to the damaged section, she tells me to inform you that she is doing in with extreme caution." The AI told Arild.

It surprised Arild that on a ship of this size, even if there where only a dozen or so individuals, only one came to help. "Well that's one helper, better than nothing." He told Carlos and Henako, "One moment." If he could remember the ship schematics correctly, then there should be a cargo bay around about here. He turned around and went to find it.

Inside the cargo bay where a series of metalic crates, each with a tag on it describing the content. For this cargo bay they where primarily food and some weapons, nothing that would actually help the situation. "Tell me AI, would it be possible to deactivate the gravity in that section so they could simply float out?"

"No sir. Gravity is maintaining the delicate stress balance in the hall, deactivating it could cause a collapse."

"Alright, thanks." Well he hadn't wasted anything by asking.

"There is a cargo bay with equitment in it down the corridor to your left, second door." The AI said, "It may have something in it that you will find usefull."

"Yokai," Masako replied before jogging into the cargo bay. Blinking at the amount of crates as she entered, she went to work finding the type of equipment she needed. All she could really find were several rope ladders, a roll of cable, and a NovaCorp Construction Drone.

"A drone, ne?" she said while thinking about it. She was inexperienced in such types of rescues, heck she was pretty inexperienced altogether in areas other than piloting and fighting in a powered armor.

"Confidence?" she called out. "What's the status and current programming of the Construction Drone in front of me?"

"That is a NovaCorp Beta Construction Drone. It is equiped with an arc-welder, capable of heating metal to around 10,000 degrees within two meters and a graviton beam, which is capable of lifting of lifting 1 relative ton. It is outside of its standard Alpha Drone due to space problems, and only has a 24 hour battery life. It moves by megnetic repulsion, and is currently controlled by the myself. What do you require?"

The crate opened and the 0.5m3 orb floated out, its various protrusions bleeping as it scanned the area.

"Would it be able to either strengthen the the damaged section or move any clutter to clear a passage on Deck 2, Section 4? Maybe if the drone can strengthen the structure enough, we can evacuate that section." Masako replied as she looked at the orb calmly.

"If not, maybe it could carry them to safety," she added as she kept thinking of a way to help if those suggestions weren't able to be done.

"Your plan may well work, however it requires magnetic repulsion to move, and as such it needs a secure surface. Putting it too far into the corridor could cause the whole tunnel to fall down. However the graviton beams may well work to help the situations." The AI replied.

The drone closed the crate, and began to organise the other crates.

"Hmmm...how long would it take for the drone to use its graviton beams to stabilize a small bit of the corridor long enough to use it's other tools to secure a surface stable enough for it to move on?" Masako asked. "If it could stabilize a section of the corridor a little bit at a time as it moves, maybe the crewmembers trapped in that section could evacuate from there safely." the short neko suggested quickly.

"It can only stabalise part of the hall at a time, attempting for a more peremenant fix would possibly cause the further collapse of the hall, and as such is not feasable. However picking the two up would be feasable. It should also be noted that once an area of the hall has been stabalised, moving on from it makes a collapse more likely." The AI calmly replied.

"Isn't there a more stable way to them?" Masako asked. "Both directions of the corridor couldn't be that bad off, could it?" the neko asked as she bit her lip.

"How much of the corridor is about to give way? What I mean is how close can we get to them without causing a collapse?"

"One side of the corridor is much worse. It has fully collapsed, and access from there is impossible. From the other side, where the Taisa is currently, the corridor is dangerously unstable for around 15m, with a prefered safe zone of 5m beyond that. The drone would only be able to get within 15m before its magnetic field caused the tunnel to collapse." The AI answered, as the drone finished stacking boxes.

"Ok...if the drone can get with in...let's say 16 meters, how much of the corridor in front of it can it stabilize with its graviton beams?" Masako asked. "Would it be able to stabilize at least ten meters of surface enough for one person to walk on one at a time?" the neko asked.

"I know that would still leave a good five meters of space that could collapse but it would allow us a great more deal of room to work with."

Suddenly, Masako eyes widened as she smacked her hand to her forehead. "Gah...I'm such a baka," the NCO muttered as she raised her head. "Sorry AI, but I've just figured out a better plan. Tell Taisa-san that I'll head to them in a Mindy," the young neko stated as she dashed out of the cargo bay and headed towards the armor bay.
