RP: YSS Hana [YSS Hana] Mission Two: No More Worlds to Conquer

YSS Hana
Bridge

Aphrodi smiled as she concentrated, her body was in autopilot as she focused on dealing with the remaining two fighters that were flying around the ship. She could see the Hana move but was trying to stop the fighters from trying anything as she checked with them, keeping them is a more defensive fight pattern, a lot more dodging and a lot less shooting at her new crew as she kept firing.

"Ma'am, the fighters are being dealt with, there are only two left, but I am only giving them the room to dodge at the moment, as it is that or get hit by our shots." She swore loudly as she noticed what they had tried to do "They moved, dammit I can't hit the two fighters without risk we hit the that the crew is on, but will keep locked on for an opening Ma'am."

Sakura peeked for a moment to see what was going on only to rapidly duck back in cover as the grenade launcher barrel poked around the corner, she knew it wasn't aimed at her but the explosives made for the SAoY were no joke. "Oh look at you, hiding while the team does all the work as usual, not a bit has changed." her voice told her, but it was shoved aside in favour of a different outlook, she was playing safe and trying to not die.

"Damn careful where you go shooting that thing all la-dee-da, you heard of a shock-wave before?" Sakura yelled down the hall amidst the gunfire, only slightly ticked off about how casually the launcher had been wielded. She appreciated the help sure but she also wanted to be alive for it to be helpful. "Now, with that out of the way, DON'T STOP SHOOTING!"

To push her point the cook dove across the hall letting loose several volleys towards the two armoured figures at the other end of the hall to her.

Outside the Bridge

Stein stopped with those outside the bridge. He looked at his weapon and reloaded his chaingun quickly while the others worked on getting the door open. As soon as that door opened, he was going to hose that room down with a hail of flechette rounds. He moved into a breaching position next to the door and kneele.

"Ready to breach!" he said, aiming his chaingun at the door as the barrels began to spin rapidly.

"Engage that plan as necessary, Zoeichi-hei!" Shinrin called out into comms just after the doors to the bridge opened and she jumped out of the tank of an Elf's way in preparation for the woman barreling through with boosters. She took stock of the situation on the bridge quickly beforehand, though: there were five seats facing away from the door, all occupied by Elefirn women, unarmored, with a central figure pointing at the stern-side operator, though she was turning her body just as Shinrin got out of line of sight.

Of the two Elefirn in the hallway behind the majority of the away team, one had crumpled and another was still standing on shaken legs as she backed up and tried to save face by shooting directly at the grande launcher's position.

YSS Hana

The bridge's consoles would show that the Elefirn ship was only barely able to avoid the Hana and that now it was speeding away from the Hana, at a completely different trajectory than it had been on before since it had faltered in avoiding the YSS ship.

Kamikaze called out, "Report!" She was hoping everyone would tell her something. She was especially hoping for something from the operators that were working closely on the away team's progress. "Helm, allow our weapons operator the ability to damage the fighters, most of all right now."

Theme: Murder scene - Arch Enemy

The smirk on Zoeichi's face was unbelievable, even though her mask hid it. She was practically glowing. Licking her lips in anticipation. The laboured breathing could be heard through her helmet. Laced inbetween with soft chuckles and murmurs. Her hand quivered around the blade, before a soft breath resounded. Her hand was stilled. She was more than just ready. The doors shot open.

And forward shot Zoeichi. The boosters flared. "UBERREIK," was the last the helmswoman would hear before a massive elf in Power Armour came slamming down against her. Shoulder first, ripping the seat out of the floor with the woman along for the ride. "BLOOD," she cried out as she turned on her feet. Smacking the sword into one's shoulder. Several small arms fire smacking into the back of her armour. Her HUD beginning to show more and more yellow values. Advising her to activate her shield.

The grin just widened. She could almost feel the scorch on her skin, the light stings were lovely. They fueled the onslaught just further. No shields were needed. "WAR!" She cried out as she stepped forward, ripping her sword from her target. Several of the Elefirn had gotten up. Two had distanced themselves and were firing upon her. Two others flashed a certain fashion of melee weapon Zoeichi couldn't immediately judge.

Zoeichi turned on her feet. One of the saw blades circling in her hand, flowing like water as she made an underhanded strike for the enemy's groin. A loud crunch resounding as her pelvis was as good as shattered. The edge driving in deep. Zoeichi ripped the blade back, taking a step forward and delivering a tremendous headbutt, the sickening crunch resoundingas the Elefirn sunk to the ground.

The second had already delivered a punishing strike to the beast of a woman. The creaking of metal resounded. Though a loud laughter came in response as Zoe veered back to her feet. A short parry ensued, before one blade was deeply embedded in the Elefirn's chest. Another flying through the room, making short work of one of her ranged assailants by pinning her now slumped form against the wall. The other watching the ensuing scene with horror on her face. Zoeichi pushed the blade down, ripping it from the Elefirn's form and turned on her feet. A shot resounded, it deflected off of her shoulder. A second one deeply embedded in her chest and caused some stagger. But it only slowed her resolute advance. The third pull of the trigger only resounded in a click. But by then, she was already present. The sickening crunch of a knee being kicked in resounded and the Elefirn dropped down to the ground. Zoeichi heaved her blade and slammed down at the exposed neck. And again; "I," again; "Am". Words carried with each chop.

And one final time; "War". Not moments later an Elefirn head rolled over the floor. Blood dripping down from one sword. The sound of ripping flesh accompanying Zoeichi ripping her other blade from the wall. She turned to the squad, Absolutely drenched in Elefirn blood. "Clear."

Juno released the trigger for a moment in-between bursts with a slight look of confusion behind her faceplate - why was the cook complaining about shockwaves from her thermite grenades? she could hear the sound of the aluminum tearing the oxygen atoms directly from the iron as the roughly 3000 degrees celsius exothermic reaction took place and hopefully sufficiently fucked shit up - the only way the chef could get in the way was if she push-

She saw the mouthy neko begin advancing toward the melting ball of death that was the hallway and was about to join her to warn her about how hot it would be when enemy shots slammed into the wall Juno had been pressed up against. "Don't get too close!" she called out, peeking the shoulder-mounted 50mm gauss cannon around the corner and using the integrated targeting system to get a lock on the armoured Elefrin before she released a volley of well placed shots.

It was a far-cry from her previous tactic of 'melt the hallway and everything in it' but she hoped it would work better.

Aradia watched in a sort of awe as the most aggressive Mindy in the group charged forward. She wasn't very good at figuring out who was who, but... Well, their resolve was impressive. She fired a few more shots down the hallway carefully, more for suppression than any other reason, then shouted out, "Let's go! Use the bridge as cover!" She ducked in, sliding across the floor, ready to fire at the bridge crew that was probably distract-

Oh, they were all dead. Quite... Brutally so. Pushing her back against the doorway, Aradia looked down the hallway periodically - the others were soon to follow, so it was probably nice to not be shooting towards them.

"Aye aye! Moving her around, Captain!" The Iroma pilot spun the Hana on a dime, and snapped his direct line of sight onto the other fighters that dared to protect the enemy. Of course, letting that Elefirn ship they were chasing after to get away isn't something he'd like to do, but this ship is a fast one, and Latch knew it by now. Maybe even the fastest ship of her size, Latch wouldn't really know, the closest ship he ever driven was his house ship back at home.

Man that house boat felt like a relic, now he has really gotten a feel for such a marvel such as the Hana herself. Latch can get used to this, without a doubt.

"The fighters should be in our sights, guys! Fire when ready!"

Aphrodi smiled as she saw the ship more and nodded to her crewmate "Well thank you there, I can deal with them now." Her smile went as she focused fire on the last remaining fighters and just let loose on them, she gave them no room to maneuver or fight back as she got them one by one. "Okay Ma'am fighters dealt with, we have clean access to the vessel and I am keeping an eye out for more of these fighters."

She kept the guns focused around them and wanted to make sure nothing was going to sneak up on the Hana or the crew as she darted her eyes around the area.

Hall

Sakura registered the danger those words carried on them, or at least warned of. The hall ahead would be a nightmare to traverse thanks to the efforts of whoever it was lobbing grenades like candy, Juno someone her HUD told her. "Noted! I'm going to move up a section and try getting a line of sight for their head or torso, think you can keep being an awesome distraction for me?" Sakura questioned, her tone almost playful as she rolled forwards and took up her position in the next section of the hall, still outside the melted danger zone but barely.

Taking a breather to reload and check herself for damage or any other issues the grey skinned neko raised a hand to signal she was ready to pop out and take a shot at the Elfrin. "Hmm, I should make a note to catch up with them at some point over a good plate of pizza, anyone with that many grenades is bound to be interesting." Sakura said to herself while the usually pessimistic inner voice simply did the equivalent of a facepalm in her brain.

Elefirn Bridge

As soon as the doors opened, Stein took quick account of the enemy bridge crew as one of his squadmates barreled inside. He let loose quick controlled bursts, firing at the Elefirn bridge crew and attempting to not do too much damage to the bridge itself.

He was a marksman, damn it. If he couldn't take out a few unarmored combatants with a chaingun then why was he here? He let loose his controlled bursts, firing into each of Elefirn.

"I need to know what's going on with the away team!" Kamikaze said, then looked into it herself. "Alert the away team to seek out overt control of the enemy ship!"

She watched as the helm and weapons worked in sync and then looked expectantly at the SAINT aspect of the bridge.

"What do you say about the situation?" Kamikaze asked.

Shinrin looked about and shooed Aradia and Stein, "Get the doors. Guard them until the team is in, then seal it off. Others, take the bridge's consoles and interpret the controls. Report when you have." Shinrin said over team comms, then over speakers while looking about the dead commander's console, started shouting in Trade. "Does this ship have an AI? An artificial intelligence?!"

"Yes," said a voice in the same language over the bridge's comms systems.

Shinrin said, "You're going to have to let me into your controls."

The AI replied back, "No, bitch."

"You will, do you know why?" Shinrin Yoku asked while she read over the interface of the console.

"I don't need to know," the AI of the Elefirn ship said over comms. "So shut up, fuckface."

"You might want to know," Shinrin said.

The AI asked tersely, "Why, asshat?"

"Because I'm here to destroy you, unless you give up some information." Shinrin's reply was cold as she looked up from the console.

It was around this time that she was hoping her team had found something on the consoles. At each console they would be able to see differing things depending on the duty station's purpose. There were charts at one of internal diagnostics, readouts of obvious solar systems, the ship's layout on large diagrams at another, and scans of the Mindy that the ship had been taking at one more. The command console was filled with the ship's hydroponics station's readouts. Shinrin sighed, waiting for a response as she looked up at the bridge's ceiling.

Hallways

The lone Elefirn made a mad dash for the bridge, or at least began to. She thrusted and tapped into aether generators to try to get past the Hana's away team's small contingent.

Juno gritted her jaw as her Gauss shots went wide, even letting out a low growl of annoyance as the armoured deer-woman began rushing her position. The Minkan had to make a quick decision, grenade launcher would be too dangerous, sword might miss...

The combat-engineer's free hand snaked around to detach the plasma scattergun from its mount, rounding the corner with the weapon one-handed as she pointed toward the rushing enemy's chest and squeezed the trigger down three times - the weapon kicked into her armour clad limb but it was negatable as sprays of plasma were sent towards the lone enemy in the melting hallway.

"Honey Bee" Ke-T7 Shuttle

Elenor took a calming breath, doing a check over her Type-33 one more, mostly to help calm her nerves. Her Ke-M2-4 Mindy armor was comforting, all that high tech defense kit surrounding her body. Of course the only reason she was in this instead of her more preferred Type-40 Plate Carrier was because of the risk of atmo-loss. Never a fun thought. Nonetheless, the shuttle was bringing her in to help the YSS Hana with an issue it had come into. While Elenor herself imagined that either hte Hana was gone by now, or whatever it had encountered was belly-up. Combat in space was short and brutal far too frequently she'd come to learned.

While she and the other 5 members of her team rattled like peas in a pod in the transport space of the shuttle, the pilots were focused on their flying.

"YSS Hana, this is Honey Bee, come in. I repeat, AS-S9-01 YSS Hana, this is NG-S9-28-1, please respond." The Co-pilot said into his radio, expecting a result but following protocol for this kind of thing.

Hasewega had been watching intently, studying not only the Elefrin but the the away team's tactics from her seat on the bridge. The enemy was relatively unknown to her so every step, shot, and gesture has to be analyzed and looked over to find the best way to defeat this enemy at any step necessary.

However her observations and her opinions of the current situation were two different things. She was quite disappointed with how the team was conducting itself thus far. The amount of explosives that had be thrown about and the lack of cohesion in the team made it a wonder they had not vented themselves out of the ship yet.

"Firstly, I would recommend Santô Hei Zoeichi clear the blood off her visor before it muddles the recording I need to send later." She said with a glance over at the apparently now empty Ops console. "I would also like to stress that concern needs to be taken in the bridge as to not destroy any sensitive data.

"Secondly, I do not know where that ship learned to communicate in trade, but it has the most peculiar dialect... However our team's in danger with that thing active and should deactivate it so we can be sure we have complete control of the enemy ship. If it can be disabled without destroying it, that would be greatly appreciated.

She noticed the sounds of a new voice on the comms net along with a new blip on the radar as the friendly shuttle grew closer. She made a mental note to look up the shuttle in SAINT's database to see what exactly it was doing out here alone.

"Lastly, that shuttle Honey Bee needs to be secured before any more enemy fighter show up. We either have to reposition the Hana to pick up or send a team over to secure the crew for now."

Aradia nodded as she took her position, her feathery wings and back pressing against the wall; one wing stuck out into the doorway a bit. Damn things were so big... Her head poked out through the door every few seconds; her left arm glowed softly, ready to fire a blast of deadly energy down the corridor on demand.

"Wow, I haven't heard of an AI this sassy since that robot conversation craze. Should we try to disconnect her instead of working through her?" The elysian-accented yamitaigo coursed through the away team's communications links tensely; the angel's heart was still racing from the charge.

You are steel, thought Klaus Kurogane. He had already triple checked his loadout. Worry began to fill his mind. The YSS Hana, the ship they were sent to reinforce could have been destroyed or captured and... No. That's just pre-battle jitters. Supposition helps no one.

You are steel, he reminded himself of the mantra his grandfather had shared when training Klaus. He thought of home in Ralt, and his mother and grandfather. He missed them. He pushed thoughts of home and comfort and doubt away. There would be time for that later. Now is the time of battle, where indecision can mean death.

"Everyone ready to play cavalry and save the day?" He said shouldering his Scalar submachine gun and put on a smile meant to put people at ease, even though people couldn’t see his face through the Mindy's helmet.

Stein nodded to his commanding officer and moved to provide overwatch from outside of the bridge. He called out to the others inside the corridor. "Bring the enemy this way if you need some help. I'll gun them down!" he informed the few soldiers out in the hall out in front of him.

He closed his eyes briefly, taking a deep breath before opening his eyes again. He looked at the tactical display to see what he soldiers in the hall did.

Zoeichi, who had been way too preoccupied with the caused slaughter, elected to ignore the AI. Instead, a hand moved up to touch the dented, bloody helmet on her face. Whincing momentarily under her breath, the hand lowered again as she reminded herself there wasn't a medical detail present. Deciding to clean her swords from the blood and flesh that had gotten stuck on the saw bits. Plucking it out and flicking it to the side.
