RP: YSS Hana [YSS Hana] Mission Two: No More Worlds to Conquer

NG-S9-28-1
"Honey Bee" Ke-T7 Shuttle

Decimus rustled his wings, feeling the left one twinge slightly. They made a metallic ringing sound as they moved around, as they were encased in the Ke-M2-4E's wing sheaths.

Outwardly, he showed his usual calm, almost sleepy demeanour, but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't feeling a bit nervous. Like everyone else on board, he felt those pre-battle jitters in some way, but he wasn't going to let that get in the way of doing his duty. His weapon was loaded, and the armour was fully powered and ready to take a beating. As long as he worked well with the team, he reckoned he'd be alright.

Aphrodi smiled as she listened to the others in the room, she was happy that it wasn't her job to do that stuff at the moment, shooting things was the easier thing to do. She kept her eyes on her screen though to make sure no other fighters come flying towards the Hana without some welcoming shots.

A data package was sent between shuttle and ship when they had established comms. The captain replied back to the Honey Bee, looking over the package that showed the Ninth Fleet's initial movements, meant to deal with the first Elefirn attack it had yet faced. She could see where they had gone but not where they were going.

"This is captain of the YSS Hana, Taii Kaze Hikaru. We will provide cover to you. I see your primary mission profile is to deposit your armors to help defend us. We could use you in a boarding action on the enemy ship. Sending coordinates and encrypted comms to the team now."

Kamikaze looked to the Iromakuanhe pilot, "Move us about to defend the Honey Bee."

Shinrin Yoku looked about as she saw on her HUD the entrance was secured, but that she was one of the only ones in the bridge.

"Bastion-hei," Shinrin said in a low voice. "Look about and get data recordings to send back to the ship." She then looked to the door, "We need a scientist to look over some of those consoles." She looked back up to the ceiling. Waiting for a response from the AI, she got up from the command chair and approached the console with the star chart, asking the SAINT on the Hana's bridge, "Can you do anything with this?"

There was imagery of several star systems. Sara would have gone over about one third of them already, mostly in the South and SouthEast of the map, since the Ninth Fleet had explored them in the past few weeks. There was a nebula in the top left and in the center there was the only system with designated markers. To the West of the map was what looked like an icon for a ship and it was approaching a grouping of dots, but not systems, with markers that said, "X" above them in a more NorthWestern area. Shinrin made to move to another console.

Once the pilots got the instructions, they started to work their controls. "Affirmative Hana. Honey Bee is rerouting to the provided coordinates to perform boarding actions." The Co replied, giving his pilot a nod. Both were Taii themselves, but had opted for the small craft line of officer positions over ship command.

"Attention passengers, report from the Hana. We're diverting at this time to initiate boarding actions against an enemy vessel. Encrypt Comms have been forwarded to you." The Warrant officer managing conditions for those inside reported, using the in-shuttle intercom.

Listening to the instructions coming from the flight crew, Elenor nodded, stood up, and moved towards the hatch. Once it opened, well, there was a good chance they might have to either secure the immediate area if it was in an area unclaimed by any team the Hana may have inserted on its own, or it'd be quiet if it was an area they had. She didn't answer the question thrown by the Minikan (was her guess by his general body shape). For now, she was mentally working the controls to open her comm to the encrypted ones sent by the Hana. Once she was connected, she took a few moments to steel herself. "This is Santô Hei Elenor Herrick to Hana team. Readying to breach into hostile ship. Will send estimated positional data over TACNET once inside."

Juno stared down the heated barrel of her scatter gun as the enemy's armoured chest was torn apart by superheated plasma, the corpse slammed into the deck as it slid forward a few more feet and finally came to a bloody final resting place. That was one thing she had done right, that small action of being able to hold the hallway lifted her spirits somewhat despite the morbidity of it all - hell it was better than trying to punch an access panel for... whatever reason she had done that.

The combat engineer interfaced with her suit's systems for just long enough to purge the stupid coin-flipping plugin from her system, she had a job to do.

The weapon-laden form of Juno's armour floated into the doorway before she keyed into the team comms, "Shinrin, ma'am - I can give those consoles a crack if you want and no... I don't mean I'll actually try to crack them open this time, my head is in the game now," she informed the away-team's leader, letting out a small grunt of determination as the santo-hei stood there with a weapon in each hand.

Lucas stepped in as well, "I can give any maps a look ma'am. I'm familiar with astronavigation, and know my way around a star chart."

He'd been fighting along side his comrades through out the ship as they moved to this location. His armor was now scuffed as his body felt the old rush he grown to hate. The rush and splendor, as well as the slight terror that was combat. He may be a man of a higher power now, but he was stilled stained by his past sins.

The stains the past left certainly ran deep.

"Cross reference, analyze, theorize, I can squeeze a lot of information out of this with enough time." She glanced over at the dots on the map moving towards. "A luxury we do not have. But judging by first glance, it can safely be assumed that there is going to be a confrontation in this area." She copied the section of the map with the X's and ship icons.

"If the Ninth Fleet or any garrisons are in that area, they should be warned."

"Hai, Yoku-juni," Zoeichi fell in, after producing a deep, strained cough. "Sorry if I take my time," she stated, thumping against the dented side of her helmet this time. "I think my visuals might be damaged." She shook her head momentarily, before moving over to one of the tables, leaving her Scalar SMG there. Pressing the blades to her side. The weapon she decidedly preferred.

Activating her suit for the selected task, Zoeichi went to move around the room, getting several basic readings any of the crew members could do. Once having gathered enough, the elf pressed herself up again. Moving to where she left her SMG, Zoeichi grasped at her helmet and slowly started pulling it off, whincing in pain once again as the helmet passed over bruised and coarse flesh. "Oh, shit," she murmured as a hand moved up to touch the thick, bruised mess that was her left eye. A trail of blood running from the crack that had been mishapen due to the swelling.

The elf turned on her feet, making sure to prop her helmet on before anyone actually noticed the damage. She just had to mind her peripherals, or rather, the severe reduction in those. No need for anyone to concern themselves with it in enemy territory.

"Good work. Helmet back on, Santô Hei!" Shinrin said in a low voice. "Your sensor suite will have to do for the rest."

Shirin saw that Juno and Lucas were both gleaning info from consoles. She then looked to the scientist to reply to her when the AI began speaking once more after a pregnant pause.

"It seems you have control of the ship al—" the voice of the AI began glitching but continued on. "Already, assha—" The AI ceased functioning.

Shinrin got the call from the Honeybee and spoke out to them, "Santô Hei Elenor Herrick, hold your position..."

The team leader asked the AI, "Will you cooperate?" She ask into team comms as she cycled through the team data in her mind's eye, "Who has control of the ship?"

Koizumi Aratani raised her helmeted head to say, "That would be me, Yoku-juni!" She was currently working on disabling the software programming systems of the ship after having disabled the ship's main network. "I am working on making sure nobody catches up to me right now! It's a lot like our armors, I never knew! Starship operations is rela—"

Shirin cut her off, "Santô Hei!" Then Aratani was quiet and Shinrin went on, " Are there any armor teams on the ship, Koisumi-hei?"

"There is no way to know. Well maybe... Hmm, let's see here. The ship has a high crew compliment but it looks like most of the ship is in bed with some kind of illness. Anyone that would have been fighting us by now is likely too under the weather to even comprehend who we are or what we're doing. It's a," Aratani looked apprehensive, "a butt bug."

"We need a full quarantine," Shinrin called immediately across all ally channels, "for those leaving this ship and I want my people off of it, now." She looked to the inexperienced Neko. "Koizumi-hei, you stay on her and see about maintaining control of the ship. We'll set you up with a tow home soon. You have an updated ST like the rest of us?"

"Aye!" said the silver-haired infantry woman.

"You heard me, right?" Shinrin said, rounding up her team as she headed out of the bridge. "Contamination protocols, everyone. You know the drill. We'll see sleep in ten hours! Now get to!"

Kamikaze looked to Sara while studying the charts. "Those are stations. We knew they had them. Now we know where they are." it was then that Shinrin's quarantine announcement came in and Kamikaze could see that they had control of the enemy ship. "I want the Ninth Fleet aware of a possible contaminant and our mission status. We could hold our position. My instincts are telling me we should not. Helm, be ready to have us back out of here and get closer to home. Honeybee," she said to the shuttle. "This is YSS Hana actual! Keep your personnel on board your craft and do not board the enemy ship. We're waiting to hear back from the fleet."

Cockpit

After the message from the captain, there came another from Ninth Fleet, containing a highly covert set of coordinates in a known system once occupied by the Elefirn for the Honeybee and YSS Hana to fall back to. The Fleet was no longer going to make their position known to the enemy at large with the added information that the Hana and Honeybee had just gotten. Within a short number of hours, the Ninth would send a small compliment to scoop up the two small ships and bring them back to Yamataian space.

Juno finished tapping away at the console, the Hana's swarm of catgirls were already yelling out anything she already knew so there was no real point to her piping up about any of that. - if only she had been that little bit faster.

This sudden talk of quarantines and leaving the ship had her concerned though, not for the normal reasons though - something felt off to the combat engineer as she picked up both guns once more and moved over near Koizumi, finally having something to pipe up about.

"Ma'am I'm staying behind with 'zumi, something doesn't feel right and she shouldn't be left here alone," the Minkan spoke, putting her scattergun down nearby as she began reloading the grenade launcher in her arms.

"It's not like she has eyes in the back of her head or anything!"
