To the three grouped around the table, Galar said, "We'll wait for Endoh-Hei and Kenna-Hei to arrive, then we will have the toast." They waited for about a minute, until the two arrived. As they did so, Galar motioned for them to take a seat at the circular table. "Why don't you ask either Kuroaki-Hei or Hibiki Renko-Hei explain the mission after we have a toast to the Moirai's maiden voyage. Please fill your glasses and raise them as I do."
Akira also filled his glass, continuing to watch and learn. He like Galar's style of command, structured, yet relaxed. He was also the type to personally check on things by the look of just the meeting, which might become bothersome but it lent weight to the knowledge that the captain cared.
Galar raised his glass full of fine Lorath wine, and said, "To the maiden voyage of the YSS Moirai! May we be successful in finding and rescuing those who are in need. And to us, that we will not fail in our mission and bring disgrace upon our memories forevermore!"
Galar downed the first half of the glass in the hearty toast.
Lifting her illusory wine, Isuzu mimicked the gesture, though she didn't offer any personal addition to the toast. The last time she'd raised a glass in celebration all hell had broken loose the next day, as if the universe enjoyed kicking sand in her face. Not going to give you the satisfaction this time, she mused grimly, not really sure who her oath was directed to.
Renko lifted her glass and spilled some into her mouth. Swishing the liquid over her tongue gently before swallowing. Having recently picked up a taste for wine and wine tasting she sampled it in the way she was instructed when she learned about different wines.
Renko attempted, and failed, to hide her smile as she looked at the glass and all but purred her satisfaction over the bouquet of flavor in the wine. Obviously one of the best she'd ever had the opportunity to try.
Akira lifted his glass to match the gesture and drank it a bit. He wasn't much of a drinker, so he finished the rest quickly. He held back the urge to grimace at the taste of the alcohol, and did his best to smile pleasantly.
As Lyf lifted his glass for the toast he leaned over to Renko, who he was sitting next to, and waited politely for her to finish indulging herself in her wine. "So, I guess I'm supposed to ask you what our mission is," he began. "Would you mind enlightening me?" He finished the first half of his wine and set the glass on the table as he looked expectantly to Renko.
Kumiko raised her glass with the rest of them, took a small sip, and set it back down. She had never been too fond of alcohol, as it didn't taste very good, and it played hell with her senses if she didn't purge it, but she would grant them that sip just for the sake of the toast. She leaned over to listen in as Lyf asked Ren about their mission.
Renko info-dumped, over the telepathic communications system to both Lyf and Kumiko, the mission briefing from her memory. Making sure to not interrupt the rest of the meeting in doing so.
"Alright, thanks," Lyf said as he recieved the information. He began to sift through it in his head as he raised his glass to his lips a second time. He did enjoy wine, but only so long as it didn't lead to drunkenness, something he was not as fond of.
Galar rose from his seat and announced, "Everyone, remember to leave the glasses with the sprites when you are done, for it is time to commence our first mission! I want all of you in your specified locations in five minutes! Dismissed!"
With that, he bowed, turned, and left for the bridge. EIES, I want you to launch on my command. Make sure you don't kill us.
