Bridge

"Collission alert! Collision Ale~" one bridge bunny started to shout before there was a thunderous bang as the two ships collided; one of the bridge bunnies was thrown forward with their head slamming hard against their terminal.

"Fires reported in lower decks!" someone shouted from below.

"We have causalities!"

"Hull breaches across several decks, emergency systems have been engaged!"

"Reading a malfunction in the sensor array!"

Takeyu scowled and cleared some of his long pieces of hair from his face. "Get me a full damage report! NOW! I want to know the state of the fleet and how many more enemies we have out there!"

Listening Post

Kioko heard and saw the the person who rescued her get injured, she grabbed the gun and person pulling them behind the cover she was behind "can you ssstill fight with a missssing arm", she shot at the rippers in short controlled bursts, trying to get there weak points to no avail, she cursed and wished she could taste the air but the helmet and broken dome wouldn't allow her to.

Kioko peaked over the cover to see one of the rippers dangerously close "oh....", she fired all she could at it hoping it would be enough, the ripper stopped for a few seconds then started to move again, she gulped "how much do thessse thingsss need to die" she hissed a bit and looked over at the battlefield "there needsss to be sssomething we can do".

"Righto you heard the princess, lets get this thing taken care of!" Bors said downing an NMX Neko before hearing Misato over his coms. Taking a look over his shoulder towards his comrade, before he could run over to pull her back what he guessed was a friendly snake thing pulled her back and started to fire.

"It can regrow with a nice helping of hemosynth, but thats more than we we have on hand...." Bors looked down at his buddy and activated his suits plasma cutter, "This may hurt a bit, but hey stems the blood loss before we loose you for good.... again.." As he spoke he carefully cauterized the stump of Misato's arm. "This is Joto-Hei Riko we need a medivac stat at this location." He messaged off to the soyo before turning towards the squads medic, "Medic, take care of her and get her back to the Soyo, she still owes me a drink and I'm not letting her back out of it. Trooper.. umm.. Snake I guess provide cover, The rest of you continue mission, we have a battle to win."

With his orders out he started to make his way back towards the elevator, the faster they took care of this the better.

Crashsite

Fred and Elina scrambled to get into the Vehicles emergancy space suits, once the Mishu open fire on them, letting the Vehicle move on it own in a straight line.

Fred letting loose a stream of curses at Elina as they both put on the spacesuits and checked each other out. She shrugged, muttering "sowwy" sealing up her suit and activating it.

Fred ran back to the controls, seeing that the vehicle with stood the onslaught. Elina followed to and watched the battle unfold before her eyes as Fred killed all external lights and internal lights. moving the big vehicle to get away from the battle.

Crashed shuttle

Chiasa had listened to Chieko. "Bad intelligence and fault data have been the root cause of many a mission failure." She replied then her attention was diverted by the call of a vehicle offering assistance. "What are the odds that someone just happens to be in close proximity to our crash site." she said and started making her way through the back of the shuttle. However, just before she ventured outside the unmistakeable sound of weapon fire hitting the shuttle filled the compartment.

"Well, things just got worse." She activated her radio and contacted the Power Armor clad members of their team. "Who is shooting at us, is it the vehicle offering assistance?"

"Negative Juni, we have NMX soldiers firing at both the shuttle and the ground vehicle." came the reply.

"Well, since the enemy know we are here, may as well report to the ship." she then activated her subspace communicator in the AMES. She chose to keep the message to just the salient points and not identify any ships or personnel.

Science shuttle is down. Shuttle flight status unknown. All hands are well. Hostiles engaging. SITREP status update in thirty minutes.

Bridge

Nenene was just settling herself into her station and arranging her mass of volumetric windows when the call of collision! was sounded, followed an instant later by an intense and violent jolt that send the executive officer tumbling out of her chair and onto the deck. As she tried to gather her feet under herself though, the continued shudders and shakes and jolts from the collision and subsequent impacts kept her on the deck.

She grabbed for anything she could get a hold of as the ship shook around her, hauling herself up just in time for the last and utterly horrendous tremor. Nenene was kicked off her feet and sent tumbling face forward into her control station. The last thing she remembered before blackness took her was the sensation of her face smashing through the glass and metal control panel.

Kioko sighed loudly "call me Kioko or Sssanto Hei Gargandottir" she hissed as she kept providing cover fire for the injured party and the medic "I will do my best and keep you safe" she fired at close enemies making sure that none come around to flank the position. Kioko had a small grin as she fired at the ranks of the enemy "how long do you think it will be? because one person can't protect against all of this, we need a good distraction".

Listening Post

Stepping off the exit ramp Lydia broke off to the right of the ramp and knelt down providing suppressing fire for the rest of the unit to disembark the shuttle. Tracers streaking through the air, kicking up tufts of dirt around her, the whole thing seeming almost surreal as she took a back seat in her mind and let her body and training take over.

Once the last member of her unit made it off the shuttle she made a break for the nearest bit of cover as everyone pushed into the compound of the listening station. It is there that she witnessed the teams leader Heisho Misato end up on the wrong end of a harrowing barrage of fire. Now pressing forward with the rest of the unit as they made the last stretch towards the elevator she nearly ran into a NMX soldier that seemed to materialize out of the smoke. Not wasting anytime her training kicked in as she brought the butt stock of her rifle up to crash into the NMX soldiers head. A loud crunch followed by their head snapping back as they stumbled backwards from the sudden blow and before they could regain their footing Lydia leveled her rifle gunning them down with a quick burst that severed their torso in half.

Glancing back towards the rest of the unit she saw her comrades quickly come to the aid of their Heisho while others regrouped and made the final stretch towards the elevator. It is then that she saw a group of NMX soldiers take up positions to pick off anyone attempting to cross towards the elevator and before she knew it she was already reaching for a 50mm HEI shell in one of her packs as she ran towards a mound of dirt to use as cover.

Listening Post

Meiko opened fire on the enemies as they began approaching, everything was happening so quick, Misato was being brave, the enemies were falling, but then it happened. Before anything could be done Misato got shot once, twice, and then multiple times ripping her arm off. Meiko gasped a bit and tried to get to her, but was immediately pinned down by covering fire. Thankfully, Bors and his squad was able to get to Misato and give them covering fire along side Kioko, and ontop of that he cauterized the wound. Meiko listened to his orders and nodded, once Kioko began giving her covering fire, she moves out and drags Misato behind cover and opens her medical kit and looks through it, deciding the best choice of action at the moment would be to give her pain medication so that transition back to the Soyokaze would be at least a little easier.

She paused for a moment realizing she didn't have a trauma kit, so she couldn't precisely do anything for this type of wound, even having a lack of pain medication. She took a breath and looked down at Misato. "Sorry to say Ma'am, you're going to have to bare the pain, I don't have any way to numb the pain." She looked up at Kioko and Ume. "Tell me when its safe to move, I'll start moving her towards the extraction point." She pulled out gauze and Antiseptic, first applying the antiseptic, and then beginning to do her best to wrap the cauterized wound to protect it, and ensure that nothing got to it.

Listening Post

Ume followed along after Misato psyched for battle and began exchanging shots with the NMX while sticking to cover. When Misato was shot she wanted to rush over, but there squad had medics that were going to do that, she just kept her fire strong to keep things clear so everyone could move about freely. After taking a moment to hear Bors' orders Ume sighed and prepped her auxiliary equipment, things were about to get even more messy, but they needed to clear this area if they planned on making any progress.

Once everything was ready she deployed all six of her nodal support drones, of course they began firing to try to keep as many NMX from peaking out as possible, but they also began sending targeting data to the purple neko. Soon 3 missiles from each pod were flying through the air and on a crash course for the marching line of NMX. However instead of taking them on directly, the missiles were placed to maximize splash and hopefully down as many shields as possible.

Ume poked her head up just before the missiles were set to impact but instead of her LASR, she had her Atheric Pulse Canon ready and began firing into the NMX, trying to get them before shields could recover.

Crashed Shuttle

"Seems improper masses aren't the only bad intel we've received," Chieko grumbled, feeling the telltale signs of projectile impacts of the shuttle through her feet. Crashing was bad enough, but now a firefight and her without her Mindy? This was getting intolerable.

"Juni, I'm going to head out and try helping from cover," the biologist began, "but next time you see me leaving ship without power armor available - whether I'm wearing it or not - hit me."

She then began going through the various emergency storage areas looking for a rifle with more power than her NSP. While doing so, the young Minkan would now and then utter the word "baka" to her self. Though she may be what Bors would call an "egg head", she was still a soldier in the Empire's Star Army.

Soyokaze

The ship was still shaking from the vibrations caused by all of the destruction. On the bridge the first reports from the lower sections started coming in. Each new report claimed more lifes and hours of drydock time. The bridge crew was fighting to gather all they could and include the ground operation in the updates going to the XO and CO. The ship's orbit continued around and now was bringing her and her fleet into LOS of the moon.

Two of the crew jumped up and raced to give Nenene assistance after her fall. Though they were already calling for a medical team to get up to the bridge.

It was about then when the ground operations officer spoke up. "SIR. There is a call for a medevac... Sir Heisho Misato is down... Requesting permission to send one of the surviving shuttles for evac?"

Another report popping up before Takeyu was the crashed shuttle. Since it went silent nothing had come in, now that the shuttle crashed and the ship was coming around, visual and sensors were now picking up the wounded bird.

High above the moon

Something happened when one of the lower cargo bays on the Heavy Cruiser was torn open. A few cargo containers got loose before the safety shielding could activate. One was a cooling unit that contained breakfast meats. It was tumbled away form the ship colliding with other debris. before long the battered item was crashing into the moon, but the contents were now raining form the black star filled sky. Bacon Rain... A first recorded event in all of the verse....

Shuttle

The SAoY Nekos were fighting well holding the attacking NMX Mindys form gaining more ground. Chieko's attempt to find a rifle came up empty. The rescue vehicle was now only feet away.

Three of the Enemy's 5 had been hit pretty hard. Hard enough to to have put them out of the current combat.

Listening Post.

Two of the rippers were blown apart by the missile barrage. though they were falling back as the SAoY forces pushed forward with their fire parts. Poorly armed NMX nekos were laying around, each dieing or dead. Smoke didn't quite form up in the vacuum, bu the dust and the particles in the area started making the area feel smoky.

Riko Bors and those who followed him reached the elevators that lead down to the lower areas. The button panel only had three buttons. Though there was a card swipe card next the one marked down. Just outside the door was a dead neko with a swipe card pinned to her chest with a zip cord attachment.

Waiting for the smoke to dissipate around the NMX soldiers that only a moment ago had been standing. She could make out their silhouettes but a few of them were still standing trying wade through the smoke. Shoving the 50mm HEI shell into the receiver of the slag she shouldered her rifle in one quick fluid motion that was followed by audible thump as she pulled the trigger. It took only the briefest of moments for the NMX soldiers to disappear into a ball of fire and smoke as bits of debris rained down from the sky. Straining her eyes she couldn't tell if anyone had survived the blast but never the less she trained the barrel of her weapon on the smoke as she leapfrogged from cover to cover dodging incoming fire.

Eventually she broke off from her initial contact and made a break for the elevator as she saw Jôtô Hei Bors and the rest of his unit stack up on the entrance. It is there that she slid to a halt on the opposite side of the door with her weapon trained on it and noticed the key card pinned to a dead neko. Without breaking eye contact she used her peripheral vision to lean down and pluck the key card from its former owner, snapping its cord in the process as she tossed it to Jôtô Hei Bors.

Standing back up she squared herself along the side of the door frame, her eyes ceasing to blink as she focused and prepared herself for whatever may be on the other side of those blood stained doors.

Listening Post

Kioko kept firing at the mass of enemies waiting for an opening, She glared because of all the dust in the air then when she saw a gap in the firing she looked at the medic "okay, move now, I will draw their fire away from you while you got moving" she stood up and started firing at the enemy trying to make them change who they were attacking as she ran around laughing as the pushed each other around to try to fire at her.

Soon Kioko made it so a lot of the NMX Nekos and a few rippers had gave her chase because of her annoying shots, she laughed and taunted them a lot as she ran trying to get more of them to chase her and was trying to dodge the shots a few hitting her causing her to stumble but she kept moving hoping to give the others as much time as she could. The only problem was that where as the enemy knew the area, Kioko didn't and soon had to thin out the enemy or get killed. Kioko turns and empties her weapon getting rid of a few of the Nekos but only annoyed the rippers more as she started running again trying to reload while she ran.

Listening Post

Meiko nodded and picked up Misato. After a second of mental preparation she stood up and moved to get Misato away from the battle and towards the extraction point. She kept her body between the injured Misato and any bullets that may fly their way in the process to insure that nothing more damaged the already hurt Misato.

Crashed Shuttle

Looking everywhere, nothing. Nothing, nothing, and more nothing. Just NSPs, and Chieko knew those would not be enough.

Noting another thing she will need to think about for next time, the military biologist tried working out what else could possibly be useful. She had chosen this shuttle because it had the better sensors for what the mission she had been given compared to the straight up combat shuttle.

The combat shuttle...

The two from the outside did not look at all very different, and there were things on them that she wasn't quite sure of the use of when they started out. The Minkan could have wracked her brain about what they could have been; but time was wasting and the shuttle's power hadn't gone out yet.

Chieko made her way back up to the cockpit and began calling up the computer. Once in, she went through its modules inventory, checking to see if anything had been put on the shuttle for defence. Of course being the SAoY load out, the counter measures and missile pods had been equipped; however they had been attached to the sides. Looks like the only had the one set to work with.

Noting even this, however, the academic began having the system run diagnostics on the availability of the one missile pod on the undamaged side and the tactical sensors. If both were available, she may be able to use that on those attacking. If only the missiles remained, however, she may need to get creative and ask a technician back on the Soyokaze for help.

Listening Post

Ume noticed Meiko move to pick up Misato and begin carrying her, as well as the new girl starting to move, so she powered up her dorsal energy shield module, and though she didn't directly step into any line of fire she did expand the field to catch some stray shots to keep them from reaching the medic and Misato.

Seeing things thin out on their side a bit Ume got a little worried, but she was told to clear out the NMX in this portion, so that's what she decided to do with any of the drop soldiers that were staying as well. And since she had her atheric canon she kept her focus to the more heavily armored Rippers. "Those with Atheric Canons focus on the enemy power armors. Others should focus on the light infantry." She spoke over the comms to give orders to everyone, since the groups CO was downed and no one stepped up as acting officer for the defensive detachment yet.

Near Crash Site :: Rescue/Salvage Vehicle

The big rescue/salvager vehicle steady chugged along on its heavy steel catipiller tracks right over the downed NMX powered armored troops, hopefully squishing them flat from heavy weight of the vehicle. Fred gave an evil grin, muttering, "oh this is sooo sweeet, Elina."

Elina eyes widen as the dim light highlighted the falling breakfast meats falling from orbit, "Never see it rain bacon before... have you, Fred?"

Fred looked again as a strip of bacon hit and slid off the viewport. "Whot next?! Lorthian dancing naked on the moon?" Then both busted up laughing even if it was a dire situation they was in. Humor in its many forms was acceptable and appreciated no matter how bad or crude it was. People here on the Moon enjoyed it regardless.

It didn't take long for Riko to figure out that they needed a keycard for the elevator, the lone slot indicated as much. Accepting the card from Lydia with a grumbled 'thank you' almost sounding mildly annoyed as if she handed him a flyer. Plugging the card into the slot he hit the button for the lowest floor after all of his team was in and waited for the ride to finish. At least the terrible elevator music distracted him from wanting a cigarette.

Soyokaze

Takeyu had to weigh his options, given that there was a request for medical it most likely meant that there was combat going on in and around the listening post - and sure enough - that's what he was seeing on the sensor readouts on what they were currently getting. "Bring the ship in close to the listening post, if any of our escorts are damaged I want them to pull back and provide support. Get a medical shuttle ready for deployment to space-lift the injured to the ship," he barked orders as he checked the ships other status.

"I also want damage teams to secure all damaged sections, any infantry still on board are to begin counter-boarding procedures just in case any of those NMX decide to take a swipe at us." He stared back toward the holographic display. Damn it Misato, if I find out an NMX injured you I'll tear them limb from limb...

Takeyu then turned his attention to his ships XO; seeing her faceplant the terminal did make him mentally wince. When he saw the medics file into the bridge he gestured toward her, "Check her at once!"
