Hotaru tensed at the mention of Minis not tasting good, but also confirmed that she understood that there was to be no cannibalism. She did not, however, relax over Takeyu's attempt to placate her; instead offering a tight lipped, fearful smile in response. The Mini did, though, realize that the captain may have misunderstood her mention of the Nodal System.

"No need to use the Nodal System for food, that would take too long," the clerk replied, "The Hemosynthetic Conduit System would be better - though I am told the fleshy chunks are worse than rations. It is the waste disposal system of the ship to begin with, so all scrap organics go there to be broken down anyway. The femtomachines inside just happen to be able to make food the same way they re-grow people.

"I only mentioned the Nodal System for the creation of repair items, since we are also running low on those as well," Hotaru continued, "So depending on the state of repairs, that may or may not become a future issue."

Nenene was dowin the wrecked lower section of the ship, clad in an AMES suit, surveying the damage and current state of repairs. She had her science scanner out and was using it to gather some additional data.

The captain's request for an update had come in and she had been squeezing herself through a narrow space, causing her to be late in reporting.

"work is underway, the damage is extensive and will take some time to get into condition where we can get underway"
she replied via wireless

Ume was not too hard to find if one would follow the trail of destruction. She was currently helping engineers repair a portion of the ship. Specifically she was holding a support beam in place as they were making welds and securing paneling thing to maintain structural integrity of the ship.

Drop Ship

Bors let out a grunt as he hit the ground and was mounted by Misato, though he made sure not to drop the bottle in his hand.

"No the kids ain't fighting." He said flatly before holding the bottle in her face and shaking it a bit, "Though I thought you may need a distraction, you've been disappearing more than a fat kid with cookies."

Bors made no attempt to move from his position as he waited for Misato to answer.

Takeyu sighed, rubbing the back of his neck before looking back at the Mini. It wasn't so much that he misunderstood her in regards to the Nodal system, but instead had actually forgotten entirely about the H.C.S., probably because he didn't like the idea of that kind of a system. "Lets just hope it doesn't, I don't envy telling the crew that they need to start using the H.C.S. for food, had it before.. tastes horrid," the man turned his full body toward the Mini. "Just remember that the Nodal system has its limits, prioritize system repairs needed for us to get the ship back on its feet."

Hallway to Medical Bay

Kioko decided to go check on Meiko in the Medical Bay to check if she needed any help with clean up, as she entered she looked around then smiled as she saw Meiko "hey there, would you like any help?"

"I too would rather us fixed before the rations run out," Hotaru bowed, "You will not see a request set on it by myself or the logistics team, unless it is to provide broken recyclables for feedstock. How regularly shall I keep you appraised of inventory, Kanchou?"

She looked down at him with a frown. "I have been really tired as of late, so when I'm not needed for patrols or working in the Armory, I've been here sleeping." She paused her thought and sneezed, the wiped her know with her sleeve. "That and my nose has been feeling weird."

She yawned then looked down at him again. "So whatcha doing drinking, arn't you suppose to be babysitting the kids?"

Medical Bay

Meiko blinked ever so softly as she looked towards Kioko. She smiled a bit and waved to the person she met on the planet, she felt a small bond with the girl herself, for much of the same reason that she felt a bond with Meiko. She listened to the girls question then laughed and nodded. "Sure, I wouldn't mind some help. Could you do me a favor and help me get all this medical equipment moved back to its proper placing?" She tilted her head lightly, blue eyes watching her. "And I don't believe I caught your name in the middle of all that fighting... I am Santo Hei Meiko Lee, a Field Medic, its a pleasure to meet you."

Medical Bay

Kioko giggled as she looked at Meiko "I am Sssanto Hei Gargandottir Kioko, Intelligence Operative, a pleasssure to meet you to" her scaled arms and cheeks showing properly as she didn't have her armour on, her tongue flicks in and out every so often. Kioko started help move the medical equipment to its proper placing asking every so often about were something went "ssso um, just wondering what do you like to do?" she smiled as she worked "I wasss just wondering, no one ever wantsss to talk to me becaussse of the sssnakey look."

Hallway Outside Medical

Kana and Isrun made their way down the corridor, AMES still on, but helmets in arm. The pink haired Neko seemed to be poking at the frosty haired one, begging her to help out. "I don't want the Doctor to tell me to go to bed," she whined, "All I need is one shot of stimulant and I'll be good for the rest of the day." Isrun only looked more and more skeptical; however with Kana being the higher rank...

"If it is determined that you require rest, then you should get some rest," the frosty haired Neko replied,

"But what about you? Do you think they will let you go back?"

"I am fine. I'll just stop by a coffee pot on my way back once the Doctor has had a look,"

"Isrun, you look just as bad as I do," Kana grumped,

The frosty haired science trainee sighed, feeling a little more tired about her teammate's prodding than normal. "Alright," she finally replied, "but do we have to cling together?"

"Absolutely! There is no way it will work if we don't!"

Sighing again with personal disappointment, Isrun stopped at the Medical Bay door and waited for Kana. Psyching themselves up, the pink haired lab assistant counted down until she hit the button to open the door. Walking in, the two Neko's entered by only three steps, clung together cutely and called out with puppy dog eyes, "Seeeeeeeeenseeeeeiiiiiii!* We need help!"

* Sensei - used to address a master of knowledge or art (often seen in martial arts or schools), this is also a term that can be used to call upon a doctor.

Science Lab

Not taking long to get antsy, Chieko sat on a lab bench, swinging her legs and looking about as she watched her oxygen. She figured she could work outside the AMES now if she really wanted to; however some of the chemical agents that had been let loose were the kind that she really did not want to risk breathing. Thinking that through, however, the biologist soon realized that with all the neutralizer agent that had been used, the lab's contained HCS could cycle the air a few times, allowing any last vestige of yuck to be removed.

Checking again that the seals between the lab's system and the rest of the ship were still sealed, the science adviser started the pumps to cycle the air. With that started, Chieko paced around the lab a few times before full and well really getting bored, all in the space of fifteen minutes. Soon she made her way into the airlock, got cleaned off, then exited into the main ship space. Then, taking a deep breath there, a rumbly in her tumbly started up.

"Keep me up-to-date every hour," Takeyu said and accessed the ships logs - or what he could access given the extent of damage done to the ship. With a heavy sigh, the Captain turned toward the Mini once more. "Was there anything esle?" he had a smile on his face, it wasn't a fake one, but a genuine one.

"Yeah," Elina nodded as she watched Chiasa work. "I was bored and keep getting the run-a-round. Been transfered from a troop transport after being cleared from Decon there. I was suppose to come here but apperantly I gotten on the wrong shuttle."

She gave a few moments to think on how she was feeling. "I dunno. I may caught something alien to my body. Normally I'd shrug it off in a few days. Maybe with all the chemicals in the air from the damage is making me sneeze."

She watched Chiasa work assembling what ever she was working on. "Ever think of leaving the Star Army? I could use an an expert such as yourself in helping setting up equipment for my performances."

"My concerns are met," Hotaru smiled then bowed, "I will keep you up to date." The Mini kept to her bow until acknowledged before taking off again.

Chiasa gave the module one final check. Satisfied with its condition, she was ready to go and install it. She effected smirk #1. "While your offer is generous Elina-san. Unfortunately at this point in time my leaving the Star Army is an impossibility. I must complete my tour of duty if I am to truly achieve my independence. Although upon the completion of my servitude. If I find myself looking for employment. I will be sure to contact. you. Although I am more of a scientist than a technician. However at the moment, my skills are required to help get the Soyokaze as operational as possible out here." She stood up and picked up the module.

"Well I need to go and install this to complete the repairs I have been working on. If you like, you can come along while I complete the repair." she turned and started walking towards the door. She paused to see what Elina's reply would me.

Elina jumped up excited, "sure!" She quickly joined Chiasa. This was her chance to really see the Soyokaze and she wasn't going to miss an opertunity. The XO could wait on her for a change! "Just tell me what to do and I'll be glad to lend a hand."

"Well, its back to the section of maintenance conduit that this module is to be installed in. Secondary fires and short circuits damaged a lot of the Soyokaze's infrastructure. This repair that I am doing will help restore the internal sensor systems, as well as improve the through put for the external sensors to the MEGAMI.

An extra set of hands will be helpful since the cable has to be properly secured in place once it is connected to the module. We can not have the cable vibrating as that causes damage to the cables and eventual failure." Chiasa said walking down the hallway.

"I'd be more than glad to help out." Elina trotted along side Chiasa. With nothing to do at the moment. She needed something to occupy her time. At least she could be helpful around the ship. And finding a familiar face was a blessing amongst the crew of this big floating city.

Chiasa was actually content that Elina had chosen to come along with her. While she could have accomplished the task, having someone to assist meant she could complete the task that much sooner. Once she returned to the repair site, she opened the access panel to the conduit. Her tool kit was where she left it, and she crawled into the conduit. Then she made her way back to where she was working. Once there she waited for Elina to arrive and to allow the person to move past her before starting the installation. After all. it would be inefficient to start the work, only to be jostled by someone and short the module out.

"SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!," the two science Nekos called out again.

Outer Corridor

Noticing that her tummy rumbled yet again, Chieko decided that she just might have to stop by the Mess to see if they had any snacks laying out. With this course of action in mind, the biologist began making her way down the corridor, chipper as ever, and humming a little tune to herself.

Seeing a purple paneled Neko up ahead, Chieko called out, only to hear her voice echo in her helmet. Realizing how silly that was, the Minkan quickly took her helmet off, then shouted to Ume. "Oi! Santô Hei!" she yelled, "You hungry?"

The thought of having an accomplice excited the woman as she continued to get closer. If only the infantry Neko would be receptive to her offer.
