And now, a blast from the past (from 12/19/03)... OOC: Another fun fact: Yamataian ships switched from GSS to YSS on 1/30/04, almost four years ago.

Today 5 Kyoto-class Carriers, 15 Yui-class Scouts, and 20 Odori-class Freighters were transferred voluntarily by Taisho Motoyoshi Saito to the ravaged 3rd XF. Sources indicate that the 3rd XF was forced into combat with an unprepared fleet against an enemy much larger than the data given by intelligence. The 3rd XF's situation is said to parallel our own after Taiie to a degree, the Fleet facing their own hardships from the destruction of their fortress at Tami and in the upper levels of their command, to the Species Restriction Order thinning their numbers substantially. The lack of support from Command has moved the Taisho to take matters into her own hands and get the fleet back up to an at least reasonably operational status...

Uesu Departs in Rampage; Yamatai Fortifies Homeworld Kyoto, Yamatai - The former Emperor and his massive fleet departed today in an amazing, grim trip straight into Mishhuvurthyar territory, where the armada of over 300,000 warships left a path of mind-boggling destruction, destroying several entire star systems outright and leaving other Mishhu-controlled worlds in shambles. Emperor Announces Unexpected Successor Kyoto, Yamatai - Emperor Uesu today issued a short statement, saying that due to the great successes of the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet, Taisho Motoyoshi Katsuko would be almost immediately be taking the throne, rather than Princess Ketsurui Himiko. Additionally, Uesu said that he will be departing on a colonization/exploration mission with a large personal fleet.
