A ground breaking ceremony was held outside the civilian half of Kyoto today. This site is to be the primary campus for the new Yamatai -Scientific Studies Service (Y-SSS). Professor Saiki Kouan the newly appointed director of the Y-SSS presided over the ceremony which was attended by several other dignitaries. Her Majesty Empress Himiko who granted the Imperial Charter for the new service was unable to attend the ceremony due to her duties at the Second International Relations Conference. After a period of relative quiet from the Star Amy's Third Expeditionary Fleet, Taisho Nakamura Miku today held a short press conference with a few fleet aides to announce recent restructuring to the fleet as well as her plans for the future. Fleet Planner Shosho Kawazoe Sekai faced the cameras once more to announce her second restructuring of the fleet under as many Taisho; this time the focus is on smaller groups to allow for a more natural and flexible response to the type of issues the fleet is likely to face. In a small private ceremony on board Gemini Star Fortress Ketsurui Katsuko was named the Commander of the SAoY's Seventh Standard Fleet. The veteran Taisho seemed optimistic about the future of her new fleet and refused to comment on the politics behind her rescent acceptance into the Ketsurui Clan. The former Motoyoshi has made strides to separate herself from the actions of the Motoyoshi and has no comment or interest in politics between the YSE and the UOC. Taisho Ketsurui Katsuko will spend the next several weeks overseeing the construction of her new fleet at Gemini, and also confirmed that she plans on releasing an refit version of her Takumi ECC design.
Funky City, Nepleslia - An estimate issued today by DIoN officials places illegal slaves within Nepleslian space at "it's lowest point since Independence". "Since the reformation into the DIoN, police and government officials have been working around the clock to combat the once-rampant problem of slavery in our borders," stated J.Q.
