In the last few years Star Army has experienced a flood of new factions, including several playable ones. This has introduced some issues for the site:

• The number of active players has not increased to keep pace with the addition of new playable factions
• New factions have been introduced which don't seem to relate to the other factions in the site
• It's a lot of work to maintain and grow factions
• A lot of recent conflicts between members are closely related to development of...

 

I don't get into IRL political matters here much but in this case we really have to.

FCC Chairman Ajit Pai, a former Verizon lawyer, plans destroy net neutrality, which will give big cable companies immense control over what we see and do online. If this happens, companies like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T will have extensive control over what we can see and do on the Internet and the power to slow down or block websites and charge apps and sites extra fees to reach an audience.

Hey, I was looking at the wiki and noticed there's a lot of orphan pages. An orphan page is a page that no other pages link to, and they're not allowed because it makes pages hard to find and because we want pages to link to each other. Stuff's got to be connected. Also, pages that are orphans tend to pages that no one cares about, or that are not important, because otherwise other pages would be linking to them.

Every once in a while we go through the orphan pages and remove them. I intend...

The next sitewide community meetings will be on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 at the usual time of 9pm EST/6 PM Pacific, and the following Wednesday, June 14th at the same time. The meeting will be held in the main (general) chatroom, which is accessible from the "CHAT" link in the forum menu.
