RP: Fort Ready Class 3 - Another Beginning

Satomi, The over-zealous blue-haired Neko, had already kicked her opponent in the face. That NH-29, however, didn't seem to enjoy the favor and returned it in the firm of a punch to the stomach. Soon, an all-out cat-fight started, and the two were on the ground, biting, scratching and spitting, actually trying their darndest to kill each other.
 
Kazuma sidestepped to his left a split second before Strelgar's hit connected. He could hear the air rushing passed him as his opponent's fist passed him by a hair. He sharply roundhouse his opponent in the stomach and jumped backwards, trying to increase the distance between him and the berserk warrior.
 
The blow to Strelgars stomach stopped his momentum. Strelgar turned from where he was struck. Snapping his neck as the bones cracked and popped. Sprinting with every bit of his speed, he charged. Pivoted on his feet just as he got close, his back facing Kazuma. Easily flipping into the air landing just behind him. As he proceeds attempt a strike at Kazumas head, with his own skull.

Barely feeling the blow to his abdomen, starting from the basics he had learned. He knew full well of battle and how he wanted to fight. Every step of the way he made mistakes, just to see if his enemy would take the opening.
 
After going through a few breathing exercises, Hotaru and Maya were facing each other. Hotaru decided to throw the first punch, with a following scissor kick, gauging Maya's reaction time.
 
Maya was facing Hotaru getting ready to fight when all of a sudden Hotaru threw a scissor kick that hit her squarely in the side of the head sending her spinning on the ground. Maya was trying to get back up in a daze, she looked like she was seeing stars, but shakes it off. Maya mutters under her breath "So thats how you wanna play, huh." Maya faces Hataru again and this time gets into a yamataian combat stance, from the way she was standing she looked like she was mimicking a praying mantis.

Maya then worked quickly accessing her primary minds state of alertness. "Conscious superalertness mode activated" Soon her sensory input increased drastically to the point where the world around her looked like it was moving slowly. Maya's eyes then snapped locking on to Hataru with what can only be described as blood lust. She then began breathing in and out heavily with fangs bared making menacing catlike hissing noises. It was at this moment she used her inertia controlling to self propel herself towards Hotaru for a sucker punch stright for the head.
 
Shocked that Maya didn’t get out of the way of her kick, Hotaru was about to apologise when, with her sharp hearing, heard Maya mutter

and thought to herself, uh oh. Seeing Maya getting into a stance, Hotaru decides to try something she once read about; she forces herself to relax, imitating someone not in a ready stance, with her head lowered but eyes on the opponent.

Seeing Maya getting worked up, Hotaru quickly ran through possible moves and strategies in her mind. Suddenly she sees Maya speeding towards her and instinctively tries to get away by back flipping. Unfortunately she isn’t quick enough and gets hit hard in her stomach, midway through, causing her to stumble, almost falling sideways. Stabilising herself using her inertia control, she tries to get her breath back before Maya has a chance to follow up her punch. Deciding on her next move, Hotaru attempts to leap over Maya, while kicking backwards, hoping to hit Maya’s back.
 
Kuriko continued looking for a partner as people started pairing off an fighting. Most seem to be taken... Kuriko thought to herself before her eyes fell on a Yamataian standing there by himself. Kuriko walked up to Krasus and bowed slightly before speaking. "Anou, do you have a partner yet?" Kuriko asked as politely as she could.
 
Kuriko nodded weakly to Krassus before she stepped back and settled into her stance. I'm not sure I like being on the offensive... Kuriko thought just before she kicked at Krasus.
 
Maya was about to follow her first attack with a quick second when she was suddenly and violently kicked in the back HARD. The attack sent her flying and then skidding in to the dirt some six feet. As she lay there face first she gets up, the front of her shirt had ripped open from the hard skid though her sports top was still slightly intact, and then slowly turns her head towards Hotaru for her to get a good look.

Her normally green eyes were now glowing an unnaturally bright blood red and she was still breathing heavily with fangs bared, saliva dripping from the tips, and making hissing noises. It looked like she was getting close to going berserk. She then hit the ground digging her hands and feet into the dirt and started making random evasive maneuvers around Hotaru like a fast spider, trying to outflank her and looking for an opening behind her to tackle her onto the ground into a choke hold.
 
Krasus attempted to catch the kick, and then pull her forward and throw her to the ground.
"Good luck." He said as he exhaled when she kicked.
 
Hotaru felt her kick connect, and turned around after landing to get a good look at Maya. She really didn't like the look Maya was giving her. Keeping on the move, facing Maya, Hotaru tried a feint by running towards her opponent, then veering off at the last moment. Not quite realising how quick her opponent had become, Hotaru tried to get behind Maya once again.
 
Maya had missed her tackle attempt and sensing that Hatotu had used the opportunity to try and circle behind, Maya gave her a mock smile. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, I don't think so." Maya then tried to proceed with a swift reverse head-butt to Hotaru's own head followed by a quick reverse kick right between Hotoru's legs and sensitive nether region for a "low blow".
 
Noting he had his back to his opponent, Kazuma started forward, when Strelgar's skull connected with his. He could have been knocked unconscious, but he was already moving forwards, from trying to get away, that it only knocked him onto the ground. He shot his legs forward, moving him into a forward roll to get some space which he used to get up.

Once he was on his feet, he ran and sent a punch for Strelgar's face, hoping for a hit. He believed that the hit would miss, but he had to start somewhere.

Kuriko's foot missed the mark, but the swing was too erratic that Krasus failed to catch it, bringing them back to the start.
 
Seeing that Maya missed, Hotaru felt more confident in approaching her again. Before Hotaru had a chance to grab her, Maya slammed her head back into the side of Hotaru's face knocking her backwards and away from her follow up kick. Stunned and seeing triple, Hotaru could only move in random patterns, using her senses to try and keep track, awaiting the world to come back into focus. Hotaru was thinking, 'Damn, my cheek hurts. What's her head made out of? Zesuaiaum?'.
 
Maya turned around and notice Hotaru stunned and trying to keep her balance. Maya's eyes flashed red as she confidently walks towards Hotaru with an open hand. She intends to grab the stunned Hotaru by the neck, lift her off her feet, and then with the coup de grace, slowly squeeze the life out her. "Come to me sister Hotaru, Come....."
 
Alright, so you're trying to catch my leg huh? Here, I'll even give you a second chance. Kuriko thought as she launched another kick, this time faster, aimed right for Krasus's chest. As she kicked Kuriko increased the weight of her foot, by using her gravity manipulation, so that if it hit it would have extra force.
 
Still somewhat dazed, Hotaru can barely make out Maya and her mutterings, but not enough to decisively engage. Boosting her hemosynthesis to her eyes she can see better, but thinks it may be too late as she feels Maya's hands around her neck.

Hotaru, while not panicking, thinks to herself, the instructors are here so Maya probably won't follow through with this. Remembering how to break free from a frontal choke hold, Hotaru shoots her hands up and out, breaking Maya's hold on her neck. She then palm strikes her in the sternum before backflipping to get some much needed distance to recover her breath and calm down from her near asphyxiation.
 
Maya immediately let's go of Hotaru and clutches her chest in great pain and falls down on the floor. If must have been a very strong blow to an area that was totally off guard because Maya was now lying on the floor in a fetal position clutching her aching chest with both hands and whimpering softly. Her eyes had return to normal and were now blood-shot with pain. Maya was quietly whimpering. "...help....help....help.....me......" Maya then quickly fell into a state of shock and unconsciousness.

OOC: I decided to end it here because frankly I thought it was going to far.
 
Hotaru, rushing over, quickly thought to herself, I didn't hit her that hard before shouting, "MEDIC!!", while checking her over for any obvious injuries and apologising profusely.

While she was waiting for a medic to arrive, she grinned sheepishly to herself, realising that short of a mortal injury, Nekos have rapid healing. With this remembered bit of information, Hotaru relaxed somewhat.
