RP: Fort Ready [Class 5] Back in Business

Yoshiro looked to the door and took a deep breath. With his rifle up he walked inside. As he entered the room he scanned the area looking for hostiles. He stood to the side of the door to let the others inside while maintaining cover in case someone attacked. "Geez, this is making me nervous..." He said as a slight sheen of sweat appeared on his forhead. "Be careful, you guys as you come in."

He kept his vigil as he waited for the others to come in. He was a bit shaky but okay. I need to do my best here. I am leading the team now and any mistakes I make here are going to cost me big time. Just have to calm down and think. He thoght to himself.
 
Inside the vehicle bay, three NH-29 Series Nekovalkyrja could be seen wearing NMX field uniforms. Upon the group entering, they immediately sprang into action. One of them picked up a large object that was nearby, which looked like a larger version of a EMP Grenade, and sprinted to the nearest vehicle, a Type 30 Tankette. The other two infantry grabbed their weapons, Type 30 Battle Rifles and took cover behind creates that were nearby.
 
Yoshiro took stock of the situation as he watched the enemy. One was headed for a vehicle and two took cover behind crates. "Crap! We got company team! Keiko, Saki I need you to throw some grenades at the two behind cover and flush them out when I give the command. Shoot them if they move from cover. No mercy for the enemy." He said as he took aim at the one running toward the vehicle. "Toshiaki, I need you to help me take out the one headed toward the type 30. Kill her at all cost! She seems to have some kind of bomb or explosive device." He took a calming breath and gave the order. "NOW!" He shouted and opened fire with his Type 30 battle rifle.
 
Toshiaki found some nearby cover while listening to Yoshiro's orders.

"Acknowledged Yoshiro-san!"

Taking aim at the enemy heading for the Tankette, Toshiaki fired his Xaser. With luck Yoshiro and him might be able to take down the boogy before it started up the tank.
 
Saki was of course last to enter the room. So we are fighting Mishu. She thought. Yosh gave them their orders. Saki quickly took out one concussion grenade and threw it behind the crates covering those two. She then quickly kneeled, aimed her flamerthrower at the boxes and sent a short burst of flames that way while thinking that Yoshiro roders takes a long time to say. Was it same with her?
 
"Understood!" Keiko grabbed one of her stun grenades and lobbed it for it to fall behind the crates her targets were using as cover. After that she quickly took aim with her rifle and readied herself to shoot at anything that poked out of the crates.
 
The shots from the flamethrower kept the enemies behind the crates. Since they were surrounded by flames, they didn't notice the grenade land a couple feet away from them until it was too late. With a flash, the grenade went off in the faces of their assailants, immobilizing them for the next 5 or so seconds. The crates protected the group of infantry, and the enemy climbing into the Tankette was lucky enough to have been looking the other direction. Toshiaki's shots missed his target, but Yoshiro manage to score a shot on the enemy's shoulder. The Neko dropped the package she was carrying as her arm became useless, but managed to climb fully into the Type 30 Tankette and start it up.
 
He grinned as his shots hit the NMX Neko in the shoulder but the smile soon turned into a frown as the Neko climbed into the tank and started it up. "Toshiaki I am going to need your help. I am going to go for the bomb and try to disable the Type 30 Tankette. Distract the driver however you can so I can get the bomb and activate it." He said as he turned to Saki and Keiko. "Saki, Keiko keep those two behind cover and occupied. If they pop their heads up, shoot them. If not just watch them. Since they didn't come out of cover we'll need to keep the there until we deal with the bigger threat of the tank."

He then used the available cover to make for the bomb to try and disable the tankette. If I have made the wrong decision here, I am going to pay for it. Better to be able to learn the right way during training then to die in war and never get a chance to do it right He thought to himself as he made his way as stealthily as possible.
 
"Hai!" Saki responded to Yoshiro and turned to Keiko. "Keiko-san cover me!" She said and run to neares crates ending with slide. She quickyl kneeled behind crates peeking out with her flamethrower and spraying area where her assigned enemies were. "Get to cover too Keiko!" She telepathied as she fired.
 
Well this is going to be fun...

"Alright Yoshiro-san I'll cover you."

Maybe that package you dropped will be important enough to draw you attention.

Toshiaki fired a quick shot at the tankette and began running to the dropped package simultaneously trying to make sure the tankette driver knew what he was going for while dodging between crates and using them as cover.
 
Keep them busy, right

The young soldier laid down some covering fire to give Saki enough time to get behind some cover before she herself ran for the relative safety of the crates. She figured the enemy wouldn't give them too much trouble if the grenades did their job.
 
The flamethrower made quick work of the two enemy Nekos, incinerating them from such a close-range attack. Toshiaki's movement managed to distract the Tankette driver as it turned its gun towards him. The Tankette fired at Toshiak, but since it's machine gun was clearly not meant to be shooting such a small target at such as close range, its shots were off by several meters. When Yoshiro reached the bomb, he could see "EMP" stamped on the front, and there was a countdown timer that read "1:13".
 
Yoshiro took the bomb and check the timer. 1:13 and counting I suppose. Time to disable that tankette. He thought to himself and ran behind the tankette while the driver was distracted. He attached the bomb to the back of the tankette and press the activation button and ran to cover. "Everyone take cover now!" He said as he vaulted over some debris and hunkered down to wait for the bomb to go off.
 
Saki just burned two beings to death. Sure they were NMX but they were still nekos. They were what she was. That idea shivered through her body. It was differenty from Rippers. Rippers won't scream in pain as they burn.

Saki quickyl shaked her head reminding herself that this is situation. "Everyone take cover now!" shouted Yoshiro. Saki was good in listening to orders so far, so she listened to this one too. She covered behind the box and pressed herself side by side against Keiko. At least she can shield her when the thing explodes. Whaterever it is.
 
Well, I'm not dead yet, that's got to be a good sign.

Hearing Yoshiro's shout brought an automatic reaction in Toshiaki. He immediately hit the deck behind the nearest cover.

Just don't get yourself killed Yoshiro!
 
"Everyone take cover now!" Yoshiro yelled.

Whatever is about to happen, it's definitely not good. Probably loud too.

Fortunately she was already under cover, so she just had to get down and prepare for the worst. Keiko noticed how Saki pressing herself against her and so she imitated the neko. It seemed like a good idea in case the blast was strong enough to reach them.
 
The Tankette continued to fire at Toshiaki. The shots, like the others, were clearly not designed for this type of combat, and were off by several meters. The driver then got angry, and drove straight at Toshiaki. However, due to the small stature of this vehicle, it was easy to tell that this wouldn't work very well.
 
"Toshiaki, get moving and get somewhere safe! That Tankette is trying to smash you!" Yoshiro shouted. "Get behind something solid!" Yoshiro hope that his commands were good ones but he was getting a bit scared. He was out of his mind with worry for his comrades but hoped that he was doing all right.
 
Well Just great...

Toshiaki took a quick moment to look for the most substantial cover in the room. Having found it he began running towards it, dodging into cover whenever possible.

"Blow this thing up soon OK?"
 
The ticker on the EMP slowly started ticking down. When it hit 15 seconds it started to beep, and the beeping got increasingly rapid.
