RP: 5th XF [Intermission:YSS-Yugumo] Touring The New Ship

"Yeah, I'm pumped." Camellia muttered as she yawned slightly, she absently ean a hand through the hair that draped over half her face. "So, Tenshi, what's your position on the new ship?" She asked absently as she turned and waved slightly to Louis.

"I'm combat arms, and a armourer. You?"

'Tenshi leaned her head back, her long ponytail tucked under herself so it didn't whip out behind her or get tangled from the wind.

She looked over to see Louis in the jeep with them and waved with a little grin.

"Senior Tactical Officer and head of the onboard Intelligence and Security." She stated dryly. "I was in combat arms back when the Akuro and Akuro II were in service." She said, rubbing her neck, "I guess my command abilities during the Murf offensive showed my skills."

"I get to be a techie on our good ship Yugumo" Louis blurted out and leaned forward and smiled before continueing: "I don't get any cool title like you two, who may I say look lovely this morning."

"Technical Sentry right?" 'Tenshi looked over to the guy that had came into the conversation and shrugged.

"I think the title sounds cool. But oh well I suppose."

She shrugged again before she looked back to Camellia.

"So you were a combat arms before you were a officer? Awsome so there is hope for me!"

'Tenshi laughed a little at what she thought was a rather funny joke before she looked back to the other two.

Once all were aboard the shuttle, Kiyoko sat co-pilot talking quietly with the pilot as they headed towards the shipyard. Once they arrived at the Ketsurui Shipyard she got out of her seat and addressed the crew as they prepared to disembark. "Our clearance has been granted, and we are to proceed to the ship. Once onboard we will stay together as a group. Haruhi and Tenshi, I expect you both will be taking note of any equipment, weapons or other logistical needs.â€

From his corner seat, Creighton was able to see everyone and all the action on the shuttle. But the Nepleslian paid it little mind as he was dozing off during most of the trip to the shipyard. His body finally catching some rest since coming home.

As the shuttle finally came to rest and locked in place, Creighton shifted in his seat and groaned. After a moment he hefted himself up and retrieved his uniform cap from the top of his seat. Glancing around he took a head count of those of the inspection party.

"Here's hoping the bridge has been finished." The starship pilot commented as he pulled his cap over his head and low so his tired eyes were obscured. He then followed Kiyoko and Caine out. Creighton let out a low whistle when the sight of the Yugumo could be seen full. "Looks about ready to set sail."

'Tenshi nodded to her captain as she followed the group and stood by them before they got to the ship. She seemed to be all buisness now, rather different then the hyperactive bouncy neko from the day before. Her eyes scanned the ship quietly after taking note of the AI.

She began to comitt everything she saw to memory and tried to take in every detail she could. Every so often, she would take a look over to Haruhi to see what she looked at, and when she found it, she would begin to study it as well. They both had to know the details of the ship equally anyway right?

Camellia followed along, keeping silent as the tour began, and she kept up, so she wouldn't be seperated from the group and then be tempted to steal fizzy lifting drinks. When they got to the window, she looked at the massive ship, and whistled long and low.

Caine got out of the shuttle and walked alongside Kiyoko and looked around a bit before seeing the Synthetisized AI. White hair...Violet eyes, quite the unusual body for an AI. But unusual is nice to see at times. Caine thought as he walked along, blushing a bit at how close he was to Kiyoko but that wasn't an issue as of the moment. "It's quite a nice ship, nice and spacious at least." he said quietly.

Reina followed along toward the back of the little group, having already been up here the day before straightening out the kitchen/mess. "Always thought it was nice up here, the AI's a piece of work too."

Haruhi acknowledged the commander's instructions with a nod and an amused smile, sure that if there were any needs to be addressed aboard the ship that they would not be uncovered with just a simple look around. Following the officers out of the shuttle and through the shipyard to the transparent viewing corridor, the armourer looked out over the ship that was the object of her new assignment. An altogether impressive sight, she couldn't help but compare it to the Irim-class gunships that she had served on her entire life; almost nine times longer, six times wider and twenty times higher, the Takumi-class dwarfed the armourer's favourite ship type. Haruhi could only begin to imagine the difference on the inside, as while the Takumi's primary crew compliment was much larger than the Irim's it didn't have to pack any where near the over seventy thousand NH-12s the smaller ship fielded.

Shifting her gaze away from the ship before them, Haruhi turned to Datenshi. "So, do you have any relevant experience in being an armourer? Ever done any inventory control, stock taking, accounting, acquisitions...?â€

'Tenshi looked to her fellow new crew member and nodded a little.

"I have done some inventory control, along with acquisitions and some stock taking. But it was all during the first few weeks of training, so it has been some time. I do know matinance and repair though, so I can help more in that aspect, but I am very willing to learn. Anything to make myself more useful."

It did indeed seem that this girl was all buisness as she went about scanning over the new ship yet again.

Datenshi frowned slightly at what she sensed as a insult. With a small sigh, she decided it best to simply keep her comments to herself. It was obvious the girl was a little unsocial, but 'Tenshi would prove herself.

"And you? What training do you have? Simply the pre-programmed stuff? Or are you a armourer specialist?" She peered over at the woman again, standing by her as she waited for the group to move on.

This time it was Haruhi's turn to frown as she turned to face the taller Neko. "They don't just hand out warrant officer ranks at the breakfast table you know, I've been an armourer since I was pulled out of the bag over three years ago. Got real, hands-on training in everything I know aboard an active ship, none of the classroom junk I'm probably going to have to flush out of your head.â€

Roger, having managed to oversleep and completely miss the breakfast earlier, had managed to scramble his ass together and make it to the shuttle before it had departed, with merely a string of expletives to explain why he'd been late. Regardless, he now stood unsteadily, staring bleary eyed at the the ship. "Looks good," he finally grumbled out to anybody who was listening. "Can we get to the engines yet? I want to see what the hell KSY screwed up this time."

The provided transport dropped Dom off at the gates of the construction, leaving him to fend for himself in locating his super and reporting in with his new orders.

"I wonder how they're gonna handle me as the MedOp.... Considering i'm the effective equivalent of a resident in the private sector. I'm no miracle surgeon, but I can get things done...:

By the time Dom was finished talking to himself, he had arrived at the tour's starting point, and was that much closer to his goal. Weaving through the rooms, Dom eventually caught up with the group in the viewing corridor.

"Shosa Motoyoshi. A pleasure to meet you. My name is Dom Ashtree, and I will be the ship's Medical officer. Is there anything you need from me at this moment?"

After posing his closing inquiry, Dom stood erect and viewed the ship on which he would be working, drumming his long fingers on the window as he looked from the ship back to the Shosa, awaiting a reply, but not pressing.

'Tenshi gave the smaller woman a look and sighed, but still kept her remarks to herself. What was with her? She didn't need to be so snappy. But it could just be her way of being professional...tough love even? She had never really had a teacher that had gotten on her to much, though the discipline people seemed to enjoy her antics since it got them off thier chairs.

Still...it was thier first conversation...And the woman was already so biting with her comments. Usually that didn't come for a few weeks if it ever did. So instead of the comeback that had formed in her head, she simply muttered a "I see..." Before she moved her gaze away from the woman.

((Fine, since you guys had to go and complain I'll go ahead and move the ball but I assure you that it's going to suck monkey ass))

Kiyoko looked over at the newcomer, Ashtree by name and nodded a polite greeting to him as the group continued to follow the AI her own small guided tour of the ship. Once the group was into the ship proper, coming off the lift in one of the corridors of the Yugumo the situation seemed to brighten as the lights started to come on from the hazy gloom that was the interior of the ship before anyone boarded it.

"I wouldn't worry about the engines...." Caine said, turning to Rog and Louis. "it's a brand new ship so I highly doubt that there's anything wrong with them just yet." He sighed.

"Yeah man don't worry about it, I've already been on this thing once and it all seems to be working." Reina said. "Then again..." he rubbed his head, all I saw was the interior of the kitchen and messhall."

Kiyoko herself was speaking to Dom in response to his questioning, unable to help but smile slightly at the new recruit's enthusiam she replied with; "There's nothing at the moment, just try to keep up with everyone." Cocking an eye back at the bickering nekos toward the back of the group she sighed, this wasn't the way to start off things.

The AI's sprite, seemingly heedless of the social conflict brewing with Haruhi and 'Tenshi beckoned them on to continue their tour. "Where would you like to go or see first? I suggest the bridge personally as it is the hub of control on this ship but we still have time. Please." She said with a sweet, soft sounding voice.

((I know it's not much but it's something,))
