Re: Mission 18.1 - Winter Leave

Wardroom

Mitsuko nervously bowed as the captain walked past her to exit the room. She tried not to look suspicious, letting out a sigh once Hanako had left. When Natsumi addressed her along with the others, she blinked, feeling unsure. She looked for Misato, hoping she hadn't gotten too far away yet. "I...I don't mind...but...Suzume-chan has...business...to take care of..."

"So planning some mischief eh? What ya gettin' yourself into this time?"
"Haha, maybe," She knew Mitsuko was paying attention trying to figure out what she was up to, and worrying, "I'm hoping for something slightly less mischief ridden then the last operation."

"Sure that would be fine as far as I see, Just Mimi-chan here and I have a few things latter in the day that only the two of us can do, so we can go take care of my business, then Mimi-chan and I will wonder off and take care of the side project and we all can meet up for shopping and dinners. how does that all sound?"

Misato laughed deep with in her self when she watched Mimi-chan sigh with relive.

Wardroom

Takeyu smiled and got up, taking his leave from the rest of the crew and heading to his cabin to change quickly into his dress uniform and boots, he double checked himself in the mirror and gave a nod.

"I need to get back to the gym later," he muttered when he flexed his muscles a bit. Before leaving, he sent off a quick message to his sisters, to see what they were up to and whether they'd be able to join in.

"Christmas season... and with the war now coming to a close, perhaps there will be more peaceful moments," he could hope, and that what he was doing right now.

After making one final check of his clothing he left the cabin and made his way into the cargohold. He waved at Hanako and sprinted up to her.

Cabin 5

Something about today seriously depressed Tomomi. But as she laid in her bed trying to figure it out, the alarm she kept putting on snooze rang. Sighing to herself, she finally rolled off her bottom bunk. She went to change from the physical training uniform she wore for sleeping and changed over to her clean set of the working uniform.

Making her hair at least minimally presentable, she went to see if anyone was in the wardroom.

Cargo Bay/Starport

"It looks like it is just us so far," Hanako said before stepping out onto the ramp and into the crisp, cold morning air beneath the Eucharis' tail. At the bottom of the ramp was the snow-covered concrete, slippery and crunching beneath her boots. It was a few hundred meters to the edge of the landing area, where a fence and various buildings lined the spaceport. After crossing and leaving their footprint trail across the field of white they arrived at building where they picked up the keys to the rental hovervan from a local Nekovalkyrja sergeant.

"Would you drive, please?" Hanako asked Takeyu as they approached the van in the parking lot.

Cargohold/Starport

Takeyu smiled and nodded as he walked over to the drivers side of the van and got in; he looked out to see if anyone else from the ship was possibly coming, though it did sadden him to see that it was just the two of them.

"Where to first Ma'am?" asked Takeyu.

Re: Mission 18.1 - Winter Leave

Wardroom

Mitsuko didn't like the implications of what her roommate was saying. It all sounded so sneaky and underhanded. She fidgeted, barely noticing Tomomi wandering in, fretting. Her mind worked overtime on possible scenarios. Was Suzume secretly some sort of gangster? Smuggler? Arms dealer? Maybe it was all three!? No wonder she didn't want the captain knowing about her side business!

Murakami had a rather detailed vision of what Misato had planned for them, distorted by her worries. At the mention of 'business', she pictured her roommate, wearing those sunglasses and jacket she liked, menacing and assaulting some poor civilian that owed her money, while she herself was forced to tally up gambling debts and work on laundering money in the background. Then 'wandering off and taking care of a side project' morphed into Mitsuko being forced to help a maniacally laughing Misato bury several bodies.

Wardroom

Tomomi looked over at Mitsuko, still half asleep. "What's going on?" Tomomi asked with a half yawn.

Re: Mission 18.1 - Winter Leave

Wardroom

Mitsuko had worked herself into quite a state by then. Worried tears were starting to well up.

"Suzume-chan has turned to a life of crime!"

She suddenly grabbed at her roommate, pulling her in for a surprisingly powerful hug, squashing the other Neko's head to her chest as she forced the taller girl to bend over awkwardly.

"You don't have to live this double life anymore, Suzume-chan! You can turn yourself in, tell the captain you're the infamous Blue Basher, I'm sure she'll go easy on you if you confess!"

Murakami might have been reading a few too many of those adventure novels she'd picked up from that mysterious cargo shipment...

Wardroom

Tomomi just put her right hand to face and shook her head. She felt kinda sorry for Misato. She recovered from her previous position and moved closer to the two.

"Now why would she go and do a thing like that? Especially when there is a crack computer specialist to recruit." Tomomi said with a knowing wink.

"Sounds good to me" Natsumi replied, smiling. "I can go to the Onsen or something while you two are taking care of whatever it is you need to do" she added, then turned to Bors, "Maybe you want to come too, or we can find something else to do until they are done?"

"Ohhai Tomomi-san!" Natsumi greeted as she came in, then, Mitsuko had her sudden outburst.

Natsumi held back a giggle, it was comedic how the usually quiet Mitsuko had suddenly come to her conclusion about Misato's secret life of crime. "

Wardroom

"yeah sounds good, I didn't really have any plans." Bors shrugged. The onsen seemed like a good idea anyway, and Bors was thinking that he would enjoy it, he could have his own brand of fun there anyway.

With her face smashed against Mimi-chan's chest, Misato was griming. Muffle, "I can't confess for anything I haven't done. I order crap from a junk seller and resell it. we are going to 'Take care of that Business," pulling herself from her roommate's grasp.

"Though I'm not going to tell you the rest because it is a secret, but I promises that it is totally up and up." Smiling, she winked to Mimi-chan. the rest get your gear and meet us at the cargo hold doors so we can get this all started. Mimi-chan come with me, I got some cloths you can borrow which will keep you a little warmer."

Re: Mission 18.1 - Winter Leave

Spaceport

Hanako climbed up into the van and buckled her seat belt. "Are you going to complain if we go to a clothes store?" she asked Takeyu. It was cold in the car, and Hanako went for the heat controls as soon as Takeyu had it running. I need to buy some civilian clothing for myself and I was thinking some civilian clothes would be good gift for the crew, too. I promise not to take too long there."

Re: Mission 18.1 - Winter Leave

Wardroom

Mitsuko gasped at Tomomi's statement. "Oh no! You're in on it too!?" She glanced between the others surrounding her, wondering just how far the corruption had spread. With Misato's voiced muffled, it took a moment for Murakami to realize she was speaking. She let up on the pressure, letting her roommate up for air, although she left her hands on Suzume's shoulders until she squirmed free.

"R-really? You promise?" She sniffed, removing her glasses to wipe at her nearly glowing eyes. "O-okay..." She nodded, the energy from her emotional outburst now drained away. Mitsuko followed her roommate as they split away from the group. "But...but the captain said we should wear our new uniforms!" Her worries could still be heard by the others as she followed Misato toward their cabin.

Cabin 4

"I think that was probably more of a suggestion then an order." Misato started pulling out a few tee shirts, light jackets and a pair or jeans, "Here pick the jacket and shirt your like best then put them and these pair of jeans in to this back pack, once we go out I'll buy you a nice warm jacket and then you can switch over the the street cloths." Smiling she pulled out a back pack that came with the luggage set the Sho'sho gave every one last year.

"Now hurry so we can get out of here." She sat down and waited for her roommate to pick out what she wanted and get packed.

Re: Mission 18.1 - Winter Leave

Cabin 4

"Mmmfff...are you sure, Suzume-chan? I don't want to get in trouble..." Mitsuko looked over the clothes as her roommate pulled them out, but they soon ran into a problem. "...um...Suzume-chan? I don't think these are going to fit me..." She held up a few articles of clothing to emphasize her point. "You're almost a foot taller than me!" She giggled. "...that's a nice backpack, though..."

Soon enough she was examining the piece of luggage, seeming impressed by the quality. "Mmm, well I was thinking about bringing that snow coat I...was given." She eventually moved from the bag to pull out the white coat, setting it with the rest of the clothing. Murakami fetched her Dress Coat as well, pulling it into place over her uniform, settling the hat onto her head afterward.

"...oh! You shouldn't have to buy me a jacket, Suzume-chan. Um...you can definitely help me shop for one, though!"

Re: Mission 18.1 - Winter Leave

Cabin 4

"You might have a point about the size, guess I didn't think about that. oh well." Misato looked Mimi-chan over, "Well don't worry about it, I want to spend the money on some one other than myself."

Misato quickly put on her own slacks and a black tee shirt. A pair of black boots and her leather jacket on over it all, "Well then bring the back pack empty you can put your uniform into it after we find something nice for you." She put her pistol into the interior pocket of the jacket and made sure it had the upgrades attached to it, "Let's get going." Misato opened the door and lead Mitsuko to the cargo bay to meet up with the others.

"Great!" Natsumi grinned. "I'm ready to go when you are!" she added. There was no point in her changing out of her uniform. All of the civilian clothing she owned was for warm weather. She was going to have to go shopping for sure

Re: Mission 18.1 - Winter Leave

Cabin 4

"Well, if you really want to...oh, then I'll just have to buy you something, too! It'll be fun." She grinned...stuffing the thick, white coat into the backpack before closing it up. Mitsuko waited for her roommate to change before following her to the cargo bay, ready to begin their shore leave.
