RP: Yome Ismâopate [Mission 2.0] Spirits in the dark

La'tâ proceeded into the Airlock with Murr and waited with her. Before the room began it's decompression she switched her suit over to drawing air from the on board air supply and closed external air intake as well as checking the indicators to make sure the suit was vacuum ready. Once she and Murr were both ready she would start the process.

Murr switched over to suit air as she also closed up all external access to the armor. She checked La'ta out to make sure that La'ta's suit was working properly and let La'ta check her's. Once that was done. Murr gave the go ahead to let them leave the airlock into space for the trip over to the derelict.

At first the room was filled with the hissing sound as the atmosphere was being pumped out of the chamber and into storage tanks. As the air quickly thinned the sound faded out. The indicator by the interior door showed a numerical display of the pressure in the lock. It also showed that the interior door was locked.

Once the chamber had reached hard vacuum, the double doors slid silently into the walls, revealing the site of the ship in the distance and the nebula beyond.

=== Damaged ship ===

Hewid and Toidorno continued approaching the ship. They were close enough to see the airlock controls which were illuminated. That was a promising sign as it meant there was enough power to cycle the locks automatically rather than manually. Hewid moved to the console and started cycling it so they could enter.

Crossover

Murr looked at her target destination, via transmitter to La'ta, "just relax and take brief glances around you. If you feel panicy, look at me and hang onto the crate. Kill all thrust and get your mind back in the groove. I'll do the driving."

Murr prayed to all that was Sacred that La'ta follow her instruction. She could feel the fear within her building as she had taken a good look around her as she engaged the thruster pack attached to her armor.

"Use the fear that you feel to sharpen your mind to remember what your doing and goals are." Came the voice of her instructor of Zero'G' training portion of her training before being assigned to a ship.

Murr let the fear within her flow within her as she kept her focus on the Derelict that was her target. She kept an eye on La'ta to see how she was doing also during the traverse across the vast open space that surrounded her little team of herself and La'ta.

La'tâ was more than willing to allow Murr to take the lead in guiding them through to the other ship. She did not however want to be just dead weight, and in such a situation it could become a hassle, so she kept her thrust to minimal levels and simply used it to keep herself properly aligned with Murr so she did not need to bother with more than just getting them there. "I do not think I will ever get used to space walks like this." She spoke softly, hardly a hint of fear in her voice, but it was there.

"When you do. It time to start worrying." Murr liked that responce from her Instructor when she asked/messaged a question on that subject. "That's when mistakes happen." Sounding like a Veteran Space Walker. Thankful that she hadn't had time to mess with the Default voice produced by her suit. She was just as fearful as La'ta, with the added weight of more responcibilty.

Murr took it slower with fewer bursts to get speed up to a steady rate, then coasted with her guiding them across the void between ships, making correction for the drift of the Derelict to arrive on target. It was exhilerating and the weight of responcibility of her team's safety. Plus their cargo had to arrive intact also. To be used in the manner needed, not vaporized into atoms.

If it was her alone, she'd zipped across hotdogging it with acrobatics thrown in to show how brave she was. But with the responcibility and trust that La'ta showed her. She remained steady and let La'ta know what she was going to do and instruct her on her part to arrive at their destination.

Syaboa smiled as she entered the air lock after the doors reopened meaning that the others had mad it into the EVA crossover, when she got inside she made sure that her suit was using the on board air supply and closed external air intake as well as checking the indicators to make sure the suit was vacuum ready.

When she was ready she started the process to start the vacuum and waited for the procees to complete.

Âmuso Ibâka Airlock

Hewid worked the controls and was satisfied by the initial response. When the airlock started to cycle to allow them entrance. He noted however that the process took approximately twice as long as it should under normal circumstances. He turned to the Tin-To'a, "Sar, ship's power must be close to reserves level. Ship operations are in conservation mode." He said, and then stepped into the airlock and waited.

Toidorno stepped into the lock or almost floated in, it was as the Bajao'a said. The gravity in the airlock was barely present. Not quite zero g but perhaps only a tenth at the moment. Once inside the lock he activated the system to cycle them in. The hissing sound of introduced atmospheric gases filled the airlock fading as the pressure approached near normal. The inner door unlocked and he opened the hatch. The door slid slowly out of the way and he carefully walked out into the corridor. His first impression was that it was dark, most of the ceiling lighting was off, whether due to damage or conservation he was not sure. The emergency lighting on the rails was activated but it fluctuated in intensity. He looked at his helmet display, it showed that the interior temp of the ship was 40 degrees, tolerable but not comfortable. It showed that the air was breathable as well. He activated his helmet lamp and looked around. "Bajao'a, interface at the nearest terminal. See if you can get a status on the ship systems." he said.

Hewid moved quickly briefly launching himself in the low gravity but his backpack helped to bring him back to the floor in a controlled fashion. He opened a data junction port and connected his datapad too it. However, the pad did not establish a connection as it should have. He pressed the intercom panel above and a series of squeals and static were all it produced He turned back to Toidorno, "Sar, the light wire system is non-responsive, intercom system is damaged. It is possible that the core connections are working but I would need to access them from somewhere like engineering or the bridge.

"Once the others arrive, you and I will make our way to the bridge."

EVA Cross Over

As La'tâ and Murr got closer to the drifting ship, their helmets showed a number of objects drifting between them. The objects were obviously debris from the ship and possibly the one that attacked them. At their present speed their armor would protect them, the container would probably also be fine.

They could see from where they were that the first members of the away team had entered the ship.

Air Lock

The pumping sound of the airlock pulling the air out of the lock started as soon as Syaboa pressed the switch. Minor creaks could be heard by Memi and her as their armor adjusted to the change in pressure. Their heads up displays showed the falling airpressure. Once it reached zero, the lights in the airlock switched off and the door started opening. Beyond the doorway was the faint glow of the nebula and the stricken craft floating in the distance.

La'tâ continued to follow Murr's lead as they drifted across, but seeing the debris show up got her really nervous. She could have weaved through them and taken a few light taps if she wasn't holding anything. But they instead were carrying a cargo container filled with explosives of all things. She could just continue one but she wasn't sure about how sturdy the containers were, so she used her free arm to lightly bat away debris as they passed through, doing her best to make sure nothing hit the container. "I suppose you're right, better to be cautious than reckless."

As they entered the debris field, Murr shoved what she could out of the way, or defelected it onto a new path away from them. Hearing La'ta, she gave the 'affirmitive' hand guesture to La'ta. Keeping one hand on the container between them as she cleared a path to the air lock.

Murr used her thrusters to slow down on approach to the Derelict. She used heavier burst of thrust to slow the container and herself and La'Ta down. "You use light braking thrust." Directing La'ta through the braking manuevers to land then just slightly off to the side of the airlock. "Activate magnetics to hold you in place." Murr let the container float with La'ta as she bent over to begin the cycling of the Airlock on the derelick to allow them access into the ship.

Once the proceedure began. Murr regained contact with her end of the container. Murr straightened up and took a good look around her. Seeing the various sizes of debri from the Derelict she stood on and a few odd pieces that didn't belong.

La'tâ followed Murr's directions when they began the approach, trying her best to sync up her breaking thrust with her's so that nothing would go wrong. She landed softly with her guidance and then took hold of the container herself to let Murr handle the air lock, still making sure to keep debris away from them. Using her sensors on her armor she tried to determine just what some pieces used to be, or at least some possibilities, she was hoping they weren't all from the ship and that it did some damage to whoever attacked it as well.

When Syaboa left the airlock she slowly glided to the other ship using the jets of the armour to make sure she stayed in the right direction as she slowly drifted her way towards the ship, realising she needed to be there quickly she added a bit more thrust making sure she didn't hit into any big peices of debries.

Memi followed Syaboa out the air lock, making sure he was recording. The view was memorizing. Maybe someday he'd try to paint it. It was then he noticed Syaboa speeding up, so he fired his jets a bit more. With his eva skills he was able to only bounce off a few of the larger objects as he fought to keep up.

Meanwhile...

Space, Near the Yome Ismâopate

The was the ripple of energy as a small wormhole appeared not far from the port side of the WAP gunship, and from its depths the bulky form of a HS-SS2-1a Ytaqo'a (Gatherer) - Class Ship began to emerge into view. As the tunnel drives powered down and the FTL path they created began to collapse within a moment, the transport hailed the Yome Ismâopate's bridge with a confirmation to an earlier transmission that they were here to drop off some fresh personnel and supplies as requested.

Inside, a newly minted Sâvyjo by the name of Miali Syavis was quivering with excitement as the announcement came that they would be unloading shortly to the Yome Ismâopate. Not that the Tuoro was ungrateful for the freighter ride to her first big gig as an Âdornorpa'a aboard the vessel, but this place was probably more boring than The Pens. The quarters were cramped too, and on top of that the bunkmate crewman she was rooming with was always trying to steal her mix tapes! At least she got to stretch her paws a little bit with dancing for the other people making the journey, and chatting with the Silver Moon sect to pass the time was interesting. No clues about her parents though...

But that was quickly lost in the shuffle of preparations. Her grey tail flicked back and forth as she used it to stuff some last minute items in her bag, making sure it was all accounted for. A quick glance in the mirror made sure her standard issue uniform was looking good against her black striped grey fur, as she soon would be meeting the Tin-Ta'a. Miali smiled and swished open the door with a flourish, stepping lightly into the corridors leading ultimately off the Ytaqo'a. The cord of her sashblade made its own sort of rythm as it tapped from her hip into the luggage she was carrying and back -- Tinka-tinka-tonk, tinka-tinka-tonk -- all the way down the Interconnect, passing windows that showed the Yome Ismâopate looming larger.

Syaboa slowed down for Memi then looked around as she travelled with the other, she was too tied u in her past to remember that there was someone with her and she felt stupid for not realising it sooner "I am sorry, just thinking about something that happened, I am sorry that I ignored you for a while" she continues to move forward this time protecting her ally and herself from the derbries.

Yome Ismâopate - Airlock

Tigar stood inside the airlock watching the transfer of personnel. Behind them in the docking module two other crew members from the Ytaqo'a-class crew were carrying containers with additional medical equipment to augment the ship's medical capacity. He reviewed his datapad regarding Miali records. The ship was going to finally have a dedicated pilot for their shuttles. A good addition in his opinion. He cycled the outer door to make the entry quicker.

Âmuso Ibâka - Airlock

The outer door cycled opened giving Murr and La'tâ easy access to the interior. Across their armor's comm system Toidorno's voice came" Whenever you gelha are through sight seeing, we have work to do in here."

Amuso Ibaka - Airlock

Murr entered the airlock with the crate of explosives and La'Ta's medical pack, She manuevering the two containers to give room for La'ta to enter the Airlock to be cycled through. It was a tight fit, not as roomy as the Yome Ismaopate's. But then this type of ship wasn't expected to be carrying heavily combat armored troops.

Murr waited patiently for the Airlock to cycle, she checked out the door into the ship proper to see if it was going to be a problem in getting the container through.

Âmuso Ibâka - Airlock

La'tâ followed after Murr, climbing into the air lock and sighed. She was about to say something but then Toidorno came in over the comms. "We are pressurizing the air lock as we speak Sar." She detached the container for the medical kit to make things a bit easier to move the explosives through the door.

Yome Ismâopate - Airlock

Miali moved briskly through the airlock security checkpoint and gave the large Tigar a bright smile in return to his nod of approval as he sped up the loading procedures for her and the cargo. She hadn't been here for more than a minute and already the sense of welcoming and comraderie aboard the vessel was apparent. Of course her first urge was to do some sightseeing of the main deck, but the pilot fought to stifle that urge . There would be plenty of time to get acquainted with the Yome Ismâopate's scenery and shuttles when her introduction with the big guy was concluded, after all. To that end, Miali grabbed the attention of a few workers mulling about (which wasn't hard for her to do) and inquired about which was the best way was to see the Tin-Ta'a... once informed she made her way there promptly with a bounce in her step.

Âmuso Ibâka

The airlock completed its filling and the interior door started to open as soon as Toidorno hit the switch. "Move the container over into the corner and secure it. Be careful gravity systems are a minimal."
