RP: Yome Ismâopate [Mission 2.0] Spirits in the dark

Deck 2 - Corridor

La'tâ could roughly figure what it was that Murr was going for, she could see the unease in her gestures. She herself wanted to head to a position where she felt safe from all that was going on and the best place for that was where the explosives were located. So La'tâ followed after her closely, keeping her weapon ready and hopping that everything was alright. However things did not go as smoothly as the Tula would hope.

The Collision Alarm was going off and the ship's bulkheads were closing to prepare for possible hull breaches and minimize the damage. This meant they were going to be entirely separated from the crew with no radio contact and a possible threat on board. Things just kept getting worse and worse, and La'tâ was not the least bit excited about it.

Deck 2

Murr's velocity had her slide into the side of the container before she could stop. It was readily apparent that someone or something had been rummaging around in the container. Several items of the demolitions were strewn about the floor. A survey of the contents and the stuff tossed around would show that none of the explosives were taken, but one of the three first aid kits was unaccounted.

La'tâ could hear the isolation doors locking into place. Access between the two decks was now limited to one area, provide someone could get into Engineering. She would also notice something that Murr in her frantic race would not. On the corridor floor were several empty Giana'alio packets.

Hewid approached the door to Engineering. He watched as the isolation door began to cover the door. He threw himself against the wall on his knees and put his hands up. He keyed the suit to full musculature. The isolation door stopped when it hit his hands. He pushed against it feeling the armor strain against the door. After about 30 seconds the isolation door rose back into the ceiling.

He turned to Miali. 'Thank goodness for safety failsafes. The isolation doors abort sealing if there is an obstruction."

Deck 1

The knife actually slid out of the control panel without issue. The carbon blade did not seem to have shorted the panel. There were markings on the blade that looked like someone had crudely carved them into it. The door to the Kynlumu'a cabin unlocked once the blade was clear.

Miali didn't hesitate to take off after Hewid, once the realization of what was happening set in. She dialed up the power setting to full on the suit and with the added juice even a simple leap and run felt like it was the firing of a bullet. "Whoa!" she cried, as the Touro had a bit of trouble stopping the momentum once it began, and ended up crouching into a slide that took her straight under the small isolation door opening next to him. The engineer seemed to have it well in hand though with his knowledge of the ship's systems and the strength his armor, and the door barely touched her hands for more than a few seconds before sliding back up. Miali grinned, "Good save -- seems you've got brains and brawn," as she tried cycling the now unobstructed door to the engineering section.

Deck 1

Syaboa stays guard covering the guy's back "hey listen sorry about before just forget everything I said, I am still learning to socialise so I am sorry for saying all of that" she looked down "I was trying to think of something that would help you, guys like that sort of thing I have heard." she didn't look at him and kept concentrating to deal with anyone who try to attack them, she hated this weird ghost thing, something she couldn't attack was not what she liked it meant that her skills weren't as good.

Deck 2

Wham!!

Sound of her impact reverberated throughout the corridor. Murr knowing the inventory of what.s in the crate from looking it over earlier, purred despite being shaken up from the impact. At least theses 'Ghost' hadn't taken anything that would end up harming the Yome Team.

Murr rapidly gathered up the explosives and related gear. Putting it neatly back in the crate as she inventoried it against her copy. She suspected that the static on channels was some sort of jamming that would also render the radio remote command detonation system inoperable.

When everything was back in the container, minus what was missing from it. Murr looked at La'ta, hand signed to La'ta. ["please don't tell me that the exta medkits are missing?"].

La'tâ flinched as Murr crashed into the container, heading over quickly to make sure she was alright. As Murr pulled herself up and started inventorying and repacking the explosives, La'tâ rose her rifle and scanned the surrounding area making sure nothing sneaked up on then. The quantity of Giana'alio tubes present was strange though, she was fairly certain those were not there before and one person eating that much would be weird.

Seeing Murr sign she gave a soft nod. "It looks like one of the extra first aid kits is missing. We might be dealing with someone injured. Possibly a group based on the Giana'alio tubes laying around. She spoke up sounding cautious.

Engineering Door Deck 2

Hewid turned towards Miali. "Brains yes. As for brawn the armor provided that. Now let's see about getting this door open. The control panel was darkened. Hewid decided that expedience was the order of the time.

Kneeling down, he sunk the Dahome's claws into the panel where the door mechanisms were located. Pulling both arms apart the metal tore with a loud screech. Which reverberated through the halls of the deck. He then pulled the chunks of metal out of the way and reached in. It took him less than a minute to find the manual lock and disengage it.

He stood up. "If you would grab the other side of the door, we should with the suit's power be able to override the pneumatics." He then grabbed the right door panel and started pushing the door towards the pocket where the door normally recessed.

Deck 1

Once the blade was out Memi held onto it and hit the door open button as he looked up and back to Syaboa. "Which ever you like..." He smiled behind his helmet glass before looking back to the door well. The smell was really getting bad in his suit. He made a mental note never to drink one of those damned energy drinks again...

Deck 1

Syaboa smiled and nodded "okay then, the one thing I know I will do is bath you when we get back because you seem like you really need it" she turned to the door "shall we go in and find out what is in there?" She doesn't look at Memi and had a small smile on her face "I hope I will work with you again, you seem like a interest man" she let out a small noise that she had no idea what it was and was shocked that she made such a noise "I am sorry for that noise, I don't know what that was."

Engineering Door Deck 2

Miali watched as the Bajao'a ripped into the nonfunctional control panel, and that which she had tried to manipulate to no effect a moment before was now torn to shreds. She then shrugged for a moment to Hewid in acknowledgement of his modesty, "I suppose, but the best strength comes from teamwork." She then took up a position opposite to him and likewise grabbed the left door panel and began pushing with the Dahome's added power behind it to forcefully 'persuade' it into the other recess. Moving in such a way simultaneously they were somewhat akin to a mirror's reflection, the artisticness of it not entirely lost on the dancer.

Engineering Door

With the two Dahome clad members of the team forcing the doors into the wall the pneumatics groaned and creaked but the slowly with drew. After a few minutes of this the doorway was clear. One final push and Miali and Hewid heard an audible click indicating that the door was locked.

Hewid looked around the room. There were some signs of damage but it was not catastrophic. "Well, this is promising. I need a few minutes to get control of the main console. Then I can see about restoring some of the systems if possible. First is going to be to withdraw the isolation doors. Then you can check the flitters." He crossed over to the main console and opened a panel in the side and attached his diagnostic equipment. The console illuminated as he entered a series of commands into the pad. After another minute the console emitted a series of tones. He stood up and tested the console.

"Okay, I have access. Pulling up the mains.... the brain has been disconnected from the primary network. That's not good. " he entered another set of commands. The sounds of the isolation doors could be heard. "That should take care of the lock down. "You should be free to check the flitter bay if you feel up to it."

Deck 2 : Airlock Section

Murr assembled a pack of explosives to take with her. She set that off to the side and secured the container. She put it in the airlock, making it harder for whomever was on the ship with them to access it. Once that was done, she opened the access panel and removed several control boards, thus effectively locking the remaining explosive and gear into the Airlock for later recovery.

With evidence that they was dealing with real flesh n blood beings. Murr settled down and was ready to play 'hide-n-go-seek'. Turning to La'ta and communicated with her using her silent language of the body.

["Ghosts don't need Medkits. We will move to join those on the bridge. Anyone hindering our progress, we'll deal with them on a case by case bases. Follow my lead if it comes to fighting. Simply kill them to show we mean business. If they want to surrender. We'll give them the opportunity. Otherwise... Its no mercy shown!"] The last was with sharp movements to show strong emphases.

Even with Murr's aggressive stance, she was worried about the consequences of her decision. But when the time came she would face it, but now she had the safety of La'ta and herself to worry about till they joined up with the Senior of the team aboard the derelict.

Murr gave one final checks on herself and gear. Then checked La'ta out to makes sure he wouldn't lose anything and was ready.

La'tâ was still nervous either way, flesh and blood or ghost, it still meant there was an enemy on the ship, and that she might have to fight. Fighting was never her specialty, she knew the basics and how to operate the weapons, but she was a Tula, she could easily be over powered by a Qaktoro in close quarters, and it was not like her reflexes were anything special for the clan. If there was anything about her that was to be considered 'good' for a outright fight it would be her precision.

She gave a nod to Murr's instructions, making sure the medical equipment she was carrying was secure on herself and keeping her rifle ready. "There are only a few places on the ship where we'll be able to change between decks of the ship, and those are facilities that take up multiple decks, also engineering should have an override for the compartmentalization." She did not know this specific ship well, but she was part of the Silver Moon sect after all, she knew the basic method for designing clan ships and their emergency procedures, assuming they were still operating with factory settings.

Deck 2 Airlock

From the darkness a small voice spoke. "Sari are either of you Wapoin'a. My friend is hurt badly."

Engineering

Miali stood watch over Hewid as he reasserted control over some of the damaged vessel's systems and made progress at removing the barriers that had been put up. Though when he mentioned the brain was disconnected from the network, she couldn't help but come closer to the now illuminated console to take a peek at what the display said. Miali wondered aloud to the engineer, "Now why do you think they'd do such a thing? You wouldn't unplug the Jodau Sumanâjo unless there was a serious malfunction... or else we're looking at intentional sabotage to hide something."

She gazed around the corner to the flitter bay to see if the door indeed was unblocked and free of hostiles, though the Âdornorpa'a hesitated a moment to hear what kind of theory Hewid might have before departing on her own solo investigation. Even if she was headstrong, the young Tuoro knew that safety existed in numbers and she wouldn't want to get caught just in case the isolation protocol initiated again.

Deck2 Airlock

La'tâ jumped slightly and then snapped around, waving her rifle about as she scanned the surroundings. "Who said that?" She spoke up, not even realizing the question in her fear, only realizing there was a possible threat near by.

Deck 2 Airlock

"Do not shoot me." A baqli wearing stained and torn clothes cried out as it dropped to the floor. The bagli had what appeared to be white fur with brown stripes.

Engineering

Hewid scanned the ship's system logs from the local copy. "There is no indication of any malfunction with the Jodau. All system reports were nominal until the data feed was cut." He turned and walked over to a panel in the wall. It was slightly ajar and opened easily when he pulled on it. Inside was a mess of wiring. "Well that answers that. This was intentional sabotage."

He walked over to the Sumanâ-a Tyokanorjopa. He adjusted a few of the controls and the reactor responded. Indicators on the power distribution started rising.

He returned to the engineering console and shut down the external comm system. He then activated his suit's comm. "Tin-To'a, we have gained access to the Engineering section. There is damage that appears to be sabotage. Until I can repair the connectivity to the Jodau I can only bring some of the systems on line. Since I have to control them manually. I'm going to restore environmental first." he looked over at Miali, "Here comes gravity, heat and air." his fingers slid across the controls moving upwards. The eerie silence of the ship was soon filled with the normal background sound of the air distribution fans.

"I have plenty to do here. Go check the flitter bay. Leave the door open so we can talk.

"Do not shoot me." A baqli wearing stained and torn clothes cried out as it dropped to the floor. The bagli had what appeared to be white fur with brown stripes.

Murr heard the exchange and saw a something move, from the corner of her eye. Spinning and aiming her weapon at the Baqli. Seeing it was unarmed, lifted the weapons barrel up towards the ceiling

Murr let La'ta deal with this one since she responded first to the Baqli. It was good she was teamed up La'ta or at least someone who could speak and was battle tested.

Engineering -> Flitter Bay

It seemed the latter of her musings was true after all, and evidence of sabotage was now quite apparent. It did not reassure her that she was correct though, as it only further served to deepen the mystery surrounding what exactly happened to the vessel. There was indeed a story it was trying to tell them, but there were as yet many missing pieces... and the time was right to let Hewid work on unraveling that now from his secure position. "Roger that, Sar," came Miali's reply as she now cycled the door leading to the vehicle launch area on the lower deck, taking care to keep it open for the duration. Rifle at the ready she peered inside, hoping that the Vona'oâ that should be there was in better working order than what she had seen up until this point.

La'tâ lowered her weapon at seeing the young one, she was somewhat confused now a WAP ship should not have such a small child on board. "What are you doing here? It's dangerous." She knelt down to the baqli and patted them on the head trying to calm them down a little.
