RP: Yome Ismâopate [Mission 2.0] Spirits in the dark

Deck 2 Airlocks

"This ship is my home. My friend is hurt so I came out of hiding to try and find medical supplies. Then I saw you two. You are not dressed like the others." she said slowly sitting up and cradling one of the missing medical kits.

Flitter Bay

When Miali stepped into the bay a moment later several of the lights flickered on. There were two Vona'oâ present in the bay. One of them was heavily damaged. Weapon scores covered the surface of the craft, and at least one engine was damaged. There were tool kits nearby and some of the hull sections had been repaired indicating that someone had been trying to repair it. The second Vona'oâ externally appeared to be intact.

Deck 2 Airlock

Murr looked at La'ta. She had the same appearance as herself, same load out with the exception of her medical kit with medical symbol visible. While Murr, herself, looked like any standard Infantry with all the proper markings. She had a few extra pouches for stuff she needed for the mission at hand.

Murr fought the instinctive urge to retrieve the medical kit from the baqli. It was up to La'ta to decide on that. But for now, it was a sign of trust on her part to gain trust of the baqli and those that were stranded on the Derelict of Amosa Ibaka.

Deck 2 Airlock

La'tâ was not the least bit sure of this situation. There was possibly a traitor on board and everyone could be a threat, but did she really need to be concerned over a child? There was no way a child could do such cruel things. "What happened to your friend, how were they injured and where are they?" There was concern in her voice as well, before she was a soldier she was a medic, so hearing that someone was injured was always worrying.

Flitter Bay

The Âdornorpa'a stalked around the two docked shuttles in the flitter bay carefully in the increasing light, taking note of their conditions. She found it interesting that someone was obviously alive on the ship, having recently attempted to repair the one that was damaged from the signs of a firefight. In its current state it was still risky to operate, however, seeing as one good engine was likely not going to give enough juice to clear the ship and surrounding debris field safely. She chose instead, then, to focus on the one that was intact and appeared undamaged. Why one would be scored and the other immaculate she was not sure, but this was likely the best chance they had of getting off the derelict at the end of the day.

As she approached the second shuttle, Miali touched the Mâqitua'tomin metal canopy once with her fingers, running them along it for an inch or so as was her tradition to do before any boarding. It was a form of greeting to the flitter, a bit of a pilot's superstition that if one did not show the ship the proper respect it would make for an unfortunate flight later on --and that was the last thing she wanted right now. It seemed particularly interesting when the surface was touched by the powered armor she was wearing as the latent electrical field in the hands of the Dahome was enough to render that small spot she contacted with transparent qualities for a brief moment.

That little ritual completed, it was time to see what was inside...

Deck 2 Airlock

"My name is Sogi, my friend's name is Tota. She got shot by one of the others when they came on board. We hid in a lekaokâur while our crew fought the others. I heard my pialoa say that someone must have sneaked on board when we were on planet." she stood up slowly her tail absolutely still. She wiped her face with the back of her paw. "The piai are dead aren't they. The others killed them all didn't they." She asked with a pleading expression, a bit of hope that somehow some of the crew might be alive. "The lekaokâur is just around the corner. " She started moving down the corridor.

Flitter Bay

The damage to the flitter was not from small arms fire. It was definitely weapon damage from a fighter or a starship. The skid marks on the bay deck was indicative that the flitter had made an emergency landing.

The second flitter had no sign of damage, the only markings were the standard ones indicating it belonged to the ship. It was parked with its bow facing the door per standard policy. A soft hum could be picked up by the Dahome indicating that the flitter was on secondary power.

Deck 2 Airlock - Lekaokaur

Murr nodded to La'ta to show she was ready. Alert for any danger, Murr followed Sogi, looking ahead and about corridor for any signs of treachery. She resumed the mapping the route they was taking to meet up with Sogi's group. At least with Sogi being small, Murr could see over her.

Murr signed to La'ta. ["Ask about the invaders. If they was our kind or an alien species."] She didn't like the idea of stowaways. They were a nuisance to ship crews. Even in the vids she watched as a kitten, stowaways were always the bad guys to bring ruin to a ship.

Flitter Bay

As she felt the unusually weak impulse through the armor suit's systems that indicated the flitter was not at full power, and took a second glance at the damage on the other vehicle that was obviously from ship-to-ship combat, a theory of Miali's own began to form. If this little song of betrayal was continued... then it was possible someone had been trying to prevent the return of this first Vona'oâ to its mother ship, perhaps even using the clan's own on board weapons to target it. And if what happened with the main reactor of the ship was repeating itself, then the second Vona'oâ was very likely to have had its Âmanus Tyokanorjopa reactor taken offline in order to prevent escape...

The usually upbeat Tuoro frowned a moment at the prospects of who could have done such a shameful thing to their own clansmen and for what purpose? Perhaps it was instead pirates or aliens. Miali could be completely wrong, too, but it didn't stop her from going onboard the flitter immediately to test her theories. She reached out instinctively for the back of the Buvoli Vyma'te chair and swiveled her lithe figure defty behind the flight control panel, keeping her rifle propped up close by within reach. Her grey furred paws began rapidly keying in commands for complete flight diagnostics on the Anti-Hydrogen reactor and all linked generator sub-systems, while her armored prehensile tail reached behind to hit the adjustable lamp closer with an audible *tink*.

Deck 1

Rolling his eyes, Memi walked into the quarters and dropped into the chair before the console. "I need a bit of time to download all the data, seal the door and get comfortable..." he plugged his data drives into place and started punching in his coding for his position.

As the computer started working he set the knife onto the table and looked it over idly.

Deck 2 Airlock

La'tâ followed after Sogi, keeping her own weapon at the ready as well. Noticing Murr's signals she nodded and looked to the child "Sogi, what do you know about the people that attacked the ship? Were they from the clan? Or a different species?" She wasn't sure which one would really be better, but at least if they were clan members she would know what kind of equipment to expect from them.

Kynlumu'a Cabin

The room had a sense of organized chaos. There were cabinets and shelves along left wall. The bed that would normally be in that area had been replaced with a worktable. On the shelves were an extensive collection of books, and scrolls. An easel was positioned between the two closets, an unfinished planet landscape as on it.

On the worktable was a scattering of paper documents, a Mako'sa Jodausa and three Mako'sa Kyn. The worktable had a computer terminal integrated into it.

On the display a message appeared. Unable to access primary archive. Repository offline. Accessing local records.

Lekaokaur

Sogi stopped by a panel that opened into one of the ship's Lekaokaur. "The piai said that they were Poku. But why would they attack a ship of the clan. They were on the planet we were surveying. Tota and I were gathering plant samples. When the Tin-To'a ordered everyone to stop what they were doing and get back to the ship. When the last of us were in the Âmuso Ibâka they took off. One of the Dyet'una report it was under fire. They had to land while the ship was climbing."

She bent down and pulled the panel. "Tota, there are some people here that I think can help us." she reached in with both arms and then pulled her wounded friend from the Lekaokaur. It was apparent that Tota had been shot in the upper leg. An improvised blood soaked bandage made from someone's clothing was wrapped around it.

Flitter Bay

The Âdortin'sa power diagnostics came up quickly and line by line the status appeared:

Lekaokaur

La'tâ listened to Sogi, piecing together the events that happened on the ship while she followed. When she saw Tota however all that went on pause as she took the baqli and sat them down, extending their leg. The first thing she did was open up her medical kit and pull out the scanner, to check over the injury, she wanted to know if the projectile was still in there, as well as if there was infection before she removed the bandage, she didn't know how much blood was already lost so she wanted to have the wound exposed for as short a period as possible.

Lekaokaur

The amount of blood soaked into the cloth was a good indicator that a significant blood vessel was damaged. The scanner showed that the wound was a through and through, with a minor fracture of the leg bone.

Kynlumu'a Cabin

The terminal provided Memi with an inventory of the available data. There were a number of data files dated from a few days earlier. Then a male voice came from behind him. "They disabled the Tinvyma Movidoanor. Our turrets are offline.... they a boarding..."

Kynlumu'a Cabin

Frowning at the display Memi set it to start downloading what data was available. as the computer started working He stood to start gathering what scrolls and books he could carry, but stopped when the voice started speaking up. Memi's eyes locked onto Syaboa's. He froze in fear and fought the urge to throw up again. It was starting to become a losing battle when he spoke up. "Are... are they talking about us?"

Deck 2 Lekaokaur

Murr stood watch while the two talked and as La'ta went to work on Tota. Eyes narrowed as her job became tougher. Two innocents in the deadly game of greed and ship piracy. She was going to need help. She looked over the corridor they was in, looking for a way to get that help.

Unsure of what to do, Murr just provided security for La'ta to work on Tota without distractions. She gave Sogi a gentle squeeze on the shoulder to let the Baqli know that Tota was in good paws. She switched her visor from mirror to transparency to make herself more friendly in appearance.

She had to struggle with her mother's instinct and being a soldier to gain the confidence and trust of Sogi, without hindering the budding foundation of trust that was building between them. She had so many questions springing forth to ask, yet the timing was off at the moment. She wished she was in the old Stako that she was familiar with.

Murr took meal stock of gear she always carried with her. She smiled when realizing she had her HS-PE4-1a Mako'sa Kyn (Data Pad) on her. She pulled it out and activated it. Clearing the screen she typed in her message.

::I am Murr Whisk and this is La'ta, the one working on your friend. Is there a way we can get in touch with the others that came with me? ::

She showed Sogi the message. Hoping that Sogi could read.

Deck 2 Lekaokaur

La'tâ was somewhat relieved to see that the bullet went all the way through, it meant that she wouldn't have to pull it out and risk opening the wound further. Now she made preparations, first getting an injector ready, it had pain medication in it as well as a diluted coagulant, she did not want him clotting too much, but she was going to need to expose the wound so she didn't want to have him bleed out. After injecting the mixture into Tota, she prepared new bandages and her medical scanner.

She waited roughly a minute to have the medications begin taking effect and then undid the bandage on the baqli's leg, using her medical scanner to emulate a cellular stimulator. The scanner was not designed primarily for radiant healing treatment, so with it's limited ability, the Wapoin'a decided to focus on reattaching and closing blood vessels so that the boy would not bleed out. She tried to make idle chatter with the boy while doing this so that he was not too nervous or scared.

Though it would take some time, once finished with that La'tâ applied the fresh bandage and then gave Tota and anti infection pill. "This should help, but we need to get you back to the ship infirmary, my senior will be able fix your leg up. But till then you have to be a good baqli and do what we say so we can make sure you get out of here safely."

Deck 2 Lekaokaur

Sogi read the message that Murr gave her. The baqli pondered the problem, then her face lit up when she remembered something. She moved down the hallway and opened an Ânamusme Wunyasa. She took a device out of it and came back to Murr. She held it up. "This is a self powered intercom unit. If you attach it to a intercom unit you can call any station on the ship. It can only work with one station at a time though."

Tota watched as La'tâ worked on his injury. His eyes glazed slightly as the pain medication took effect.
"What.... ssssship... arrrre... you with?" she asked slurringly.

Deck 2 Lekaokaur

Murr gently took the unit from Sogi and attached it to her suit. Using the cyber-connection and connecting with bridge intercom. By-passing the jamming, was able to communicate by suit generated voice.

>"Sasavyjo'ka Sejgui, Savyjo'sa Whisk. Met up with two Amusa Ibaka baqli. Sar Qoji treating one from boarders induced attack on the Ibaka. Attempted take-over with help from a stowaway. Using Amuso Ibaka Anamusme Wunyasa mobile unit 254. Will be returning to Wapoin Rou'sa. It would be greatly appreciated for extra personnel to help with securing the baqli."< Came the mechanical default voice over the bridge's Anamusme Wunyasa speakers.

Murr finished and once again smiled at Sogi. Switching to suit external speakers, >"Sar Sogi, thank you. You've provided great help and hopefully we can return you and your friend to your kin safely."<

Murr hated to use voice as it took concentration to the connection between herself and suit to speak to others. Distracting her from her job in providing security for the three others and herself.

Deck 2 Lekaokaur

"We are crew members of the Yome Ismâopate, you do not have to worry." She turned and looked to Murr who just got finished speaking. "We can try the Wapoin' Rou'sa here, but I'm not sure if power will be working on a table mounted unit." Now that Tota's injury was taken care of, La'tâ packed her supplies and reattached it to her suit, then she picked up Tota, a feat that would normally hinder her greatly, but with the suit it was easy. Carrying the baqli was more appropriate in this situation, as they could move faster this way.

"We're counting on your protection Murr." La'tâ was not totally defenseless however, she still had her tail laser that she could use in emergencies, she just wished he had more practice with it.

Flitter Bay

"Qopo... just as I feared," growled Miali as the readout indicated that the critical component for the primary power was missing. Achieving sufficient power for the Tinvymai Tyokame drives to propel a full load of passengers and salvaged cargo back to the Yome would be nearly impossible without a functioning anti-hydrogen containment module. The frustrated Âdornorpa'a began to rack her brain for a solution to this new hurdle -- normally protocol would dictate that a new module be retrieved from the storage, one of which was always kept on hand for emergencies. She instinctively went to check this avenue first as it was the safest way to make the repair, though there was the very real chance the saboteurs, if they were smart, had already ensured these too were also missing or unusable.

As she started searching the racks one by one for the replacement Anti-Hydrogen Containment Module, the thought dawned on her that the first flitter may have arrived after the sabotage took place, and it would have been untouched. And, it was no longer fully spaceworthy due to the damage it sustained on the forced landing, so it was unlikely to even need to be crippled further for the intended effect of preventing escape. Though the Touro had never actually done so herself, a hot-swapping of power modules would certainly be in the realm of possibility... though she may need Hewid's assistance on such a task either way, as the major power plant maintenance of clan Vona'oâ was not exactly in her repertoire.

Deck 2 Lekaokaur - Wapoin' Rou'sa

Murr nodded as she looked over their little group. With La'ta handicapped and Sogi. She looked thoughtful as her visor once again darkened. She pointed out where each would be in order of march. Murr would take point with Sogi to her left and behind her. La'Ta bringing up rear in a diagonal line with her burden of Tota. ( | / | ) .

Once everyone was ready, they took off. Murr hyper-alert eyes darting around her and to any place that may contain a threat, even the ceiling came under scrutiny as they made slow progress back to the Ibaka's Wapoin' Rou'sa.

Murr even looked behind them, spinning around in a way that the business end of her rifle would not cross over La'ta and Tota.

Wapoin' Rou'sa

Murr motioned for La'ta to set down Tota to stand guard over Soga. To keep them there till she had a chance to move the dead bodies out of the way and out of sight. Murr entered the Wapoina Rou'sa and began moving the bodies to a secluded place after she took pictures of their location for future investigation and reports.
