Shocked a little like a cat who had been finally caught messing with the cookie jar, Kame demurely switch with Usaga and moved up the catwalk over to the station monitoring the power distribution of the ship, next to the capacitors. However she did not have time to dwell on the WARMS CFS integration, as soon, the monitors began flashing symbols of orange and red indicating fluctuations on three power grids. The area with the strongest fluctuations was the power grid that goes around the cargo bay, which was varying at around 180% its normal power load. The automatic systems were trying to compensate and were shunting the surplus power from that grid to nearby lower hull Secondary Weapons and the STL grid that was flashing in orange. The bay’s grid was alternating in read above and below the normal power, and this flux was growing in magnitude.
As the ship turned, thanks to the pilot, into its attack, Kame quickly retorted plunging all the conduits along the deck 4 maintenance corridor just after that corridor split off to go to the Turbo Aether Drives. Effectively, this would have shut down power to both the cargo bay and the vehicle bay but not the pylons and weapons systems on the wing and lower bay. However, soon other two grids became immediately red then back orange as she returned power back to the cargo bay. Wait a minute, cargo requires power for just the lights, the air conditioning, the monitors, doors, and tools, which nobody should be using. Nothing has really changed in the cargo hold except now there is—The Broken Piece of Mishhu Hull!!, Kame realized and felt like hitting herself for not initially noticing the obvious. By now, the flux growth had remained in the three grids but was also still compounding continuously by a lethal 1.33% each minute. In layman terms, the ship still had less than hour to either isolate Or solve this problem before all hell broke loose with blackouts.
Formulating a plan, Kame soon thus called Eternity, turned down to Usaga below, and called “Ittô Hei, I am sending a request to Eternity to see if she can confirm this with any still functioning security cameras that she might have in the cargo bay; however, I have reason to believe that whatever unknown mishhu tech the science officer procured wormed its way into the grid and is draining our power. If I am right then I suspect I can isolate this thing in a hell of its own greed though I’ll need some supplies from the nearby locker, clarify what is in armory and cargo bay, and probably the assistance of 1-2 extra people. This is becuase just need someone will probably need to grab something from armory with well smidgen more stopping or … better yet… more distracting power than pistols especially as we weld the the front door shut. So first is there any weapon and person you can suggest?”
Before she asked, Kame had already prepared the power distribution system by lowering, to only the most necessary levels for back up lights, doors, and refrigeration, the power going into the galley, warden room, recreation area. She also had narrowed down to the particular conduit, the system ready for her to route the new left over to both the outer power conduits on deck 4 maintenance tunnel wall and directly from engine room to the lower hull so that the system could still independently provide power to the engines.
Edit 1: fixed misspelling of Eternity (instead of Integrity) and some initial minor errors >>;
Edit 2: fixed the rest of the error so that it at least sounds readable by the computer's standards
