RP: Yome Ismâopate [Mission 2.2] Return and recover.

Wapoin Rousa

Murr listened to Jasqi and nodded to acknowledge her. Picking up the electronic notepad, she rapid fired typed: I will comply with the light duty:: Letting Jasqi read what she was typing.

Then her attention was drawn to the gentle grasp of Sogi. She gave Sogi's paw a gentle squeeze as a soft purr emitted from her. Using her free hand, she once again typed her response letting Sogi read as she typed: In 15 Tui'sa, I'll give you both a tour of the ship and show you yours quarters. If you want to wait 15 tui'sa ::

She fought to keep her expression neutral as she would get a ribbings from her friends and other crew members. A dozen excuses flew threw her mind to get out of showing the Baqlis the ship, but then she had already given her word and she wouldn't back out from the duty.

En Route to Wapoin Ruosa

Hearing that the two baqli were in the Wapoin Ruosa and knowing Murr was there as well, La'ta decided to head there herself, despite having some time she could still use to herself. She was sure that Jaqsi had done a great job and patched them all up, so there was no need to be worried, but she felt uneasy about having left them to Jaqsi while she took care of the data transfer.

She soon arrived at the Wapoion Ruosa, out of armor and walked in offering a slight bow as she entered. "Is everything going well?"

Wapoin Rousa

Murr looked up as her ears twitched to the familiar sound of La'ta. Seeing La'ta, gave her a big smile and a paw gesture that was equivalent to the thumb-up gesture. She was in good spirits as she laid there and felt like she belonged.

Typing quickly on the electronic notepad, : Please, could you swing by my den and get me a uniform. Please? : Then showed it to La'ta. Once again pride reared it's ugly head, she wasn't about to go about the ship in hospital garb. It was bad enough to have to come here in the first place.

Flitter Area

Miali returned Meopa's grin, and then glanced back to Dorgos, still finding it difficult to tell them apart. "Seems we are in the same boat, then, new recruits as green as a Tula's paws. But that just means more opportunities to write our own glorious stories together, hmm?" She gave him a playful wink of her purple eyes.

Though she wanted to stay and chat more, her fur was starting to get a bit uncomfortable being matted down in the tight suit beneath the Dahome's armored shell. The dancer as a rule liked to be free of restraints of any kind and despite its technology being a lot better than a Stakos, the suit was still more claustrophobic than her natural body. "It's been nice shooting the stardust with you flyboys, but I think it's time for me to bow out... this Dahome's starting to cramp my style, and the armorers need the data download from the expedition before the power cells run out."

She turned around now and started to head for the exit from the access ramp, before looking behind her shoulder for a moment. "Hit me up after duty hours if you want to chat," Miali added to both sets of the apaloas as she once again started to walk away, her prehensile tail swishing back and forth with the movement of her hips. It was almost a shame the armor hid most of her svelte figure from view, and her open-ended invitation to Dorgos definitely gave the Qaktoro or anyone else an excuse to try to see a little bit more of it.

Dorgos watched the way Miali moved in her Dahome, he wondered if she realized how well the armor conformed and conveyed her movements. He made a mental note to get to know her better.

As Miali passed through the door into the passageways. She would hear from the speakers of the hallway. A series of three long tones followed by a short one which repeated.

Dorgos looked at the others in the flitter bay. "Collision alert. Grab something hand hang on like kefqâ is calling for you." He grabbed onto the one of the wall bracings which all compartments normally had.

Meopa his eyes wide with fear leaped for the nearest brace and slid up to is on the floor. He grabbed with and held on for all he was worth.

Bridge.

Tasi was monitoring all the activity aboard his vessel, in so much as to keep himself focused while waiting to meet the brain from the Âmuso Ibâka.

His sensors detected a cascading energy surge coming from the damaged ship. He overrode the shield controls and initiated battle mode for the shields. He activated the Collision alarm and throughout the interior of the ship a series of three long tones followed by a short one which repeated. He activated the isolation panels through out the ship, and routed power to the Anoka Niuwuny'te in all compartments so equipped. In the fraction of a second that it took the Jodau to do all that, the Âmuso became an expanding ball of energy and debris. He then added his voice to the alerts. "Detonation detected aboard the Âmuso Ibâka, brace for impact."

On the bridge members who were seated did their best to secure their restraints. The shockwave of the explosion along with the debris that was the Âmuso slammed into the ship. The shields which were not fully engaged mitigated some of the destructive force. Anything not secured when the force hit the ship found itself tossed into the air as the ship rolled.

Wapoin Ruosa

Murr and Tota would find themselves suddenly restrained to their beds as the sound alerted. Sogi grabbed the sides of the bed that Murr laid on when the shockwave hit. The baqli unfortunately was tossed bodily into the wall.

La'tâ had made her way into the room and over to Murr's bed and was just about to reply to Murr as the alert went off. She quickly moved to secure herself some way so that she would not be sent flying. She was close to Sogi when she lost grip of the bed, of course she tried to grab her, but she was not that close, and simply couldn't reach. However La'tâ did not wait till after the warning was rescinded to check on Sogi once there was even a brief moment of stillness she rushed over to check on her.

Wapoin Rousa

There wasn't much Murr could do, except ride out the shockwave and hang on. She eve made the effort to grab Sogi also, but the restraints limited her reach. She winced at seeing Sogi impact with the wall. She fought the restraint to get free to lend La'ta a paw.

Yanga was about to speak up to cut off the inevitable challenge Alpin would give to Dorgos's almost hungry look when the alarm cut him off. Alpin went to the support beam with Dorgos and then glanced backwards and felt his heart drop into his stomach. Unfortunately for Yanga he was a bit slow about processing the alarm and by the time he went for something to hold onto it was too late. Alpin left the beam and tackled Yanga, they both vanished over the side of the walkway, Alpin just barely catching a hold of the edge and sinking his claws in to keep them from falling all the way to the floor below. When the ship stopped moving for a moment Yanga squeaked out "Sorry..." From where he was clinging to his brother's waist. Alpin just sighed and gave a shake of his head. He was going to need a shower apparently.

Yome

Throughout the ship systems were impacted by power surges. Lighting dimmed in some places, others the lighting blew out with pyrotechnic displays. The primary Heim Force Generators cut out as the ones dedicated to inertial compensation strained to protect those aboard. This left many of the crew without gravity.

The Yome shook like it was caught in a turbulent sea. But then the shaking faded and the ship sat still in space.

After a moment the Tin-Ta'a's voice came across the speakers. "All sections report status. Damage control teams report to Engineering. Report any injuries or casualties to the Wapoin Ruosa."

Wapoin Ruosa

The automatic restraints released.

Sogi laid curled up on the floor. She let out with a keening wail when she tried to move her arm. She stopped trying to move and just lay on the floor in pain. La'tâ would see that Sogi's left shoulder was at an unnatural angle.

Keyul picked himself up off the floor. Seeing that La'tâ was checking on Sogi, he went to check on Tota. "I'm fine, go help Sogi." the baqli said to him.

Jodau Ruosa

Potos picked himself up from the floor. He did a quick survey of the room, first to Tasi's chamber then the brain from the Âmuso. The platform he had it secured to had been grav locked to the floor so it had not moved. He grabbed a power cable and attached it to the brain casing. "Sorry, but I need to see to the ship. At least this will ensure your systems stay running.

He exited the room, and secured the door. He then started making his way to engineering on the deck below.

Jyaon Ruo'sa

Qaedas looked around at the bridge of the Yome. Personnel were helping each other to get back on their feet if they had been knocked off. He glanced at the view screen which was currently black.

"Tasi, you still with us." he called out.

"Yes, Tin-Ta'a. I am ready to respond to all orders." came the Jodau's voice.

"What happened to the Âmuso Ibâka."

"There were two small explosions in the Wunyli Gianaka just before the major detonation. They must have ruptured the containment system."

"Was it a malfunction." He asked but did not really expect a positive response.

"Negative Sar. Hewid Letes reported that the Wynyli Gianaka systems were all operating normally, and fully charged. The containment fields would have remained in place for over a year, and then they would have vented the anti-hydrogen before the collapse. This had to be deliberate. Perhaps an attempt to destroy any evidence, and or any ship that attempted to rescue." Tasi replied.

"Well, they failed in that. But I swear that when we catch the ohâi responsible. They will rue the day they chose to attack their fellow clan members."

"Sar," came from Toidorno. "Casualty reports are coming in. So far no fatalities, but the healers will be busy. We are dead in space until engineering determines what condition the primary systems are in."

Passageways

It was scarcely more than a moment between when the passageway door closed behind Miali and the three tone alarm started to sound throughout the ship, giving her sudden pause. "A collision warning? " she wondered aloud, recalling her training in standard warning klaxons and signals in space. It wasn't hard for her to reach for the nearest handhold, being still in her powered armor, but what the computer announced next right before the impact make her heart sink. "Those ohâi...!" she cursed at the saboteurs as the first big shockwave hit, and the Tuoro grit her sharp teeth in legitimate anger. Their shadowy enemies were trying on last ditch effort to stop their escape -- seemed they were not satisfied until everyone involved was torched just like the warrior they defeated. Ashen lips spoke no tales...

Her gyroscopic sensors on board indicated the sudden loss of gravity in the vessel, and she could only wonder what kind of damage the surprise attack had caused in Engineering. But Miali's first thought was to the working crews she had just left behind in the Flitter Bay, wondering if the four apoloas were alright. They had been in a bad spot with lots of heavy cargo that could have injured them if it was tossed about. Kicking in her damaged thruster pack for a quick second boost, she turned around in the passageway deftly and used her Dahome's strength to force the door leading back to the Gulvisa Ruonor open, which had begun to lose power.

The pilot couldn't help but find a certain deja vu in all of this -- the Yome had in some ways now become the Amuso Ibaka, as lights dimmed and sputtered. Of course, the big difference was that they were not like scared baqli left alone in the dark.

Flitter Area

Dorgos was probably inwardly pleased as he got another chance to see the armor-clad, mixed-blood beauty reenter the Flitter bay and look his and his brother's way for a fleeting moment to check on them. "Looks like we have a story to tell after all," she quipped as she shoved some of the loose cargo that had fallen out of the way, "Where are the other two?" It wasn't long before she got the answer to her question, though, hearing Yanga's squeak and the groaning of his brother from below. As Alpin's claws dug further into the catwalk floor of the docking plank from the weight of him and his apoloa, he suddenly felt another metallic paw grab a hold of his firmly and the image of Miali's violet eyes glowing a bit in the low-light. "Gotcha."

Dorgos watched Miali as she went to retrieve the other vonaâsiâi. He stood up slowly and then helped Meopa. Looking around at the chaos that the been created he counted himself fortunate. He had a number of bruises where stuff had hit him. But none of the injuries were life threatening. He walked over to where Miali was to help the others once she hoisted them up.

Meopa seeing the others shook his head and got to his feet. He made his way to one of the storage cabinets. He rummaged through the mess until he found a first aid kit.

Wapoin Rousa - Ship

Once released, Murr was gone in a shot once she had seen La'ta taking care of Sogi. Hospital gown or not, Murr was moving through the Ismaopate, lending a paw as she came upon those needing help as if she never had been injured. Full throttle. Helping to move debris out of the way, salvaging what could be salvage. Making sure the routes to the infirmary were passable. Adding her two cents to the organized chaos in getting the ship back in-shape.

As she worked, keeping her ears perked and listening to the scuttle-tail (scuttlebutt), found out that the Ibaka had exploded. She bared her teeth in a silent growl. She was thankful she took the time to get them samples. Forensic Science would play a big part in bringing the culprits to justice. But now she focused on her work in helping to get the Yome Ismaopate shipshape. She hope there was none too seriously injured, catching glimpse of those being escorted, carried past her. Giving silent thanks that none were of her teammates being sent to the infirmary. But it still sadden her to see others of the ship being sent there.

She reached out, when time permitted, to squeeze a shoulder, or give a pat to show they had her prayers for a speedy recovery, not caring if they was her detractors or not. They was part of the Ismaopate, just as she was.

Wapoin Ruosa

When La'tâ reached Sogi she had a worried expression on her face. Kneeling down to the baqli she as gently as possible felt her shoulder, trying to examine if it was broken or dislocated. "Take deep breath's Sogi. I know it hurts, but it's going to be okay, I'll patch you up right away."

Wapoin Ruosa

La'tâ would see that Sogi's shoulder was in fact broken. But it appeared to be a fairly clean break which would be easy to treat. "Thank you, I've had broken bones before. But this hurts a lot worse. I trust you though."

Nyora'a Ruo'sa

Potos entered the room to find Hewid working to pick up the scattered tools. He walked to the console and entered his code. "I'm going to run a complete diagnostic." He then looked at the technician, "Hewid go to the Wunyli Gianaka and check on the containment fields."

A few minutes later the diagnostic results scrolled by. It was not good, but it could have been very worse. He activated the intercom and connected to the bridge.

"Kasâvyjo Kehula, to Bridge. We have good news and bad news. Main power is offline, the backups kicked in. Should not be any problem restoring it. Propulsion systems were untouched. So once we get main power back, we can get underway. The Anoka Udano is fine, so we can tunnel if that is your wish.

The bad news is the Anoka Wotanu'pa are a real mess. At best we could get 35% coverage if we brought them online. The best way to repair them is a space port. We don't have the parts and even if we did, with our limited crew it would take a lot longer. Like wise the
Udano Rotyka Sakopa is offline. At least 36 hours to get it back online."

Bridge

Qaedal listened to the report. "Understood, get the mains online and we will make way for the nearest space port." he replied to Potos.

He then looked at the communications technician. "Once we have full power, send a report to Command. Advise them that we have sustained serious damage and will need time in a repair yard."

"Qo, Sar." the Tula replied.

Yome Ismaopate:

Murr worked diligently till one of the Non-Coms gave her a direct order to get in uniform. Which gratefully accepted as she was getting a bit sore from the stress of lifting debris and putting them in the carts for removal. She scampered to her den and tripped over someone's tossed about luggage when she entered her den. Catching her by total surprise.

Whisk Den:

She angery shoved the luggage under her bunk and fastened the safety net to keep it there. Quickly replacing the picture of her family where it belonged as it was the only loose object she had out. Quickly getting into proper uniform. She was going to have some serious words about with whom ever left their gear unsecured. It had to be one of the newcomers she had seen down in the flitter bay.

Once in proper uniform, it was time to recover her sidearm from Tordorno. She scowled as the main systems were offline and now she had to do it the hard way in tracking down Tordorno down, running the gauntlet of upset Non-Coms and Officers who had more things to worry about other than her being out of uniform.

Murr shook her head wondered what the third mishap would be. As it always came in threes. She ticked off the mishaps that concerned her and she was already on number 4. Maybe she would get a reprieve as she set off with her usual stoic demeaner to take things in stride as they befell her.

Wapoin Ruosa

La'tâ carefully picked Sogi up and carried her to a medical table, doing her best not to agitate her arm in the process. After laying her down she gave her an injection of pain killers and waited about a minute for them to start taking effect. "I'm going to have to rotate your arm back into proper position so it can be set properly." After giving her a moment to brace herself La'tâ began aligning her arm back properly. Once it was in place she used the table's scanner to get a good look at where her bones were broken and do some finer adjustments on alignment before she started the radiant healing. Fractures and breaks were fairly simple, but she didn't want the bones to heal in the wrong place or shape.

Nyora'a Ruo'sa

Potos made her way around the chamber, manually resetting the fail safes on the units present. Her communicator chimed and she opened the channel. "Yes?"

"Sar, I have inspected the Wunyli Gianaka. All units are operating normally. The fail safes engaged during the scram. I have reset them. Returning to Nyora'a Ruo'sa." Came Hewid's report.

Potos walked over to the main console. She started the Sumanâ-a Tyokanorjopa. She watched the various status indicators for any sign of complication. Once it reached 80% of power, sh engaged the Gean Norjopa. It took a minute for the generator to stabilize. She then engaged the breakers shunting the power through the ship. Lighting that was not damaged turned on. Environmental systems also switched on engaging the air handling system.

Potos monitored that the systems she restored were stable. So then she went to the primary power controls. The gray furred Qaktoro initialized the start sequence for the Movi Geanme Tyokanorjopa. She stood watching the indicators ready to respond to any hazard. Hewid entered the room and watched.

Potos turned to Hewid, "Go to the propulsion control console. Be ready to engage once I have primary power active." Hewid gave a simple node and moved quickly to the station.

As the main power system for the Yome came online, the familiar sounds that the engineer worked in filled the air. She switched the Yome from secondary power to primary. The air system increased the flow of air through the ship. All lighting was brought to normal intensity.

"Hewid, engage propulsion systems. Let's get the Yome ready to head to port."

Hewid nodded to Potos, and then turned to the console. He shunted power to the control circuits for each of the systems that drove the warship. It would be up to those on the bridge which they chose to use.

Wapoin Ruosa

Sogi watched La'tâ and her face softened as the pain relievers took affect. "Much better," she said .

Kâurikâ Goa

Toidorno was making his rounds of the ship, checking on the moving of the injured and securing of equipment that had been dislodged. He looked down the passage and spotted a familiar face. "Sar Whisk. What are you doing up and about. Last I knew you were in medical." he called out.

Kaurika Goa

Murr approached as she used Paw-speak :: Released for light duty. I need to recover my service side arm also :: Looked hopeful at Toidorno. Coming to a stop next to the wall to keep out of the way of those busy at clean up and escorting the wounded.

Flitter Area;

As Alpin's claws dug further into the catwalk floor of the docking plank from the weight of him and his apoloa, he suddenly felt another metallic paw grab a hold of his firmly and the image of Miali's violet eyes glowing a bit in the low-light. "Gotcha."

Alpin looked up and gave Miali a grin and accepted her help in hauling himself and Yanga up onto the walkway again. They both sat there for a long minute before Alpin finally got to his feet and pulled Yanga to his feet. They carefully felt up their bruises and finding nothing dislocated or obviously broken the pair of twins turned their attentions elsewhere. "Thank you." Alpin said to Miali and Yanga nodded.

"Tasi?" Yanga asked, "is there somewhere my assistance can be put to better use?" He asked the ship's brain, knowing the whole ship was probably needing to be put back together, but helping to fix the ship was what he had been trained for. Alpin glanced up at Meopa's approach and Yanga gave the other brothers a slight smile. "We're alright I think. A few scrapes and probably a lot of bumps and bruises."

Wapoin Ruosa

La'tâ smiled to Sogi and continued with the treatment, holding her arm in place till it was mostly reattached. She paid careful attention to the thickness and density of the bone to make sure it was healing properly. "You're really strong Sogi, most would've been screaming , even above your age." She gave the baqli a soft patting on the head without realizing, treating her like she were her child.

Once the treatment was done she turned the machine off. "You're all better now, though you might want to rest a little, the muscles will be a little strained."
