"mmm..." Kai said, taking a bite of food. "I suppose we can show it after your meeting with Tom, then. You can get into contact with us when that's done, right?" He was talking to Yuzuki, and, being a polite young man, looking at her. Her nervousness was obvious, so he was trying to act as normal as possible. What was it that made her so nervous? Was it the fact that she wasn't used to talking with anyone not from the engineering section? Perhaps she had some doubts in her own ability? Maybe she didn't like the thought of using a pair of legs from a machine? Whatever it was, he would have to figure it out so he could somehow make her less nervous. When the sprite forced out her smile, Kai smiled back momentarily, before responding to Takuma.

"I suppose we won't really know what to program without knowing what hardware we have." The Power armor pilot continued eating for a moment before asking, out of the blue, "Do you guys like it here, on this ship?"

"That's good," Masako said as she smiled at Shizuka, only for Akiko's excitement to catch her attention. Kuro-chan the young Neko couldn't help but find that shocking...since she had really never been called that before. "Don't worry about that too much, Akiko-Hei," Masako replied with a gently smile upon her face.

"Just...be careful around the crew, okay?" she said with a chuckle. "I have at least some sort of reputation to keep after all," the last came out in a teasing tone as she patted Akiko on the shoulder.

"Very well. And yes I suppose you will. Enjoy the remainder of your visit but stay out of trouble." Nyton replied before shutting the door behind Heram. "Miharu please ensure our guest's door is 'secure' and keep it locked. Forward his requests to me and I will see to attending them." he said.

With that Nyton then turned about and began walking back to Kotori's room. His mood had been soured a bit by the interview. It certainly went well for a few moments. He has to be the dumbest smart guy I have ever met. Nyton concluded before arriving at Kotori's door. Once there he chimed again to let her know he was there.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Akiko blushed a bit and tapped her finger tips together shyly now. "Hai Kurohoshi-Juni." she replied sheepishly before picking at some choices of food.

Shizuka joined her sister and began selecting some rice and eggs to eat. "Have you found out anything about what our crew will be doing now?" she asked.

This time, Kotori answered Nyton in person. The nekovalkyrja opened the door, gave Nyton a sheepish smile and then widened the apperture to allow him in.

"That... could have gone better," she admitted.

Nyton let out a sigh and then shrugged. "It could have. However it is his loss." he said while stepping in.

"Honestly I feel a little embarrassed. I had hoped my little course on etiquette would have sunk in better. Perhaps I expected too much." he then said.

"Ah," Kotori gave a little smirk and closed the door behind him. "That explains it, then."

The Taisa turned and walked to her desk, turning around its corner to have herself seated in her chair. She dragged the food tray in front of her put her hand on the handle and looked back up to him. "The vocabulary he used seemed very similar to yours. I quickly suspected you had been coaching him."

Nyton ran his right hand over his hair and chuckled a bit. "He even quoted one of the phrases I suggested to him." he said while walking over to the desk and sitting back down on the chair he was in earlier.

Assuming the thinking position, Nyton went over the earlier discussion. "According to his old personnel files he never has been very personable. He is as good at his technological skills as he is bad at dealing with people. He did not even try to apply his own intelligence to what I taught him. There was no thinking outside the box, just repeating what I told him despite the importance of the subject. I believe his refusal to consider working outside of his area stems from extreme narrow mindedness and arrogance. I almost feel insulted." he stated.

Nyton shook his head to dismiss the thoughts. "Whatever. Like I said it is his loss. If he wants to believe he can do this on his own than let his arrogance blind him. Unless he was holding back then almost every bit of information he gave me did nothing to advance our own. He is no farther along than we are and given that we now possess the data bank from Eve's own base we should be advancing our knowledge." he concluded.

While Nyton spoke, Kotori lifted the tray's cover and glanced over what her tactical officer had brought her. She gave a faint smile and just after Nyton referenced the likely progress they would make with the databank, Kotori gave a nod. "Well, we are talking about a KAMI data-core, so, care will need to be taken for the decription lest failsafes come into play."

The nekovalkyrja's smile widened into a thankful one. "Thank you for bringing me breakfast, Nyton." She promptly began helping herself to it, starting with the miso soup - leaving the condiments untouched.

After a moment Kotori's tongue quickly stabbed out to lick her lower lip and she lowered the bowl to tell him. Pointing port-side of the ship with her chopsticks, she told him: "Truth be told, I was hoping I could enlist his aid so that he could try clogging Eve's access to the black market in the Nepleslian imperium. I'm sure I can ask the 1st XF's SAINT branch to cover Geshrinari Yards back here, but I figured that if he could definitely shutdown her best access to extra supplies out of the Yamataian territory, it would have helped us out in the long term."

Nyton gave a nod and smiled back at Kotori after she thanked him for the meal. He listened thoughtfully while she explained her hopes of stalling Eve in the Nepleslian sector. For a moment his brow grew a little tense and he began to tap his fingers together. As though giving something serious consideration he thought for a moment like this before he finally spoke.

"It may still be possible. My family has industrial contacts who have connections into the underground. Aside from that a certain member knows how to access restricted channels. That member is something of an expert in certain fields." Nyton slowly said slowly with deliberate vagueness.

Kotori raised an eyebrow at Nyton's answer. "Well, if you need to put some care in that answer, even for me, then best not consider it. If Eve ever identifies the source of interference, I wouldn't want her to have the chance to get back at your family."

Kotori cut and sniped up a piece of egg with her chopsticks. After she was done with that bite she added: "Back to the issue of our guest, just remember that we owed him nothing in the first place. Heram Wazu was rescued from Bowhordia, exposed to information that makes him a liability to us and we are still kind enough to bring him home after that."

She helped herself to one of the sliced vegetables, quickly chewed and swallowed it down before adding: "I am not looking forward to seeing how my IPG file will fatten after this, but I figured I was being pretty nice, for a Ketsurui. It's sad, because I had absolutely no qualms in a mutually helpful relationship. Too bad all I sensed from him was that he was a selfish calculating weasel of a man whom wanted to wring us dry while giving as little as possible back. Seeing that lack of goodwill did just not make me feel like we could cooperate. He's really lucky I even name-dropped Shinichiro to him."

"I doubt my own IPG file is going to be very flattering. I have heard what they think of Nepleslians aligned with Yamatai like myself." Nyton said and gave a half smile.

"He has to be one of the most irritating people I have ever met. However I doubt he will file anything with the IPG. He appears too consumed with his goal and will likely put us out of his mind once he continues his pursuit. Unless he was a plant whose goal was to obtain information on us, he really does seem too narrow of mind." Nyton added. "Personally I imagine him to be the former."

Glancing back towards the door Nyton then sighed a bit. "I too had honestly hoped for us to strike a mutually beneficial agreement. Anything to help foster a little more understanding between our worlds. To that end I really did try to help teach him the finer points of diplomacy."

Kotori finished the eggs and then told Nyton: "I prefer not to underestimate him and simply assume the worst. If things go as you expect, it'll be a pleasant surprise."

"Oh," Kotori turned and tapped the small digital touch console at one end of her desk, bringing the volumetric windows she had been working up back into display. She then touch on the content of one and then minimized it.

As soon as that was done, a volumetric window appeared next to Nyton, displaying the following text:

Kotori said:
Subject: After-mission report, Bowhordia operation

Officers, in preparation to our debrief after dinner, I would like to remind you to send me your after-action reports before 15:00, Ship time, so that I might be able to go over them before our conference.

Thank you,

Taisa Ketsurui Kotori
Captain, YSS Miharu NJ-X1-00

Other similar windows would appear for Tom, Yukari and Masako - though those would be minimized.

Kotori gave an apologetic smile to Nyton, seeing the messaging was redundant since he was already right in front of her, and then asked: "Do you figure escorting Heram Wazu back to Nepleslia is feasible, or would it be more plausible to head to Pisces station and instead arrange for his transport there?"

Sitting on her bed, she was about to speak up before a volumetric window appearred in front of her face. "Ah..." she hummed as she read the contents quietly to herself.

"Hmmm...odd," she mumbled as she checked her drafts from the previous night. Apparently, she hadn't sent her after action report as she thought and it was still stewing in her saved files. "Ugh...how embarrassing," she mumbled as she sent it off to the Taisa and closed the windows.

"Anyway, I haven't heard much about the Sekkou crew and other rescued prisoners," she explained. "I believe Wazu-san will be shipped back to Nepleslia, but the others..." she shrugged as she faded off before leaning back on her bed and propping herself up with both arms. "As for the Miharu, all of the sprites seem to be working on repairs while the majority of the personnel involved in the mission are on stand-by. Officers, on the other hand, have a debriefing later." she stated.

((OOC: I'll type up an in-character after action report after dinner tonight. I had already finished it in-character but haven't actually written it out.))

Nyton paused to consider the logistics of transporting a single passenger back to Nepleslia in accordance with their mission. "Dropping him off at Pisces would mean arranging more outside sources to deal with him. Given that Eve is now more personally acquainted with our investigation she might even decide to intercept Wazu enroute. She could do the same after we deliver him to Nepleslia although I would imagine it may be somewhat more difficult to do so there since her operatives would have a harder time hiding themselves from the IPG. We would be certain that he had been transferred over into Nepleslian hands should we do so ourselves."

The man then crossed his arms. "However doing so would require us to divert our time and attention for merely a questionable liability. Also, if we are to assume he may be a spy of some sort, then he may have something waiting for us upon arrival to the border. I doubt it would be on the scale of an interplanetary incident but it may result in more breaches of our own security. Then there is the issue of the current quarantine procedures to slow us down."

Finally Nyton gave a nod. "It is feasible, your highness. If we are not pressed for time than we may as well tie up this loose end ourselves. I suppose it will be some time before Miharu will be fully repaired and this may give us the downtime to complete them given we are not required to be in dry dock."

Kotori lifted the bowl containing the rice and salmon, looking a bit thoughtful before she brought the bowl close to her mouth and started to enthusiastically expertly shovel with her chopsticks the content of the plate in her mouth.

Kotori was not one to swoon over her favorite foods like Yukari, though, so her enjoyment of the salmon was only betrayed by the points of her cat-like ears twitching and perking up.

She finished chewing and lowered the bowl to tell the Nepleslian: "I've yet to decide on the issue, but I'm strongly weighting leaving him at Pisces wipe our hands off this. I figure I can have SAINT arrange for his successful transport back home."

Kotori's chopsticks went back in the bowl to seize more of the salmon rice, but she stopped just as she was opening her mouth and quickly lowered the bowl to say: "Oh. Heram Wazu was once under Yui's command. Maybe I'll ask Yui-Taisho first when I report to her and see if she has any suggestions."

"Yes, that he was." Nyton said, hiding the smirk at noticing Kotori's ears perk over the salmon. He had not forgotten it was her favorite.

"When will you be reporting to Ketsurui-Taisho? Sometime after our debrief?" he then asked.

Nyton's question caught Kotori just as she was about to sneak in another bite. Again, she stopped, and answered: "Once we've debriefed, I'll be able to send her my own after-action report for the Miharu. I'll likely add any other correspondance along with that."

Yoroko finished her food up and took a deep breath. Now where to begin my day. The Hei wondered before settling on getting some work done early so she could relax later. "Well Rin-san, I hope you find something that makes you happy today. Don't overwork yourself though." with that Yoroko headed off toward the armor bay where the DAISY she had used in the assault on Bowhoardia was being kept. "Time to clean this thing up." Yoroko said as she thought about just how much sand would be in the helmet. She would probably need to do tons more, she had taken some hits during the encounter after all. At least I'll be able to say I was responsible for my armor. Yoroko mused.

"Well, if you wish I could send you my report now. I finished typing it up last night." Nyton offered.

"Whenever you can," Kotori nodded in agreement. "Though I really need to meet this Chusa you found on Bowhordia. Her name is Sayuri, I think, and she was originally from the Yuurei like that geshrin soldier Camellia."
