As he finished eating, Yaichiro recieved the notice that the transfer of his funds had cleared...the Thunderbolt was now his ship.

He then finished his meal and headed to the medical bay, in hopes of using Blueberry's 'beautification' skills to disguise him. If she wasn't back yet, he'd have to wait, or disguise himself.

The medical center was empty and quiet when Yaichiro entered. He could see some of the new Lorath medical items inside. A bottle of cleaning spray had been left out on one of the counters, probably from clean-up after he was treated for injuries from the explosion.

Outside the ship, Kaede and Kaori continued to wire up the volumetric array. When finished, it could render the ship invisible.

"How is that generator work coming along, Nana?" Blueberry asked, calling Engineering. The former sprite was laying on her back with a toolkit in her lap, carefully making adjustments to the top portion of the ring of sensors around her. She was just finishing the sensor installation and began to calibrate the new sensors, while working with the ship to create software drivers for them.

"Recovering soul pods? Well there's a few ways to go about that. They could know we were collecting them, or we could use them as cover for a reason to not cause an incident if we're found hiding among the field of them." Misaki considered aloud, reading a schematic of the ship that Yaichiro had purchased. The other idea she had of course was using Yaichiro's ship to land close to wherever they could find the last vessel known to have Hanako.

While the systems were being updated, the XO ran a few checks by Charisma to integrate them fully, authorizing the upgrades with her rank. The message she received was ill-timed, at best. With Sasorix limping around the ship they could use another soldier, but someone who hadn't been proven to her yet on the ground in Nepleslia could be more risk than asset.

For the third time, she looked for reports on the other ships in the squadron she requested, then began to draft a reply to Yui Taisho.

Yaichiro was about to go dress himself, but he reconsidered...and contacted the CO.

Mistress Shosa, would you rather I disguise myself and depart for Nepleslia ASAP, or should I assist in the ship's modifications while you try to assemble our course of action?

Nana was currently on her knees, somewhere in between disconnecting the thermal generator and figuring out just how to replace it with the fusion kit -- not that she didn't know, of course. She was just being meticulous (read: procrastinating!) as usual. Her array of tools was spread out in a semi-circle at her feet and she was taking her time so that she didn't cause anything to blow up. There was also a fear that if she worked too hard she would crash ... again.

"It's coming along. Though, I think I'm beginning to spot the bones in my fingertips.." Nana murmured jokingly as she reached for her screwdriver, softly sighing to herself.

When this is all over.. I'll tell them.

I'll be down in the kitchen then, getting my rations, Misaki-chan. You should relax a bit too, all this stress isn't good for you. Kim told her lover mentally before she bowed simply to the XO and wandered off towards the kitchen as she wondered why the Nepleslians wanted Hanako kidnapped, and how they'd get her back.

Kaede and Kaori sent the bridge a welcome report: the volumetric array was finished! Now the ship could create illusions such as disguises or empty space.

This gives me an idea.. Misaki thought as she looked at the array schematics. Charisma? Do we have any known IPG ship markings that we could properly project over the one Yaichiro has bought? They could simply land as another IPG team to look for the next clues, if they could project through the atmosphere while the Eucharis was in space. The XO was assuming the people whom had taken her were IPG, but if they landed with their original ship and just had Yaichiro pretend it might not happen.

In that thread, she finished her message to Yui Taisho

Understood, Kage-Shosa she is free to leave. In the meantime cross check data we have on the IPG and see if you can't fashion yourself a uniform or an official looking outfit until Taisho Yui approves one of the plans. If you need to go on Pisces be discrete.

Her next thought went to Kim, I can't..we're probably going to leave soon. There's no time but you should eat.

I will do as ordered if you wish to stay with this plan, but respectfully...throwing in the IPG element is unwise in my opinion. I lack any paperwork proving any sort of IPG status, any form of IPG ship identification, and I'm sure they have a system to cross reference all known IPG personnel, as we do for our own Army. Infiltrating IPG would be analogous to infiltrating SAINT.

Also, I know nothing of them. It is one thing for me to play a civilian salvager as I'd intended, but I can not make even the slightest guarantee of success playing as an IPG, since I lack knowledge of protocol, laws IPG operates under, etc. They are not idiots. The fact they managed this much is proof of that.

Yaichiro sent back, thinking that his acting CO's amendment was a damaging one...

We don't need paperwork, just long enough to get a body. However I take your point. Prep the ship to hide a few armours on board from sensors. They're not idiots but a military bureaucracy is the same even if it's full of foul-mouthed bomb setting kidnappers. Misaki replied, however she did have to admit he was not a SAINT agent, and engineers on the whole probably didn't make good actors. What he was forgetting was interesting to note, but there was enough doubt to even that she had to reconsider. The temptation to go as point and scrap the plan involving the junk freighter was great, but she did not want to leave the squadron without a command officer if something bad happened. It would be negligent.

Very well, Misaki. Just don't push yourself too hard. If there's anything you need me for, just let me know. Kim replied to Misaki as she transmitted feelings of warmth and affection to the currently acting officer on the ship while she sighed and shook her red-maned hair while she entered the galley, got her rations, and sat down to eat.

"Geez... I wish they could just hurry up and decide how we're supposed to go after Hanako and just do it, instead of just dawdling around here, letting those bastards get further and further away..." Kim grumbled under her breath as she started on her meal, thinking and mumbling too much to really pay attention to the food she was eating, the motion becoming mechanical and automatic. Dip, chew, chew, chew, chew, chew, swallow, repeat.

Charisma had displayed known IPG color schemes, but noted that as far as Yamatai knew, the IPG didn't use Geshrinari Light Freighters.

Yui replied in a few minutes, recommending option two.

Kaede and Kaori put the construction pods back in the shuttle bay. Blueberry reported the new sensors were now online.

Nana worked diligently, finding the task to be rather trivial. She'd replaced the generator in less time than she originally anticipated, and soon enough, Misaki would be greeted with a report from the weary technician.

"Kurusu-Shosa, the Lorath Fusion Kit is in place, and... well, operational, I assume."

Blueberry joined Nana in engineering and began talking to her. "I was looking over the Asamoya's equipment list and I noticed they had two prototype systems on them that might be useful to the Eucharis: the interphasic drive and the transfer chamber. Since you worked on the Asamoya, I figured you'd be familiar with them. I'm looking at giving the Eucharis interphasic capability. As for the transfer chamber, I'm not sure we could fit it."

Blueberry then suddenly looked up at the aether generator. "You know what? We should use aether generators as engines...taking the aether and using the energy spillout for thrust. The only thing would be keeping them minimally affected by aether denial systems."

Meanwhile, Mango, formerly the YSS Sakura's ship cook, entered from Pisces Station through the airlock and went to find herself a bed to claim. She would be making midnight meal and breakfast from now on.

- - -

Blackberry called Valen. "Are you doing okay?"

Nana stood up and brushed off, dragging the back of her head across her forehead with a soft sigh before turning to face Blueberry and bending at the waist in a bow. "With all due respect," She murmured hesitantly. "I don't recall those ever being in use on the Asamoya. There's nothing to lose in trying to add them -- either one, I mean."

Her eyes followed Blueberry's, and Nana slowly raised one pinkish-blue brow with a hand resting atop her head. "Anything is possible. Would you like me to get started now, or.. could I have a bit of time first? The work on the thermal generator has left me a little tired." Sadly, such was the case with everything she did lately, but that was a small fact that she would keep to herself.

"As far as I know, we're supposed to stay up until otherwise directed," Blueberry told Nana, taking a brief rest by sitting on the deck. "We're all tired. Heck, Blackberry is on her third consecutive shift now, I think. Unfortunately for rescuing Hanako, time is of the essence. Because of that I'd rather put further installations aside for now and go get her."

With that said, Blueberry sent a message to the bridge indicating modifications were complete. "Those fusion generators good to go? I figured we'd light them up."

Not waiting up too long for a reply, Yaichiro went down to Engineering, to see what he could do. He WAS Chief Engineer, after all...and desperately needed.

"I hear you guys need a fresh set of hands? Sorry about the delay, by the way."

"What I think we all need is to get on with this mission," Blueberry said, standing up and walking over to the newly-installed parts. "Any news from Shosa Misaki, Yaichiro?" the former sprite asked while double-checking the new reactors.

- - -

"Shosa," Blackberry announced, "Nepleslia has replied."

"I am slated to take a Geshrinari Light Freighter to Nepleslia under cover...but the Mistress Shosa believes I should go as an IPG operative. As such, I'm not sure what the final plan will be, or if the Mistress Taisho has approved it yet."

He answered to Blueberry.

"What is the status down here? What have you done, and what's slated to be done?"
