Misaki gave her approval to the Nadeshiko when asked about the request, nodding slowly to Blackberry as she sent them on their way. It wouldn't take very long to pick up the Golden Apple if they were already in orbit or away from Yamatai even less.

"I'm well aware of that fact. If Blueberry doesn't need the extra hands I'm going to have her do just that." The XO smiled at the oddly-skinned sprite. "Thank you, I'm glad you're always this diligent I take no offense this time." She was glad everyone seemed to pull together, but expected to see a harder time of it from the former Asamoya crew members. There was no need to rub salt in that open wound.

Mistress Shosa, we may want to send a formal complaint to the First Standard Fleet when this is done. No Star Army Outpost should lack monitoring or harbor ships with scanner jammers. As the Ex-Chief Engineer of Pisces, I can say this was NOT how this station was originally designed to be run.

I currently cannot scan the vessel from a safe distance so I'll have to go inside. I Soul Transferred just before coming out here, just in case. Any special orders before I proceed?

Yaichiro sent, giving the CO a chance to amend or append to her orders in light of this data.

So much for having nothing to do! Nana jumped a bit at the image of the officer appearing before her, the startled technician listening closely and nodding. Looks like it'll be about time to rip out some parts and replace them with something shiny and new. Joy. Nana nodded, "Roger." And was then on her way.

"Hai, Kurusu-Shosa." Kim replied simply and bowed to her superior officer and turned around to exit the bridge and make her way through the ship to reach the docking hatch, and soon left the ship behind to enter Pisces station.

Figuring the Security Staff would be the most bountiful target, the soldier made her way to the Security office in the station as she made sure her knives and her NH-30 sidearm was loaded and ready for action, just in case Hanako's kidnappers had some agents in here, who'd put up a fight.

When the orders came in, Cherry nodded softly. "Hai."

And when the face blipped out, she growled softly to herself. Damnit, Hanako... Everything will always be about you... I didn't want to be here!

After a moment, she just shook her head, calming down after her brief anger. Not to long after, she would be out of the armor and in her uniform, keeping the DAISY ready off to the side.

And then, a longer moment later, measurable in several minutes, she would be on Pisces station, away from Kim as ordered. While Kim went to the security staff, Cherry went to the dock master's office. After all, he (Or she) assigned the workers to the ships, and instructed where they go. He would know, or at least have logs.

The Security Office was huge on Pisces, guarded by at least 6 NH-28 NIWS units and various Nekovalkyrja personnel. A large desk full of receptionists, similar to a airport ticket counter, faced the outside, while the interior was behind one-way mirrors. There were long lines in front of each station, filled primarily with Nepleslian merchants, travelers, and Star Army soldiers reporting various incidents that primarily occurred in the "free-for-all" concourse D.

- - -

Cherry found various private cargo handling services on Concourse D and of course the Star Army Logistics' branch worked Concourses A and B, but there was no centralized "dock master." Further investigation found Concourse D had its own traffic control center, which gave ships clearance to dock.

...I'm disappointed as well, there should be security measures everywhere. The conference was here, surely they didn't let that off as an oversight. We have to know what is in that ship, but I want you to get in there by whatever means you need. If you can get a hard line signal into the control computer, then maybe you could program it to get a safe distance from the station, then take a shuttle to it? Misaki conferred with the engineer, at least on the feasibility of the plan. Of course, she could try breaking the jamming but that could have just as well caused an explosion if they were really thorough with their dangerous pitfalls.

Misaki rubbed her head, then checked on the status updates from everyone, waiting to see what would come in as she listened to what Yaichiro had to say on the feasibility of the sudden plan.

I have been attempting to purchase the vessel...I will attempt to contact the seller and purchase the vessel, and obtain acces in that way. Also, at that point, we could explore the vessel unmolested using your plan, as it would be under my ownership.

With that, Yaichiro used his Star Army Communicator to contact the personnel on Pisces responsible for selling the vessel.

"This is Shosa Kage Yaichiro, one of the bidders on the Geshrinari Light Carrier. I was wondering about the status of my 25,000 KS bid, and if I have won or not. If not, I would like to inspect this ship and even take it out a few AU, so I know more about her condition, space-worthiness, and how much I want to bid on her should the bidding war continue. If I have won, I still want to test her out."

Unfortunately nobody seemed to know who the seller was, or if the ship was actually for sale at all...something was fishy here.

Meanwhile, business continued as usual on Pisces, with ships coming and going, just like back at the Kyoto spaceport...

Cherry growled softly to herself, once again in annoyance. However, once again she made no verbal complaint.

Instead she marched over to the traffic control center for concourse D. As soon as she was admitted (And she WOULD be admitted, or face Neko wrath) she demanded all of the information on the ship and primarily the crew she could get out of them.

The traffic center was guarded by two NIWS units and a receptionist desk, with a warrant officer that was manning it. "The travel itineraries of Concourse D ships is private information I cannot give out to just anyone," the soldier told Cherry. "Anyway, it appears to be routine cargo operations. Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Yaichiro grimmaced, and communicated back to the personnel.

"The records for this ship are simply too empty, and now you can't even tell me if it's for sale or not, when earlier I was told so? I thought something odd was up.

This ship, among many others in Concourse D is using an active anti-scanning system. As such I demand, on my authority as a Shosa of the Star Army of Yamatai, the right to inspect it at a safe distance from Pisces Station. If you don't agree with those terms and do not wish to cooperate, please put your CO on the line.

This is a security threat on a station known for use in diplomatic activity, and as a former officer of this station, I know this was not standard procedure when this place was constructed."

Message to Eucharis from Aurora:

The ship you were interested in--the one with the orange and black stripes--has just undocked from Pisces and is heading towards Nepleslian space; it will reach the international border in about four point five minutes. It is shielded from scans.

"STOP THAT SHIP IMMEDIATELY!" Yaichiro barked into the communicator at whoever was in charge of Concourse D's arrival and departure clearances.

"Who gave them clearance to launch? Did you not hear me?"

After Nana had taken down the necessary calculations, which really did not need to take as long as they did, a message would be sent to Misaki.

"A few hours should suffice -- this is somewhat unfamiliar technology, but I'm confident that I won't blow anything up."

Naturally, she'd be taking the time to familiarize herself with such energy sources, but, being a quick learner, it was a trivial task.

"Send the Starling and Nadeshiko after it on orders to disable it if it does not stop." Misaki quickly ordered Blackberry, not pleased with how things were already turning on them. "How long until the Nadeshiko returns?"

"Only a few hours? Get on it." Misaki replied through the intercom to Nana, at least pleased something would come of the layover other than finding out a prominent station had turned into a very dangerous security risk. At the same time representatives from all nations were invited there, there was a concourse anyone could jeopardize safety at whenever they pleased to.

"Nadeshiko will return in about ten minutes. Valen will be coming home as well! Blueberry and Pineapple built a floating anti-gravity bed to transport him without jarring. Starling reports they are pursuing the freighter," Blackberry updated.

"Sorry, it's not our business to interfere with the Nepleslia cargo industry," the unhelpful traffic guy told Yaichiro. Pisces Concourse D was apparently set up to protect the privacy of shady smugglers and the like.

"This is a Star Army of Yamatai Installation in Yamataian Space, and this is a direct order from a Star Army Officer. If you have a problem with it, get your CO on the line ASAP.

And I will be CERTAIN to contact someone about the situation here. As the site of the IRC and the Western Border of our space, you are directly allowing any trafficking of contraband and providing a MAJOR security hole."

Yaichiro quickly returned to the Eucharis, unable to do much else.

"Gomen, Mistress Shosa. Those IDIOTS let the ship leave before I could get access. I'm going to give them some trouble once this is all over with..."

After the ten minutes were up, the shuttle arrived exactly on time. Valen still felt bad, but he was given a uniform, and with a bit of help, he was able to get it on. The tech sentry mused on why so many of the nurses-in-training had volunteered to help him... as well as why they slipped their numbers into his pockets.

Anyway, the Yamataian's hips still hurt a little, but the rest of his body wasn't in pain anymore. He was laying down inside of the shuttle during the ride over. Now, he was just happy to be coming back aboard the Eucharis. As the shuttle docked Valen went into a sitting position with a slight groan.

Message From Starling:

We have stopped the vessel, SS Danger Dancer, before it reached the border. The owner said he had just bought the ship and that he was on the way to Valaad. Our crew did a thorough search onboard and did not find the "package" we were looking for.

Why haven't you asked the station to do a lockdown? We had two other Nepleslian freighters from Pisces pass us while we were inspecting the SS Danger Dancer. If the "package" was on the station, it could be anywhere by now.

The current owner seems to be really forgetful of the people he bought the ship from...as in not helpful.
