RP: YSS Aeon [MIssion 7.3] Ground Site

"We need to take these back to the Garrison. If you wish to discuss, that is a safe place." the alien replied.
 
"Roger that Saki-Heisho. Packing up right away." He said and proceeded to pack up the equipment. He watched warily as he did so and made sure that nothing went wrong. Things had a habit of going wrong when he did his job. He made sure that all of the equipment was secure and then patrolled the camp.
 
The insects buzzed about while he was packing up the camp. A number of them even landed on his armor. They did not seem to be afraid of the armor clad soldier. The atmospheric shield on the shuttle seemed to repel them though.
 
Maki nodded. "Well, then if you permit it, I would like to accompany you to your garrison so we can continue to get to know each other" she said. She knew this was a risk, that she could very well fall into a trap, but so far this had all worked out peacefully and in the name of exploration and good will she knew she had to show trust. Anyways, if things went south she could easily just die and re-spawn on the Aeon. Her MINDY would self destruct and it would be a rather frustrating experience, but she had used it as an exfiltration method before.

She quickly switched to a channel that included Saki, Yoshiro and the Aeon.

"I am going to return with our new friends to their garrison and continue first contact proceedings."
She knew the camp was already being broken down and packed up with the notice of big scary neko eating monsters and soon would all be safely back on the ship. That made her feel better. She did not want anyone to get gnawed on by something big and mean.
 
Gidlozee, whistled and clicked to his fellows. "We do not have authorization to take alien on our flyer. Best you return to your conveyance and follow us to Garrison. Persons with more authority there to speak."
 
Maki grinned. "The shuttle will be returning to our ship, my suit is perfectly capable of keeping up in atmospheric flight" she replied. The MINDY was, after all, able to break the light speed barrier all on its own, an incredible capability for a suit of power armor. Not that she would ever attempt that kind of velocity in atmosphere, the compression shock wave would be devastating.

"Lead on and I shall follow" she added and called up her MINDY's flight systems, putting power from the armor's small aether generator into the gravity control and engines. Within moments she was ready to go, unless Aeon called with a sudden counter order.
 
He flicked the bugs away from him gently so as not to antagonize them. He secured the shuttle and decided to guard it from the inside." How are things going on your end?" Yoshiro said to Maki and then waited aboard the shuttle. "I have the shuttle secure and need to know if you need any assistance."

Gidlozee save his squad orders to finish the loading. He turned to watch them. The other Thaurgons started moving the platform around the vehicle and and up the ramp. Maki would notice that the alien was still looking at them with a set of eyes on its rear segments. He also took a small device and spoke into with the whistles and clicks. The device soon after emitted another series of clicks and whistles.

"The Commander says you may return with us. Flying along side us could result in an unfortunate circumstance. "

"Understood, will see if they will allow Arai-Heisho to accompany me"
she replied to the Aeon.

"That is very kind" Maki replied to Gidlozee and bowed politely. "My own commanding officer wishes another of my team to accompany me, is this permitted?" she asked.
 
"That is an acceptable option. We can accommodate that arrangement. Have your fellow warrior join you and we will enter the flyer." Gildozee replied.
 
"Thank you" Maki replied and bowed again. "I will get my companion and we will be ready to depart with you momentarily." she then turned and opened a direct channel to Saki.

"Saki-Heisho, would you care to join me on the trip to Gildozee's base to continue out first contact talks?"
she asked via wireless.
 
Gildozee walked over to the vehicle. He gave a command to the others and they entered the craft. He stood watching Maki and waiting for the alien's companion, was that a term for a mate or fellow crew member he wondered.
 
"I was about to forbid you from leaving on your own," Saki said over the comms. No use in hiding now. She put her rifle on her back-module and then jogged down hill to join Maki at the alien landing site, not very fast though. "Tell them we shall all join them. I want a shuttle on the spot if things go awry. I don't want to risk anything. Garrison sounds like it could be military spot, I want our shuttle there so we can evacuate if needed."

"Shuttle this is Arai-heisho, I want an mid-air pick. We will then accompany the alien vessel." Saki radioed to Shuttle and Yoshiro. She wanted to have Yoshiro nearby for cover fire if possible.

I will be taking whole ground team to meet the aliens. Me and Nagato-hei will meet with the aliens with shuttle read for extraction if needed.
 
 
Maki nodded in agreement with Saki. "Gildozee, this is Arai-Heisho, one of my companions" she introduced Saki to the alien. "She will be joining us, also since this area will soon not be safe, our shuttle will be coming along so we do not leave it or anyone behind to the dangers of the predators" she explained. "We should all be ready to go in a moment"
 
"Greetings," Saki said to the aliens and bowed a bit. They might not know the gesture, she realised then, hoping that she just did not ask one of them to marry her or duel her. Though seeing as they were not humanoid they probably did not do a lot of bowing in their time. Saki then activated her helmet feed, sending the vid to the shuttle. They would then beam it up to the ship, that way it was more economical and secure.

"Understood Aeon-actual. I will ask about the wreckage when we get there. I am sending the live-feed of video and audio via Shuttle. Arai-hei out."
 
The Thaurgon paused for a moment before responding. He lowered his forward segment back to horizontal, then back up in what he hoped was an approximation of what the alien had done. "Explain please the significance of lowering you upper torso." he said through the translator.
 
Yoshiro shooed out the last of the bugs and secured the shuttle. "Roger that, Arai-heisho. I will be in the air in five." He responded to Saki. He hooked up to the SPINE after getting out of the power armor and getting his clothes back on. He took off and headed toward the rest of the team.
 
Maki grinned at the aliens question. "It is a sign of respect and greeting" she stated. "In our culture, bowing to someone shows that you respect and honor them" she went on and illustrated this point by bowing to Gildozee. Now they were starting to get more comfortable with each other. Exchanging cultural information.

"I am sure your culture has a similar kind of traditional gesture?" she asked. "I would be honored to learn it"
 
Gildozee pondered this, "We have our method, being built different your ways are strange. We greet each other with limb holds. Equals clasp one limb, a lessor greeting a superior would clasp his limb with two. Except if in the service, Respect is rendered in the service by words and holding ones middle limbs up and to the rear, which shows that one is unarmed by tradition."
