"You could always die in a hail of glory and no longer be dead weight."

Mikael says somewhat dry. He looks around, waiting on next orders. He would go explore on his own, but he does not have the latitude to do so, so Itto Hei Harris mode it is.

"Neplesilians never die."

He says to make the point that he doesn't care it happened.

Underneath the Center of the Temple

William nodded to Eden as she answered his question. "Roger that, Ma'am." He replied. When everyone began flying up through the hole, the Nepleslian groaned inwardly. Of course they would fly...

He shook his head. This was just a chance for him to test his augmentations further. He looked around and noticed the other Nepleslians standing around as well. Was something wrong with their suits? He looked around and noticed a length of rope that someone had brought. He walked over to it and slung over his shoulder and under the opposite arm, securing it to his body. He scanned with his eye and mapped out a plan. There were several gaps in the ice that he could use to leap and bound right up the wall.

William moved as far back as he could and got into a sprinter's stance. He counted down in his head from 3. As soon as he hit 1 he pushed off with such force that the ice beneath him cracked with the force of his take off! He sprinted at the wall at full speed at the last second he jumped upward launching himself skyward. As he hit the top of his arc, he grabbed the wall and kicked off again. He repeated the process over and over until he lept up and out of the hole.

After he got over his accomplishment, he took off the rope and secured it around the statue and tossed it back down the hole. "Let's go guys!" He said calling down to them.

Arriving in the upper room through the hole, Katsu landed on the ground but kept the suit's flight system turned on, just in case. He looked around using his natural nightvision, just in case the interferences here would cause the suit's nightvision to fail or show something different. With both hands raised halfway up, keeping his new palm weapons at the ready, he looked around and saw the statue of a naked human. Truth be told, despite the physical differences between their species, she looked kind of alluring... The fox boy shook his head once and banished that thought for now, then looked around to make sure there were no unfriendlies. "It's clear!" he called down the hole and then watched the others come up through the hole as well, then turned around to look at the statue.

After he received the scans and heard the orders, he moved to the west door and looked around there, even watching out for gods. He was raised with a believe in a form of god, he didn't think of ghosts as too unlikely and as such he of course looked around for those as well. Not that he was scared of some ghosts appearing now, but just keeping it as a possibility.

Ume had quietly followed everyone watched as the hole was cut into the foundation. Once the hole was done, most people just flew up, and she was going to as well. However, when she Witnessed Will's method for ascending the space she was rather fascinated by it. She wanted to do it herself, but she was not familiar with the clothes she wore, so she wasn't sure she had the grip she needed. Of course she could correct herself with her propulsion if she messed up, but that wouldn't look as cool.

So the energetic neko settled for floating up the path like most of the soldiers and touched down near Will to whisper. "That was really cool."

Sacre floats up after a several others, scanning, but since there wasn't blood and screaming, she figured that there was not much for her to do. She took up a position behind the others, using her flashlight to illuminate the room. "Well, perverts built this temple, we can say that much." She commented as her light landed on the alter.

He'd bite his tongue at Mikael's comment, but it wouldn't prevent a scowl from spreading across his face. If that was a joke, the punchline had the hit of a featherweight. He'd watch while the suit's flight modules were engaged by a couple others - but something had gone wrong with his own., Keeping this bird flightless. No wonder he had thought that the flight was simply due to some sort of innate ability the others had. In the back of his mind, he had intended to use that rope to create a quick grappling hook with his survival knife, making up for his inability to use a boost or jump like a steroid-boosted gymnast wanting to use any opportunity they could to show off.

Needless to say. He felt a tinge worried as to if he'd be any use if he can't even grab a rope before someone else snatched it up.

Temple first room, First floor

Darwin hoisted himself up the rope, inching his way up until he could clamber onto the frigid floor of the temple's first level. Just above, the statue the rope was tied to came in full view, illuminated by Sacre's light. "I dunno." He grunted while he got to his feet. "Considering the nature of this place, one could call this tasteful nudity." He crossed his arms and hummed for a second, eyeing the statue over in an attempt to discern the nature of the statue. "Question is... who is she?"

"Could be a representation of some deity or a representation of someone of great principle, or a tool in a ritual of resistance against carnal urges."

Mikael says over the radio response to Darwin's question.

"It could be an unknown unknown as well. Sadly I never got the chance to study older history."

He says as he starts to analysis it more now until something more threatening reveals itself.

"I wonder how old this place is. Might be worth keeping notes of items found for research into this culture later on." He thinks to himself.

Chlorate looked up at the hole Eden had gone through, then down at her clanky feet. She realized she needed to use her Gravity Manipulation System to get through the hole, though she had never tested it before. "Gravity Manipulation System online..." she said as she slowly began to rise from the icy ground. She started to wobble around as she floated upwards, with nothing to stop her from flailing everywhere and spinning out of control. The wobbling eventually caused her to flip upside-down, though fortunately the results weren't quite as catastrophic as she expected, rather she continued slowly ascending even though she was no longer upright.

She eventually reached the top and drifted over to the ledge of the hole, plopping down with a clank on the floor of the upper room. She got up and looked at Eden, partially surprised she had actually managed to successfully use the GMS on her first try and reach the room Eden had told her to enter. By her calculations, there was a low probability that this could've happened.

As Katsu slowly walked around, carefully observing his surroundings, he heard what the others said. Partially with his own ears, partially over the radio. As they talked, he chose to chime in to them talking. "I don't think they are any more perverted than we are, given we all undressed in front of each other just before." he started, looking away from the others in an attempt to not remind himself too much about seeing them naked. "Given we are in a temple though, and compared to what I had on my home planet... This statue is either art, or a holy person. Doesn't feel like the right place to put a statue of a Goddess in."

Abart and Nerai stood back as the many armorclad figures made their way up the hole with their respective methods, however flashy or casual those may have been. They were letting most of the crew go ahead of them, not so much because they were apprehensive, but moreso because their large serpentine bodies would need a bit more room to move around in the upward corridor. As such, William's exquisite wall jump had not gone unnoticed by the two, beckoning an impressed whistle from both. "Dang..... now that's heckin' retro."

As it was now their turn, The two snakes went about activating their suit's thruster systems, lining the sides of their tails, due to a lack of calves where the standard Shibui would have them. The significantly larger mass and number of thrusters made it so the snake's ascend was a bit more noticable than the other's, as the little magenta streams of energy pushed the Separa upwards. Even when completely detatched from the ground, they still had a slight slither in their movement, force of habit.

All throughout his ascend, abart held his weapon pointed upwards, so he would fit easier through the passage with the relatively bulky tool. Once all the way up, he didn't disengage the thrusters in time, bonking his head in the ceiling with a fairly loud 'thud' noise, quickly sending him back down. Clutching his head with his free hand, his snaky tail flopped back onto the ground right next to the entrance hole. "Urrrrgh.... khu'th..."

Nerai followed shortly after, hopping down a bit more gracefully with a slight chuckle to boot, NSP unholstered. "Pffff.......Oh sweetie....you really have no affinity with flying, do you?" She gave him a playful ruffle through the armored helmet. "Now..... on to the treasu-..... i mean exploration~!" Her earlier apprehension seemed all but gone as the stony walls of the seemingly abandoned temple reminded her of pretty much any movie involving treasure hunting. "Yep... Good 'ol exploration...hehe."

Alastair would be able to see a wall in front of the exit from this central room they had come into and they could go left or right from the exit and both ways were clear of any kind of threats, though the walls were icy but some kind of ornately textured wall could be seen to either side. The clear visibility coupled with the map their sensors were now able to pick up made Eden's hopes of navigating this temple soar.

"Breach and clear is correct, Kokoro-hei," Eden told her after a small giggle from her lips. "No ghosts should be cropping up this mission, at least." She then looked to her friend Chlorate with a nod, and asked, "Would you mind pulling up the rear with me?" She patted her shoulder and looked over her shoulder to see Kaede, Kasumi, and Hoshi all working to set up the UNSAFE. "I want Jôtô Hei Azai ready to mobilize at any time. Ozaki-hei, stick here with the Chusa. We need someone to watch over her."

Hoshi gave a small laugh over comms and an upbeat, "You can do it, team."

"Alriiiiight," Eden drawled as she looked around and highlighted the Southern half of the levels of the temple that they could all reference on their HUD and said, "Kokoroi-hei take the South and the Shoi will lead the Northern part of the each level's exploration," she said as the Northern part of each level lit up. Your objective is to clear rooms until further commands from me or your captain come. Move out."

Mark activated his armor causing the synthetic muscles in his undersuit to bulge a bit as they became fully active. He took his pack and tossed it up and over the ledge to the level above after removing his rifle. Now clipping it vertically to his back he jump and kicked off the wall to his right before engaging his thrust to fly up to the hole at an angle to cut and drop to a crouch on the level above.

LEVEL ONE
Mark looked about after standing and retrieving his pack. The temple appeared ornate yet simplistic, an aesthetic that appealed to him very much even though he did not outwardly show it.

"Affirmative, am I moving with one of the groups, or am I staying here with the captain as well?" Mark asked over the comm even though he did not wear one, using his Geist without the need of even moving his lips to speak.

"On it" Alastair said over comms as he went left down the hallway. He was mindful to check corners and look out for anything out of place. While he was using the stealth of the suit he also did not trust it 100% since these are prototypes.

Maps matched well to what really existed. Seems someone took a good amount of time to make sure these maps were accurate. It still begged the question why they were here and why they would be the last to leave this place. He figured there was more to this story and once found whatever it was that is here would shed light.

He cleared north and was made his way to a fairly large room. He looked around to see if anything of importance stood out. His weapon was at the ready.

The inorganic Chlorate was exceptionally cold to the touch in the freezing temperature of the temple, but she didn't even seem to notice. "Affirmative," she simply said, as if she weren't aware her body felt like a refrigerator.

Miyako waited patiently as she watched other members of the team lead the charge through the hole she had cut. She was a medic through-and-through and knew that it wasn't her place to go sticking her head into any potential killing zone ahead of the more combat-oriented members of the team. It was just after her reptilian companions had made their way up that the neko medic followed suit.

She didn't need to bother with suit thrusters or any of that. Instead she simply disappeared with her suit's cloaking technology and floated up through the opening with her innate abilities. It ended with her turning as she reached the top of the chamber they had all entered with a spin to plant her feet on the roof. Infantrywoman or not, even the chocolate-skinned neko could understand the benefit of eyes form an angle an enemy wouldn't expect.

She used the suit's communication system to tell the others, "I'll watch from up here."

And then mirrored the movements of the south group with the palm-based weapons of her suit at the ready.

Temple's Center

"Considering how this room is practically empty, I'd say she might be some sort of lesser deity. Somebody that would receive prayer in very specific situations - like for crops or something... though... I really doubt that crops would be something that people in this region would pray for." He steps forward towards the statue only to be interrupted when he heard the Shosa's voice.

He'd perk up upon hearing the command, turning to face Eden. Finally, an opportunity for some exploration. No matter how derelict this place is, and no matter what happened on the way here, he's going to search about this place. The pale human manages a semblance of a grin on his face before trotting over to the rest of the breach team. "We have been asking a lot of questions about this place. Time to uncover some answers for a change." In the back of his mind, he would begin trying to grind through some possibilities as to why they would go as far as to build something this large in an environment such as this. It would take a lot more than reverence to inspire such a feat - but he could be wrong and it's merely a large church of sorts. Though why there would be a practically empty room with a single statue...?

Mikael was about to respond back to Darwin when he was cut off by Eden. Mikael looks at the maps while she talked. Then he noticed that he himself did not recieve any explict orders aka free roam mode to him.

"Aye aye Shosa." He replies back before he starts to proceed north with the group and branch out from the group, focusing on documenting and securing the outer perimeter of the the level one.

He will maintain the optical camo, though move slowly to make sure he does not accidently trip a trap. He tracks his progress on his local copy of the map.

Katsu paused for a moment to look at the statue, pondering, but just as he wanted to answer, orders came from the highest officers. He displayed the map to himself, looking over it to get familiar with the area in theory. He then stood next to the west pathway and... waited. From what he saw, one of the Sergeants moved up and went ahead immediately. And Katsu just stood there, looking around seemingly confused, his tail softly swaying from side to side behind him as he looked around for a CO or XO. After all... there had to be a higher ranking person here who would take up the spot in chain of command above him... right? There... had to be...

As he turned, he noticed another Neko touch down close to him. When she spoke, he blushed slightly and he rubbed the back of his neck. "Thank you, Ume-San. I actually can't believe it worked. I couldn't have done that with my old limbs." He said, balling his hand into a fist and relaxing it rhythmically as they formed up.

Once Eden had given her orders, he placed a mini-map on the bottom right of his screen and looked for the squad headed south. When he didn't see anyone, he began walking down the corridor. "I'll scout ahead for the southern group." He reported over the squad comm, before he hung a right down the corridor, making his way through the temple. His hands rested on his swords as He followed the icy hallways of the temple, carefully checking every corner with multiple spectrums of light with his cybernetic eye.

The teal eyed neko gave Will a firm pat on the back after seeing his reaction to the compliment. "We'll have to have a race some time. Yoshida can race with us too." She looked very eager but quickly settled down once orders were issued once more.

After she heard the orders, Ume made her way over to Yoshida. "Yoshida, let's work together." She smiled, but it couldn't really be seen with her helmet on. The excitement was easy to sense from the neko.
