Because Zack complained about teh Orb Weaver's shields being 'too high', and the V3 system has a line specifically saying that shields match the Tier of what's deploying them.Uhh why not just let the shields be whatever tier they need to be and then cause direct damage to the fleshy underneath after they are depleted instead of thinking of technical reasons why the submission cannot exist?
New DR is supposed to be a simple and helpful tool to allow GMs and players to describe things. Find the simplest solution.
Who cares, tho?Because Zack complained about teh Orb Weaver's shields being 'too high', and the V3 system has a line specifically saying that shields match the Tier of what's deploying them.
Neither did the Orb Weaver, but Zack complained enough, and so the NTSE cared, and restrictions were put in place.Who cares, tho?
Shouldn't we be striving to make every cool tech idea work? It's not like this "Pack Power Armor" reeks of overpoweredness.
So now you're saying that you don't want to have the same stats as the Orb Weaver because it's no longer good for you?Like I said before, the Orb Weaver's shield strength doesn't matter. What matters is that the effects on exposed skin were brought up here but not in the Orb Weaver thread.
I don't mind if we go with ADR level shields hurt exposed skin or not, but I would prefer it be consistent.
The potency of barrier emitters are always on the same tier as the unit fielding it.4) Destroyers will have destroyer-tier barriers, light cruisers will have cruiser-tiered barriers, and so forth.
Or it could just get approved as an item that emits a Tier 4 barrier without being a Tier 4 power armor. In other words if you want to release a T4 barrier that means the pack would have to be classed as a 'power armor' item.
So in other words give Zack special treatment and literally break the rules?Or it could just get approved as an item that emits a Tier 4 barrier without being a Tier 4 power armor.
Looks like that happened. Mistakes into miracles, folks!
