Once the shuttle doors opened, Sune stood and gathered his bag from where it was stored. Perhaps I should keep an eye on Miyazawa to keep her out of trouble. he thought. He walked over to her. "Excuse me, Miyazawa-misu I am going to get one of those hotel keys the Taisa spoke of and go secure my belongings. Perhaps you would like to do so as well and beat the rush?"

Konoka was skipping around when she noticed Sune speaking to her. "Hi, Sune-Hei! That sounds like a super idea!" She noticed Sune seemed much calmer than she. "Aren't you excited?" She skipped around some more, and tripped YET AGAIN.

Sune helped Konoka to her feet. "Since we are off duty you can call me just Sune. No need for using rank with my given name." He said smiling.

"As for being excited, I would say I am probably more nervous than excited. I have never attended a social event of this magnitude before." Pointing to dance area, and sound equipment.

"By the way, is there something wrong with your shoes? You seem to have a problem with tripping." His concern showing on his face.

"Heh...thanks." said Konoka, flushing slightly. This was really getting to be flustering. She smiled sweetly. "Ok....Sune." She smiled again. "Are you making friends here? If you are, yay! I hope to be one of them. That's my goal for the evening: make new friends..."

"You really haven't done anything like this before?! Well...I haven't either." It hadn't occured to her she might not be the only one. Well..yay. "I'm so very sure it will be something I like, though! I love being social!" She cocked her head. "You shouldn't be nervous. Me, i am excited. It's something new I haven't done. And nobody can automatically tell you you won't enjoy it. Actually, there's no garauntee you won't enjoy doing anything. Every new thing has the potential to be wonderful." She smiled.

"I do trip a lot...loads, actually. I'm kinda clumsy. It's all me. I usually don't get hurt, though. It's like life: just get up and keep going. You're not worried, are you? 'Cause I do enough worrying for a whole fleet, and that's quite enough, so I don't want anyone around me worrying about me...I'm not important anyways: Everyone else is, they're the ones to be worried about by ME. " She poked him the shoulder saying, "No...worrying...."

Sune chuckled, Looks like Miyazawa has one speed, full throttle. "I hope to become friends with others in our crew. And I was not worrying. I was expressing concern. If we are going to be friends, should I not be concerned about the well being of my new friend. Tell you what, you do the worrying, and I will be concerned. After all for now we will be working together." He said taking her bag. "Shall we get these secured so that we can come back and enjoy the party."

Konoka smiled cheerfully. "I'm sure you will."

Konoka stopped for a second. "Well, I suppose they...are...two different things...." With her always being extremely caring and selfless, she'd never really thought that anyone might show an equivalent of this 'concern' for her. "Well...well....alright! I believe so." She softly said, "yay..."

"I'm glad for your...um, concern." she said smiling.

"Well, let's go!! Yay, almost party time! Yippeee!" She smiled, broke out into laughter, and began skipping again. Hopefully dhe wouldn't..."Whoa!" She steadied herself. "Close one." .....Trip.

The relatively smooth ride on the larger vessels Imakiri was used to, and he could operate even in rougher conditions after his training for the Star Army. However Imakiri had never liked shuttle rides, a fact no amount of training would ever dislodge.

Also, Imakiri knew he had been largely quiet during the shopping expedition. He knew it was important to make a good first impression on his new crew, but just how would he go about doing that? He did want to present himself as a professional and able crewmember, but after his interview with the Taisa he knew the important of being sociable with the people he would be working with. After all who knew how long it would be until they were granted shore leave again?

Something else that struck Imakiri was the large amount of Nekovalkyrja that were on the crew. Imakiri couldn't help but wonder if any of them were a result of his own work, but he knew it was probably unlikely; he had had little to do with the newer breeds, and he knew that despite all his expertise, there would be some parts of them that he would simply not be able to decipher or understand without up to date references. Grabbing a drink on the beach, Imakiri ran his hand through his hair and prepared to "mingle".

Ramiro sat quietly on the ride to Hanako's World. Once the transport had landed he quickly made his way off the transport and over to the hotel to pick up a room key. His back was stiff from constantly having to sleep on those military beds and he would enjoy a night in a real bed with no one else in the room. Once he had the room key he made his way up to the room he was given and inspected it. Deciding there was nothing out of the ordinary he shut the door and made his way down to the party.

Kumiko had decided to just leave off getting a room to begin with. It's not like the conditions are horrible on the Eucharis, so even if I don't get a room, it's not a huge loss. Having decided, she went straight down to the beach. She was wearing her new dress, with her swimsuit on underneath it, and the shoes which Ramiro had bought for her. She wasn't sure how good it looked, but she was comfortable, and wasn't worried about what anybody else at the party thought. Well, almost anybody. Anyway, she went over to the bar, got a water, and went to sit down by the beach, sipping her drink while she looked out across the ocean.

The warm air was a couple degrees above room temperature, and a little breezy. The beach glimmered under the dark blue sky, its white sand taking on midnight blue hues, and its ocean a shimmering black.

Tiki torches were set up around the dance area to light the way. Already the rich trance music had started and Yamataians and Nekos were starting to filter onto the dance floor, wearing typically skimpy clothing and a lot of flashing trinkets and glowing bracelets and necklaces. Large black lights had been set up on the side of the hotel, illuminating the dance floor and its occupants in vivid violet tones.

Hanako made her way to the basket of room keys and slipped one into a small hanging pocket sown onto one side of her panties (it was the only pocket she had), and then walked to the bar, enjoying the feeling of the breeze blowing through her pantyhose and the sound of her black velvet boots on the boardwalk.

She ordered a glass of wine.

After securing his overnight bag in his hotel room, Sune walked back towards the party with Miyazawa. Once they were near the beach he could see that the 'party' was beginning. The music had switched from testing to actually playing and people were dancing on the dance floor. He surveyed the area. He noticed some people walking along the shoreline, and others gathering in small groups.

This is very different from the parties aboard the Bouken, but I should be able to handle myself. Perhaps I should at least offer to dance with Miyazawa unless she has other plans. he thought. He turned towards Konoka "Miyazawa-misu, unless you have other plans. Shall we go and test out the dance floor?"

The uneventful shuttle ride came to a close as it landed at the designated area on the ocean planet. The neko was greeted by the high humidity of the place as the door opened. Still, this was considered her first time visiting a beach, and the evening sunset was really fantastic to behold beyond the ocean horizon.

The party was already going on as the group emptied the shuttle. Nika immediately went to pick up a room key. Noting that there were enough keys for everyone and went hiking along the beach, before quickly returning. There at the bar, most of the crew members had gathered there. The neko ordered a glass of fruit punch, intending to settle down somewhere and wait for the main event to start...

With the crew spreading out to grab room keys, get drinks, and even to start dancing, Junko milled about for a bit, trying to get her bearings. The layout was much as the Taisa had described, but she was feeling a bit uncomfortable about the proximity of so many people. Her face slipped out of the adopted neutral expression a few times; she decided it would be best, for her sake, to attach herself to some member of the crew. At least there she only had to deal with known quantities and it was a job that would eventually need to be done anyways. She forestalled the inevitable for a moment by walking over to the bar to get some water. Noticing the neko beside her, she sighed internally, and then put on a smile. “Excuse me,” she began as the neko received a fruit drink from the bartender. “I’m afraid you have me at a disadvantage. We have not been introduced, but you seemed to know my name back on Gemini. I, however, do not know yours.”

Ramiro walked out of the hotel and towards the growing party. He found the bar and where he picked up one of the free glasses of wine. After slowly finishing the first glass he decided something more fine was needed so he ordered two glasses of Lorath wine. He the took the glasses and started wandering around the outside of the dance floor. Seeing the distinctive dress and hair Ramiro started off towards the beach.

After tucking away her things, Konoka had followed Sune to the party. This was so exciting! And fun! And...new. She vowed to enjoy it. Hearing Sune's request, she answered, "Why not?" She gave a little laugh. Now this was really living!

The party area was crowded, not only the crew from the Eucharis, but from other divisions of the army as well.

"Ohh, hi!" Nika turned, realising it was Junko who had talked to her, "I should apologise for not knowing your name in a proper way." She grinned and held out a free hand, "Irenika Himeya, Starship Operator, same rank as yours, Junko-san."

Hotaru listened to the small talk as they descended towards the landing site. Once the shuttle had touched down and the ramp opened she took a deep breath and smiled. Smells so nice, I wonder how it’ll go tonight, she thought to herself.

Being one of the last to disembark she had had a good look around of the party area. Impressed with what she saw, she headed towards the hotel to grab a room key as she felt like sleeping dirtside once more and would like a nice place to relax after the party winds down.

Entering her room, she noticed the large bed, grinned and put her bag down. Forgetting to change into her swimwear prior to leaving the ship she quickly changed into her bikini, before putting on one of her short skirts she had brought and a tight tee. Slipping on her sandals and grabbing her Uno's, Hotaru let her hair fall free before she deemed herself ready to hit the beach. Closing the door she put her room key into one of the small side pockets of her skirt with her hair band and buttoned it shut as she headed back to the party warmups.

Heading over towards where it was noisiest, Hotaru spied several of her crew and a fair number of others. Passing the bar she took a glass of water knowing she could always have something stronger later in the evening.

As she approached the group Hotaru waved and spoke, "Ohayo. Everyone having fun?".

Ramiro started onto the beach, then stopped and turned around. He stopped and turned around again and then stopped a third time. He was about to turn around again but stopped himself. Ramiro then took a deep breath and walked forward. "Hello Kumiko, would you care for a glass of wine?"

Walking towards the dance area Sune followed the example he saw others doing when escorting their partner to the dance area. He took Konoka's hand as he led her to the floor, prepared to catch her if necessary to prevent her from tripping enroute.

Then he scanned the people dancing to get an idea of how they danced here. Dancing on the Bouken was not quite as energetic, but there does not appear to be a standard dance, so I will be free to improvise. he thought.

He navigated Konoka and himself along the edge of the dance floor to find a spot where they could dance. Along the way he spotted a number of the Eucharis crew. All of them seemed to be enjoying the evening events so far. He took a moment to let the music wash over him and then finding the rythmn smiled at Konoka and started dancing.

Junko smiled at the neko; she was a little irked by being addressed with her given name by a person she had just been introduced to, but she shrugged it off. “It’s a pleasure, Himeya-hei,” she said, taking the proffered hand. Keeping a tight smile on her face, Junko took a sip of water and looked around the party, hiding her grimace of distaste behind her glass. “Do you have much experience with such gatherings, Himeya-hei? I’m afraid I have never attended such a thing before.”
