Rose kept to covering Adrian while he worked, still scanning their flanks but contributing to anything she could get a bead on to shoot at. The hope he would be done quick and get the other wayward medic to his feet was running back and forth in her mind while she looked for anything that would be stupid enough to let her get a shot in at.

Like we needed to be pinned. The Marine's jaw set, the feeling of shells exploding felt better out of the armour, but she had no time to be angry, or frightened while in the middle of battle. She kept the supporting fire up, hoping to hit something at least before either they died, or her squad did.

The Lorath vehicle, the Bringer of Thunder, oddly did not fire upon the VOID or anything. Instead, it helped its brothers in arms in shooting at the hill area.

However, unless the rest, it did not shoot above or to the side of the hill.

No, instead, it shot into the hill. The many different rounds of the chain weapon as it whirled went into the already mangled hill, causing explosions from the high explosive rounds and bits of metal from the fragmentation.

The hill was barely a hill at all anymore, leaving the majority of the marines who hid behind the massive thing exposed. And the BoT didn't end firing, no, it shot into the mass of the marines.

The tracer rounds, though, hit their target on the thing.

As if in retaliation, the very same fire the thing up close to the marines fired was shot at Gyles and the surrounding marines distance from a similar BoT off in the distance, almost a mile out. It, though, only walked slowly, apparently keeping the distance. The infantry in flak jackets did the same to Gyles and company, sending armor piercing bullets and, in one case, pulse shots. (The pulses went for the neck area, although not many actually made their mark...) Even with the shields, which were dying at a steady pace from the in the distance BoT, the inertia would slow their armor down.

The artillery did indeed hit the Crooked Demons, and one of them wobbled a little as the various munitions exploded around and behind them. However, neither went down. The two spread out in opposite directions, no less walking at a semi-steady pace and bringing the fire on the now some what exposed marines directly.

The Demons followed suit, although there were explosions around the 'hill marines' from their grenade launchers, which they launched seemly one at a time in succession, the rest keeping the chainguns on the now almost fully exposed 'rines.

The Hoplites from above came back and dispensed yet another missile pod rain of death downwards on the 'hill marines', passing by just as quickly into the distance, apparently turning again for another pass but... There was a cloud in the way, and the sensors were out. One couldn't tell.

The Mindy still waited its time, not moving at all. As if trying to get that one shot that would instantly decapitate one of our heroes with the deadly aetheric beam it would produce...

With the attempts to not get hit while firing back, it was almost impossible to see if the marines' shoots did indeed connect with any enemies... With the sensors out, one needed visual (Or tracer, but that was only on the one large BoT) contact to aim worth a damn... And visual mean putting your head out for a moment only to get hit. And the marines did take hits, but no GM scripted causalities.

They were in a sorry position to destroy the entirety of the enemy forces.

((OOC: Amelia now=Alice (Personality change.)))

Alice growled in frustration as she watched her shields drain from the constant bombardment. "Crap..." Her HUD whined at her as the shields were penetrated. She managed to move out of the way before her armor took any serious damage, not counting the numerous nicks from small arms fire.

"These little bastards are starting to annoy me." She shook her head and boosted off to the side. She moved the opposite direction of Gyles, hoping to draw some fire away from the other marines. When they came into view, she fired her LPA at the infantry groups, knowing them to be the easiest to kill and therefore the fastest way to lessen the red's firepower a bit.

One artillery shell got too close however, and the shrapnel tore into her left leg, causing her to let out a short scream before the morphine kicked in. "Damnit..." She didn't need her leg to move thanks to her hovering, but it was still going to be a bitch later when she had to get out of the armor. 'Hell, Ill let Amelia deal with it.'

Nevertheless, Alice readjusted her aim as she moved and continued to spray the infantry with plasma with her LPA.

"Get the fuck down!" Ran screamed on the all-hands channel, diving to the ground in an attempt to grab the PLC that Adrian threw his way. With several tones going off in his PA warning him of the degration of his shield's strength, the Chief, getting as low to the ground as he could, attempted to assess the situation. "These fucking obsolete PAs the Reds are using are backed up by heavy equipment. We are to disable the large frame by targeting the feed mechanism of it's weapon."

Ran ducked as a burst from the large frame's main weapon hit way too close, peppering the Chief with shrapnel and debris. "After that I want two Marines to each Crooked Demon, whittling down their shields with one FIRE to land the final blow. I want the Auxilliary squad to hunt down and kill that fucking Mindy right after the CDs are down, then we can all concentrate on taking down the frame! Try to kill as many of the unarmored fucks and as many of the Demons as you can, but they are low priority! Attempt to deploy countermeasures and apply evasive maneuvers when the fucking zoomies come at us! LETS GO!" Ran crouched up, aimed at the -main body- of the frame's main weapon and fired several DARTs at it. "All FIREs target my DARTs!"

A thought quickly ran through Henry's mind. Since he was fighting in atmosphere, what the hell was he doing with an LBR? He knew full well that they explode quite violently in these conditions.

Shortly after that thought passed, he was greeted with an artillery shell. Landing nearby and sending up an explosion that baffled his sensors and some debris that crippled his right arm. His shooting arm.

His sniping arm.

His favourite arm.
"They shall pay for that..."

He buckled for a moment at the pain, and decided to hit the deck near Ran to avoid any other injuries. Course, the painkiller drugs administered would only alleviate the pain for so long. He began to look around himself, trying to find a weapon that would work in an atmosphere was good for venting foreheads just for ruining his aim.

"Holy sh-" Explosions wailed Harrison's positions, temporarily obscuring his prone armor in debris and fire. When he dared lift his head up, his shields were down to almost zero. The aging merc heard Ran's orders and immediately started shelling the FIREs again.

Then he looked over at Henry's position and frowned inwardly. "Morris, you alright?!"

Henry radioed this response back to Harrison, "Hurt arm. Should live. Looking for - Gun."

His scavenging tactics and keeping low did manage to find him a Type 2 Rifle from a downed Dark Demon. A heavy, bulky piece of kit which lacks the finesse of the LBR, to his knowledge
He immediately stood up, and began to let it wind up, eventually blasting lasers forward at the Crooked that he didn't shoot at and gave it a grenade too. It only had one grenade left in it though. Just one, and he'd pick the rightful recipient of it soon.

Kagura kept unloading plasma chaingun fire upon the enemies as they came within lock-on range, utilizing bursts to deal damage instead of continuous spray of aggressive fire. But the sensor baffling explosion would send shrapnel everywhere and struck her right arm solidly but didn't do too much damage to it.HOwever, the damage to the left side would send a shock of pain up her arm as it flew off to the side, unloading a couple plasma shots toward ran unexpectedly. But she'd hit the ground wincing and twitching. "sonuva ..." she said, not realizing what she'd just done.

Ran ducked in order to avoid the tail-end of an incoming aether beam, almost feeling the beam dissipate overhead. "Motherfuck!" Grabbing a grenade tied to his armor, he pulled it off, also pulling the pin off in the process, and tossed it at the offending Crooked Demon. Ducking again to avoid any sort of return fire, the Chief got back up and sent three HE shells from his FGL at the Crooked Demon. Although his first grenade went accurately enough, the sudden flurry of plasma shooting through the air around him sent him diving back into the dirt.

"Who the fuck?!" Ran got back up, firing a few shots from the PLC at the Crooked to keep it suppressed. "What asshole doesn't know fucking muzzle control?! Damnit!" Ran kept as low to the ground as he could and started moving along the base of any increase in terrain he could find, staying well under the apex of such things so that he would not be hit outright. "Keep up the fire on the CDs and the thing's weapons, guys! Scatter if those fucking planes come around again! McCain, I could really use some FUCKING VIPERS out here!" Ran then attempted to contact the Viper pilots directly:

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU ASSHOLES?! ARE YOU DIDDLING EACH OTHER IN THE ASS OR SOMETHING?! GET TO LOW ALTITUDE AND HELP US, YOU FUCKS."

"Ah shit, you're down too Kagura?!" Harrison said loudly over the fireteam frequency. "Dammit dammit dammit... Hold on guys, I'm moving to your position. Kagura, can you move?" He inquired loudly, still hefting the weight of his PAL. A lance of bullets kicked up the sod at his feet, forcing him to a kneeling position.

"Fuck!" He shouted, noticing a Dark Demon a few hundred yards downwind from his position, his chaingun spinning up to speed to fire another burst at the currently immobile Harrison. 'Ah, crap.' Harrison thought to himself as he dodge-rolled the heavy armor right. The burst impacted his left leg. The majority of the rounds pinged off of his armored heel and calf, but a few bullets snaked through and burrowed, white-hot, into the merc's flesh.

"AAH, DAMNIT! I'M HIT!" Blood gurgled out of the bullet holes as Harrison went down, his advance halted, his position exposed. The Demon began to close in on his position, but it dissappeared in a ball of plasma from a haphazard PAL blast. The blast detonated nearby it, and when the shot dissipated, only half of the PA was still there- the left arm, a portion of the head and a nubby leg collapsed onto the turf nearby.

"MEDIC! GODDAMNIT!" He'd never been hit before, and quite frankly it stung like a bitch. He could only compare the pain to being stabbed with a white-hot iron poker that stabbed into his skin in three different places. Nevertheless, despite the bloody rings that were expanding down his left calf, the ex-merc managed to force himself to a half-laying, half-sitting position where he got a shot off at a tightly-knit cluster of three infantrymen before pulling himself towards the main line.

"MEDIC!" His left calf was covered in blood from the bullets, and the leg hung limp at his side as he made his way ever closer to the front lines and relative safety. 'Ah crap, this hurts a lot. I'm never getting shot again.'

"THIS FUCKING SUCKS!" His vision started to blur rapidly, and he was still far from close to the main position. His breathing echoed loudly in his ears, overshadowed by a heavy ringing. He continued his bent limp/crawl/roadie towards the frontlines, cursing rapidly under his breath.

Fay heard the call. "Sorry, sir," he said to Adrian, getting up even though the cauterizing was not yet finished. Before his superior could say anything, the other medic was already sprinting towards the wounded. The first one he reached was Kagura. After a moment of inspection, her only apparent injury had not even pierced her armor. The Geshrin/Nepleslian concluded that her arm was fine, it only unusable for a while.

Fay whispered a "Stay safe, ma'am" to her before heading over to Harrison, who was noticeably bleeding from his left leg. "Stay still," the slightly panting medic ordered. There seemed to be three wounds in total, but it was yet uncertain to him how deep they are and if any arteries, nerves, or bones were struck. "Have your armor administer some morphine to you pronto, marine! I'll try to stop the bleeding as soon as possible," he stated while reaching into his medical bag for some things. That's about the time he felt a trickling down his own PA. Damn... I'm bleeding again.. he thought to himself as his work began.

Dumbass'll probably bleed out. "Keats! Get on fixing those fucking armors when Fay's done! Rose, Henry's hit, get to him. Newman, you're with me. We got a Mindy to shut down."

Adrian released one of the tactical drones from his back hangar, which quickly went to surveying the enemy formation. The medic darted to his right, making sure to stay low. Once he had moved about 100 meters, he stuck his high-powered CR over the hill, targeted one of the Crooked Demons, and let loose a flurry of the lethal armor-penetrating explosive canisters.

"Newman, set up one of those fancy shield things, and lay down some fuckin' fire on a CD. And HURRY. They know where we are."

"Just give me the damn morphine and wrap it up, i'll be fine!" Were Harrison's only words. Fay's inspection would reveal that the bullets had somehow managed to bypass the energy shielding around the armor, then slip through a gap in the armor near the knee joint.

The bullets had missed any major arteries, although one had come dangerously close to searing right through his left femoral artery. The bleeding originated from an incision made on the left leg where the second bullet had sheared past the femoral artery, putting a hole in it from which blood pumped profusely.

Of course, Harrison didn't know this. He was more than content to worry about shooting the damned reds.

Downtown is a busy place, and this is how they do it, apparently. Maybe in Funky city...

Once again, not that it had started up again, but oh well, the artillery ceased fire. The shells, mind. The Hoplites mean while, though, rained pods once again on the marines... Although both Hoplites slowed down. Adrian and Fay would get lock ons as the Hoplites' gunpods, which had a tendency to kill marines in one hit with a lock on, proceeded to lock on.

Oddly annoying, that.

Meanwhile, a shuttle in the background with the same noise as the one way back when... About... six minutes ago, actually, came into hearing. Not vision, though, as it was on the other wise of the outpost and out of view. Although, it could be something else other then the reinforcements that would further cause the painz to the marines' well being.

"Roger that!" Came a voice of one of the pilots -- A male -- to Ran. One of the Vipers burst through, while the other three apparently were still lifting off or something.

Noteably, the Bringer of Thunders' fire, both of them, ceased firing on the marines.

Instead, the Viper almost the moment it arrived on scene flipped over as series of explosions from the High explosive shells hitting the Viper, as well as everything else, caused it to flip over almost comically and slam into the ground of the 'No mans land'-esque area. A little past the infantry, away from the Marines. The thrusters on it quickly engaged to lift upwards... But... It was being thrown around (And downward) quite a bit...

It didn't even get a shot off.

The infantry that was fired upon Alice/Amelia DID seem to get hit, though! Mainly because there was a loud cry of utter pain as a bit of plasma hit one of the grunt's chest cavity, burning straight through to take off his rear end and a good portion of the man's leg. But he didn't die instantly, although shock would be sure to come. Well, it would be.

But the cries of absolute pain only lasted about three seconds before it was suddenly cut short by a gunshot. A pity shot from one of the other Reds onto their own...

Interestingly, the infantry now converged their fire on Amelia/Alice's position, sending bullets and, from one, energy onto her position.

The Aether from the CDs didn't stop, although one of them -- The one shot by a certain Adrian to be exact, broke from the steady walk. The Crooked Demon charged. With a flare of the ugly thing's thrusters, the large mass moved quickly across the field straight at Adrian, its vibro claws at the ready as the aether it usually fired continued, albeit at a much less accuracy.

Noteably, though, it had a rather large hole in its armor. Not straight through Adrian's shot did do a decent amount of damage to the frame and armor.

The Demons didn't change their tactic, staying quite content in the bunker they were sitting in, just sending bullets down on the marines. Supportive, if you will.

The Mindy, though... Oh... The cruel thing. Completely invisible (As were most things, sensors down and all) to their sensors, it sat there, still seemly not moving in the least... Watching. Taking cruel delight in watching the marines utterly suffer and die. The power armor's pilot stayed in the back, though, away from the battle... Savoring this. Or was s/he?

Placing an array of three barrier shields between him and the gunfire, Gyles boosted towards the two Dark Demon, before firing a single TRACER onto the BoT's ammo case. Should any friendly marines be in the vacinity, they should notice a massive sensor ping at the location, strong enough to override the jamming initiated by the Reds. Bullets were deflected or missed, but his shields were starting to wear thin.

He then boosted behind one of the CD's marking one with another TRACER and pounding the other in rear of the other with a rapid fire blast of plasma shots. He switched his barrier shields to cover his back and bailed off the the right to avoid the counter-attack from any one of the units he had angered.

"Targets marked! Take them out!"

Kagura shoved Fay away once her Ai began to operate her limp arm. "alright time to fuck them up somethin good" she said and deployed a tactical drone to help her get a track on the suppression fire by the demons' the bunker. "Man I'm glad I thought to bring one of these babies." she smirked and braced herself behind some cover. "Just hope it doesn't get picked off by AA with all the vipers around." she muttered.

Once she got a bead on it, she lifted one of her weapons carriers and aimed it up and with a loud burst, a bunker buster missile streaked up into the air, in a very high arc that would drop it squarely on the bunker's head.

She'd also begin belting out Chaingun rounds with her forearms at the CD charging Adrian, narrowly missing being grazed by an aether beam. She was blasting at it's leg's, namely the joints.

"COMEON, you assholes! Take out the fucking thing's main weapon so that another one of our fucking Vipers doesn't get taken out!" Ran raised the PLC to fire several quick shots at the targeting icon that was on the mobile frame's ammo pack, boosting to the side as small little geysers of dirt and grass erupted in a straight line, chasing the Chief as the Demons fired upon the Green that was aiming to destroy the heaviest piece of equipment they had on scene, only to be silenced by the deafening explosion coming from Kagura's bunker buster.

"Holy shit, Kagura!" Ran took note to survey the damage as much as possible, not being able to see through the debris how many casualties the Demons took. "Kagura! Aim for the tracer Gyles placed on that big motherfucker's ammo pack! Disable THAT and then we can kick these CDs in the balls!" As if making sure that the Crooked Demons didn't respond to his statement with beams of aether, the Chief wildly fired at the nearest one and launched another grenade from his FGL at it, in order to keep it suppressed. "ALL OTHER FIRES TARGET THE CROOKED DEMON."

The screeching of air power caught his attention, as the Hoplites came around to attack Adrian and Fay. "WEYNOLT! Shoot those motherfuckers down! Target the one in front with Arrows so the other has to break off to avoid the explosion!"

Kagura nodded to Ran. "It's my last one tho" she said and set herself up and used her fire control to lock in on the tracer on the ammo pack. "Eat this you giant ass." she said and let fire with the buster missile, sendng it streaking at wildly unsafe speeds to smash into the ammo pack with a nuclear warhead. "Not bad for someone with a paralyzed arm huh?" she said to Ran.

Hmm that mindy hasn't moved... She thought and got from cover for a moment and snapped some pictures of it, uploading them instantly to high command and live-feed videos. The tactical drone would also snap pictures and upload them through her AI to command as well.

Adrian fired several more rounds into the CD before turning his attention to the Hoplite in the air above. "Oh fuck. Fucker's got a lock on my position." He pushed back, and aimed his fore-arm mounted disc projector before letting off a dozen shots at the fighter.

=========

Several plasma bolts arced towards the Reds, most of them centered on the BoT, or at least what would be left of it following Kagura's bunker busters. Ian's fired his PAL as he tried to get in touch with the SMoDIN ships above.

"Goddamn it, you fuckheads! Give us some support! We're outnumbered as fuck down here!"

Absolutely nothing could ruin his day; not even a Hoplite locking in on him to rain down death and destruction.

...Shit.

Fay's AI warned him of the incoming doom just as he was about to work on Harrison. All he could do at the moment was stab a syringe of morphine into the marine's wound since his power armor's AI seemed to be malfunctioning as it should have already gave him some. After emptying the syringe, the medic tried to drag the wounded marine away from the imminent danger. "We got to get out of here," he explained to Harrison, "Someone's trying to target us..."
