Downtown is a busy place, and this is how they do it, apparently. Maybe in Funky city...
Once again, not that it had started up again, but oh well, the artillery ceased fire. The shells, mind. The Hoplites mean while, though, rained pods once again on the marines... Although both Hoplites slowed down. Adrian and Fay would get lock ons as the Hoplites' gunpods, which had a tendency to kill marines in one hit with a lock on, proceeded to lock on.
Oddly annoying, that.
Meanwhile, a shuttle in the background with the same noise as the one way back when... About... six minutes ago, actually, came into hearing. Not vision, though, as it was on the other wise of the outpost and out of view. Although, it could be something else other then the reinforcements that would further cause the painz to the marines' well being.
"Roger that!" Came a voice of one of the pilots -- A male -- to Ran. One of the Vipers burst through, while the other three apparently were still lifting off or something.
Noteably, the Bringer of Thunders' fire, both of them, ceased firing on the marines.
Instead, the Viper almost the moment it arrived on scene flipped over as series of explosions from the High explosive shells hitting the Viper, as well as everything else, caused it to flip over almost comically and slam into the ground of the 'No mans land'-esque area. A little past the infantry, away from the Marines. The thrusters on it quickly engaged to lift upwards... But... It was being thrown around (And downward) quite a bit...
It didn't even get a shot off.
The infantry that was fired upon Alice/Amelia DID seem to get hit, though! Mainly because there was a loud cry of utter pain as a bit of plasma hit one of the grunt's chest cavity, burning straight through to take off his rear end and a good portion of the man's leg. But he didn't die instantly, although shock would be sure to come. Well, it would be.
But the cries of absolute pain only lasted about three seconds before it was suddenly cut short by a gunshot. A pity shot from one of the other Reds onto their own...
Interestingly, the infantry now converged their fire on Amelia/Alice's position, sending bullets and, from one, energy onto her position.
The Aether from the CDs didn't stop, although one of them -- The one shot by a certain Adrian to be exact, broke from the steady walk. The Crooked Demon charged. With a flare of the ugly thing's thrusters, the large mass moved quickly across the field straight at Adrian, its vibro claws at the ready as the aether it usually fired continued, albeit at a much less accuracy.
Noteably, though, it had a rather large hole in its armor. Not straight through Adrian's shot did do a decent amount of damage to the frame and armor.
The Demons didn't change their tactic, staying quite content in the bunker they were sitting in, just sending bullets down on the marines. Supportive, if you will.
The Mindy, though... Oh... The cruel thing. Completely invisible (As were most things, sensors down and all) to their sensors, it sat there, still seemly not moving in the least... Watching. Taking cruel delight in watching the marines utterly suffer and die. The power armor's pilot stayed in the back, though, away from the battle... Savoring this. Or was s/he?
