Yoshida nodded and replied over comms to Navian "Understood! Waiting for orders!" She floated along side the ship as it traveled, waiting for Navian and the others to arrive. She realized he may have been a bit hasty in heading out right away all things considered. As the arrived out she moved up ahead with them, stopping at a breakneck speed into place. "So... You've fought before right? Any tips?"

10 meters, awaiting further command."
The people in the bridge may see her fly past as she holds her Beam Sword at ready
"Well I guess she's having fun."
She thought about how the infantry can be so laid back when they're basically going headfirst into what could very well be an unpleasant death. Sure they have cutting-edge protection but it doesn't make them invulnerable.

"It's a heavily outfitted Caravan! You'll have to get past the point defense weapons on it. Two on either side of the prow's hull and and two on the stern. Be careful!"
More information, better responses. Arb finally sends the computer a request to lock the weapons, giving improved accuracy and tracking.

"Orders understood. Where will be our point of entry, or are we teleporting in?"
Melissa begins to move for the Caravan.

"Get in through the hangar bay," Taii Eden ordered. "Move forward from there."

She was tense, hoping for the best and to get past this small obstacle with minimal casualties to hurtle forward towards mission success.

Misaki stood there, watching in silence before she started to rub her thumb and forefinger together on her right hand. She looked to the captain with a glance of slight worry and anxiety before looking back forward to the main viewscreen.

She gave a quiet 'Hmm' of thought before she continued to watch for anything on the displays. She thought of bringing up personal holographic displays but decided against it for the moment.

It took a bit of effort to phrase, but after a moment, Navian responded to Yoshida's request and gave her best assessment of how to follow their Taii's instructions given the data she had on the Caravan freighter. "My best 'tip' is, use your gear. I didn't have it on last time, and if you let your suit take some hits from those lasers, you'll be in the same state or worse.

"We're not outnumbered this time. If we act fast enough, we might keep it that way. We'll circle around to their rear, rush in and take on those point defense lasers as we go. Don't linger to shoot back, it's not worth it. The longer we take, the more time they'll have to shoot us down, and they don't need much. After we reach the hangar bay, we'll smash our way in. Any questions?"

"Several." Carter responded "What are our chances of disabling the defenses at range? And do we know their firing arcs?"

Yoshida nodded before remembering that no one would really see that through comms "Ah, got it, just go in fast, don't get it, and don't stop." While obviously not the sage advice she expected, it was better than nothing in her mind. Taking a few breathes, and shifting around slightly, it almost unnerved her how she heard nothing besides her own breathing, clothes scraping against the synthetic black interior of the mindy, and voices through comms. She wasn't sure just yet if she'd ever quite get used to that, but the incredible veiw almost made up for it. "We going in now or giving it a minute?"

Navian responded to Carter, "Such odds are minimal, their EM and gravitic barriers are running at full capacity. If we come in from the rear, we'll only have to deal with two." The firing arcs were shown on the tactical display. The only blind spots above the contours of the ship were in close above and below the vessel, but there were no clear points of entry in either location. Nearly everywhere else was covered by at least two of the point defense weapons.

To Yoshida, Navian says, "We go as soon as we've formed up and have a course locked in." Finally, she took note of the missing team member. "Meissa-Hei, that's not our target, and that ship is armed. You're already in range of their forward weapons--"

Anastasia, nervous for her comrades the out of direct orders, began to follow through the halls towards the bridge.

She quietly entered, standing idle near the entrance in the case she was as to leave. She decided now isn't the best time to interrupt the Captain's officers, internally debating over whether handing in routine service reports was important at a time of focus like this.

Meissa speaks up.
"Concerning 'smashing in.' Plastic explosive or aether beam?"

"Allright! Waiting n the others then." As she waited, she started doing some more stretches, even as she was checking out the firing arcs, watching for the least covered paths to the enemy hanger, or areas where she could dive in and out of their firing arcs easier.

After a moment of silence, Carter replied. "Understood. Ready to move on your mark."

Meanwhile, inside the armor, Carter's mind was hard at work, studying whatever details he could see on the wreck, taking careful note of the overlap on the point defense array's firing arcs, and planning his approach once they actually breached the ship.

"Breath, Carter. Stay focused. You can do this." He thought to himself.

"Mmmmm," Sakamoto playfully pondered. Her feet idly kicked about, ever so gently. "Hmmmmmmm."

"Teien-taii, this ship failed to respond to hails, and has no transponder signal, correct?" she asked, her smooth voice pawing at the younger woman's ears. "I have to wonder, with their attempted pursuit, if this is some sort of trap," Sakamoto suggested. "Would sending in drones first be a better idea? Even checking this Caravan's registry numbers might give some insight as to what it was doing last."

Hearing the conversation going on in the bridge only fed into Shan's nerves more, her left wing twitching again. Some internal thoughts and before its feathers had settled her right wing twitches in a similar way.

"Run the registry numbers," Teien Eden said to Asuka. To Takamoto she said, "We've sent in a team and that's what we'll use."

Meissa quickly dives out of the way.
"Whoops."
She moves back to the group this time(you unattentive idiot).

Bridge

Asuka agreed, enthusiastically. "Alright! Where are their registry numbers? They're not in the usual place, are they painted over?"

Hmm.

In Front of the Caravan

The point defense turrets on the Caravan's prow turned toward Meissa as she was speaking. She only had the briefest warning from her AIES of a sensor lock before the point defense lasers came blazing in. Even while she was evading, one of the dozen shots that came as she cleared range disrupted her barrier field as it passed through.

Her sensors were blinded and her comms crackled out almost immediately, though her suit was intact and its internal systems still fully functional. Perhaps most important of the new informing now displayed on her AIES was that her combined field system had been temporarily knocked offline, something the system seemed to consider some cause for alarm.

The incoming fire trailed off, and her field began to recuperate, though she still seemed to be having some issues with sensors and comms, and was not receiving telemetry from her drone.

Rally Point

Navian watched Meissa's escape with some tension, as the infantry team more-or-less gathered. She let out the breath she'd been holding once the fire had ceased and MEGAMI had pieced together a damage report. "Let's assemble... We have a clear plan of attack. If we find the hangar bay closed off, Aether sabers should suffice. If not, use whatever you have. They won't be able to fire on us once we're on top of the bay doors, unless they've installed smaller turrets there. If they have--destroy them."

She gets in front of Navian and says "Mic check, mic check. Sensors and comms have issues currently after that hit. One of my drones got taken out as well."
