OOC YSS Kaiyō II Discussion

Couple quick things guys. First, most everyone's got it already, but make sure to always put your character's location at the top of your post. I like to bold/italic it so it stands out, too. Since we're all split into teams, you should include your team name there as well. Otherwise we're going to get really confused. Also, try to put your character's name within the first few sentences, first paragraph at least, so it's easy to keep track of who's acting. Although I've slacked off on that one myself sometimes.

Also, @Burgmond45 you've mentioned opening your helmet a few times, but I don't think the Mindys actually do that? I've always been led to believe that it's a solid helmet that just goes on or off. No faceplate or anything to pop up and down. I couldn't find any mention of it on the wiki page either. I haven't seen pics like that either, they've all either got full helmet on or no helmet in sight. But, someone correct me if I'm wrong here. It might be covered somewhere I'm not looking.

I do know you can use the projection abilities to basically make the helmet invisible so people can see your face, though. That's come up in RP a few times.

@Reynolds I just checked the wiki, and you're right, there is absolutely no removable faceplate mentioned on there. The best you can do is remove the helmet. Not sure where I even got that from, honestly.

I'll edit that in a couple of minutes, because those kinds of shenanigans are impossible. XD

Cool, glad to know I wasn't totally off base when I noticed that. With how many models of things we go through, I thought maybe it had been upgraded at some point and I'd just missed it. The tricks with volumetrics can be really handy, too.

When you post JPs please follow this format
Post-Mission Number: Your Title is Here
Notice that longer words, ones that are around three or more letters, are capitalized while smaller ones are not unless they start the title or are directly after the colon. The number is written out instead of a number (ie. it is twelve, not 12). "Pre-Mission" or "Post-Mission" are the only prefixes and should be used as well as hyphenated and capitalized.

Luv ya all

Hey, people. I just decided to drop in and let everyone know that I'm back. If you don't remember me, I played Able on the During Mission Ten thread. I had to take a leave because of real life stuff, but I'm back now, and when I saw that the plot had returned to the forum, I felt like I should come back. hope to participate in the next mission thread, and I apologize that I kinda bounced without notice.

This is very avänt ɡärd of me, but if your characters' pages are not updated by the next mission, there will be... consequences.

No pressure but just like put in quotes from RP and/or anecdotes for every mission they took part in. Make sure that their rank, occupation, blood-lust, and demon presence are all accounted for. Social connections and inventory can go with sprucing up, too. For finances, your characters can opt out of payment and use the prestige system or just crunch the numbers. Make sure medals are updated too! If your character page is all up to date and you're looking for something to do??? Add a few theme songs! Already done that? Add a new section, "Service Record" if Kaiyo is not your character's only plotship. That's a few ideas, but let me know about any more!

I sometimes try and fail to pinpoint when a mission will end. I have no real time estimate because the mission rests in the hands of the players. There will be a quick jump from mission to mission, though, as we're in a time of intense war ICly and don't have time for R&R or a debrief AND briefing.

That's something, though. We could have one a briefing. If you guys have any desire for a pre-mission briefing, we can do that, but it usually sucks up players' time and energy and is boring for the most part.
