In-character news and updates from all over the Star Army universe!
Peaceful civilian protests ocurred throughout the United Outer Colonies today in response to the attack on Halna, sending a message of malcontent with the actions led by the Mistress-Taisho and supported by the Empress. They were joined by a small number of Star Army Enlisted, since hastily recalled to duty, but the response from the 5th XF's Command as well as the UOC government has been neutral at this time. "While I support our Empress, I feel that if there was a terrorist threat, there was a better way to avoid it," says Yuuki Naka, NH-29, age 3. "The Star Army of Yamatai has not only the greatest technology in the known universe, but also one of the greatest intelligence institutions, if rumors are correct. To know of a...
The Nepleslian news started, flashing lights, heavy metal. It cut quickly to the blonde newscaster so familiar to most Nepleslians. "Earlier today, word came into our offices of a Yamataian military action on the world of Halna. Although details on the cause of the operation are currently hazy, Star Army forces, without a doubt, murdered at least several hundred thousand Freespacer civilians in the operation, as well as many more non-'Spacers in at least one orbital bombardment on a population center." The usual video screen hanging next to the anchor's head appeared, replaying some footage from the video transmission from the Freespacers on Halna that was widely broadcast throughout known space already. "Although word from the DIoN...
The screen remained black, before the planetary banner of Khorsovarolor faded into view, waving in a breeze. Gillian Manufacturing's logo appeared superimposed over the flag before the image faded to reveal Terry Gillian standing behind a podium erected in front of a blue curtain. "We have just received word of an incident on our doorstep on the moon of Halna. While we will not confirm or deny the rumors that are even now spreading the office of the General-Secretary has authorized me to extend the olive branch. "As of now thirty of our large transports are en route to the moon carrying supplies and materials to assist in whatever rebuilding efforts are necessary; at the same time they will be loading refugees for transport to...
Terrorist Threat Purged Halna System - Forces of the First Expeditionary Fleet launched a surprise attack on hostile terrorist faction known as the Freespacers, who were hiding just outside Yamataian space. The Freespacers had recently begun to invade parts of Halna, an unaffiliated system inhabited primarily by illegals, in preparation to attack the civilian infrastructure of Yamatai. The attack was a resounding success, with the military performing a massive door to door search and rounding up all the Freespacer militants. Causalities other than Freespacers were minimal, despite Freespacer terrorists' attempts at setting off nuclear devices in civilian cities. The Freespacers were recently discovered to be hostile when they...
A ID-SOL appears on the screen and walks up, in a totally barren white room. He waves, speaking in a light tone which seems weird for his size. "Hello. The system is back on line. The device has not been modified." The picture would suddenly chance to that of... Well, the universe, suddenly zooming in and about, eyeing planets, moon, and so on. All to the sound of rock and roll in the back ground, and then... a Flute... That had a techno feel to it. Then the image would be changed to a news room with a News desk with a monitor and a human woman, although the exact race isn't exactly tellable... Not a neko, though. The Monitor, though, Had a ... Chibi. Truthfully it was something like MEGAMI, a civilian version of the same sort of...
