I don't mean before submitting Wes. I'm talking about getting approval, because if you get approval for 1 person then change something you have to ask for approval again. And then you end up with having to constantly ask for re approval every change until it's done and it annoys everyone who has to keep coming back. That may be your opinion, but IIRC SARP's rules allow unfinished submissions to be submitted, and they also allow changes to be made based on community feedback in the submission thread.
Is this the case @Wes ? And if so, what are my rights as one of it's founders?
To the best of my knowledge, there aren’t any “Creator Rights” or “Founder Rights” on the wiki, @CadetNewb.
By this metric, are all current independent corporation and planets going to need to find a faction banner to reside under?
I too have concerns, as an independent content creator, as to what myself and other independent creators, as well as international corporations, such as Akemi's can look forward to. Are we to expect RP tariffs and sanctions, or some other U.N. oversight?
I like the idea of this, but it does pose a problem as to what happens with frontier businesses that might end up breaking regulations and/or refusing to work with someone. A good example would be if Ken-TEC were to go out to the Colonial Expanse and start working with non-aligned planets (which do exist within the setting), but then started breaking laws that would warrant expulsion from Nepleslia. But if they didn't want to work/gain a license from any other faction, it does create a problematic thing.I guess a realistic solution (as in taken from IRL law) would be to have the factions issue business licenses. A corp could be licensed in multiple factions. A license could be revoked if the corp is engaging in activities that violate the issuing nation's laws. Unlicensed businesses couldn't legally sell stuff or operate in the nations that don't want them there.

The complete removal of independent possibility is good for the sake of ensuring no companies pulls and Origin and has all its plots/creators basically stop RPing/creating, but it does create problems for independent scenarios that might provide interesting RP in the cases that people don't abandon their corporations. It's not a bad way to point how this basically works, though, that corporations get licensed. Just need to figure out if we really want to essentially cripple the idea of a nation going completely rogue and off the rails if their creators are active and can make a non-affiliated/non-licensed vendor.
That's my point. The idea suggested for licenses is definitely a hard decision. While the RP is there, it almost never happens from what I've seen and doesn't have much more reason than it CAN be good RP as to why we wouldn't take the fastest route of categorizing every company.Interesting that you say that, this is already done with the Neshies. Although do bare in mind that corporations can be rather sneaky and hide their illicit business (there's a Neshie corp doing that right now, but no one yet is aware of this)
I feel something like this actually creates the potential for RP and would actually be a good thing, as it would create scenario's for players to take part of. However, for the sake of things, probably would still be best to be listed under a faction.
