Koharu inwardly frowned but nodded, "You're right, Yuriko, last thing we want is to get killed in the wings but in the off chance that the station needs to be evacuated and they can't get escape... Either way, we'd be taking collateral damage. But we're ready to go. All weapons are online, torpedoes are loaded and we're ready to fire on your mark."

Yuriko heaved a sigh, and sat in her chair. Such commands would crop up from time to time it seemed. She squeezed her eyes shut for a few moments, then opened them again. Getting a direct communications line to Sumaru, she spoke. "Sumaru-kun, please hurry and retrieve the new crewmember ASAP." She left the line open for him as her lips compressed into thin lines.

"I said we may have to leave her I did not say we were not going to attempt to retrieve her first. I do not leave crew behind without at least making an attempt."

Caine would get the order to scramble for the armor pilots and would hurry out of the Asuka. On his way down he'd divert to the medbay to make a ST backup before going down out to the bay to suit up. Once that was finished, he'd heard out barking orders to protect Kanon to the sprites as he rushed out toward the Hotaru's armor bays. He'd actually start to strip as he got near to it and would be into his SARAH relatively quickly, this intimidating black and red armor carrying a massive scythe. Caine's attitude also shifted from friendly and easy going to brutal and cruel, sharply giving the order to the other 17th members.

"We're going to make them regret even thinking of coming here." He told them. "And drive thier floating piles of space puke back to their sewer." Caine said, getting a a general cheer from the pre-trained armored nekos. He'd continue to bolster and work them up. Within a few moments the doors of the Hotaru would open to launch the wings, and the 17th made it's appearance with characteristic aggression, almost immediately opening fire on the enemy pods.

They were all skilled pilots and their coordinated movements to destroy their enemy were already being displayed. "Go to Bay 16!" he told them and slashed and ripped his way through the enemy, shooting them down as well using sparing missile volleys as they headed for it. All their movements were geared toward defending the station and would move in concert with it as they got to the Bay in question quickly.

The Wing would form up into a large phalanx formation and laid down a vicious volley of suppressing fire.

Kessah sighed a little as she looked over all the systems on the Asamoya, shaking her head a little. All seems fine... She nodded to herself after a moment in approval and input a few commands to divert power a little better before she sent her Shoi a telepathic message, after a moment of hesitation.

"Shoi-iko, All systems seem fine. I didn't get the chance to do much looking into why there was a failure while we were out here, though. And... Shoi-iko is horrible. Sorry."

(I have been granted control of still other than TF-50 for this post from CB, since I only control 3 assault capable ships + Hotaru which are out on the field, and we are both in agreement on this action.

Also, I do not see Yaichiro leaving perfectly good ships from the Biaranko strike inside the fortresses. As such, I will have him assume command of these vessels. CB concurs.)

Yaichiro was issuing telepathic orders left and right...including one order which sent two Sprites in Mindys out to scoop up the dawdling Zarthe-Heisho...who should have gone on the ship when he was first told to. He'd deal with him later. As the bays began to clear, Yaichiro issued several communications...

"...To all ships currently ready for duty for Operation Nami no Seigi, prepare to depart for combat! Generate crews! Load Weapons! If you haven't an assigned CO, default to IES control! I am assuming command of the Operation Nami no Seigi force. Coordinate! All forces prepare your armors and Weapons Pods for launch! If you've got fold systems, warm them up!"

As the ships began to charge up their resources, Yaichiro smiled as the all green light came on...the people inside had safely evacuated.

"Asamoya, this is Kage-Taii. Thank you for your assistance...We can depart safely now. Please disengage your Graviton Beams, and I wish you luck and good hunting."

In a command issued from the Himitsu's XO, the TF-51 force and the Himitsu folded, in addition to their own forces and Hotaru's, to form a line perpendicular to the Hotaru line. The planet was the fulcrum of this 90 degree angle...and the enemy was situated within the hypotenuse. After the line was formed, local interdiction fields were activated to inhibit the fold 'n' run tactic from which the Command Group had just suffered...

This also saved Hotaru and its forces from taking unwanted fire.

A full 200 wings of Power Armor, 100 wings a side, arched upwards and downward, above and below the line of fire between the line and the Mishhu, and attempted to attack enemy armors in a pincer within a pincer...

This was obviously intended not only to keep Power Armor out of the line of fire, but trap enemy Mishhu Pods within this 2 dimensional plane.

All the while, the 29 Nozomi of TF-51 as well as the two Star Fortresses fired the new Type 29 Main Guns and the Aether Shock Arrays respectively, sending pulses of aether-based death as far as 2 AU into Pod and Warship alike.

Yaichiro continued to speak, this time sending out a general transmission to allied forces.

"This is Kage Yaichiro Taii, ordering the launch of Nami no Seigi ships prepared for battle under my command, both in Hotaru and Himitsu. Should a higher ranking officer wish to assume command of them, by all means, but I will not have these ships sitting in dock if they can fight."

The remaining 31 bays of Hotaru and Himitsu opened, and dozens of ships began to fly forth from them. As their Interdiction Drives activated, Power Armors staffed by Sprites adding to the already massive force. Any efforts to infiltrate the bay doors were met with heavy resistance, the doors closing behind the ships...

Yaichiro, waiting for Asamoya to release her grip, opened a channel to the first four Irims launched...he knew the enemy's fold systems wouldn't be recharged yet, and elected to take advantage.

Moments after receiving Yaichiro's order, four Irims used their folding systems to swarm the enemy force...they each took aim at the force from different angles so as not to shoot each other or be hit by the Aether Weapons littering the area, and released a barrage of Hellish fleet weapon on the force. Their main target was the battleship, but it was entirely possible, if not probable, that other vessels and Power Armor would get destroyed in the crossfire.

The Irims escaped as soon as they'd finished firing using their fold systems, but not before leaving a little gift--their full loadout of Weapons pods, 720 for each ship, attacking whatever Mishhu pods and vessels they could get shots against.

Noboru launched into battle inside Bay 16. He tracked down a Mishhu Ripper and sighted in on it, steadied his aim, and fired! The Ripper's right arm flew off and landed in a shredded heap of flesh beside it. Infuriated, the Mishuu turned on him. It jumped at Noboru, attempting to kill him with a melee strike, but Noboru shot first and put a hole through it from the top to the bottom.

The Asamoya released her hold on the Bay Sixteen doors, the Graviton Beam projectors de-activating, and allowing them to open on their own now.

"I wish the same for you Taii," Yuriko replied, and closed the channel as she looked to Koharu. " They'd better hurry Koharu-chan..." She said, a little worried now at just what was on the other side of the Bay Sixteen doors.

Himitsu's AL2-1 through AL2-100 arched around the bottom of the force, as its AL2-101 through AL2-200 arched around the top. It took a matter of seconds for a full 200,000 armors to take positions along the 3-D pincer formation and open fire upon the enemy...

(This isn't a new action as much as elaboration on my last post...it's a 3-D sort of pincer formation. AL2 means Armor Lamia 2, since there are two types of Lamia.)

Meanwhile, Bay 16's doors began to open, and Yaichiro began to form Asuka's weapons pods as well as those on the Arashi in the bay with him...he saw the 17th outside providing cover, and smiled.

"Thanks for keeping things secure, Ionoche-Shoi! I really appriciate it! Can you continue to do so with us until a Sakura arrives and takes the SEMs, or do you plan to jump right into the thick of it?"

The 17th continued it's defense of teh bay and moved out of the way of the ships to allow them through but were being careful not to let the enemy get into the bay. The Sensors of teh Asuka and the Asamoya would be lit up with the amount of explosions occuring outside of the bay. The 17th was doing it's job with large amounts of success thanks to the armors they had, using the Aether rifles and melee weapons to deal with the pods. Caine slashed through a line of them with his scythe and blinked, hearing the comm.

"How long do you expect them to take Yaichiro?" Caine asked in a short, terse tone as he shot down another few pods with his rifle.

Yaichiro noticed Noboru outside of the Asuka, and sighed...

"Noboru-Hei, return. Let the 17th handle this! Only the experienced should do battle this close to Hotaru! Wait until Asuka moves out!"

He replied to Caine, promptly...

"We will wait just a little longer for Tange-Shosho-Shi to respond and deploy a Sakura. If not, I'll call one from the queue and put Kokoro-Juni on its bridge..."

Yuriko just bit her bottom lip a bit while she waited. The Shoi was a little anxious to help the Fifth out, not wanting to see too many of her comrades, some of them possibly friends who survived Taii to die out there. She was having a small conflict of emotions between waiting for the new crew member, never leaving a crew member behind or trying not to, and assisting the Fifth in repelling the SMX forces.

"'Tenshi, launch the power armor wing, and join up with a group outside, I am giving this new crew member five more minutes. If she is not here by then we're going...and by then I want you to form up on us again, and keep us covered from battle pods."

On the Asamoya, Koharu inwardly smiled at Yuriko's order to Tenshi, it was a good compromise. She did hope that Sumaru hurried up, they were running out of time. "I had MEGAMI spawn the NIWS so that in the event of boarding, she's already here."

"Good, excuse me for a moment." Yuriko got up, and exited the bridge to only return a few minutes later with a Burst Rifle in her hand. "I am not taking any chances that a Ghost Mishhuvurthyar boards us."

The Shoi loaded a battery into the rifle, and there was a little hum from it as it entered and then went silent again. She took a seat, and placed the rifle right beside her, and checked her NSP. Once done, Yuriko sat back down.

Eriko forced her way in; the lift to the NECTAR not even fully opened as she dashed to the centre of Hotaru. Vaulting the barrier that separated the command table from the rest of the room, she crashed into her chair. SPINE wired her wandering mind directly to the heart of the Fifth; the room exploded into life as the most powerful volumetric displays in the fleet suddenly began cycling through information faster than the untrained eye could see.

The barest flicker of attention approved of the Himitsu’s course of action and the entire station and all the surrounding ships deftly dodged their enemy’s initial volley by thousands of miles. Eriko watched as the incandescent arcs of death from their fleet sought the initial wave of enemy forces that had sought to wreak havoc inside their lines. And somewhere inside those streaks of light were hundreds of thousands of armours prepared to engage in violent, bloody combat.

There would be no one to hear the screams...

With a simple command, the massive Star Fortresses and their escorts deployed their weapon pods; 24,000 machines from the Hotaru alone configured into Transphasic beam projectors. To support the Himitsu’s double pincer, Eriko launched another 200 wings into combat with the same formation from a different axis. Their attack would be coordinated to perfection by the battle-net.

She watched as 4 Irim Gunships performed a fold strike against the enemy command group; her face twisted into a wicked grin. Miyamae Eriko licked her lips. She dared the command group to dodge – for the battleship and its escorts to try and escape a swift death. WARMS would tell her if they tried; WARMS would direct the Fifth’s 18 Yui-class Scout Destroyers to fire their shield-based projected aether beams into the reappearing battleship and carriers. What’s more, the entire Ascendancy Command group and every Irim in the Assault Task Force were poised to strike without warning.

No one would here the screams of the dying…

A dozen chibi megami probes were fired from the Hotaru’s launching bays and sped to the outer edges of the system. Triangulation from their sensors would further coordinate the massive –IES system and, more importantly, it would monitor the outer edges of the system and track any fleeing vessels should pursuit become necessary.

Caine responded to Yaichiro as teh 17th kept up their cover fire, taking very little damage as their weapons tended to have greater range or the shields protecting them. "Fine, just hurry up." He said as he had the 17th hold position as defenders. He'd send a similar message to the Asamoya. "Asamoya, this is Ionoche, CO of the 17th. Are you alright?" He checked on them, slashing a couple more pods down.

Sumaru changed his back equipment and then used his A-IES to get the location of the Asamoya's new crew mate from PANT-IES and locked on to her location, once the machine charged up and translocated it self in a matter of seconds. Sumaru snatched the neko and then ported again without even a single word. Once back on board the Asamoya, he made sure to notify command that the two of them were on board. "Sumaru-hei here, I have the new member. We're good to go." He announced then let go of the girl.

"Welcome back, Sumaru. Report in to Tenshi once you're ready to deploy," the crimson eyes executive officer telepathically messaged Sumaru as she gave Yuriko a thumbs up. "We got our crew, ready for deployment, Yuriko."

Koharu opened a channel to Yumiko and quickly said, "Sorry for the abruptness, report to the bridge, we'll get you armed, Matsumoto."

Yumiko waited, and waited, for what seemed to her like -forever-, for this mysterious PA pilot to show up and whisk her off to the Asamoya. But when he finally did, she was unprepared. Of course, she'd seen them as images, in both 2d and 3d during her training, but when this one appeared before her in a flash of light, and made a move to grab her, she almost panicked. It was startling! A mechanical humanoid appearing like that, grabbing her, and not even taking the time to make a greeting? But, the only thing she could do was stay still and vanish along with him when he teleported back to the Asamoya.

She managed to let out a breath of relief, and straighten herself out. Suddenly, she found herself recieving a message. "On my way." was her immediate telepathic reply. Once she was composed, she went on her way, swiftly following the directions MEGAMI gave her.

Minutes later, she stepped onto the bridge. Somehow, she hid her surprise at being in such an important place at this crucial time, and stood at attention... mostly. The situation was slightly overwhelming after all. "Matsumoto Yumiko, reporting for..." She paused, and glanced to the side, remembering the message and what she was on the bridge to do. "... weapons!" She perked, and focused on Koharu and Yuriko once again. This was real combat. On her first day of active duty, too...

Koharu was hooked into Asamoya's pilot's seat on the lower portion of the deck. "You're in for a exciting first day, Matsumoto-Hei. Unfortunately, as a caretaker, your duties here will mostly be to help defend against invasion by a boarding party and assist the medical staff with any incoming casualties."

Kichiro burst into the Wardroom, a bottle of pills clutched in one hand, and the Type 28 in the other. "Pardon my intrusion, but those of you that aren't sober should take these. I hear they're not terrible to take, and we need everyone on the ship in working condition." He said quite relaxedly, uncapping the bottle.

I don't want to see anyone on this ship die.

"If you're not going out in power armor, you should probably pick up some weapons from the Armory. We're expecting borders."
