RP: Yome Ismâopate [Mission 1.1] Whom fortune favors - Recon

La'tâ stepped in after Murr and was about to start firing when she saw Memi shooting around wildly. That wasn't safe at all, especially with unknowing chemicals in the room. She didn't have time to approach him carefully and stop him, after all they did just engage the enemy. So instead she quickly opened a closed channel with him and send him a loud feedback tone to try to snap him out of it. That was all she could do because the rest of her attention went to firing her rifle on burst at one of the crabs, making sure to place all three hits as well ash she could, then after wards using her plasma canon just to burn the body to make sure it doesn't revive or something. Being the last one into the room gave her just the fraction of a second she needed to keep herself from going wild and make such calm decision.

Keyul watched with satisfaction as his weapons fired. But any trace of a smile left his face when Memi started firing wildly. When his Stako systems showed that his unit had been struck by several of the Kynlumu'a fired rounds.

He keyed his comm system and growled. "Siamaka curse you Sâvyjo Memi Sotar you shot everything except for the enemy including my Stako. Switch your rifle to synch mode, that will keep you from firing on friendly targets. "

He did a double check to ensure that none of the vital systems was compromised. He then switched the magazine on his own rifle and prepared to move out.

Murr darted ahead of Keyul to provide cover as he was reloading, seeing the scarring on his once pristine mech, She tapped in a quick text message to La'ta, :: Visual check Pack Leader, report 2 him status:: Sent it off as she slipped on the greasy goo covered floor as her Stako feet flew out from under her and crashed to the floor, sending up a spray of green goo. Causing her to send an accidental burst up into the pipes, dislodging the third but now wounded Mish Crab from ambush to crash land right on her...

La'tâ stopped her fire seeing that it seemed like everything had stopped moving at the moment. She did a quick check to make sure everything was down. Upon seeing Murr's text she moved forward and looked over Keyul's stako, using her sensors to help her look and make sure there is no significant damage.

Keyul reached over and grabbed the crab Mishhu off of Murr. Once it was clear, he fired several bursts into it to ensure it was truly dead. He turned his attention to the passage ahead of them, and looked at the damaged pipes above. 'Well that could have gone better, but at least no one was injured. That's a good start to a combat situation. He keyed his mic, "Everyone okay?" he inquired. He took a step forward and switched on the lamps on his Stako. He panned it back and forth looking for any other sign of hostiles nearby. But for the moment the passage way was clear. 'Well, depending on how sound carries in this place, any other Defilers will know we are here. And if the sound carries, perhaps the Tin-To'a and the other will have heard it and be warned.

Murr slowly got up, thankful for the assist in getting the Mishhu off of her. She sent a text message to Keyul, :: only my prides been hurt, Everything is good. need new paint job for the stako. :: Turning on her lamps adding her light along with Keyul's. She squatted again as she waited for the signal to proceed. She ran scans on the green goo. She looked thoughtful as she looked at the chemical make up of the green goo.

Toes on her Stako feet began to tap softly as she studied and recorded the Green Goo. Thankfully and hopefully it wasn't acidic. It was a high edible protien compound converted from plants. This would be a boon to their society to help with feeding the population and able it to expand the population greatly given time.

La'tâ looked around the room curious about the pipes and what's leaking from them as well. She responded to the message though "I'm fine...should we look into what these pipes are for before progressing? They could be a fire hazard." She decides she doesn't need to keep hidden too well anymore because the sound probably echoed so she does an emissions scan to see if she can pick up any possible lifeforms in the area to see if anyone is approaching them.

Thoroughly chastised, Memi switched on the system that he was order to turn on. And with a bit of trouble he swapped out the magazine from the weapon. He hated the fact he was here, and hated the fact he was failing. He allowed himself to fall further behind the group to stay out of the way. At lest there he would be able to record the victorious and skilled team.

Moving forward the weapon stayed up and scanning, when the rest of the group started firing again, he would hold his firing, fearing he would just make matters worse, again.

The life scan showed a number of unidentified life forms then after further analysis marked them as Mishhu.

Keyul looked at the pipes with their various damage and some dripping and others not. None of the dripping seemed to react to the burning husks of the Defilers.

"Does not look to be flammable, and even if were the Stako would protect us. We learned a few lessons in that exchange and everyone is okay. So as long as we apply what we learned we should be good. Let's move further down this passage until we come to a junction." He said across the communications and started moving forward. As he walked he visually scanned the passage they were in and where he looked his rifle followed.

About 25 meters down the passage they came upon some skeletons. They were not Defiler bodies, but were homonid. He offered a brief prayer to Siamaka that their spirit find their way home to their people. Another 100 meters down the passage entered a cross junction, with three other directions they could go. The junction was about twice as wide as the passage way. He stopped three steps short of the junction.

Murr gave everyone a written report on what the green goo was. ::An edible protien supplement from plant organics. It was non flammable, nor acidic. :: When Keyul took off, she moved after him in a staggered position scanning her side of the corridor. Covering him. Seeing the Skeletons of some humaniod. She took vids recordings as she kept her rifle at ready, with her barrel pointed at the floor, ready to bring up into firing when needed. She came to a stop next Ketul, when he stopped.

La'tâ moved along after Murr, since she her rear guard for this operation. Taking note about what was said about the green stuff as well, it sounded rather interesting, she would have to investigate it further once things were safe. "Scans are picking up several life signs, Defilers." She spoke over the comms, keeping alert, her rifle ready to fire at any moment. However her primary concern was still on keeping the unit in good condition, and she looked over to Memi to check on him, he had been quiet this whole time and it was a little worrying, so she sent him a communication "Memi? Is everything alright?"

Junction

Keyul took a step into the junction and looked to the left and the right. His Stako lamps illuminating the passage ways. So far there was no sign of the enemy. This rather than comfort him made him more nervous. The Defilers were tricky at best, and deadly swift otherwise. He motioned for the others to join him. "Okay folks everyone together and keep an eye out on these passages. "La'tâ, keep an eye on those Defilers, try to get a fix and numbers. If they are moving they might lead us to the others. Or they may be coming here. If so sing out." he sent to the team.

Memi looked at the relative open space of the junction with dread. Who knew what might come charging out of those black maws. It was with some reluctance he started moving forward. "I'm fine Sar-Qoji... Will be glad when we are out of this place." he replied privately.

Murr quickly looked over her inventory and looked around the area. She typed a quick message to Keyul. :: I can lay in traps to block the passages that we don't use to prevent the Cursed Defilers getting behind us. I got my EOD tools to lay in a trap. Brave and Wise Hunt Leader. May Siama Rayu and the Eight guide my paws to bring Honor to our Pack. :: Murr smiled predatory as she looked over the structure to lay in her deadly trap For the cursed Defilers.

La'tâ gave a quick confirmation to Keyul and continued her emission scans. However she narrowed the scan area to focus mainly on the area the defilers were in, leaving enough leeway to see them move. This way she could increase the accuracy and detail of the scan without taking too much time and power. "Should we take formation from here, to prepare for ambushes?"

Junction

La'tâ's sensors started giving a count of the NMX. The detector was showing over 30 clearly identified. They were moving through passages, and it was possible there were more than what were indicated because of the interference of the structure.

Keyul considered the situation. This location while not ideal would give them the best place to engage the Defilers. More so if they could put some charges to detonate when the Defilers came here. At least from what he could see there was one direction they did not have to worry about. There were no ducts or openings above the junction.

"Okay Murr, set your changes on the east and west passages. I don't want you to collapse those passages, but set the charges so that they will kill as many of the defilers. That will leave us the passage we came in through and the north one as ways we can move. Be swift about it." Keyul sent across the comm.

He turned to Memi, the Chronicler was out of his element, but as a member of the crew he needed to support his team. "Memi, I understand that this is not what you were expecting. Take a position here and cover the way we come in. Let me know the moment you see anything moving that is not one of us."

Murr squatted her Stako facing east with it's powerful lights shining down the passageway. She unstrapped and got out, leaving it on full power incase she ran out of time and needed to get back in a hurry. She grabbed her EOD Kit from it's stored location. She padded ten meters up the passageway, when she found the ideal spot to lay in the leathel trap of explosives. Setting it up to be remote command detonated and for the unexpected, Trip wire. Sheeven boobytrapped the explosive she set .

In few minutes, Murr ran back to her stako, got in. Raised it up and turned it to face the west corridor. She did the same as she did for the East corridor. Only different on this one, It was a few meters closer to the junction. She nodded with pride at the handy work she had produced. All that childhood experimentation and training with pyrotechinques and explosives were coming very pawfully helpful.

When done, she ran back to her Stako, slapping Keyul's Meck as she passed she passed by, letting him know that the explosives were set and primed. She climbed into her Stako and closed up, strapping herself in, making sure her SPINE was connected properly. It took her far longer to get things by herself set properly.

Murr once settled and secured, hatches closed, she texted Keyul and La'ta the exact location of the explosives she set and the command freq to trigger the explosives by radio command. She alerted them also She was ready for what ever needed to be done.

La'tâ made a few more adjustments to the scan but still got the same results after her checks so she called back to Keyul, still keeping an eye on their location, she unfortunately did not know what passages lead where, so she didn't know which ways they were heading yet. "Sar-Aaeas, I have confirmation of roughly 30 individual signatures of defilers, many partials signatures due to the obstruction from the structure of the building. They are on the move however." She still had a nearly full magazine however if they got into a fight with 30 she would need to reload for sure, so she made sure her second and third magazines were in a good position and not fastened too securely to where she would have difficulty loading them.

Keyul looked at the team, 'We are all just Sâvyjo, this was just to be a training mission.' he thought. He looked around at the passageways dark and forboding, and the preparations they made. Would they be enough, only Siamaka knew. He checked his rifle making sure it was undamaged from the earlier encounter.

"Okay team, we are about to be facing a large group of Defilers. We still do not know where the rest of the group are. Hopefully our engaging the Defilers will ensure that they remain safe. We are part of the Clan Defense Fleet, we swore to protect the clan with our lives if necessary. But, we are not going to throw our lives away. Each of us will stand facing down one of these passages, with headlamps on so we can spot the Defilers. Sar-Murr do not blow those charges until there are enough of them in the blast range to make it worth it. Conserve your Rotygo Acco Stako ammo since it is limited. Use your integrated weapons in the Stako, first then follow up with the other, and fire in controlled bursts. If they press us, back up so that there is no space for them to get behind us." Keyul said to the team.

From down several of the passages the sound of the Defilers moving could be clearly heard. Keyul charged his Sumanâ-a Rotyka, and integrated coil guns in his arms. "May fortune and Siamaka favor us with victory." he called out.

Murr thought ~~you to, Keyul. It's been great serving with you Keyul, La'ta, Memi!"~~ She wished she could give each a hug as she readied herself and charged up her weapons. ~~Back to back to back to back. The last stand of the Fearsome 4~~ Murr had to smile remembering an old movie she had watched when she was a kitten after the work, schooling lessons, chores were done. Family together in the common room on the rare occasion her elder brother was home on leave. Would she see them again?

Murr stood fast, her scanners picking them up. Her stako scanners began to pick out the individuals of the enemy. She flicked on her headlamps to shine down the West Corridor.

La'tâ heard the orders from Keyul and looked down in her cockpit a moment she understood how difficult this was going to be. She soon looked up however, realizing that if she started getting negative now she really would be in trouble. She wanted to cheer everyone up and stop them from thinking about possibly bad situations. As she stepped to the corridor she would be covering something finally came to her mind to say. "When we report back with a head count of more than 30 they will probably let us have some Dâmukya Iko wine and Laminwiqor'ka meat as a reward." She tried to speak joyfully, showing almost no sign of worry.
