Sune went to the shower area, took one of the small stalls and proceeded to clean himself. Third time today I've cleaned up. he thought. Once he was sure he had covered all areas. He took one of the fluffy towels and dried himself off. He then took one of the supplied yukatas and put it on. He then went to the changing room opened his locker took out his brush and made sure his hair was groomed. He then put the brush back into his bag, re-secured the locker and went the waiting area with Takeyu to wait for the others.

He looked over at Takeyu, "Well Nayacesen-San it would appear to be a typical day here on Yamatai. I recall it raining frequently while I was in training, and pretty much every time the Eucharis has returned we have had rain or cold damp weather. Give me a nice environmentally controlled space anytime." he said with a grin.

"I had the luxury of a hot time during training, it only rained on the last day and rained pretty hard to, probably making up for the weeks it hadn't," Takeyu glanced down the hallway.

Being here almost makes you forget there is a war on, he thought casually to himself, not at all interested in airing his thoughts which would - in my opinion - ruin the mood. "Though the rain does give a sense of calming, allows one to think more clearly," he took in a deep breath, favoring the rain's fragrant aroma.

Armundo sat in the changing room, his back against the wall with a bottle of booze in either hand. This was as much booze as he could carry in his condition. He was snoozing lightly against the wall, the bottle threatening to drop from his hands.

THe heat of the Onsen and the long walk from before had drained him of whatever energy that he had left. The pain medication that he took severely limited his ability to stay awake and do much of anything for the time being, but it increased his ability to heal, which would naturally cause him to tire out much faster then usual. He had been a bit bummed that his drink date with Klein had turned on itself, but it was nothing that caused him too much distress. Armundo groaned a bit in his sleep, tipping slowly to one side, threatening to fall head over heels from the bench at that rate.

"It did not rain that often on New Elysia, except in the warmer and wetter areas. The weather patterns are different there thanks to the longer days, and it is far drier. Of course, it does get cold during the night, but we have ways of dealing with that..." Michael shrugged as he finished showering and began to oil himself up with a fragrant oil that smelled of lavender before pulling on a light outfit of obvious elysian origins.

"Of course, I didn't really have a basic training, persay. But that is a story for a different time. I smell food."

Yuriko nodded again however as she had not so much as 'taken a dip' into the waters of the onsen. She instead went about dressing herself in one of the Yukata's, shying away a little from the others as she did so out of a sense of modesty.

"It is days like these I miss while in space. While there is no 'weather' aboard a starship, feeling the rain on your face, or hair or simply seeing it while planet-side is something that can pull on the heartstrings. A longing for home, or simply to feel it."

Ramiro waited until the rain was beginning to start before he got up and out of the spring. Standing in the rain a little bit, he allowed it to run over him before he grabbed what he had set down near the springs and headed towards one of the showers. After a quick cleaning he got out and dressed himself in the yukatas that had been set out for them. Ramiro then sat down and waited for the others, quietly observing the sounds and actions of the other crew members that were nearby.

The dining area was a cozy room lined with traditional paper walls and a tatami mat floor around a low table made of dark inlaid wood with a large flower pattern. Latern-style lights above filled the room with a soft, slightly orange light. On the table sat decorated china plates.

Thodays' meal consisted of a salad with ginger sauce, steamed rice, grilled yakitori, grilled steak, ham, sausage, and chicken shish-kabobs with tomatoes, pineapples, green peppers, and onions on them, and a peach and strawberry fruit salad. There was also hot green tea and cold fresh-squeezed lemonade.

Hanako and the sprites joined Ramiro shortly, wearing their soft yukatas. "Where is home these days?" Hanako asked Yuriko curiously.

Sune followed behind Hanako and the entourage of Nekos who followed her. He paused briefly to take in the surroundings of the room. It had an ambiance that he was unfamiliar with. He then walked over to the table and found an available seat.

He took a moment to consider the meal choices while listening to Hanako's conversation with Yuriko. Home... such a small word to cause so many emotions. If I were to have a home, what would I choose? Would I even want a home in the normal sense, or would my home be on a starship. he thought as he pondered.

Takeyu followed close behind, keeping an eye on his captain while also enjoying the scenary that the place afforded. When he got to the room, he paused before entering and gave a satisfying smile before stepping inside after Sune.

Finding a seat, he sat down and began to think about what to eat while overhearing what Hanako had said.

"Home is where you choose it to be, ma'am. I, for example, have two homes. One is on the Eucharis, and the other is my home on Novus Elysia. I'm willing to fight to my last breath to protect both of them." Michael said abruptly in response to Hanako's question, sitting down at the table.

Yuriko brushed at her yukata lazily as she found herself a seat. The question however was one she mulled over several long moments before responding, hands in her lap as she sat straight backed.

"Lost to the war now." It was a simple, straightforward answer. "So you could say I am homeless, in a sense."

"Aren't we all," Ramiro stated quietly to Yuriko's response. He pondered back about what used to be his home, before he had run away. He supposed that it was never really home since it wasn't somewhere he ever considered as a comforting place. He shrugged his shoulders, deciding that the starship was the closest thing that he had ever had to a home, and that didn't bother him a bit.

Since he had been the first to arrive Ramiro already had a fair idea of what he wanted he began grabbing food quietly as not to disturb the others. All he grabbed was a grilled steak with a side of rice. After surveying the drinks, he got a small scowl on his face. "Taisa, oh sorry, Shosho, do you know whether they have any alcoholic selections?"

"The Eucharis is my home now, my life started on a starship which no longer exists. Onboard a starship or station is where I feel most comfortable." Sune offered.

Sune picked up his plate and started gathering what he wanted, he took the salad with ginger sauce, steamed rice, the chicken shish-kabobs, and a peach and strawberry fruit salad. He then took a hot green tea.

"This looks and smells delicious." he said.

Takeyu listened while looking at the assorted food on the table, giving it some thought as to what he would have before picking out some grilled steak with green peppers and onions, an odd combination, but he liked trying different things out.

He then picked up some steamed rice with a salad with ginger sauce and looked it over, before glancing down the line at the others to see what they had chosen.

Even after embracing drink, Helen was almost somber in her silence as she let Yuriko and Hanako exchange their dialog, as she joined the group at the dinner table. There was a distinctive feeling which persisted in Helen's gut, it was simple, this R&R was not really working out to be restful or relaxing with the way it was being spent. It was dismal, the onsen was just too much really. Too much tradition, too much protocol, and it left Helen to simply sit quietly as she served her ample plate of food, and began to eat, just listening to those present.

Much like Helen, Michael kept quiet as he dug into his meal. This entire outing had been a damned failure, not to mention that these yammies were so stuck up about protocol and being proper that they couldn't even relax properly, and got mad at him when he was anything less than perfectly formal.

And it pissed Michael right the hell off. Finishing his steak in about a minute or so, the elysian stewed in his thoughts until he got fed up, slamming a fist on the plate, shattering it and standing up.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go. Go have some R&R before heading back to the Eucharis. Y'know, loosen up, have fun."

A light thud, followed by a surprised "D'oh !" echoed in the dressing room. Armundo sat bolt upright from his place on the floor, looking this way and that, wondering how he ended up in this position. He cleared his throat and stood, glad that no one had seen his little spill. The smell of food caught his nose, causing him to naturally gravitate towards that area. He saw a number of the crew there, eating and talking..a bit stiffly. He could see that Klein was still a bit..unfulfilled. So, he would endeavor to return the favor from earlier. He still had a bottle of booze in his hand, perhaps he could help his superior officer out in relaxing a bit.

He sat onto the floor beside the SAINT, speaking loudly enough for her to hear, but not loud enough to interrupt the ongoing conversation around or invite eavesdropping " You look a bit undewhelmed, Shosa ." he said " I'd be honored if you'd let me escort you to somewhere..else." he said with kind of a shrug. He was not sure what Yamatians did for fun, but so far they seemed pretty..stuffy. He felt as if he was on duty for the most part, so maybe Klein was feeling the same way. He wondered how she would take his invitation. Maybe she wouldn't see him as just another Santo Hei, but someone that she could relax with off duty. He set about eating the food set out, his eyes on Klein in between bites, waiting for her reaction.

Two things really angered Hanako right now. The first was that no one had helped poor Armundo. The second was Michael making a complete ass out of himself again by breaking the onsen's fine china, which they had got out of the display case especially for Hanako.

Filled with rage, Hanako stood up from the table and looked Michael in the eyes. "Come outside with me right now," she ordered him.

Shiomi was soaked when she arrived at the onsen where her new crewmates were taking their leave. She hadn't actually walked all the way there, but her brief time between arriving in Kyoto, finding transportation to the onsen, and walking to the entrance in the midst of a growing storm had been just enough to wet down her hair. She didn't mind, in the words of one of her sisters: "You aren't sugar, you won't melt if you get wet."

Shiomi stopped under the cover of the bamboo entrance to wipe and clean her glasses on her uniform, flick her ears to clear the water droplets collecting at the tips, and recite a few lines that she had thought up when she realized she'd need to introduce herself to Ketsurui Hanako. She whispered things like "Hello! My name is Shiomi Aoi, and my first name uses the kanji for 'blue' and not 'hollyhock'!" with a grimace at how bad it must really sound. "Shiomi Aoi Santô Hei, reporting. Long live the Empire!" "I've heard so much about the Empress' family!" "I heard this rumour you were adopted." "Don't hurt me, my name is 'Owie'!" She giggled at the last one, feeling immediately better. What was the likelihood of Royalty even dealing with someone like her? She may have been getting her hopes up too much anyway. She stepped inside, and approached the reception desk.

"Konnichiwa! My name is Shiomi Aoi Santô Hei, and I was ordered to report here to rendezvous with the crew of the YSS Eucharis and join them as a crewmember. Are they currently here? Can you point me to them if they are?" She gave the receptionist the most optimistic look she could muster.

The grin wasn't for the receptionist, however. No; It was for Shiomi, who needed something to help stop her from shaking like a leaf. Would anyone respect a scared kitten vibrating like some buzzing alarm?

Michael shrugged and followed after Hanako, nodding. "Yes Ma'am." At this point, the Elysian had just given up on actually getting the crew to like him, and just wanted to get to the nearest bar and get something simple to drink. Or maybe he'd just head back to the ship, and open up that bottle of whiskey.
