RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 14.3] Aftermath

[Gabriel]

Ramiro emerged from the area containing the main weapons array, sufficiently dirty as he wiped his hands against his trousers. Doing a quick stretch, resulting in an alarmingly large number of cracking sounds, he glanced around and then head back toward the Engineering area.

Engineering

As Ramiro emerged in the engineering area, he called out. "Shoi? You in here?" After waiting a few moments he glanced around and then shrugged, figuring he was elsewhere. A quick query with Charisma revealed that he was outside, at which point Ramiro jogged off towards the cargo bay.

Outside the Eucharis

A few minutes had passed when Ramiro could be seen jogging across the Cargo Bay and down the rear ramp of the Eucharis. When he spotted Takeyu he jogged over, a stopped a few feet away, and bowed. "Valencia-Juni reporting, repairs to the main weapons array are complete. Awaiting further instruction."

Wardroom

Since it was lunch, Helen decided to listen to her gut and move along to the wardroom, as she took in the scents upon her arrival, finding them far more appealing than the plain smell of oatmeal which greeted her in the morning. Once in the wardroom, Helen again found her way to a seat, and once seated, she went about looking over a datapad she brought with her. While she waited for her food, she continued her work. It was a rarity for her to involve work and the meal table, but for the occasion, she decided to break away from her personal rules, there was a timetable to keep after all.

Outside the Eucharis

Takeyu gave a nod of the head when he saw Ramiro. "Good, glad to hear that's one worry we don't have to worry about. We still have more repairs to do, the sensor dome is a bit of a mess right now. The hatchway was thankfully mostly sealed so it didn't get much water inside, but what did get in there has already begun to cause problems. There's snapped wires, and the Quantom Mirror needs to be replaced. However, that's actually the least of our worries," Takeyu turned toward the tech who he had just spoken to.

"It would appear that it's not just the forward mirror that is damaged, but also those on the sides as well that need to be fixed. For now, let's concentrate on repairing the damage to the sensor dome while we try and get a replacement mirror. So far, three power relays are blown, we've also got burned out wiring. Also, some data transfer cables are fried as well."

"After we are done with the sensor dome, we'll inspect the anti-gravity system." With that Takeyu looked back at the ship. "However, it is lunch right now, do you want to stop and eat first before continuing repairs?"

While he waited, he sent a message off to Victory.

Subject: Quantom Mirrors

Victory? Do you know of any sellers in the city who can supply us with a few Quantom Mirrors? We have some that need replacing, and it would be nice to have a few spares just in case.

Wardroom

Lime brought out a tray of fifty seasoned and grilled hamburgers to the buffet, followed by buns, tomato slices, lettuce, cheese slices, onions, pickles, and various bottled condiments. There were also some and steak fries available. With the food in place, the crew was now able to assemble their lunches. Lime also brought out a lemonade dispenser.

Cherry arrived in the wardroom, followed by sensor specialist Blueberry, who was carrying a quantum mirror strip.

I am currently unable to check my sources at the moment. I currently have a person holding a gun on me. Once this situation is resolved, I will check. However, that is definitely not a common item. So most of my sources will be of no use.

 

[Kyle]

Takeyu mentally blinked at Victory's message. Did he just read right?

What's your status right now, do you need assistance?

He knew that Sune and Akemi were with her, though he was prepared to inform Hanako right away and turned in the direction of the city.

Thank you for your concern Shoi. But the situation has been successfully resolved without any injury to any party. I will contact my sources and get back to you shortly.

Takeyu rubbed the bridge of his forehead.

And I was just about to send the Shosho a message too, I'd be interested in knowing what happened after you return. Stay safe.

With that he looked back at the ship but still waited for Ramiro's response. In that time though, he informed Sune about what had happened.

Shosa? I just contacted Victory-hei and was told that she had a weapon pulled on her, but that things have been revolved and are under control.

Ramiro had started daydreaming and staring at his surroundings while Takeyu finished whatever he was doing on his comm. His mind came back with a jump when he realized that Takeyu was no longer on his comm.

"Oh, yeah, lunch sounds terrific." Ramiro then turned and made his way to the wardroom.

Wardroom

Ramiro could smell the burger before he even entered the room. As he walked towards the buffet table he called out, "Good to have you back Lime. Your cooking is much better than mine was." He proceeded to grab himself two patties and a bun, adding just some cheese, ketchup, and mustard to the mix. Then he grabbed some fries, throwing on some extra salt, and went to sit down with the rest of the crew.

"Hello Cherry, hello Blueberry. How have the two of you been today?"

Wardroom

"Busy," Blueberry said, raising her eyebrows. "Cherry and I have managed to set up the fabrication room to make quantum mirror strips. We think we got them just about right but we will require some tests if there is time."

"And I mopped main engineering," Cherry added.

Victory and Koga-Hei were assisting in evacuating a damaged building. However, they have completed their task without injury. We are returning to the Eucharis shortly.

Eucharis Wardroom

As Lime brought out the hamburger fixings and fries, Helen was hard at work figuring out the technicalities of the prospective mission to come, as well as the information from the Miharu and numerous other ships, which had been gathered into an indexed database. Though, her work abruptly stopped as she noticed the food. She saved her progress, encrypted it, locked it away, and purged the memory on the datapad before she went to the buffet line. Once there, she went about throwing together three hamburgers, with two patties each, with red and green onion, pickle, lettuce, chili peppers, cheese, tomato, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. With that serving, she also included a heaping helping of steak fries, which were promptly introduced to ketchup and salt. She had enough food to feed four people, and it was just enough for her, as she carried the food off to her table, and began to eat. She started with the fries, and worked her way from there.

Eucharis Landing Pad

“Oh Crap, Oh Crap, Oh Crap.” Misato Suzume huffed as she ran across the tarmac with her duffel slung over her shoulder. She just arrived on a transport and thinking she had a bit of time she walked slowly observing the aftermath of the battle. As she reached the Eucharis she overheard some technicians talking about how the ship was about the leave even though it was barely flight worthy. With that she took off running.

As she reached the loading ramp of the ship she slowed to a light jog, as to not look completely out of breath. Looking around she located a terminal, she entered in her personal code and waited for it to log her on board before heading to the Bridge to locate the ShoSho.

 

[Gabriel]

"Oh!" Ramiro said with surprise at the mention of the quantum mirror strips. "Have you told Takeyu? The Shoi's been running around for quite a while trying to acquire some, and I'm sure the news that you had them fabricated would lessen his current stress levels." As he said that he glanced around the room, surprised that Takeyu hadn't arrived yet.

 

[Kyle]

Takeyu gave a nod, but didn't follow Ramiro right away. He watched his fellow crewmen head inside and walked up to the top of the ramp before stopping and looking back toward the city. Though Victory had said they were fine, and Sune had just told im they were on their way back, he had to wonder if there was anything esle in the city that might cause them issues.

With a shake of his head he turned back to head in, but only got so far before hearing a clatter behind him and turned around. "Looking for someone?" he asked the new comer.

Eucharis Cargo Bay

Just as Misato was about to head deeper into the ship she heard Takeyu, bowing she replied, “Yes sir, Santo Hei Misato Suzume, I’m new to this ship and I believe I should check in with the Shosho before I do anything more. I would have gotten here earlier but I was kind of memorized by how you all decorated the place.” She motioned out the cargo bay. “Where would I find the Shosho or the best person to report to?”

On Eucharis, outside Cargobay

Decorated? sighing mentally, Takeyu looked the soldier up and down, thinking for a moment to himself before answering the soldiers question. "Welcome aboard Suzume-hei, my names Takeyu Nayacesen-Shoi. Last I checked, you can find the Shosho in the crew lounge."

He gestured down the hallway. "Go down the hallway and take the passageway to deck two, you can't miss it," he smiled weakly and started to make his way to the wardroom.

Thanking Takeyu, Misato followed his directions deeper into the ship. She was disconcerted that Takeyu looked worn out. Her fear was that the whole ship was worn down from the past events. Then again what did she know, she was new and it wasn’t like she was all that good at guessing folk’s moods.as she moved up the passageway to the lounge she marveled at the ship, it looked like it had been through the wringer but still it held up. She was amazed. Misato thought the ship should have look a lot more disheveled after her four years of adventures. As Misato entered the lounge she started looking for someone with the right rank markings of the Shosho.

Crew Lounge

Misato found Shosho Hanako on the stairs heading up into the galley. The Shosho was a slender woman with golden eyes and teal hair that was greenish near the crown of her head and more violet towards the tips.

"Welcome aboard," Hanako greeted Misato. "Set your bag down in the lounge and come get lunch."

 

[Nashoba]

When the truck pulled to a stop on the tarmac behind the Eucharis Sune climbed out. He walked up the ramp, surveyed the progress that had been made. "At least it does not look like the bottom of an aquarium in here." He said to himself.

He sent a quick query to Charisma regarding Hanako's location. He dusted himself off and entered the passageways. He considered showering and putting on a clean uniform, but given the procedure that awaited him it seemed unnecessary. A few minutes later he entered wardroom.

He walked over to Hanako placing the datapad with the inventory down on the table before her.

"The supply run is complete Shôshô. Overall the task was accomplished without two many difficulties. We did encounter a group that thought to take our supplies. But we were able to enlighten them and move on.

Although I am sure that Victory-Hei will require some assistance with loading the equipment into the armor and medical."
