RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 14.3] Aftermath

Yonto Hei Kurita Tomomi had several days to the station before the Eucharis had arrived. While she was grateful to be done with her stint in the middle of nowhere, she was not particularly looking forward going to the same ship she was reported as 'failing to report'. She avoided the ship and the crew when they arrived as her report date was after the ship arrived.

But now it was that time. She cleared out of the room she was in at the station and humped all of her duffel bags to the ship. After a very long route she choosed in hopes to avoid people, she arrived on the ship. She stopped at the nearest terminal on the ship to enter in the system she had arrived on the ship. "Let the fun begin..." She said softly to herself after she made sure no one was in the corridor near her.
 
Eucharis sat out on the tarmac still surrounded by KFY equipment and vehicles. As Tomomi drew closer, she could see the rear ramp was open and there was a neko (Pineapple) hosing out cargo bay, which strongly smelled of dead fish and seawater.
 
Tomomi walked up to Pineapple and rendered the proper bow. "Hello Heisho, I am the new IT Specialist assigned to this ship. Where can I find Shosho Ketsurui?" Tomomi asked the Neko. While curious about why the cargo bay smelled the way it did, she had other things on her mind at the moment.
 
With a satisfied smile, Takeyu finished with the installation of the new pulse generator. "That should do it," he commented as he placed the last securing clamp in place then he moved back to inspect the generator before giving a nod of the head.

"If you find anything further that requires my attention let me know, until then, I'll be down in the sensor dome," commented the chief engineer as he left the main array, grabbed his toolkit, then headed down to the sensor dome.

The hatch was covered in weeds and the area smelled of sea water and dead fish. "Aughs," he grumbled as he set the kit down and pulled the hatch open that would give him direct access to the sensor dome.

He moved down into the dome and heard a small splash as his boots hit a puddle of water. "Great..." he grumbled and knelt down and glanced about the dome's small interior. "Wires need to be replaced," he muttered as he cupped a hand around a partially exposed wire.

His main concern was diverted however when he saw a crack in the main sensor dish itself, located toward of his position. When he saw the crack, which ran from the top right and toward the center, stopping a full foot before that, he shook his head. "The dish would've still worked, but that crack would've caused some discrepencies."

Taking another gander around the compartment, he gave a nod. "Only the main dish needs to be replaced, along with some of the wires here and then need to clean up these puddles. Luckily he seems the vital components actually damaged by the sea-water thanks to the hatch, only water that seeped in was that which managed to work its way in from the seems. That's still a concern, I'll have to check the sealant's around the hatch itself, probably worn out."

He stayed there to continue inspecting the rest of the sensor array for further damage.
 
Medical Bay

Hakujou compiled as much data from the ship's archive, ST logs, medical scans, any and every sort of psychological information and whatever other information she could find about the princess. After the compilation and editing, she sent the entire thing over to Blueberry to analyze and work into a coherent scanner protocol.

Once you have the Medical bay straightened out, please prepare a NH-31M Minkan body. Use my genetic data for the body specifications.

Upon my return to the Eucharis I plan on upgrading to the new body form.

Hakujou meandered over to an empty Hemo-synthetic tank and started to input the various protocols and variables for body synthesis. Height, weight, eye and hair color, build, physical quirks. Hakujou was working off the ST backup as well as photos to tweak the body. After about ten minutes of work she stopped and waited.
 
Cargo Bay

"She is on the bridge," Pineapple told Tomomi. "Welcome to the Eucharis," Pineapple said, continuing to clean.

Shortly afterward, Taisho Yui and a samurai bodyguard arrived by shuttle and also entered the ship.

Bridge

Hanako nodded to Tomomi as she entered. "Thank you for coming," she said. "The XO is out right now. Please find yourself an open crew cabin or a roommate." Then Yui came in and Hanako started showing the Star Army leader some of the Miharu data that their search had uncovered.
 
Tomomi simply bowed again and stopped at the lounge to drop off her bags before she proceeded to the bridge. Once she arrived on the bridge, she briefly scanned around to get the general lay of it. She then walked up to Hanako and bowed deeply.

"Thank you for coming, the XO is out right now. Please find yourself an open crew cabin or a roommate."

"Will do Shosho Ketsurui." Tomomi said as she bowed deeply again. She gave Yui a deeper bow as she came in before she quickly got out of the bridge. Returning to the lounge, she picked up her bags and proceeded to find herself a cabin.

The first few cabins she checked with the ship's computer showed it was occupied. But when she came up to cabin four, she finally smiled for the first time for the day. No one assigned to it, she quickly proceeded to make a note in the system that she was going to reside there.
 
After briefly discussing and downloading Hanako's Miharu data excerpts, Yui pulled Hanako close and gave the teal-haired Shosho a long, deep, wet kiss before leaving the ship and heading back to Star Army headquarters.

Hanako went to find the Tomomi and encountered her in the lounge. "Tomomi-Hei," the Shosho greeted her. "I just added the new security protocols and devices to the computer. Are you familiar with the Communications Network Encryption System? I also want to ask you about what happened as far as your original assignment here and what it was like on HX-2."
 
Tomomi was partially starled when she heard Hanako speak. She turned around and bowed. "The CNES is an security clearance system for IT systems. Something about Yamataian systems being more open then a Nepleslian prostitute. At least that is my idea of why it was developed. They only briefly mentioned it at the end of my training to be on the look out for it." She said in reponse at attention. She was already at the lowest rank possible and a discharge was sounding nice to her. So Tomomi did not mind being frank while being minimally respectful.

"As for my time on HX-2 ma'am, had a lot of time to work on developing rudimentary artificial intelligence skills. Nothing too serious at the moment."
 
Crew Lounge

Hanako scowled at the mention of Nepleslians. "The problem was not a technical issue with the security protocols, it was a matter of access lists and a handful of untrustworthy insiders that are being dealt with. However, this is a technical solution to help with that. As is the new body type, the recently released NH-33."
 
That is what I just said.. Tomomi thought to herself when she heard the explanation from Hanako. "The NH-33...is that mention for a Yamataian such as myself or a Nekovalkyrja ma'am?" Tomomi asked, slightly confused why a new body type has anything to do with IT security.
 
Sensor Dome

Takeyu eased himself back and compiled all of his notes. It had taken him a few minutes to really inspect the sensor array, and he was happy he had.

Other than the cracked graviton mirror and the wires that he had found before, there was also some rust, but it was isolated to the area where the small puddle of water was. He also found three blown power relays that were located behind a service panel on the southern end of the room.

Combined with that were some of the information transfer cables, those needed to feed the information that array was picking up to the main computer for processing.

"Quite a list," he told himself and exited through the hatchway above and eased it shut before heading to the main cargobay. Inside he looked at the manifest and picked out a crate that had both power cables and transmission cables inside, then he walked over to another crate and opened it up and found power relays he'd need to install. The one he didn't find, was a graviton mirror.

With a heavy sigh, he walked down the cargobay ramp and toward a KFY technician. "Hate to bother you, but I don't suppose you have any Graviton Mirrors? I've got a damaged one I need to replace."
 
Crew Lounge

"They have a new model of Yamataian just released as well," Hanako explained. It is the NH-31. It also includes the new security node. We should all transfer to the new bodies soon. The doctor, Hakujou-Juni, should be able to assist you."

Outside Eucharis

"Sorry, I don't," the KFY tech replied. "Graviton? Quantum mirrors are Freespacer technology, aren't they? Definitely non-standard like those Lorath fusion generators we replaced. You will have to buy them aftermarket. There are two main sets of quantum mirrors each running along the corners of the roughly triangular central body of the ship, one dorsal and one ventral. Both are also missing a lot of pieces due to battle damage.
 
"Ahhh, well I guess that will be the first order of business once I have my bags in cabin four ma'am. Will be very difficult to do my job if I am not even access the systems I need to work on." Tomomi said to Hanako. "After that is complete ma'am, who is my first line supervisor?"
 
Outside Eucharis

Takeyu thought for a moment on what he had just said, and mentally slapped himself. "Sorry, meant to say Quantum Mirrors, not Gravity, no idea why I said that," he said while rubbing his forehead, he felt a slight headache coming on. "But I already figured those might be hard to get anyway." He then stepped to his side and looked back at the Eucharis in thought.

I'll ask Victory if she knows of anyone who might have a few mirrors for purchase.
 
Crew Lounge

"You will be reporting directly to me or First Officer Sune," Hanako said. "I am the only other IT person on the ship. Once you get the doctor started on your new body, I recommend going around and meeting the other crew members as well as assisting them with the ship repair. I would also hear on some of your ideas and suggestions for IT improvements once you have some time to think about them."

Wardroom

It was now lunch time and the wardroom was again filled with the sounds and smells of sizzling meat. Lime was cooking cheeseburgers for everyone.
 
Cabin 6

After collating the required information for her report on the bridge, Reika retreated to the quiet of her quarters to finish the remainder of the document in relative comfort and without the hustle and bustle usually going on in the ships command center. Once lunch-time approached, the operative set aside the work she'd done so far and composed a message to the ships doctor.

To:Hakushi-Ittô Juni

If I may, I would like to requisition one of the newer NH-33S Tennyo bodies for myself -- or alternatively one of the standard models. Also if it isn't too much trouble, I'd rather have a more 'traditional' neko appearance this time around rather than that which I have at present. The odd stares I've gotten due to my unusual features have finally managed to wear out my patience...

Once her message was sent, Reika vacated her quarters and headed for the wardroom in order to get some much desired lunch. With any luck Reika knew she would probably get to chance to switch into the new body upgrade some time later that afternoon. After navigation the ships interior, the tall cyan-haired operative stepped into the dining chamber -- she caught the scent of hamburger patties on the stove, drifting in from the galley.
 
Crew Lounge

"Aye ma'am, though I have a feeling this ship is not your run of the mill Plumeria Class Gunship. I honestly do not know what ideas I could give you at this time. But I will get intimate with the system soon regardless." Tomomi said. She then promptly threw her bags in rather roughly once she got the door open and bowed deeply to Hanako before she departed towards the medical lab.

Medical Lab

After taking a bit of time to look around the areas of the ship she was allowed to access, Tomomi finally arrived at the medical lab. She looked around to see what looked like new bodies being grown and a white haired Neko that looked over worked. "I assume you are this ship's doctor? I am new to the ship and I require an upgrade in order to accomplish my duties on this ship." She said, doing her best not to sound inpatient. She looked back to the bodies for a moment. "Seems to a line forming though."
