Surface - Alpha Team

Akemi leaped far to the right while firing a three round burst from her Aether Beam Saber Rifle as well as one from each of her Gauss Cannons, all three weapons aimed at the spider tank. She then darted behind another large, nearby rock structure. As soon as she finished taking cover she sent out all twelve of her drones to engage the six enemy Nekovalkyrja. Two were assigned to each one and all of them were set to fire at full power and kill. The soldier was quite glad she had armed herself as she did and got to fight so soon.

Surface - Alpha Team
Konoka was hiding behind the rocky structure near where Akemi was. She'd descended stealthily with the others, and had thus far attempted to fly under the radar.

Seeing as how the NMX had spotted everyone else, though, it was quickly becoming moot. She fired off a few shots at the spider tank from her vantage point, and hoped that her medical skills wouldn't soon be needed by the rest of Alpha Team.

She had been right to worry.

Tomomi simply nodded and started to proceed with a slow high crawl. Then she stopped again when she heard the sound of weapons fire in the distance. She got up to here to one knee behind some over and flew a flurry of hand signals to bound from cover to cover quickly one at a time as they were nearing the lake.

Hoping her teammate understood as Tomomi wasn't sure what she was doing, she ran in a low position from cover to cover until she got eyes on the lake. She carefully entered the prone by some bushes as she thought she saw someone in the distance. She wasn't taking any chances trying to shoot a laser communication until she got more information.

"Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit!" Bors exclamied as he dove into a nearby ditch attempting to avoid the fire from the three NMX Nekos in heavy armor. As he dove into cover he saw the spider tank fire on what could only be his teamates. Bors ducked down as the three Nekos fired at his position and blind fired several rounds over the top of his little trench hopeing he hit, or at least distracted, one of them.

Alpha Team

Sune considered the situation, the foot soldiers were the lesser problem. The primary threat that needed to be neutralized was the tank. So Sune launched two Ke-M2-W2907 ARMA missiles at the tank to interfere with its targeting system. He followed up with another three round volley from his Gauss cannon.

The Flayer tankette attacking Sune seemed relatively unphased by the missiles and the Gauss rounds harmlessly deflected off its shields. Luckily its ball turrets were not that powerful and his shields held against them. The tankette charged after him like an animal, trying to run him down with its large spike-covered legs.

Meanwhile, the three NMX heavy infantry soldiers advanced on Bors, blocking his shots with their shields. When he ducked, they sent the second explosive dog sprinting towards his position. Three more of the infantry soldiers begin to engage Konoka with fire from their Impaler rifles.

Akemi's drones were getting picked off by the second spider tank as the remaining six NMX heavy infantry went after her in two groups of three.

Tomomi remained unseen so far.

Beta Team

With the help of his armor, he kept up pace with Helen, while keeping his attention out for any hostiles. Inwardly, he was wondering if this other Hanako was really on this planet but his other concern was for Beta Team and he hoped that they would pull through and not suffer any casualties.

Alpha Team

Akemi decided to take advantage of the superior speed afforded to her by her suit and went out into the open to try to circle around and behind one of the two approaching groups of heavy infantry. Her intent was to put both groups in front of her. As she did so she switched her Beam Saber Rifle to rapid pulse mode and fired at them with all three of her weapons while she sent her remaining drones to attack the tankette surging towards Sune. Once she had flanked the enemy soldiers she would just try her best to swerve from side to side and up and down to avoid their fire.

Bors dropped back into cover and unloaded his xaser with practiced ease and thought to himself today just isn't my day, pinned down in a damn ditch assaulted by three heavy NMX troopers and without grenades how could this possibly get any worse... As Bors slammed a fresh magazine into his rifle he heard the sound of another explosive dog charging towards him. "I need to quit thinking that" Bors said under his breath and quickly popped back over the ditch and fired a burst of shots at the demo dog and NMX troopers, before ducking back into cover.

Sune did not know why the tank was after him with such a fervor, but he could tell that his situation was dire. Increasing the distance or even maintaining gave the tank the tactical advantage.

"A change in tactics is necessary." he said to himself. With a thought he activated both of his Mindy 2-3A forearm weapons into Sword mode. Then he launched himself towards the tank with the speed the armor was built for. His trajectory would take him under and past the tank, and he intended to use the energy blades to try to pierce the underside of the tank or damage the main cannon.

Ramiro continued to pepper the tank with rounds from his rifle, popping up his forearm shields if he noticed any heavy fire heading his direction. Damned squiddies. Why the hell can't they ever leave us alone?

Beta Team

Reika returned a series of hand gestures to Tomomi -- indicating her understanding and agreement -- and joined her in the attempt to meet up with the rest of Beta team nearer to the lake. She moved as covertly as possible, utilizing the environment to best advantage in order to arrive at the meeting point unseen by the enemy.

When Helen approached the pair, Reika was relieved to see her and didn't need to be told twice to follow -- she proceeded after the Shosa into a more densely forested area by the lakes shore where Takeyu was already waiting for them.

The Neko operative listened whilst Takeyu and Helen conversed as the group moved through the forest to a more secure position. Whilst Reika felt a twinge of discomfort leaving the other team to face the fury of the NMX whilst they went unmolested, they had their own task set out for them and Alpha team was buying the time they needed to accomplish it.

"The sooner we find the Hanako duplicate, the sooner all of us can evacuate of this rock. Hopefully before Alpha team is overcome." Reika added softly, barely audible over the sound of the distant gunfire whilst she and the others ran deeper into the fog enveloped forest.

Sune's desperate move was 95% successful. He managed to damage the tankette's main cannon, rendering it useless. The tankette scurried backward, kicking him and knocking the wind out of him as it tried to restore some distance between itself and Sune.

A huge bang and a flash punctuated the battle as the kamikaze dog was prematurely detonated by Bors. The blast momentarily halted the advancing heavy infantry.

Akemi managed to hit one of the NMX nekos in the right leg (damaging a tendon) and severely mutilated another one's left arm while moving and shooting. In return, Akemi took a hit to the right arm that was causing minor bleeding.

Akemi ignored her injury and kept moving and shooting. If the shields of her enemies left a substantial portion of their legs uncovered she would start targeting them more. She set two of her drones to attack the six infantry neko she was dealing with and two to attack the three approaching Konoka. All four would attack their targets from behind. The remainder stayed focused on the tankette attacking Sune.

Sune used the momentum of the kick to get clear for a moment and switched off the forearm weapons. "Okay team, concentrate your attacks on the tanks. We need to take them out first." he called out using his suits speakers.

He then brought his Light Armor Service Rifle around and thumbed it to burst mode and started firing at the tank aiming for the damaged armor area.

"Thanks for the drone assistance, Akemi-Hei," said Konoka, being sure to keep moving and avoid the shots of the NMX neko as she shot at the damaged armor area of the tank. "Do you need me to take a look at your arm injury?"

She pulled out her medkit, just in case, and kept shooting. We on this crew always seem to get spotted by and shot at by the squids, don't we? she thought to herself. Oh, well. I'm used to it. I was with the Eucharis even before Sune-Shosa! she chuckled to herself as she continued to fire upon the tank.

You don't go to the Eucharis to be safe and sound, Konoka reminded herself. You go to get shot at. That's why my medical skills are so important.

Right now, however, it was Konoka's natural neko combat ability that would be tested most. She kept shooting.

"You're welcome. Thanks for your concern, but it's nothing serious. It'll seal up just fine on its own. I'm sure I'll need your assistance later though," replied Akemi. Seeing that Konoka had decided to keep her attention on the tank instead of attacking the soldiers coming her way as she had hoped, she decided to fire a few shots from her Gauss Cannons at them to further direct their attention away from the medic while keeping her Saber-Rifle on the six currently targeting her. She recalled her NSBs, gave them a moment to charge and then had them surround her and fire on all nine of the soldiers as she flew over their heads.

Taking this oppertunity Bors made a quick dash for another set of cover to try and get a better angle on the heavy infantry and get around their shields. As he was running he heard Sune-Shosa command and was somewhat relieved that he wasn't alone in this mess.

Planetary Surface - Beta Team

At a full Power Armor assisted run, Helen led the team around the side of a nearby mountain, putting it between them and the exchange of weapons fire which took place between the NMX and Alpha Team. Once around the mountain, she gestured up, before climbing along the mountain side trees, stopping at the upper tree-line so they would not sacrifice their cover and concealment.

Once halted, Helen turned to her team members. "Reika, I want you to handle signaling. Your Daisy has the superior communications suite. Tomomi, conduct a passive sensor scan for transmissions when Reika signals, while conducting an active scan for life-forms that fit to Hanako's biometric readings. Conduct the scan and transmission for ten seconds. We will change location and repeat the procedure. Takeyu, monitor for sensor spikes which would indicate detection by the NMX." Once her orders were issued, Helen holstered her NSP, before she unslung her Aether Gatling off her shoulder in preparation for dealing with any hostiles.
