Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Takeyu gave a smile as he heard Akemi's words, and returned the gesture. "Happy Yule Tide Akemi-hei," he gave the soldeir a pat on the shoulder, then headed up into the room.

He gave a bow toward Hanako. "Happy Yuletide, Shosho," he said before looking over at a person he hadn't seen in a long, long time.

"Welcome back, Konoka-hei."

Medical Bay

No sooner than Reika had shown up, Hakujou was already beside her and walking her to the Mental back up facilities. "In and out, in and out." She muttered as she laid the soldier down and begun the procedure.

Wardroom (Next morning)

After all the cookies and preparations and planning, and everyone had went to sleep, someone had visited the lounge during the night. When the crew began to emerge for breakfast the next morning they discovered a large number of big boxes beneath and around the Yuletide tree, each wrapped in chrome gold paper and tied with a red ribbon and each bearing a tag with the name of one of crew members.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

When Akemi noticed the presents by the tree she examined them to check if there was one designated for her. After finding one such present she went upstairs to the wardroom to see what there was to eat. She decided to wait to open her present in case the gift giver preferred that the crew opened them together after they had breakfast.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

Takeyu glanced at the assortments of presents after he arrived back at the Wardroom, surprised to see them. Despite the war still raging, there was still time for celebration.

Taking a seat a table, he decided to wait for the others to come before actually searching for any that might bare his name.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

Sune had woken refreshed in his stateroom. After he had checked on the ship's status with Charisma he got dressed in his uniform. After double checking his appearance he stepped out and made his way towards the staircase. He stopped briefly when he noticed a number of packages by the tree.

He saw one with his name on it, surmised that the presents must have been from Hanako. He decided he would leave it where it was until Hanako had time to make her presentation. Sune then made his way up to the wardroom, and acquired a cup of coffee before making his way over to the table.

"Good Morning Nayacesen-Shoi." he said as he took a seat.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Ramiro awoke the next morning and underwent his typical morning routine: he lay in bed for several minutes, trying to convince himself that it was time to get up, he went for a long hot shower, ironed his uniform as he let his body air-dry, and then took some extra time to make sure that his uniform was pristine before putting it on. Checking himself in the mirror, he decided that his current state was satisfactory and made his way out of his room.

Lounge

Passing through the lounge, he noticed the gifts underneath the tree. Presents were not something that he was used to, so the sight caused his head to tilt to the side in confusion. Figuring that they were just decorational pieces, Ramiro continued his way up the stair into the wardroom.

Wardroom

"Good morning gentleman," Ramiro called out to his two friends as he emerged from the stairway. "And lady," he added, noticing that Akemi was also in the room. Grabbing himself a bite to eat and a cup of coffee, loaded with creme and sugar, he made his way over to Sune and Takeyu and took a seat.

"So how are the two of you? Did you guys sleep well?"

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

Akemi turned around and went to the main table. She stood in front of it and bowed to her superiors. "Good morning sirs." She then took a seat away from them.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

(OOC: I spoke with Nash at length, and he said this course of action was alright. If not, Wes, let me know and I can retcon.)

A ship slowly gained on the Eucharis, itself also moving slowly and stealthily in hopes of avoiding NMX detection, but at it got close to the Eucharis it was hard to miss. It was a Bellystabber II, the SS Atsureki. The craft was registered as coming out of Nishitama, owned by a Takeda-Taii.

It was following the Eucharis and trying to match her stealth, ready to respond should Eucharis break silence. A Yuletide tree was on the craft's hull, along with a picture of a gift, projected by a single quickly installed Volumetric window. It seemed to be an effort to indicate the ship's intent. Yaichiro wasn't aboard, however...rather, it was a certain black-haired janitor, bearing gifts.

Crew Area
The previous night, Konoka had said 'hi' to Takeyu, shaken hands with Rina, and immediately returned to the task of shoving cookies into her cute little neko face. As such, she woke up smiling in her room, barely noticing Akemi's absence, before getting ready and skipping into the lounge.

Lounge

When Konoka saw presents, her smile only got bigger. She ran to the Wardroom, looking for someone to spread the joy to.
Wardroom
"Sune-Shosa! Akemi-Hei! Ramiro-Juni! Nacayasen-Shoi!" she called to her friends. "What are you sitting around sipping coffee for? There are PRESENTS to open!"

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

Akemi rose from her seat and bowed slightly to the elated neko. "Good morning Konoka-Hei. I chose not to open mine because I thought it might be best to wait until after we were all gathered together and the giver was present to see our immediate reactions and be thanked."

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

Takeyu rose when he saw Sune enter and gave the man a bow. "Good Morning Shosa," he said before taking his seat and watching as Ramiro came inside.

"Slept alright," said Takeyu in response to Ramiro's question. "Spent most of the night working on a project though." As Takeyu continued to sit, and wait for the Shosho to arrive, he conversed with Charisma.

The two were having a casual, but at times heated, conversation about the project he was working on. A fold up turret assembly that could be dropped into a battlefield to protect a small area, not designed to hold an area on its own, but meant to support infantry. As he conversed, however, Charisma stopped the conversation and made him aware of something. "Shosa," Takeyu spoke though with no alarm in his tone despite what he was about to say. "We have company, doesn't look to be hostile though, a ship that is cruising behind us."

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Lounge

Inside each box were a number of presents. Everyone got slippers, two pairs of pajama pants, bags of chocolates, a bottle of YE 32 Sakura Blush Wine from Hanako's star, 10 civilian outfits (chosen based on individual preferences), a high-quality luggage carrier with personalized nameplate, a diary book and gel pens, and set of expensive bath products and a gift basket full of hair care products.

There were also individualized presents:

Misato got a box of old military magazines and manuals.

Tomomi got a data disk from Kessaku Anri containing instructions on how to create an AI and sample code to base one on.

Rina got a data disk with dance lessons.

Nathaniel got a Elysian sword from the First Elysian War.

Konoka got a huge tin of candies and a karaoke machine.

Akemi got a workout outfit with cute chibi characters printed on it and some music data discs.

Reika got a puzzle book and a stiletto dagger.

Blueberry got a makeup kit.

Ramiro got a model kit of an ancient Nepleslian tank.

Hakujou got a rare sample of pure human DNA.

Cherry got an adult toy.

Sune got a bookshelf and some old leatherboard novels.

Helen got a music disk and an electric guitar.

And Takeyu got an apple pie and a photo of Layven after her rescue.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

"That sounds like a problem," Ramiro said to Takeyu. "If it was Yamataian or any sort of friendly military then it would have identified itself. However, anyone other than friendly military should know better than to approach a war vessel. Shosa, if you would like I can head over to the bridge and deal with this problem."

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

Rina slipped into the Wardroom to join the rest of the crew gathered there. Even following the mood of the night before, she had been surprised to see presents under the tree in the lounge. Life on the Eucharis was not as she had expected.

Rina bowed in the direction of the senior officers before she moved to join the others. She stayed quiet; she did not wish to disturb them while they dealt with the strange ship.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

Sune considered the situation, if it was truly hostile it would most likely have attacked already. Or it was hoping to follow and see where the Eucharis was heading.

"Valencia- Juni, proceed to the bridge. Run a scan and attempt to establish communications, LASER only, any broadcast could compromise our position to the NMX." Sune replied.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Wardroom

Ramiro responded with a quick, "Aye sir," and rose from his seat. Quickly returning Rina's bow he made his way out of the wardroom.

Bridge

When Ramiro arrived on the bridge he moved immediately towards his station. As he walked he asked Charisma to run a scan of the ship and notify him of the results. Sitting at his station, he began pulling up the necessary communications windows as well as a camera image of the ship. He then decided that it would be best to wait for the scan results before attempting anything.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

The ship's weapons were not powered up, and it seemed to be moving slowly, gradually gaining on the Eucharis. Its distance was now crossing into laser range. There was cargo aboard, mostly some boxes of items and assorted repair parts for a Plumeria-class ship. There were also some LAMIA-scale Power Armor, though a close scan would reveal them to be far from standard. The craft made no efforts to deter the scans...everything indicated that it had no ill intent, and was merely trying not to blow Eucharis' cover by mimicking its running procedure. They were likely waiting for the Eucharis to establish contact in the method best conducive to their operation.

In short, they hadn't established contact and were moving slowly because they didn't want to do anything to compromise whatever the Eucharis was doing.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

"Hmmm," Ramiro began to think out loud. He had seen scan readouts similar to this before, but was unable to remember where. Deciding that they didn't pose any threat to the security of the vessel or the Princess, he initiated LASER contact.

"This is Valencia Ramiro-Juni of the Star Army of Yamatai. You have failed to identify yourselves and have approached an active war vessel in defiance of Yamataian law. Identify yourself or you will be disabled and boarded."

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

"This is the Bellystabber II-class ship, SS Atsureki...owned by the Nishitama Port Authority. I apologize for not contacting you, but you seem to be on covert running, and I decided it'd be best to let you choose how best to dictate contact." I was asked to relay gives from one Kage Yaichiro-Taisa to the Eucharis should you come to the KMS, but you left while I was enroute. While the Taisa is no longer in the fleet, his request had enough weight for Hisa-Shoi to insist that I follow...but it seems you're in the thick of something again.

Due to your ship's....less than optimal appearance, various repair supplies have also been brought. Kage-Taisa has said that the Eucharis goes through engines and pylongs like a child goes through shoes...but I would not want to intrude upon Hanako-Taisa's work if you're doing something. She'd have to consent to delivery, of course."

Kuroi had no idea what Hisa was thinking, asking her to do this...the NH-27 janitor in the Santa outfit was already embarrassed by her attire.
