RP: 21st Fighter Sq [Mission 3.1] Menace in the dark

Vicinity of Akagane

"Yumeoibito Santo-Hei, at present we have no need for medical personnel, we have some dead crew members, but not of the surviving ones are injured beyond bumps and bruises. We are carry valuable ores that we gathered, so I would rather not have to abandon ship. But if we can not get power restored we may have to. So we will either need a tow or to be brought aboard one of the other ships I think. came the reply.

Akagane

A lot of the wiring was so much melted plastic, and fused wires. It would take quite a while to try and repair the wiring, where using a portable generator for the DC station would allow him to try to apply power directly to the motor units, if they survived the EMP he could open the door.
 
Akagane

"This is pointless," said Elisto as he attempted to effect the repairs but found it impossible with the wiring in it's current state. He got up and quickly headed back to medical and removed an Aether Generator and checked it out to see if it still worked despite the EMP blast.
 
Akagane

The emergency generator designed to operate in such situations started without incident. Being in stored mode protected it from the EMP. In a few minutes the generator indicators showed that it was now generating power within normal parameters.
 
Vicinity of Akagane

Errowyn radioed back the information she had recieved from Richardson Taii of the Akagane. Then smiled once once mre at the reply of Ikeda Chiyo - Taisa of the YSS Yamato.

"Taii Richardson. On the behalf the Commander of the YSS Yamato, Ikeda -Taisa, Prep your ship for being brought aboard the YSS Yamato for repairs and farther investigation of Sabatoge of your fine Merchant ship,"

Errowyn then waited for responce from the Captain of the Akagane as she looked at her scanner to see what the rest of the wing was doing as she kept tight formation on Scrambler's wing, being ever attentive to the possible actions of the crafts that showed threat to them.
 
Akagane

A smile creased Elisto's face as he shouldered the generator and made his way back to the bridge hatch and began to work on connecting it up to the panel to operate the controls.
 
Vicinity of Akagane

No sooner had Errowyn sent the message her threatcon shifted to red in response her Kawarime's shields being hit.

"Enemy is firing, firing cannons at their leader. Going active with counter measures." Scrambler called out as blue pulses of aetheric plasma were spewed from his craft.

A missile dropped from one of the enemy craft and streaked towards Errowyn's craft.

On Board the Akagane

As Elisto worked on the the door he received the following message.
"Attention all hands... we have been contacted by a search team from the YSS Yamato. They are going to make arrangements to take us onboard for repairs. However, continue your repair work."
 
Akagane

"Glad to have reinforcements," Elisto commented as he attached a wire to an unmelted one and got a small spark in return. He cursed lightly to himself and redid the work, then a smile creased his face as he finished up. Time to see if my shoddy repair job worked, he thought to herself and sent the command to raise the blast shutter and open the door.
 
Vicinity of the Akagane

"Miaow?" fired quickly to an 1 followed by 2 double punch, Shield buster missile followed by ship killer missile. Whether they was suppose to keep them alive or not, well She'll deal with that later when the time came and went into anti-missile manuvers to break or kill the incoming missiles at her, sending out countermeasure electronics to fuzz up the enemy craft's electronics.
 
Akagane

Elisto's effort was rewarded with the hum and whir of the blast door mechanism and it moved out of position allowing access to the normal door. This door since it was not locked Elisto could easy force open.

Outside the Akagane

Errowyn's return shots ran true, even as her shield was peppered again with another volley of projectiles. The first missile did not strike an energy shield but slammed into the fighters hull where it damaged that section. The second missile though designed for starships had a much more devastating effect, the alien craft was consumed in a blinding flash and bits of debris came out of it.

The missile that was coming after her lost its lock on her and streaked by. After clearing by her ship it reacquired a new target and shifted trajectory towards the Akagane. Seconds later it impacted the Akagane amidship on the starboard side. The stricken craft having no shields took the brunt of the force on its hull and a nasty gash appeared in the side when the blast cleared.
 
Akagane

Elisto nearly lost his balance when the missile hit, saved only by the fact that he had only had his hand dug into the doors frame. When it passed, he glanced in the direction that he vaguely heard the explosion come from and thought about what could've caused it. "Damn it all, either that was external thus the bastard put an explosive on the exterior of the hull or we got company," he shook his head at the prospect of possible SMX forces in the area.

Turning back to the door, he dug his other hand into the door frame and, combined with the strength that his Yamataian body provided him, started pulling.
 
Vicinity of Akagane

Expertly manuevering her Kawarime, finding the other fighter that was shooting at her, checking her shield energy which was dropping down towards 72% and past, She manuevered like crazy, trying to break the enemy fighter's gun lock on her ship.

Finding out these ships, she was facing didn't have shield, raised the respect level in her for these pilots. She whipped the ship around lining up another shot. It was strickly Aether laser cannons this time around as soon as she had the enemy ship in her gun sight, she let loose burst from all four of her cannons at the enemy...
 
Akagane

The inner door slid slowly open, from inside the bridge Elisto could hear the crew reacting to the impact. Richardson seeing Elisto, called out. "Toss me one of those communicators. The person we just spoke to did not say anything about hostiles.... this could be an NMX attack. All hands are to arm themselves and be prepared to repel boarders."

Vicinity of Akagane

Scrambler came around and and helped Errowyn finish off the second fighter. "Watch your six, I'm showing some sort of spacial anomaly and two no make that four more fighters emerging out of it." He said as he cut thrust, flipped his fighter and resumed thrust causing him to spill the momentum he had and prepare close on the enemy.
 
Akagane

Elisto, once the door was opened enough for him to look in, nodded at the Taii's order and tossed the officer a communicator. He then looked into the room, taking in the number of people there, before tossing those soldiers communicators as well.

He waited in the doorway and glanced down the corridor, he then pulled his pistol out and was about to get it ready for use when he realized it wasn't going to work. Ahhh shit... he looked down at it and noticed that it was fried. He was going to ask the Taii, but he knew that officer had more things to worry about than a soldier with a useless weapon, so he turned to the XO and asked. "XO? Do we have any backup weapons on board? My pistol was fried by the EMP Blast, being that I was at the source."
 
Akagane

"Try the ship's locker its aft by the airlock. It is possible that since they were not active they may still be functional." The XO called out. "Also check the mining module that is probably where the missile hit us. "
 
Akagane

"Yes sir," said Elisto as he made certain the door would stay open before leaving. He tried the aft locker, opening it up to find an NSP inside, he made a cursery check of it before turning toward the modules main entrance and headed in to assess the damage.
 
Akagane

Opening the door, required brute force, but Elisto was able to open it by prying the door and using his legs and arms to force the door. The area immediately beyond the doors looked fine, using his flashlight he did not see any apparent damage. Which mean he needed to check the ore processing and storage. There were two doors according to the placard, one for processing and the other for storage.
 
Akagane

Elisto looked into the corridor, glancing about as he shown his flashlight onto the walls. "Look's clear," he commented as he moved into the corridor and up to the ore processing door.

He waited in front of it and listened for a moment, before attempting to get inside to check for damage.
 
Vicintiy of Akagane

Errowyn followed suit of Scrambler staying on his wing, lining up her next shot. She was going to be an ace before this sorty was over with, but she wasn't counting, just trying to stay on Scrambler's wing and taking out an enemy that was trying to kill you before you killed them. Her inexperience was beginning to show as the stress of combat gave her feeling that she was fogetting something very important. This was way different from the mock battles when she was going through testing to see if she was worthy of joining the fleet.

Shook her head as she re-adjusted her scanners and target lock as she lost it twice on the new batch of fighters. "Do you think those fighters have ftl drives?" unaware she had spoken outloud, "or there is a mother ship nearby?"

A trace of worry laced her voice as she let off a burst from her aether cannons at fast closing enemy, by pointing her ship and cannons at it.
 
Akagane

The room Elisto was in was filled with equipment that supported the mining equipment. As he moved down the corridor he found himself drifting towards the ceiling, the rate of which increased the further down the passage he went.

Battle for the Akagane

The Alien fighter juked and dodged narrowly avoiding the latest blast of aetheric energy.

"Not sure, there is nothing on the sensors to indicate a ship, so that anomaly must be where their ship is hiding. Perhaps that's a byproduct of their cloak." Scrambler said as he dodged and tried to get a firing solution. The second wave of fighters were better at avoiding the Kawarime, but the odds were still in the SAOY favor.
 
Akagane

Elisto grabbed the side of the corridor to keep himself from moving further upward, he had forgotten that the ship still hadn't fully restored gravity and with him now being away from the center, he figured the ship must've been in a slow spin.

Using his hand, he guided himself down the corridor and continued to inspect the module, checking in on the storage area along the way.
