“Go ahead and administer the nanites,” Eun-Kyung said, shaking her head minutely before reaching up to unseal and remove her helmet. She took a deep breath, shook out her hair, and then looked up at the medical officer.
Noting that she had never seen the man before - suggesting that he had either been hiding when she had rejoined the ship’s company or he was a recent arrival - she set about trying to get an idea of the man. As with most such superficial appraisals there wasn’t much to really be known, but she did take note of his apparent age, evidently a touch older than her. She wondered if he was really that old or if the appearance was just an affectation. Either would be a bit surprising given his junior rank. A query to Eternity could have told her more, but she was bit too fatigued to go for that at the moment.
Instead, she merely cocked her head, indicating her slight curiosity but also conveniently clearing an injection site for the nanites.
“Make it quick though,” she said, firmly but kindly. “I am Chui Kim Eun-Kyung, so you may consider this an order, Kohosei: unless Sakura-hei crashes, you are to confirm that the Thaurgons are stable before treating us further. I am not having the aliens I risked my team to save endangered by assuming there is nothing further to worry about.”
