Orion snapped, back into his conciousness. Taking his hand off his eyes, he took up his rifle and peeked through the power armor bay doorway. The first thing that he saw was one of the damn parasites, Orion bolted back, feeling his dinner come back up again.

"Okay.... I can do this.... I can do this... And not vomit..."

He peeked out yet again, aiming his rifle at one of the NMX nekos, shooting the torso, then the head. At least those didn't disgust him.

He then turned to one of the parasites, he took in a deep breath, and started to shoot some rounds at it, while he felt the half digested meal he had earlier come up his throat...

Hallway Outside of Bridge

Riku had little time to react as he heard a voice yell, the sound of what seemed like intense cannonfire within the confines of the cramped passageway alerting him to the threat at hand. For just a split second he saw the culprit, a MINDY on the other side of the transparent Mishhu, too shocked by it's sudden disappearance and nearly having his head blown off as he took the first few steps towards the XO. A streak of blood gracing his cheek, jaws clenching as he eyed the power-armor clad figure from afar. NSP at the ready, he advanced forward, eyes alert for any disturbances as the Minkan remained wary of the strange new Mishhuvurthyar form. When he approached the sobbing Chui, he immediately realized who the figure was, the writhing in her belly telling of what had just happened; his stomach dropping as his breath briefly caught in his throat. Blinking away the flashes that threatened to return, he stepped around and bent down in front of Eden, eyes looking over the progress the larvae had made.

Without a word he stood up again, eyeing the scene before him with a hint of sadness, the NSP in his hand wavering between duty and honor. To follow one's duty and put the Captain out of her misery or to attempt honor and let the deed be done by the loved one currently holding the dying woman in her arms.

"Chui-dono, you know there is no such thing as death in Yamatai. Even if we fall, our minds are safe in the folds of the Soul Transfer technology. Even should our ship destroyed, so long as something remains of our digital records, we can be brought back and live. Take your time to say your good-bye's, but there is no saving the Taii."

He bowed respectfully towards the two, then turned his attention towards the MINDY, "Reveal yourself, soldier. It's the least you can do for nearly killing me." Riku would ask, challenging the warrior. He couldn't have possibly known who it was, the MINDY bearing the hallmarks of every other piece of power armor, if he did, perhaps he would have been a little more respectful. A thought itched at the edge of his brain, though as he processed everything that had just happened.

I'm pretty sure I saw myself dying ... Maybe this is just a dream and I'm already dead. Empress guide us if it isn't. The Mishhuvurthyar have returned.

Cargo Bay

MItsuko clenched her jaw, blocking out the pain of her fresh stump being prodded and tended to. The constant calls for attention from her body died off just a bit once the wound was sealed over. She tried to distract herself from this procedure by scanning the room, searching for an opening, keeping an eye on the struggle with the squid. The Logistics Neko finally had her attention drawn back to the Medic as she pushed the NSP away reflexively. "I'm not...actually...a very good shot, I'm afraid."

She half-stood as Endo finished packing, nodding as they scurried to a new bit of cover, needing to keep moving. Something caught her eye, making her do a double take. Precious weapons spilled out of a cargo container, ready for the taking, a small mountain of rice obscuring them. Her first reaction would have been unexpected if it had come from anyone else. "...firearms are supposed to be stored in the Armory, not the Cargo Bay!" She sputtered with bewilderment and irritation, eyes wide.

It took her a moment to move past this, more willpower required to block the desire to begin filing paperwork and creating a list of suspects (Amanozako, Nashira) than she'd needed to block out the pain of her missing limb. Considering the situation at hand, this was a rare moment where acting swiftly and disregarding proper procedure was actually warranted. If the Medic still had her weapon, hopefully she'd have some covering fire as she began scrambling around in the rice to grab at the bulky missile launcher. She had no idea what type of projectile was currently loaded (and struggled to tamp down anger about storing loaded missile launchers in her Cargo Bay), but she didn't have the luxury of time or choice right now.

"Get away from them you b-"

The rest was lost in the noise of the missile launch, as the projectile rocketed straight towards the...wall near the Mishhuvurthyar. She had already mentioned her aim, and she'd only had the one arm to use. This awkward grip also immediately sent her tumbling to the ground from the recoil, SLAM slipping out of her hand as she fell, rice kicked up into the air.

Hallway Outside Bridge

Saki kept Eden in her arms as she got Eden's NSP in her right hand. She knew Riku was right, that she would just soul-transfer back to her. Her emotions still ran high, her shaking not even close to ceasing. The trembling only increased as the NSP made it up towards Eden's temple. She leaned down to kiss her on her forehead before coming to audible cries for a moment. Her voice was strained when it finally formed words,

"I-I'm sorry I-I couldn't avoid this. We'll b-be waiting for you."

Misaki's right hand gripped at the NSP's grip and slowly pulled the trigger back until the weapon's audible report and recoil signaled that NSP had given a light of mercy on Eden.

The NSP clattered to the floor as Misaki simply stared in sudden realization, horror, fear, and a mix of a large amount of emotion. He seemed to be shaking severely and sucked wind as if to cry but couldn't find the voice to do it. Then she seemed to twitch in her right eye before she came back into her senses. She was now the commanding officer, all of her anxiety and fears of what was suddenly seemed to disappear and were replaced with the thought of doing this for both Eden... and the young one that had yet to be. She needed to do this for the crew, who were so valiantly fighting and possibly dying for her, for Eden, and for the Empress. She needed to do this for them.

Misaki closed Eden's eyes with a suddenly steady hand as her trembling stopped, her pajamas and bare skin being replaced by a volumetric projection of the uniform of a Chui in command, skirt, coat and all. She carefully laid Eden's body down and stood up, "Both of you, back to your posts. They want this ship? We have one, and that ship is really fucking pissed off."

Power Armor Bay

The Hei stumbled back from the blow- but that was the only visible sign of pain, or even inconvenience she gave outwardly. That and her releasing the trigger of her aether gattling gun from the sheer shock of things. Having been interupted from her task, she felt she no longer hd a reason to not teach this poor mimicry of the greatness that was a neko a thing or two about not turning your back on an equal or greater opponent.- and in her opinion the head butt from th eL'kor had hurt more. Though that might have had something to due with the remainder of her sheild softening the blow.

She looked on her prey with those of a cold, hateful fury, and without a word, took a quick step to the side, and swung the Gattling rifle like a base ball bat to the Reaper's ankles, sweeping low, then quickly upwards to yank her feet into the air after knocking them out from under her. Before the reaper had even properly hit the ground, yoshida released the gattling rifle and readjusted to grab the airborne legs, and then fling them over her head to slam them into the ground behind her. Followed by a wall, after dragging her across the floor at fairly high speeds.

Then the infantry NMX were next, the sound of scraping reaper on PA bay walls signalling to them that something was very wrong, a mindy dodging and weaving as she zoomed up, clearly intending to splatter all. "Drop your guns and to the ground or get a spanking with momma's new belt!" The voice coming from that mindy seemed a little too pleased with herself for coming up with that line. It looked from how she was positioned, at any moment she could merely pivot and place the unfortunate reaper being towed by her in harms way rather than herself. To make matters worse, she appears to have popped her capacitor to renew her sheilding after the reaper popped it with the butt of her gun.

Sutahira began simply wrapping gauze around the wound, doing his best to stem the bleeding. "Arble, we have to move!" He said, picking up the light Elysian, the medical bag clutched in one hand as he steadied the Elysian with the other. His NSP slapped against his hip as he ran, his teal shirt effectively covered in blood from the chest down. The bandaging helped a bit, laced with a clot-promoting agent that should allow her skin to seal and scab over soon. Her arm though... He would need to get to the medbay in order to treat it. He ran to the box nearest the door, setting Arb down where she could cover them, but in cover enough that she would be safe from any fire coming their way. Sutahira replaced the now soaked bandages, and took another stim out of his bag, stabbing the Elysian with it. "Endo, we need to leave. Any word from the Bridge?" Sutahira asked, drawing his NSP with only half of a magazine remaining in the weapon, and one last full one on his belt.

The crate of weapons crashed down, spewing weapons along the cargo bay floor. Sutahira still chose his shots carefully, not willing to stake his existence on the hope that the weapons would be loaded. He only hoped they could leave the cargo bay and have MEGAMI seal the Mishhu in, allowing them time to treat the wounded and refit in the armory. They would need a miracle, or a sacrifice, otherwise.

PA Bay:

William sneered as his sword glanced off the enemy NMX soldier, not landing where it was supposed to. He withdrew his sword and attempted to lunge forward, however Yoshida had already taken care of the troublesome soldier. His eyes moved quickly and scanned the area, his eyes coming to rest on Amanozako, who was under fire. He cursed and fired his thrusters towards his ally.

William scanned his HUD and noted that his forearm cannons were operational. As he flew forward he stretched out his arm and fired several shots towards the enemy soldiers firing at Amanozako. As he approached, he saw her take a round to her leg. "Damn..." he muttered and skid to a halt in front of her placing himself between her and the NMX shooting at her. "Are you okay? Can you move?" He asked as he pointed both arms at the enemy and fired salvo after salvo into the approaching enemies.

PA Bay

White hot pain lanced up Amanozako's let as she was hit. Her head on run turned into a stumble, which devolved into her collapsing as she put weight down on the wounded leg, an agonizing stab of pain shooting up the damaged limb. Amanozako tumbled forward, collapsing, behind a stack of crates and an armor frame, lucky for her. She swore savagely in language that would make even the most foul mouthed sailor cringe as she pulled herself into a relative place of safety and inspected the damage.

It was not good, the wound was bad, really bad actually. The shot, probably from an impaler rifle like her own, had burned a hole clear through her right thigh, half way between her knee and hip joint. It cauterized well enough, but the tumble that followed had torn the wound open and now it was bleeding hemosynth, which dribbled in thick rivulets down her jumpsuit leg and pooled, dark and red on the deck.

"Get down behind cover!" she hissed, her teeth gritted with pain. There was no way she could try to stop the bleeding with her hands, as the hemosynth was pouring out both ends of the wound and she did not have anything to try and bandage it up with. Her own internal self healing systems were already at work, trying to seal the wound and dull the pain, but they needed some serious help. "F***!" she snapped and slammed her fist into the deck as she looked for something to bandage the leg with.

Mat had been tossed around by the explosions wracking the ship, and had been knocked unconscious up until now. He woke up slowly, reaching up an arm to his head and feeling the slickness of blood.

Mat began to carefully stalk the halls on the way to the armory. If he wanted to survive, he was almost sure that he would need some protection.

Hallway outside of Bridge

Misaki looked at the both of them, seeing as they both still were standing there. Her left eye twitched ever so slightly as she barked again, "Move it! I have no intention of watching this ship get torn apart while you two stand here like damn posts!" She turned in a huff and headed into the bridge proper.

Bridge

Misaki moved and sat down straight down into the command chair, absolute hate in her eyes. She looked at the sensor's operator first, "I want to know how many of their ships are in system and the approximate location of any and all friendly assets, Yamataian, Nepleslian, I don't care." Next her gaze shifted to the pilot. "You, get some maneuvers going right now, I want all weapons firing at everything Mishhuvurthyar." Finally her gaze shifted back ahead at the view screen.

Due to the absence of the communications operator, Saki moved her hand to engage all emergency military channels and spoke aloud,

"Attentions to any vessel in the area, this is the YSS Kaiyo declaring a top level emergency. Mishu remnants have boarded the vessel, commanding officer is down, first officer is in command. Request urgently needed." She stopped speaking and set the message to repeat across all Star Army military frequencies.

She wanted to call in the hurt.

Meissa's third drone flew next to Amanozako. It sharply nudged her in the side, a bag of sorts that could be identified as a Star Army Butt Pack. It had its fair share of holes, burned by Aether.

It patiently waited for Amanozako to bandage herself, ready to cover her movement to her Reaper.

Power Armor Bay

As the Kaiyo's infantry, Wil, and Amanozako fought hard against the NMX pouring in through the breach in their ship, Rei entered the Power Armor Bay in silence and announced her presence only by way of drawing her katana to cut down a Parasite Mishhu who'd come to greet her. The grubby little worm's trajectory split off and into the deck with a splat as her blade peeled off the leathery skin from the left side of its long body. She kept it unsheathed and ready for anything else that came her way.

The Princess Aiko appeared just behind Rei, nose pointed toward the ceiling like it always was. While she seemed to ignore her crewmates struggles against the invading parasites, footslogging NMX Neko, and the Reaper power armors who supported the invasion, she was keenly aware of the deadly situation unfolding here and across the ship.

Still, she stepped forward directly in a line toward her crouched Kirie, dignified and aloof in the wake of Rei's protective fury. The Ketsurui Samurai darted back and forth as enemies noticed the princess, felling each one before they could assault her. Even the lightning reflexes of an Eihei trained to the highest standard could be bested by volume, though.

"Hime-sama!" Rei called out telepathically, her intense gaze addressing Aiko directly as she ripped her sword out of an NMX Neko's chest. One of the devious little parasites had taken note of the Imperial daughter and slipped past Rei's defensive net, rocketing through the air on a mission to burrow into the back of her neck.

At Rei's telepathically prompted warning, Aiko slid her feet into a firm combat stance and grabbed the hilt of her own katana, pulling away its white scabbard with one hand as she drew it with the other. She put all her force into the draw and followed her blade's natural motion with her body, eyes sharp and ready to guide her hand when she turned to see the creature. And just as it came close enough to open its three-beaked maw and reveal the ghastly set of grinding teeth below, Aiko's strike met with the parasite's face and split it down its middle. Her completed maneuver had brought her body upright again and flung the thing's brackish green blood off of her sword's shining blade, leaving her weapon extended diagonally down toward the deck from her hand.

The princess kept looking at Rei for a few moments, almost gawking in disbelief and excitement. Rei herself had already gone back to her work while Aiko stared, of course, and the princess soon sheathed her sword and turned back to regard her Kirie. The monster's two halves had slid across the polished floor behind her and left slimy trails that framed the big white-and-red power armor. It knelt like a quiet guardian statue from the palace, motionless and ready for Aiko's command.

She gave it without delay, and the mecha's eyes glowed blue before its body lifted apart at its torso to reveal the cockpit within. Aiko stowed her sword and hopped into the machine's soft, encompassing pilot pod, hugging her knees as the armor closed around her.

Now it was time to fight.

Cargo Bay

The Mishhu that was being targeted threw Calver directly at the SLAM's missile, but the blonde technician was squirming too much for him to hit the kinetic projectile. Instead he fell atop Endo, the medic.

The missile went splattering into and out of the Advanced Type and all over the walls, boxes, rice, and personnel in the cargo bay were entrails, tentacles, and blood. Behind the Mishhu, a hole was blown by the SLAM, which jammed itself into the cargo hold and then into the fabrication area of the ship, only to end up punching the wall of the zero-G passageway but not puncturing it.

The lot of them in the cargo bay were thrown backwards, away from the explosion, and their ears rung. They would find they could no longer hear and were slightly, but still noticeably, disoriented.

The Neko that Arbirbitrated had drawn her NSP on was struck in the torso and was flung backwards while another took its place in attacking Iemochi by shooting at him while flying through the air towards him.

Another NMX Neko began shooting on the pink-winged Elysian while a third and fourth took shots at Mitsuko, who had made herself a pretty apparent target for hostile engagement since destroying the Advanced Type.

Anastasia was not engaged. She had a perfect opportunity to use that concussion grenade, but what it was, she would have to find out.

Sutahira had the right idea, but could those in the cargo bay carry it out, he did not know. He would soon find out, though. In the meantime, he had one NMX Neko flinging herself through the air and at him, shooting fervently.

Power Armor Bay

As Rei got into her SARAH M7, a number of Reaper focused in on the Kirie and, instead of avoiding the Princess' powerful armor, they honed in on it. No less than three Reaper-clad NMX Neko began shooting out missile launchers from their thighs and plasma from their forearm cannons. They made themselves apparent enemies of the Empire by targeting that which represented it so blatantly.

Orion was targeted by one NMX Neko that shot at him with her rifle and stomped its heavy feet towards him before jetting into the air and becoming a difficult, flying target as it shot and almost hit Orion.

William would note that the NMX Neko were staying away from the pair of them, seemingly thinking them to be friendlies or just not able to see them.

Hanna's wrist blades worked at taking down three unarmored NMX girls in the fray and clouds of battle she had created, but soon she struck an armor that jumped out of the way. Then it wildly began firing its 50mm gauss rifle towards her.

Yoshida's new toy was capable and concussive, she had only had to find the right mark to be her next target with it. An enemy power armor that began firing its pasma forearm cannons at her could just be what she was looking for.

The Reaper that Meissa had slammed into the wall with her arm made an audible thunk sound when it hit, though it was far from incapacitated. While Meissa turned as if dancing, the Reaper-clad NMX Neko she had pushed against the wall made a movement to grab her wings, pulling the Mindy slightly towards her while Meissa’s aether saber slashed at the other Reaper that had previously been behind her. The one that she had slashed with her aether saber crumpled to the floor, clutching her chest and was on her knees. The one against the wall pulled Meissa towards her and made to break her neck by placing her hands just so on her helmet and back and leveraging with the two points of contact.

Hallways

Mat would notice the hallways were wracked with the sounds of explosions and bursts of weaponry from the cargo bay and power armor bay. Where he chose to go was up to him.

Medical Lab

In the empty sakura-type medical laboratory a hemosynthetic reconstruction tube began to fill upon Boss' orders, which had been given to the MEGAMI months prior. As all good captains prepared for the worst, the Kaiyō's had, as well.

Bridge

"Hai, Chui!" Deio Asuka said assuredly. "We have five scouts in the area and... This can't be right. I'm not getting a far-reaching reading. They must have jammed our scanners!"

"Ha-hai, Chui!" Ito tried to say it as strongly as Asuka had but found herself stuttering on her words. She made no motion to operate the weapons systems on the ship, though. Instead, she looked to the new CO with wide, scared eyes. She looked to be ready to cry.

Hallway Outside of the Bridge

Kawazoe Riku would be able to see the form of the soldier in her Mindy II as she backed up, entered the Zero-G passageway, and then went down. A loud bumping sound could be heard throughout the ship at that moment as the missile was propelled all the way from the cargo bay to the outside of the passageway Akiko was now in, just lower than she was.

Teleapthically, a message was sent to Boss by her as she did this:
Code:
Boss-San, Hayashi-Juni. Relay to rest of crew:
"Eden-Taii infected, then terminated by Norogumi-Chui to prevent birth of Mishhu.
Norogumi-Chui in command of Kaiyō.
Ghost-Type Mishhuvurthyar responsible for infection;
last seen moving towards Engineering or MEGAMI via phasing through decks.
Do not engage.
Report further sightings to MEGAMI.
If MEGAMI is compromised, report sightings to Hayashi-Juni."

Bridge

Riku returned to the bridge shortly after, his attention now focused again as they briefly glanced over the dead corpse of his Captain. The fact the XO still remained alive and had broken out of her usually meek and withdrawn shell gave him some hope that they would all make it out alive; little doubt in his mind that if anyone was to live. It would be the XO. The crew may die for the flag, suffer mentally from the knowledge they were killed in the line of duty and zapped into a storage device for later revival, but if Saki died ..

Just be sure to disobey orders now and again.
You just had to let up and let the Captain have her way.
Why didn't you go with her?
Maybe it would have happened anyway, hmm?
She would still be alive. Or maybe you'd both be dead and infected. The bridge overtaken.

The Taii had made the right choice, but in the end it meant little as he took his seat by communications and sat down. The headset still on his person, he heard the transmission being sent out throughout the emergency channels; another distress signal of higher priority being beamed out by MEGAMI due to the Chui's higher rank. Good. At least if they died, it wouldn't be in vain. As he spun the chair around and placed his hands on the console - and realized just how clean they were. He saw his death flashing in his mind, even as his hands worked to keep the communications net they still had from breaking down.

The scar on his cheek had long since healed over, a hand coming up to wipe away the drying red line.

I got lucky.

Meissa opened fire with her wrist-mounted cannons, point blank, into the shoulder area giving her an affectionate little hug while she got both her suit and her physical neck to resist the neck breaking. Her fourth drone also flew over beside her, shooting its gun, one-two-three, right into the Reaper's head. How cute of that one. That one must die in particular.

However, her position did grant her spectacular view of the Princess entering the bay. And wow, was she good at using that sword. Meissa had to say, she was impressed by Aiko's display of skill. But other things mattered too. Specifically the chain of command needed to be confirmed again, in accordance to the presence of an officer on deck.

"Princess!" Meissa shouted over comms, once the Kirie's comms connected to everyone else's. "You're safe! I gave orders in lack of officer presence, can you command?" She would be fine if Aiko didn't take command -- it was only a formality she made sure to keep. Either way she planned on protecting the Princess.

Meissa also decided to finally speak telepathically to Amanozako. "Amano. Get in your power armor." she said.

Near the Yamatai Entrance of the Cargo Bay

Mochi's other half winced and used her free hand to cover the ringing in her ear for a few moments, just barely managing to register hostile movement before weapons fire began to ricochet off one side of the cherry girl's crate. Shooting somewhat slowly to try keeping herself accurate in the currently applied disoriented state, Arb-Arb was draining the last of her munition reserves covering her medic and herself, unable to see the hell Seinosuke was going through. Partially crippled and disoriented, the undersized weapons operator was effectively pinned via lack of reliable bodily control against the crate and floor.

Misaki sighed as she looked to the pilot, "Let go of the system, get a grip." She showed a slight glimpse of the old Saki by giving a hopeful but concerned looks to the pilot before closing her eyes and taking the ship and weapons under her own control. The absolute first thing she did was seal the bridge, along with all other available doors that would respond. While the Ghost might be able to get through, the thralls would have all sorts of trouble.

Second, she began giving the ship violent and tactical maneuvers as if to give an authoritative stance in the dance of interstellar combat. She gave the turrets orders to fire at targets of opportunity, the NMX Scouts. Their primary turret underneath their prow was the primary target of the four large turrets on the Kaiyo's port and starboard sides. The railguns on the pylons on the ship's extreme's were set to target the hull and blast through their sides.

Finally, and most importantly, the Kaiyo's Aether Array began to grow hot on the exterior as it prepped to fire in salvos to the scout she decided to point the Kaiyo's bow towards. She was going to shove the entire beam down the scout's hanger and armor bay and just wreak havoc.

Cargo Bay

Endo looked up at the fellow medic. "I heard Misaki-" Endo was then rudely interrupted by the explosion, being flung out of position by the explosion.
Calver landed atop Endo, who was in the process of moving out after the explosion occurred. He rolled off her back and onto the floor as she was knocked to the ground ahead of her, face first. "Oooouh, its raining men..."

She got to work pulling herself off the floor, turning off the pain receptors active in her back. There might of been a spine injury, but it would have to wait. She turned to look at Calver, recognizing him as the one being assaulted by the advanced type.

A little farther West

Anastasia recoiled into cover as the SLAM projectile bored through the Advanced type Mishhuvurthyar. And then the wall behind it. Then the wall behind that, wincing with each crash. It was going to take the whole crew and more to fix that. She noticed that for each NMX down, another one soon followed from behind the crates. She considered throwing a grenade, but felt it was too risky. People were too close to the zone and she felt like it wouldn't help enough. She clipped it onto her belt again, saving it for a rainy day. Or more accurately, a bloody day.

Anastasia moved out of cover, beginning to fire upon the approaching forces. This time she caught the from a different angle, allowing her to hit quite a few before they could shift positions. Her mind was lagging behind, strategy becoming more difficult as the adrenaline continued to surge.

Riku had little time to react as he heard a voice yell, the sound of what seemed like intense cannonfire within the confines of the cramped passageway alerting him to the threat at hand. Misaki coughed a little while she sprawled her limbs as she hit the deck. She almost instantly regained her bearings and crawled with great speed to Eden, stopping her from reaching her NSP by running her arms around her stomach and using the majority of her body weight to pull back, "No, don't make me do this. Please, Eden-dono, don't make me do this."

She knew it was back to square one, and the tears flowing down her cheeks. She didn't want to kill Eden, she didn't want her to die. She was so locked into her tunnel vision that she seemed to forget the existence of her Soul Tranfer Backup, how for some reason she had to live instead of just getting the mercy shot.

Saki's grip was locked tight, no stopping it. She was shaking enough to be visible, and pulled herself close to Eden, giving out a teary, heartbroken whimper,

"Please don't die."

Even if we fall, our minds are safe in the folds of the Soul Transfer technology."

He bowed respectfully towards the two, then turned his attention towards the MINDY, "Reveal yourself, soldier. It's the least you can do for nearly killing me."

Her voice was strained when it finally formed words,

...obsv complete. Despite fail of eval, severe distress and trembling in hands suggest prob of 52% +- 34% that (XO, Chui, Norogumi, M) is compromised. Inconc, bu-

"I-I'm sorry I-I couldn't avoid this. We'll b-be waiting for you."

Misaki's right hand gripped at the NSP's grip and slowly pulled the trigger back until the weapon's audible report and recoil signaled that NSP had given a light of mercy on Eden.

Self-termination proc of (CO, Taii, Teien E) completed. Desig (CO, Taii, Teien E) as terminated. Done. Desig (XO, Chui, Norogumi, M) as TempCO. Done.

Orders Received. From: (TempCO, Chui, Norogumi, M). Anal...done. Order: Resume previous duty. Valid? True. Accept? True.

Misaki looked at the both of them, seeing as they both still were standing there. Her left eye twitched ever so slightly as she barked again, "Move it! I have no intention of watching this ship get torn apart while you two stand here like damn posts!" She turned in a huff and headed into the bridge proper.

The Chui's harsh tone provided the final push required to boot Akiko out of her loading phase and back into actual operation. Note: For future ref, refrain from conducting extended evals. Exec orders in prog. Prev known direc of (Ghost-Type, Mishhuvurthyar)? Downwards, toward MEGAMI/Engin. Furthermore...

Telepathically, a message was sent to Boss by her as she did this:

Code:
Boss-San, Hayashi-Juni. Relay to rest of crew:
"Eden-Taii infected, then terminated by Norogumi-Chui to prevent birth of Mishhu.
Norogumi-Chui in command of Kaiyō.
Ghost-Type Mishhuvurthyar responsible for infection;
last seen moving towards Engineering or MEGAMI via phasing through decks.
Do not engage.
Report further sightings to MEGAMI.
If MEGAMI is compromised, report sightings to Hayashi-Juni."

After sending the aforementioned telepathic message, the armor-clad SAINT Operative warily drifted down the aforementioned passage...

After redocking the aforementioned Bit, Akiko - still camouflaged - approached the closed doorway to the compartment containing the starship's MEGAMI, deployed two Nodal Support Bits from each thigh hangar, and readied her handheld rifle as she hugged the starboard side of the frame surrounding the computer room's armored doorway. Prep for breach...done. Ready. A deep breath, another telepathic message to Boss...

Code:

...and at last the Operative made her move, using the armor's propulsion systems to swing out in front of the aforementioned doorway with blinding amounts of speed. Breaching.

She was through with being imperfect - and she was through with allowing herself to affected by these inefficient things called emotions.

At least, that's what she told herself...

YSS Kaiyô, Power Armor bay

The barrel of his Aether beam saber rifle flared brightly with each discharge of lethal energy towards the enemy targets, simply spraying a big volley of automatic fire in the direction of the breach that still let more and more NMX neko's in. From the corner of his eye he could see Kokoro-hei getting her hands on the Aether gatling, all too eager to unload it's destructive force onto the relentless assailants.

As his own NSB's kept going about their buisiness picking off any parasitic cretins in their proximity, Abart'huse started to lose focus a bit. The tenacious whizzes of the soaring parasites eventually faded from his attention, getting somewhat tunnelvisioned on the breach and the armed combatants spewing out of it, just firing away at them absentmindedly.

As Nashira-hei spoke up, his head breifly turned backwards, the princess' presence coming to his attention. He only caught a glimpse of her before she got in her Kirie Armor, activating and taking it's rightful place as the commander of the hastily assembled forces here.

"....Hime-sama...."

He couldn't help but stare a bit at the elegant and dignified motions, taken aback by the sheer confidence and valor emanating from her stance. His mind snapped back to reality, reminded of what it was he had to do.......... can't look bad in front of the princess now can we?

Regaining his focus, he opened fire once more at the hostiles located near the breach, not in the mindless spray from before, but focussed bursts, amed directly at the ones that would do the same to him and his comrades.

"Right! Pop ém Kokoro! I got you!"
