YSS Kaiyo II
Bridge

Arbles frowned. Suddenly one of the infantry was calling out her species, or at least the so-claimed "highest" part of it- Archangels. The voice was male, and one she didn't recognize... one of the elusive medics, perhaps? Or was it one of the newbies being annoying?

She sighed, letting the fox-like neko pilot their ship. Telepathy on the bridge right now is faster and at less risk of confusion than shouting, or at least that's what Arbles thought.

"Keep us just outside of optimum range for the small craft as long as possible!" The smol Heisho's command rang through Kyoi's mind as, moments later, the Kaiyo II erupted into deadly flashes of light, its lighter cannons tearing into small craft and power armors whenever they hit.

Rearguard

Jambavan chuckled at his scaled comrade's comments, the vanguard were using for apparently splitting off. For whatever reason, he was sure the guys who had been doing this a while knew what they were doing. During this time the massive Kodian ran some diagnostics on his HELGA power armor, the green lights gradually ticking up as they ran through his HUD. His powered exoskeleton was decorated with a painted-on police shield over one breast and an official "MP" branded across his right upper arm.

Unlike the Mindies, the HELGA was essentially an artillery piece, with two Aether Shock Arrays mounted on each huge shoulder of the armor. Now, as the generator on his back span up as well as the internal Aether generator, these cannons normally only mounted on ships crawled up from their position across his shoulder blades. Locking into position on either side of the bear's head, they quickly charged to full capacity with the excess of power in his loadout.

One thing he found rather annoying as the fact his hands were simply too large for every standard Yamataian weapon he had seen, hence the grey-furred MP flexed his fingers, the weapons mounted against his wrists charging along with the rest of his equipment. While the others would be zipping around, the HELGA was generally too bulky, hence the bear maintained his position, the twin shoulder-mounted shields coming online and layering the living tank with two layers of protection.

NSBs deploying and buzzing around him in a sphere, triangulating targeting data, Jamba was ready to blast the life out of anything that strayed within his attack range. Which, it turned out, was pretty large. He would do just that.

Space -> Station

"Alright, so we're charging the station?" Karasawa asked as she tried to make sense of the conversation back and forthing. Also, aside the talking voice on the ship, she hadn't really been introduced to who was what rank. Was that snake the squad leader or just the janitor?

"Eh, fuck it. Making best speed." Karasawa rolled to reorient and poured speed from her TAPs. For a brief moment, it looked like she had wings of thruster wash. Then she was rocketing toward the station, following the others. Gatty held up, eager to actually make some use of it.

Yoshida paused as she thought it over. Split up and therefore divert the enemy's forces, or stick together to cover eachother's backs? Either way carried its risks and frankly, the infantry neko knew not what the correct decision here was. Of course she had to ACT like she knew at least. "Okay! We go for multiple hangers, We can disable enemy equipment on our way to meet back up, Plus we'll have multiple routes to choose from to retreat when we fall back- Just make sure not to go alone!"

It was so convincing, she almost convinced herself it was the right call. Well, either one was surely a way to go, depending on how much one trusted the individual skill of each soldier. For now, yoshida wished to assume that the majority of soldiers were quite capable of operating in small groups with great efficiency.

Hangar 3

Miko heard over the comms the FC picked the divide and die method of entering the station. He expected this to be the case since it would give more exit routes but could come at a higher price in neko lives.

"Lightning, going for bay 3, time to turn and burn."

Miko did a barrel roll flip and landed on the top of the station with a thud. His drones hooked over the top of bay 3 and started to blast anything moving inside this bay.

Sacre triggered her NSBs as Miko's drones went over the edge, they went in with the drones. The NSBd firing at whatever targets of opportunity that they could damage or to just cause as much damage as possible. Moments later, Sacre flew 'over' the hanger's open door and fired high explosive rounds into the hanger based on the targeting information from the drones and NSBs, wrecking everything left inside. She landed next to Miko, "I see your too over eager in addition to being clumsy with a knife, baka." As they ran out of energy, Sacre's NSBs flew back to her to hover in a circle around her.

Hangar 5

Walter Hyde obeyed the instructions of his field commander, going headfirst into that hangar. He dove for cover, firing his gun, and using his NSBs finish off the straggling L'Kor. Those NSBs return to recharge, fire back, rinse and repeat. Although he began to realize that if he went this conservative, he won't be helping anyone.

And then, he came up with a outlandish, crazy, but theoretically incredible idea. He disconnected his Aether Sabre from his suit, and had his femntomachines and NSBs latch onto the Saber-rifle, which he had set to Sword mode. "I have to remember that the femtomachines have a two meter range. Gotta keep this weapon close to me at all times." The saber-rifle levitated under the power of the NSBs, which were all around the handle and trigger, and the femtomachines being at the butt of the weapon.

With budding determination, Walter Hyde quickly leaped into action! Using the Mindy, he dodged as many blasts as he can, returning them to the L'Kor via his Aether Cannons. The floating weapon kept up with his speed, the femtomachines extracting the air around them to create small amounts of water and Rubidium, mingling the particles in the air, creating controlled explosions, effectively making the Aether-Saber into a missile.

Between the mid-range firepower of his Aether-Cannons, his tactically balanced maneuvering, and his automatic and precise close-range defense, Walter Hyde was being very destructive with the few tools he has on-hand.

Space Station Hanger 5

Miles watched as the team split into small groups and enter into different hangers causing mayhem, he knew his brother would get himself into trouble but seeing as though there was already a medic with him Miles opted to follow Walter into the fifth hanger and spread the medics around a bit.

"Hyde-Hei, hope you don't mind the company but I figured now is a good a time as ever to help you out for earlier." Miles spoke through the comms as he entered the hanger behind the engineer firing with lethal accuracy not expected of someone whos career was based on saving lives. "With a bit of luck I can keep you from being its first patient."

Space > Station, Bay 7

Welp, that was Bay 2 and 5 claimed already by pairs. She threw up a diagram on the fly and labelled who was where. Then she put her name next to bay 7 with a chibi icon of her face. If she bit off too much, she could fall back to bay 2 easy like.

She teleported in, appearing just outside the bay. Inertia carried her in, and she swooped down on the bay like a bird of prey. Her Aether Gatling opened up like the gates of hell, and she'd gleefully mow down whatever hostiles or potential hostiles she saw. Gave one last burst of speed at the end, intending to just shoulder charge and turn some poor bird into sauce from the impact.

Hitting the brakes was just so ordinary, right?

William nodded to Yoshida at the order to split up. "Copy that. I'll take that one." He said, designating one of the hanger that no one had selected yet. He left the formation once more on a direct path to the hanger, his forearm cannons flashing as he went to destroy what ever enemy unit got in his way.

As he entered, he scanned the bay and readied his swords for hostiles and any fighters that were still waiting to taxi. If he could clog the hanger now and prevent anymore enemy units from leaving it, it might help the Kaiyo out.

"Copy that!" Abart went and complied with the new order as soon as it came, turning to his humongous wingman trailing just behind him. "Sounds like our teatime's over, What do you say we head over to the first hangar and crash their party, Ersus?"

even in the void of space the snake's tail made small slithery motions out of reflex, making it look as if he was swimming through the vacuum like an oversized metal eel...... with a buttload of guns. Even with his forearm shield, abart wouldn't have much chance of getting past all the point-defense turrets lining the huge station. At times like these he was glad the teleportation thingemajig was a standard function of the Mindy itself.

"Of course it would be rude to enter without knocking..... please do the honors!" He said, pointing at the opening hangar door with two pistolhands. That slightly joking comment was the signal for Jamba to unleash those big party poppers, primed and ready, on his back.

YSS Kaiyo II
Bridge

Misaki observed the hangars being entered, relaying the status of the assault team through voice, "Marked hangars three and five are currently being assaulted. Current casualty rate is nil." She took a quick observation of the Kaiyo's side of the battlefield, looking at what the ship would have to fight herself.

She looked to Hoshi out of the corner of her eye, speaking flatly, "May I suggest using the Aether Array's Cone-Fire function as an area denial weapon on clear vectors? I doubt mere power armors and fighters will survive against overwhelming firepower."

As he started to be pleased with how things had been going do far, he heard the lady in waiting Sacre speak up. As always she was giving those words of praise like she always does. Being such a nice guy we wanted to return the kindness.

"Giving out that praise like always I see, glad you noticed." Miko said to Sacre. "And the fun is just..."

Miko cut himself off as he moved around Sacre. In an oops I tripped but not really, took the dull side of the Aether Saber and booped Sacre in the area that tends to be defined as the butt area for other races. He did a quick tuck and roll to try and hide the fact he tripped (which was fake) And be smooth about it.

"My knife skills are awesome, just need to work on walking still." He said in a half laugh as he looked over to her.

Sacre was suddenly taken back in time. She could feel the collar that marked her as a slave almost choking her. She was surrounded by her captors. The tall Sepra'Shan tried to make herself small, unnoticed. She was afraid. Coming back to reality from her flashback, Sacre felt a rage fill her. Sacre moved quickly, in an instant she had wrapped her long body around Miko in a crushing grip and brought his helmeted face close to hers. She opened up a private comm line between the two of them. There was real anger in her voice, rather then the almost bored sarcasm that she usually portrayed. "Touch me like that again, and I will cut off your miserable excuse for genitalia and burn them in front of you." Then she hurled Miko bodily into Hanger 3.

Sacre floated there a moment, regaining her composure. She probably shouldn't have reacted like that, but being in that place again was unpleasant to say the least. She felt her fury rising at Miko, she wanted to chase him down with her own Aether Saber and stab him repeatedly. She waited another couple moments to calm down some more. There were other things to consider right now, like the mission. Miko's actions wern't a problem to be solved with murder, although Miko wasn't getting any painkillers any time soon.

She refocused herself on the mission, which had apparently turned into taking the station. At the moment, they needed to get into the station, so that meant the hanger. She dove into the hanger and spotted a door to the inside opening with a L'Kor coming out of it. She hit him like a ton of bricks and with a swift slice of her Aether Saber sent his head rolling from his body. Four more quick slashes turned the door into a permanent hole for them to get through. She ducked through it and deeper into the station, "This way, Baka."

Just as Walter was getting overwhelmed, Miles came in and cleared out the surrounding enemy. "Well well well, I get a good friend whom is a medical professional rising to the top!", Walter exclaimed with subtle grandiose upon Miles's entrance.

The engineer, with some grace, retreats back to his fellow medic, his self-propelled Saber-Rifle following by his side. Walter was glad Miles came in when he did, at this point the Saber-Rifle had exhausted its energy, and that was bad when you have to deal with more enemies at once. Walter scatters all of his drones, and reconnects the Saber-Rifle to his PA, letting energy surge in once again.

"Thank you for coming in on such short notice,", he said with some of his trademark casualness. "I can't imagine doing this alone!"

There is that moment in life when you know something bad is about to happen that wasn't planned for. That, "hold my beer," so I can do something completely uncalled for.

As Sacre spoke to Miko, he knew his actions had crossed a line. He had a brief moment to reflect on his decisions before smashing into a cargo container inside hanger 3. The throw was hard enough to dent in the entire side of it and smash it up against the far wall. His 4 drones, hovered over him like your buddies that just seen their bro get beat up.

"Gah, the hell...." It took Miko a moment to regain his senses. "One hell of a throw." His Mindy armor listed off a damage report showing his drone pack was mildly damaged from the impact.

"Feel a sorry is in order, but can wait till after the battle. We got business to attend to first."

Miko pushed himself out of the container and back onto the floor. Her anger had knocked the sense back into him. There was a job at hand and someone had give the L'Kor something to die from. Miko charged after Sacre who was clearing a path. He took comfort in knowing out of all the L'Kor on the ship, he feared Sacre more than any of them.

"Let's do it, snakeman." the grizzled Kodian grinned, allowing his comrade-in-arms to slither his way through the cold vaccum, the tip of the Separa's tail wiggling in such a way he felt as if he was being hypnotised following behind. It was Jamba's first real mission and he could feel the adrenaline pumping already, causing his hackles to stand on end as they drew up to the first hangar.

Like his scaled counterpart, the bear made a sort of romping-bounding motion as he boosted through towards the enemy ship. Chuckling at Abart's pistolhands, the grey furred not-so-teddybear trained his Aether Arrays across the remaining distance, HUD targeting reticle spinning as it calibrated the shot.

"Anyone home?" Ersus jested, gesturing as if knocking with his hands, the cannons lighting up with immense force. The energy of the raw Aether surging towards the hangar was immense and caused Jamba to recoil a little, having never shot them out of training. With the shot almost going wide yet hitting true in the hangar, Jamba felt as if he'd failed somehow. Like a part of him had gone, almost, his race instilled with such empathy to others he actually felt bad to have fired in the first place.

His upbringing in the wilderness of his homeworld Gashmere soon dampened the feeling but he was overwhelmed with an urge to see if he had actually killed anyone, though his inital horror at the realisation that he was a soldier was gone, hopefully for good.

His armor, however, was not equipped with teleportation as standard. Not that he'd need it if he was fast enough. Willing his NSBs to act as a sort of interference to any point defence that was being manned despite the boarding, Ersus was confident his shields had enough juice to keep him safe to cover the distance. "Catch me if you can, 'Huse-hei!" he played off with a howl, firing his engines hard towards the newly-toasted Hangar 1.

Hangar 1 --> Hangar 2

Despite his overwhelming confidence at being able to pull off the maneuver, Jamba realised a few seconds too late that he probably wouldn't be able to stop in time in the short distance inside the hangar. In no time at all, the Kodian was inside the ship, unable to stop despite his reverse thrust as he careened into one side of Hangar 1. The massive beast roared in a flurry of emotion as the thick metal walls of the hangar seemed to crumple and cave before him. Suddenly, there was no resistance and he was seemingly flying through nothing but air. Furrowing his brow in that split second, the bear barely registered the fact before slamming into one of the many containers inside Hangar 2, coming to a complete stop having punctured through one side of the container but not quite the other. He groaned a little, huffing and wiggling his nose in annoyance, lying there while his senses returned.

Station Hangar 5

Miles did a quick check of the hangar to ensure there was no more hiding behind containers or other cover. "You realise I had to change my swhole shcedule to come at such notice, It'll cost you extra for this." Miles joked as he checked over the vitals of everyone, he could see that Miko and Jamba had both taken a mild impact but had no real injury and dismissed it as being a crash or blunt strike. "So Hyde-hei, lead the way and I shall follow and please don't bleed on the carpet if we find any."

Space --> Hangar 2

Mat sailed into the hangar just in time to see Jamba crash through the wall separating it from hangar 1. He did a quick once over of the room and sprinted over to the container that Jamba had embedded himself inside and tore off the side.

He reached down and offered a hand to the large bearlike armored soldier and said, "You okay Jamba? Next time remember to brake. While you're clearly an effective kinetic weapon, I think everyone would prefer you stay in one piece."

Hangar 2

Shaking his head a few times, Jamba mumbled in his native tongue a bit, wiggling to free himself of the bear-shaped indent he had formed around his HELGA in the back wall of the container. With the helpful surprise of someone's Mindy breaking through one of the sides, light poured into the enclosed space. Grasping and enveloping Mat's armored hand, Ersus worked himself free, being sure not to pull or clasp too hard as he did. With a shriek of metal on metal, the Kodian popped free. "Thanks.. Too hasty on my part." he muttered a tad sheepishly, letting Mat lead the way back out into the hangar proper. It didn't seem his equipment was damaged from a courtesy glance at his HUD, though he felt a little worse for wear but not heavily so.
